Project Break This Team (Week 42)

Voting Time is up and we have a winner. Congradulations to littlelucario for making the hall of fame for the 2nd time with his Fighting spam core of Keldeo + Mega Medicham. I will update the hall of fame sometime during the week to have the past 2 Winners.

Since this is the 10th week I figured we would do something a little different. Instead of breaking a famous or ladder topping team, you'll be breaking me instead. What a better way to enter the hall of fame then through humiliating my team building skills. Thats right T-wave + magic guard spam has arrived and I'm putting my money where my mouth is.

Explanation:
The Concept of the team of this team is not only pure evil, it is a combination of everything I love in pokemon, Multiple Fairies, Thunder-wave and a means to screw over an entire portion of the meta with fun abilities such magic guard. Pretty much this team is a big screw you to hazard and status spam whilst letting me throw out my own.

The Concept is simple Mitigate hazard and status damage through the Core of Clefable and Reunilus while spaming T-wave and weakening the opponents to the point one or the other can CM to win in the process making life hell for special attackers. Bold Clef is ran over Standard to deal with crap like specs latios and Adamant lop who would otherwise troll me. Mega Manetric rounds out the core by dealing with its biggest problem's Scizor, Talonflame and fast mons that can ignore T-wave. Landorous is added to give a double intimidate engine with mane, set rocks and Status stuff that T-wave cant. Ferrothorn is there as a secondary check to most contact attackers, manaphy and lets me spread more T-wave + spikes. Finally Azu is added not only so I can spread the joy of Fairy Spam but to give me a way to break bulky crap open, beat gliscor as well as revenge with aqua jet. All in all a fairy good mix of MG, T-wave and fairy spam all in one

Thanks everyone for sticking with me for 10 weeks. Cheers to 10 more and goodluck with this weeks Team. You may now post. Spam those Bisharps ROFL

Reserving Gengar + Scizor.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn

LO Gengar can easily overwhelm this team with its STAB moves & at worst, 2HKO's everything, & the switch-in is Ferrothorn, meaning that every time Gengar comes in, something will die or get damaged heavily. On the other side of the spectrum, Bulky SD Mega Scizor gets free set-up opportunities against Reuniclus, Landorus-T, and Azumarill, and can U-Turn out to a teammate vs. Mega Manectric.

EVs: 24 Atk / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earth Power

This core just decimates your team. Mega Scizor handles Clefable and Reuniclus all by itself and lures Ferrothorn with Superpower. KyuB in turn takes care of Mega Manectric, KOes Azumarill and Landorus, and again lures Ferrothorn.

Volcarona @ Passho Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt
- Healing Wish
At +1 and with passho berry, Volcarona outspeeds and pretty much destroys the majority of this team by itself, straight up OHKO-ing 3/6 members and just needing rocks or a bit of prior damage for Azumarill, Clefable and Lando. Mega Bro checks aforementioned Azu, Clef and Lando, helping to get the required chip damage, and also acting as a backup wincon should Volc go down. Doesn't really care about t-wave and wins the cm war with clef thanks to psyshock. Latias removes hazards to let Volc get in and set up easier, pressures the walls further, and also provides healing wish support should Volc or Bro get statused prematurely.
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Giga Drain vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Azumarill: 304-358 (79.1 - 93.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 844-996 (239.7 - 282.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 331-390 (86.6 - 102%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 333-393 (118.5 - 139.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 84+ SpD Clefable: 252-297 (63.9 - 75.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 252 HP / 56 SpD Reuniclus: 488-576 (115 - 135.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mew
@ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Soft-Boiled
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off

Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power Fire
- Taunt
- Synthesis

Mew can lead from turn 1 and begin terrorizing this team. Azumarill is burned by Will-O-Wisp and can only manage 33.2 - 39.2% with Play Rough afterwards. To decrease this damage, Mew can remove its Choice Band and heal itself comfortably. Ferrothorn is a sitting duck, being burned and Taunted to block any Leech Seed or Thunder Wave attempts. Mega Manectric deals 27.7 - 33% with Thunderbolt, and is whittled down between Will-O-Wisp and Knock Off. Landorus-T is slower and burned like the others, failing to do much back. SR attempts can also be Taunted. Reuniclus is taken down by multiple Knock Off hits and only does 25.8 - 30.7% back with Shadow Ball, which is healed easily. Although Clefable takes a while to take down, it hates having its item removed and can't scratch Mew in the slightest with Moonblast. Any attempts Clefable makes to Thunder Wave or heal itself are Taunted.

While Mew practically sits itself on top of this team, it does take a while to make this team die a slow, painful death. That's why Serperior is here to speed the process up. Bar Mega Manectric, who is handled nicely by Mew, Serperior is faster than every team member and can Leaf Storm against the likes of Azumarill with little to fear. From there, +2 Serperior becomes hugely threatening and can spiral out of control quickly. Assuming Mew has softened the team up prior to Serperior coming in, the snake has an even easier time cleaning up. Taunt and Synthesis allow Serperior to keep itself healthy and block any paralysis or CM attempts from Clefable and Reuniclus, making it that much more threatening.

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe
Modest Nature
- Substitute
- Hidden Power Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Curse
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover

Curse Gastrodon has a legitimate shot to sweep this team if not for Ferrothorn. Magnezone takes care of Ferrothorn quite easily. I have two reasons for running this Magnezone set over a choice set. Firstly, it can set up a Substitute on Ferrothorn preventing it from Leech Seeding. Secondly, having the ability to switch moves after defeating Ferrothorn keeps out both Clefable and Azumarill - the two other pokemon on this team that have a solid chance at beating Gastrodon in a 1v1 scenario. As soon as Gastrodon sets up its first Curse, it can 1v1 both of these pokemon and subsequently the rest of the team. So basically trap Ferrothorn with Mag and force a revenge kill (which can't be Azu or Clefable), set up a Curse with Gastrodon and proceed to sweep.

1 night and 5 cores up with 2 more to come. You guys must really want to mock me ROFL.

Keep it up guys. I may end up posting my own core at this rate lol.

Don't worry I'll dedicate a team to you one of these days by naming everything "CoC's Lovechild"
D: you wouldn't dare. I'm not sure weather to be scared or proud

I'm assuming this is revenge for all the times I've t-waved you and others as well encouraging the use of fairy spam.

Guess I'll join in to dismantle this team.
+

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power Fire
- Synthesis

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 SpD / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit / Swords Dance

Mega Venusaur beats every single member of the team except Reuniclus as it can hurt every single member hard with its attacks and heal up with Synthesis when the team struggles to 2HKO it. Then, Bisharp is added to the core to heavily pressure Reuniclus with Knock Off or Pursuit Trap Reuniclus, causing you to click "X" as you cannot get past Mega Venusaur. Bisharp itself is also a big threat to the team as nothing in the team likes taking its attacks except Landorus-T who gives free boosts to it, allowing it to clean if Lando gets weakened. Alternatively, Bisharp can drop Pursuit for Swords Dance allowing it to sweep the team easier.

Heads up. 2 more days to post cores. Make sure you get yours in.

Time to Tear apart my Own Team ROFL

Anyway reserving Mega gardevoir + Azumarill + bisharp

+

Sets
Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 64 HP / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp / Taunt

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Superpower

Bisharp @ Lum Berry
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance

Explanation: The Ironic Thing about this team is that despite using 2 faires itself is rather weak to fairy spam which after Ferrothorn dies or the 2 calm minders are weakened simply smash through. Throw in a dark such as bisharp or another darktype and suddenly there ability to swtich in is overwelmed. The best part about this core is that it doesn't overly care about T-wave to-much which is a plus. Modest Gardevoir is the offensive fairy of choice whose hyper voice outright kills or servely dmgs anything that switch in while Wisp lures in ferrothorn and lando. Should Either Clef or Reu have calm minded tho this is where azu comes in who can not only stomach a few hits but can 2hko both and lure ferro with super-power. Rounding it out is bisharp who not only exploits the intimdators but T-wave users to set up and sweep

Was getting bored of only doing 1 project so doing dis.

Mega Houndoom+ Ferrothorn + Hippowdon

Houndoom-Mega @ Houndoominite
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot
- Will-O-Wisp/ Sludge Bomb

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
- Iron Head

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Force
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Whirlwind
- Slack Off
The team gets fucked by Mega Houndoom if it sets up NP. With Ferrothorn it can eat the shit clefable throws at it. Hippowdon can whirlwind the cm users and since reuniclus has psyshock it doesn't do as much. Also the team has no hazard removal so its gonna have fun with a full set of hazards. And hippo does a solid job cockblocking mega manectric. Ferro is a decent check to azu.

+2 252 SpA Mega Houndoom Sludge Bomb vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Azumarill: 498-588 (129.6 - 153.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Houndoom: 260-308 (89.3 - 105.8%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Mega Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 226-267 (59.1 - 69.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 36 SpD Clefable: 199-235 (50.5 - 59.6%) -- 84.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
