Abilities:
Synchronize:
(Passive) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison-types cannot be poisoned and Fire-types cannot be burned in this manner.
Trace: (Trigger) When entering into battle, this Pokemon can copy an ability on one of its opponents for 6 EN. This effect only triggers if the ability to be copied is specified when the Pokemon is sent out. The ability remains on the Pokemon for six (6) actions. Trace can be reused with an action later in battle for 5 EN. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.

Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:
Aftermath:
(Passive) If this Pokemon uses Selfdestruct or Explosion, the attack has ten (10) more Base Attack Power and five (5) more Energy Cost to execute.
Unburden: (Passive) This Pokemon is incredibly possessive. If it uses or loses an item in battle its rage swells and its Speed doubles (x2) until it receives another item. This ability only activates on the first use of a consumable item - subsequent uses of the same item do not activate Unburden, even if the Pokemon switches out between uses.
Flare Boost: (Passive) [LOCKED] This Pokemon's body can harness the heat from a burn into internal energy, fuelling its mental capabilities. When Burned, the Pokemon's special attacks have two (2) more Base Attack Power.

Harvest (Passive): At the end of each round, this Pokémon can recycle or restore a berry that has been used or partially used. If the weather is Sunny Day, the Berry will be fully restored / recycled 100% of the time. If the weather is not Sunny Day, the Berry will be fully restored / recycled 50% of the time. This check occurs immediately after the final action of a round, before any arena effects that might change the weather take effect. Hiya folks! We have a beginner battle going on today. It's ViralN9's first battle in ASB, so everyone give a warm welcome! We'll see how this trainer fares against akela, a more experienced opponent. ViralN9 leads with Deino, while akela sends out Kricketot. As underwhelming as Kricketot appears, it does have the type advantage in this matchup, so who knows how it'll go.

Deino immediately starts by using Focus Energy to pump itself up. That means for the next 6 actions, it will always crit. That could really pay off in the long run! On the other hand, Kricketot immediately goes on the offensive, using Bug Bite to deal some damage and remove Deino's Oran Berry.

In response, Deino shoots out a Thunder Wave at Kricketot, paralyzing it. The paralysis doesn't immediately kick in though, as Kricketot uses Struggle Bug to do more damage while also lowering Deino's special attack. Still, paralysis is known for kicking in at unfortunate times, so we'll see how it goes!

Deino finally decides to go on the offensive, jumping at Kricketot and chomping down with Fire Fang. The attack scores a critical hit due to Focus Energy, and also does super effective damage. Deino could easily outdamage Kricketot if it remains on the offensive like this. Kricketot goes in for another Bug Bite, and while there is no Berry left to eat, it does still deal nice damage.

At the end of the round, Deino looks more worn out than Kricketot, but it did manage to set up a lot. We'll see which Pokemon comes out on top in the next few rounds...

If Struggle Bug is Used turn 1 and foe is not fully paralyzed use Dragon Rage

You can only Toggle Hustle when you order first, but it does not use up an action.

Bug Bite > Bug Bite > Bug Bite

Oh, I'm just realizing that Kricketot's Bug Bite would have used Deino's Oran Berry. I've edited the first round but you guys should reorder I guess? (Sorry!!!)

Just a note, the "and foe is not fully paralyzed" part of your subs is illegal (because you'd already have moved by the time they were paralyzed). Other than that they're good though.

Deino, on the defensive again, uses Double Team to create two copies of itself. Kricketot is immediately thrown off by this, and attempts to use Bug Bite again, but attacks a clone. There's only one clone left though, so the next attack has a 50-50 shot of hitting the real Deino.

Back on the offensive, Deino jumps at Kricketot with another Fire Fang. In its hustle it almost misses, but it manages to clamp down and inflict major damage on Kricketot. All of those damage modifiers really add up when using super effective attacks! Kricketot tries to attack as well, but the Thunder Wave from earlier kicks in and leaves it fully paralyzed. How unfortunate for akela!!

Deino goes in for another chomp, this time just a normal Bite. This attack also hits, though it doesn't flinch or anything special, and Kricketot manages to successfully retaliate with Bug Bite. Things look pretty even between the two Pokemon now. Deino has a lot of power behind it, however Hustle is notoriously unreliable so it could put Deino in a tough spot. Kricketot unfortunately also has hax to worry about, as that paralysis can really be a bitc... but oh wait, Kricketot just shed its skin, and it looks like isn't troubled by the paralysis anymore! Interesting....

Both trainers recall their Pokemon; akela sends out Lileep, while ViralN9 sends out Drifloon. This should be a fun matchup to watch, though also a potentially long one...

Drifloon starts off by using Hypnosis to put Lileep to sleep. The attack lands, and Lileep falls into an intense sleep that will take 2 actions to snap out of. That's lucky, because sleep moves usually only put the target to sleep for 1 action (and Hypnosis has notoriously terribad accurary).

Drifloon then begins to Stockpile food it got from god knows where, increasing its defenses. Lileep is still fast asleep....

Finally attacking, Drifloon uses a powerful Hex on Lileep, but because Lileep is so bulky it only dealt a little damage. Luckily Lileep was still asleep so the damage was boosted, but it was still minimal. Lileep responds with a Sludge Bomb, but it doesn't look like it was very effective, especially with Drifloon's boosted defenses.

Drifloon continues its defensive play, using Minimize to shrink itself and increase its evasion. This works perfectly to its advantage as it causes the Confuse Ray shot by Lileep just afterwards misses. The evasion boost doesn't decay either, so as long as Drifloon stays in it'll be very annoying to take down.

It seems ViralN9 has stalling tactics in mind, as Drifloon then spews out Toxic at Lileep, badly poisoning it. The poison will slowly take its toll on Lileep... however Lileep just shoots out a blinding light with Flash, lowering Drifloon's accuracy. I think the major hit has already landed though, as Lileep begins to feel the poison's damage.

Having done what it needed to, Drifloon just recovers energy with Chill, while Lileep launches another Sludge Bomb. The attack has a good chance of poisoning Drifloon, but it fails to. Meanwhile, the already poisoned Lileep once again feels the stinging pain.

Before Drifloon can act, Lileep starts to charge up, soaking in the sunlight. Drifloon unleashes another Hex on Lileep. The damage isn't all that great, but it seems ViralN9 is aiming to whittle away at Lileep slowly over time. Lileep fires an impressive SolarBeam at Drifloon, though the attack was again not very effective. The poison starts to affect Lileep once more, stronger than before. It doesn't look like akela has a cure for that on hand, so Lileep is at a big disadvantage in this matchup.

Drifloon then casts a Haze throughout the arena, reverting all stat modifiers. This has the unfortunate side effect of removing Drifloon's evasion boost, but it does also remove the accuracy reduction. There seems to be a lingering fog that will still lower accuracy for about 3 actions though. Lileep aims to hit Drifloon with Grass Knot, but misses due to the fog.

Lileep seems to suffer in pain again from the poison, but Drifloon just takes the time to Chill. Lileep goes in for a second Grass Knot and this one connects, but Drifloon's typing and small size make the attack do pitiful damage. Even though the poison takes its toll on Lileep one more time, I have a feeling this matchup will last for a very long time...
