    [Overview]

<p>Oobemu is bound too banished to never-used in competitive play outside of the VGC due to it's crummy speed and pure psychic typing, yet in the VGC it can actually shine brighter than many of the metagames stars due to decent trick rooming speed and a great special stat of 125. Along with being able to wield a solid special movepool Oobemu can hit hard and "fast" under the effects of Trick Room.</p>

    [SET]
    name: Trick Roomer
    move 1: Trick Room
    move 2: Thunderbolt
    move 3: Psychic/Psycho Shock
    move 4: Shadow Ball/Energy Ball
    item: Focus Sash
    ability: Telepathy
    nature: Quiet
    evs: 252 SpA 252 HP 4 SpD
    ivs: 0 Spe

    [SET COMMENTS]

<p>This set is effective due to its ability to set up trick room and proceed to sweep. While spamming Psychic or Psycho Shock/Thunderbolt is its primary focus with STAB and power. Shadow Ball is just filler to take care of those pesky ghosts such as Cofagrigus who happens to be slower and can OHKO you with Nasty Plot boosted Shadow Ball. </p>

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>The area under the [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS] tag doesn't appear immediately when you look at an analysis. Instead, the contents of this section appear when you click the link that says "Team Options & Additional Comments >>>". This exists to condense the length of an analysis except where the user actually does want to read more.</p>

<p>The first paragraph of the additional comments section is reserved for explaining other aspects of the set, such as EV selection, nature selection, item selection, IV selection, and ability selection. The first paragraph is also used to describe moves that are still viable on the set for specific teams, but that are not slashed into the set for general use. The second paragraph is reserved for team options and counters. This is to inform the reader why and how certain Pokemon work better with this Pokemon than others, and similarly how certain Pokemon beat this Pokemon better than others. Note that this second paragraph is not to describe the general purpose team options and counters to the Pokemon, rather certain specific Pokemon that work better with or against this set.</p>

    [Team Options]

<p>This area of the analysis elaborates upon general purpose allies for the Pokemon and why they work. Generally, the length of this section ranges from a single paragraph to four, depending on how many other Pokemon work well with this Pokemon or how much support this Pokemon needs.</p>

    [Optional Changes]

<p>The optional changes tag lists other things that the Pokemon can do. This includes, but is not limited to, general purpose changes that can be made to any set, such as using a different ability; moves that aren't really recommended and why; and sets that are decent if used properly, but not successful enough to warrant a full analysis.</p>

    [Counters]

<p>Several Pokemon can successfully wall this set with barely a scratch. Most notable are Ferrothorn who is completely able to absorb all moves thrown at it be Oobemu and Cofagrigus who is slower and can easily set up. Also Escalvalier can OHKO with stab X-scissor and is immune to Psychic and shrugs off Thunderbolt along with being slower in trick room.</p>

Why would Oobemu be spamming Thunderbolt when it has Psychic? It seems kind of random...

Oobemu is the only fully evolved Pokemon in VGC 2011 to receive Telepathy as a standard ability, so you might as well make good use of it. It's definitely more useful than Synchronize.

...Isn't there a Musharna in the Dreamyard you can get post-Ghetsis with Telepathy?

I meant how Oobemu's isn't a "DW ability" like Musharna's, but yeah that was confusing and unnecessary, my bad.

Only poke to get it as a standard ability, the Dreamyard Musharna is a special event.

Anyways, Thunderbolt is for Tornelos' and Burungerus. Also, Shadow Ball>Energy Ball, and if it is setting up TR you almost always want Focus Sash or Mental Herb.

Definitely needs mention of Side Change, probably even on the standard set. It's is one of Beheeyem's best options.

why speed evs on a trick roomer? surely you would put them into something like SDef or Def for some use?

"SpD" means Special Defense, not Speed.

    "Spe" would mean Speed.
