Alomomola @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Scald
- Toxic

Spiritomb @ Black Glasses
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Foul Play
- Will-O-Wisp

I decided to use a more defensive approach to handling this team, since the first thing i noticed was that alomomola really did a number to his team, and meloetta was his only way of taking advantage of alomomola, that's where the spiritomb shows up. Alomomola can take on any pokemon 1 on 1 except meloetta (which it can still toxic on the switch), and click protect whenever meloetta is inside and go to spiritomb (which this melo cant touch) or force a predict from the meloetta side that is heavily in alo/tomb's favour since if meloetta doubles back to avoid tomb, alomomola is a free switch in to everything else and can protect on melo anytime.
Additional interesting things to note: this alomomola is the perfect switch in to windsong's alomomola since if this mola gets burnt, flygon cant toxic it, as well as if mola knocks off this one, sneasel's knock off will be considerably weaker and mola then becomes an even better counter to sneasel.

Moving on week 3's subject...

This time we've got the team Esteemed User Ginku used against myself in last week of SPL, a pretty interesting bulky offense centralised around Cofagrigus' neat status spreading core in Toxic Spikes + Will-o-Wisp. Thus alongside two powerful wallbreakers in LO Abomasnow/Mixed Flygon, as he ended up fitting that same set i used against pokeaim in week 3 of SPL in his team (hilarious how the scenario in both games ended up pretty similar), SubSalac + Baton Pass Durant which not only can clean whole games by itself, but can pass off a key substitute to nearly any other members of his team off Durant's common counters and proceed to stallbreak pretty much any balanced archetype this way. At last here goes pivot SR Diancie pretty much as a glue mon', supporting the whole team pretty well in its great typing plus heal bell. Pretty strong squad, yet i can easily see it having a few flaws.

Here's the replay (downloadable only)

As usual, make sure to read the rules before submitting, good luck !

I suppose I'll get the ball rolling.

After a little examination, I noticed this team has a pretty big weakness to Sneasel, especially the Iron Tail variant, which can pressure Confagrigus and outright OHKO Virizion, Flygon, and Diance. However, Sneasel is checked by Durant and, as much as it hates taking knock off, can be burned by Confagrigus. This is where Choice Scarf Emboar steps in, deterring Confagrigus from spamming Will-O-Wisp and swiftly destroying Abomasnow and Durant.I went for Heavy Slam on Emboar as I honestly hate running sleep talk on it and would much rather KO Diance than be able to kind of switch into sleeping moves.

Emboar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge
- Heavy Slam

Sneasel @ Life Orb

Right off the bat I realized that this team can be extremely Fletchinder weak since it depends on Diancie or Cofagrigus' ability Mummy to switch in. With that in mind I decided to use the dankest lure in the book, Steel Wing Fletchinder which gets 100% OHKO at +2 leaving Cofag to be the only thing that doesn't just die to +2 Acro. Ginku's team can also have issues with Specs Meloetta especially since he has nothing to Pursuit it and it switches into Cofag freely and clicks Psychic which 2HKOs Cofag and almost 2HKOs Diancie eventually opening up for Fletch to sweep.

Fletchinder (F)
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 152 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Def / 28 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Swords Dance

Meloetta @ Choice Specs

lol are you kidding me
Durant @ Life Orb
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- X-Scissor
- Iron Head
- Superpower
- Crunch
This Pokemon breaks literally every RU team known to mankind

...but since everyone's posting cores and you actually need some chip damage on Cofag, I guess I'll give you a partner for little ant

Houndoom @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 220 Atk / 36 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Fire Blast
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Crunch / Taunt
I don't think I need to explain how this match up works like. Could possibly come down to an ant Speed tie, but it's not like we're not used to seeing that in SPL or anything.

note: I have no intentions of downgrading Ginku's teambuilding skills with this post. You know what its purpose is

Gonna post something a bit more creative, this team is pretty cool tbh since it uses toxic spikes to add pressure to toxic spike absorbers really well it having a durant with substitute, life orb flygon and a regular abomasnow. As said something creative and niche which Ive been having tons of fun lately:

+

Articuno @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 0 Atk
- Ice Beam / Freeze-Dry
- Hurricane
- Substitute
- Roost

Flygon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Defog
- Earth Power
- Roost
- Draco Meteor

Sub Roost is a really cool set on articuno and basically punishes this team for using durant as their only ice resist. Being able to set a substitute on a -2 flygon, cofagrigus and checking this regular aboma variant really well, means this team can struggle to deal with the ice bird. Behind a sub, it is even worse. Hazard removal with this mon is mandatory so enter the classic special LO flygon to wear down diancie for articuno and provide hazard control.

Cool elegant niche mon that just happens to break this team! Now excuse me, I have to continue my research.

Literally nothing switches into Absol's coverage. Like nothing. Sadly its basic speed means viriz, ant and Fly will have an easy time RK'ing it without delving into Sucker Punch mindgames (also I can't post the God that is Absol only fuck). Well, that's where fletch comes into play. Being able to deal with all the offensive mons in a whiff is p. cool (with the added bonus of ZHB sigi which I dislike utterly :D) thanks to Absol wearing down Diancie and Cofag with its god coverage and Knock Off respectively.

Absol @ Life Orb
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough
- Iron Tail

Fletchinder
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 152 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Def / 28 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

Bulk Up Braviary + Bronzong is a hard core for the team to beat, especially because Braviary can set up on Cofagrigus, and has one counter: Diancie, which is handled rather easily by Bronzong. After one Bulk Up, it is very hard to take Braviary down, meaning that Diancie will switch in, and Bronzong can set up Stealth Rocks to wear it down. Bronzong can also check Durant and Abomasnow with HP Fire, can 2HKO Diancie with Gyro Ball, and Toxic any Pokemon trying to switch into it. The only way to take Braviary down would be to take it down with Abomasnow, but if Braviary is behind a Substitute, Abomasnow is KOed by Brave Bird, while Bronzong is a counter.

Braviary @ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Substitute
- Bulk Up
- Roost
- Brave Bird

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

When I've seen that team I tell myself "Why Durant 6-0 this team so easily ?" after i saw also that M-Camerupt could be a big threat. Indeed he can switch in a lot of moves. Moreover the team have some difficulties to switch in it. Then Durant is an awesome threats for this teams but it has more difficulties to switch in.

Camerupt @ Cameruptite
Ability: Solid Rock(Sheer Force after mega-evolved)
EVs: 248 HP / 176 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast/Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Ancient Power/Toxic/Stealth Rock

Durant @ Life Orb
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Superpower
- Iron Head
- X-Scissor

Thanks to the ability Sheer Force Camerupt can damage heavily this team : Fire Blast OHKO Virizion, Abomasnow and Durant and 2HKO Cofagrigus, when HP Ice OHKO Flygon. Earth Power OHKO Durant and 2HKO Diancie and Cofagrigus. Flamethrower is a weaker alternatives to Fire Blast if you fear the miss. The fourth slots is to your preferences. On the one hand Ancient Power can 2HKO Aboma and Durant if you've spend all the PPs of Fire Blast. On the other hands Toxic can be annoying as this teams lacks of statues remover. Finally you can run Stealth Rock if you want increase your chance to OHKO Diancie with Earth Power or Cofagrigus with Fire Blast and help Durant to OHKO more easily Virizion and Flygon.

Durant has more difficulties to switch in against this team but it can switch in Diancie or Abomasnow but you have to take care about HP Fire with the last. Durant can easily set up on Diancie with Hone Claws which negates the loss of acurracy cause by Hustle. Iron Head OHKO Diancie, Flygon and Abomasnow and can OHKO Virizion when Durant is not set up. At +1 Iron Head OHKO all the teams except Cofagrigus and Durant which are 2HKO. Superpower OHKO Aboma and Flygon and can OHKO Virizion and Durant and guarantee OHKO them at +1. X-Scissor OHKO Aboma and Flygon and can OHKO Virizion which is guaranteed OHKO when Durant is set up.

Okay, Voting will end sometime this afternoon, so anyone who hasn't yet, make your picks!

Anyway, this is just a little blurb about how we now have a banner, brought to us by the very generous Sobi. A huge shoutout to him. If you can't see the banner for whatever reason, I think I can get it fixed. Thanks for all the support on this project so far!

And the voting time is up! We have our winner!
Pearl

lol are you kidding me
Durant @ Life Orb

You know what its purpose is
Moving on to week 4! You will be breaking... me! So it really shouldn't be hard.

I basically built this team around spamming HJK with Medicham after ghosts and fat Psychics have been removed by Houndoom's pursuit. Mega Steelix acts as a Durant check, Fletchling stop and reliable rocker. Venusaur acts as an Alomomola switchin and generally as a very good balance breaker. Choice Scarf Flygon add much needed speed to the team and generally revenges things and grabs momentum. Durant is there because Durant=Win.

Here's an extra challenge for this round-break this team without using Durant. I know that my team is somewhat weak to it, but as Pearl said...

This Pokemon breaks literally every RU team known to mankind
