you have suggested replacing pheromosa, but that would make tapus worse, and make the (SO annoying)gon2 a threat, which is the primary reason why i am using phermmosa.
How is Pheromosa better at beating the Tapus than Porygon2? Maybe Tapu Bulu since it actually dies to a Poison Jab, but you have plenty of answers to Bulu on the team already. I've already explained why Porygon2 is better than Pheromosa in this regard, and this is the second time you've replied with simply "no Phero is better." Focus Sash, Jump Kick Phero is also not a reliable Porygon2 check. You can't switch into P2 at all since it 2HKOes without investment, and Download sets can OHKO if your Sash is broken (by switching into Stealth Rock for example). Life Orb High Jump Kick can actually threaten P2, even Fightinium Z is a good option. Either way though, I still think Pheromosa doesn't fit on this team. You shouldn't be too scared of opposing P2 though, they really don't like fighting Aegislash. You could change Aegi to a Leftovers set with SubToxic which Porygon2 really hate facing.

What were their sets? Which Pokemon did you replace with them? Were you even using this team or were you trying them on a completely different team? They seem to go with this team too well, Ferrothorn completely fixes your Swampert / rain problem.

That replay is on a broken, haxed latter. that battle should not have even started (that is the ~15th copy of a horrible battle with a annoying opponent)
Wait what...? How was that match haxed? You got burned, they nullified your boosts with Haze and Recover stalled until they could bop you with Ice Beam. There was literally no hax, they just outplayed you. If you were using Double-Edge though, based on the damage Return did, you would have KOed that Milotic and possibly swept their team. You could also have possibly outstalled them by using Porygon2 like I suggested. A set with Toxic and Shadow Ball / Foul Play would have beaten the Milotic / Marowak core.

Anyway, it doesn't look like you want to try any of my suggestions despite posting here for help. What things on your team are you actually willing to change? What things are you willing to try instead?

and with the battle, the ladder is haxed becasue i kept on seeing the same annoying rude staller over and over again (twice is too much, 20 times is way too much)

If Z Greninja is going to be your only play against Blaziken then why not use Z Hydro Cannon? It's far more reliable at KOing Blaziken because you don't have to hope for a 3 hit Water Shuriken.

(This is super rough maths because I'm not that smart but the point is Hydro Cannon is better)

You seem to be super scared of hax (as evidenced by you running Jump Kick instead of the far superior High Jump Kick), so minimizing that as much as possible should interest you. Hydro Cannon also has better accuracy than Hydro Pump. Yes you have to recharge if you ever use non-Z Hydro Cannon, but you only use it as a Z move or as you're about to get KOed / win the game. If you run into a Waterium Z Greninja in the higher ladder ranks you can be almost guaranteed it's using Hydro Cannon instead of Hydro Pump, and those guys seem to know what they're doing lol. Non-Life Orb Greninja is kinda weak, so it needs all the power it can get anyway.

How? You can get a Porygon from Aether House, I'm sure you have Ditto to breed with, if not try the Giveaway Forum. Then find someone to trade with so you can evolve it into Porygon2. "I can't get [blank]" is a really pathetic excuse, you're on a Pokemon forum with many helpful people.

How is running into the same person "hax"? Do you even know what hax means? Their team did not look very stally to me, and I'm not sure you're in any position to call anyone rude based on the way you spoke to them in the replay lol.

Using one defensive Pokemon on your team is not "stall" lol. Stall is a playstyle / team archetype, not a way of describing one Pokemon. Using a Toxic Porygon2 to "stall out" a Milotic means simply outliving it while it spams Recover trying to stay alive, not using a Stall team...

Anyway, you have again ignored the most important part of my last post, so I'll quote it again for you:

The team is focused on two cores wrapped together in the form of Blaziken, Ferrothorn, and Zapdos/MegaMence. We got Primarina thrown in there, but I'm not sure what to throw in as a 6th teammate, as a lot of ground is covered in weaknesses. I think somebody might be pretty good with this, so I'll drop it here.




To sum up the biggest problems of the team composition so far:

- Unsure of nature of Zapdos
- Unsure of nature of Blaziken
- Physical or special MegaMence

Other than that, we have it all set I think.

Charizard may give you problems and the guess work involved in determining whether it's X or Y could often put you in an awkward position. I'd recommend:

Nihilego @ Choice Scarf
Timid
252 sp.att/ 252 spe/ 4 def
Power Gem
Sludge Wave
HP ice
Thunderbolt/psyshock/psychic/stealth Rock

I'd go defensive zapdos, bold with a defensive ev spread and toxic/roost/heatwave and thunderbolt or volt switch.

Primarina is a solid 5th. Helps with glalie/eeveepass teams if you put perish song on it. I'd put the z+crystal on it.

For mence id go with a bulky dragon dance set with subroost/dd/double-edge or return.

Blaziken is so versatile but I think unless you're running mixed which requires a naïve nature. Adamant is most popular and perhaps effective.

Instead of M-scizor or M-Gyarados I would recommend trying out Physically Defensive Mega-Venusaur as a second mega because as your team currently stands it lacks bulk, and Venusaur helps your team out by helping to check a nice variety of mons that your team really doesn't like to take. Mainly Breloom & Sashed Chomper, but also Venu helps a bunch against good portion of physical attackers.

Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]
This set is fairly standard. Stabs are self explanatory, and synthesis more reliable on venusaur than leech seed because no leftovers. Hp fire is almost exclusively to hit ferrothorn, which your team struggles against if you don't bring in Zard-Y. Chlorophyll mainly so that if you accidentally bring Zard-Y and Venusaur, you can still get a little speed boost. That said don't ever run both of them on purpose.

As for a 6th slot I'd recommend:

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower
- Leech Seed
- Protect
Celesteela compliments Venusaur-M well by covering Venusaur's flying and psychic weaknesses, while also adding special bulk to your team. Celesteela also completes a Dragon Steel Fairy core with koko and Chomper. Flamethrower is to hit ferrothorn, along with things weak to fire (duh), and leeck seed + protect is for the crazy amount of recovery it gives.

OR...

Another approach could be to go a with a little more offensive pressure (than Venusaur + Steela at least). This would be using Ferrothorn + Mega-Gengar. This gives you some bulk + the Dragon Steel Fairy core with Ferrothorn, along with the ability to trap threats with Gengar.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Bullet Seed
- Leech Seed
- Protect
Standard Wall Nut set, but bullet seed over power whip for mirror matchups. Ferrothorn, like venusaur, adds some much needed bulk onto the team, but helps against Lele, along with granting the ability to run zard-y with a physical wall. Ferro also works well at countering lele and Metagross (which can be tough to beat depending on it's coverage) that lack hammer arm.

Gengar-Mega @ Gengarite
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

Anyways, regarding volt switch & U-turn, both have their merits, but your koko can not deal with ground types at all because you are not running HP ice so you should use U-turn over volt switch so you don't lose all of your momentum if a ground type is switched in.
As a final note: you could consider looking in to Mamoswine over Weavile (specifically a sash Mamoswine set), which could end up being better on your team because ground has a bit better coverage.

I learned in the Questions and Answers thread that Koko and Celesteela can form a good core with Salamence. I started there and added Tapu Fini because I felt like a needed an Ice resist. Next I added Lando-T because I wanted a scarfer who could kill opposing Koko and like

Thanks for the reply Moose And Goose! I think I'll try the Mega-Venusaur and Celesteela combo! I like how Venusaur and Char-Y are weak to almost opposite types, so that may net me some wins due to good match ups in team preview. I'll let you know how it works out.

That's a pretty solid core, although your team looks kind of weak to Trick Room setups.

Maybe an Amoongus might help, not only acting cool under TR but also redirecting attacks for its teammates (yeah it's nice even with FIni's aura).
And also think about adding a Fire-type, compleating the water/fire/grass core. Heatran cools fine here, making a fine partner for Mence, Landorus and Fini.

Hi there! I'm planning on getting into the Singles game once I get my cartridge, and learning the metagame has been quite challenging for me. I was slowly starting to get a grasp of ORAS as a newcomer when SuMo was announced, and I've been out of the game for a while. However, I'd like to get back into it. So to start off with, I wanted to build around Buzzwole! Specifically, a Buzzwole that can take a hit or two, pick up a kill, and sweep. Here's what I've got:

Buzzwole @ Assault Vest

The spread was adapted from what Tommy Colleen used in VGC. Not the same metagame, but some of the same threats. The Atk EVs are high enough to guarantee a Garchomp OHKO, max SpDef lets Buzzwole eat Moonblast from Tapu Lele, and safely switch into Koko (although it isn't great for dealing with Bulu or Fini). I'm not actually sure what the 148 Spe is for, but I know it puts Lv. 50 Buzzwole at 118 Speed (with 31 IVs). It won't stay in on fire types, but it's got bulk and enough attack to deal with Chomp, Lando, Aegislash, Tapu Koko, and threaten anything explicitly weak to Bug/Fighting. Earthquake helps deal with Aegislash and Muk, if I understand correctly. I'm not staying in on Marowak, so it's not gonna be much use there.

It's a lot faster, which means it can pose a threat to the things Buzzwole generally can't take a hit from. I'm not sure about the fourth slot -- I know HP moves are great, but they're a pain to RNG for and I don't know if I'll be able to get a Nihilego with the HP type I want (same for Koko below). Thunderbolt because of coverage and the extra damage it deals with Koko's terrain up (against, say, Celesteela), STAB moves to deal with pesky flying types and fairies.

This thing is my answer to Fini, Charizard, Mega-Salamence. It's got Volt Switch for momentum, although seeing as how it's pretty fast, I'll need something it can reliably switch into. One play is to switch into Nihilego on a move it resists, which is why I've considered a more bulky approach instead of Focus Sash (Sitrus Berry and better defensive EVs).

I know I'm missing answers to Mega-Metagross, Mega-Mawile, and Mega-Blaziken so far. And, well, a lot more, but I'm still pretty new to this. I was thinking maybe Heatran to switch into obvious fire moves, and to deal with Bulu?

Are are to OHKO Bulky Heatran with, while having 73.4% chance to 2HKO Aegilshas after Stealth Rock, a cool thing if it switches into it.
With those EVs in SpA it still reach a number of 200, that is pretty high considering the power of a STAB Draco Meteor.
I invested very hard on its speed, because it's a waste not using its decent 110 base speed imo.


As for its partners, i do like Koko with it a lot, and the same goes for Celesteela. But i would switch the item on that offensive Celesteela to an Assault Vest, and add a secondary Fairy that could deal with the likes of Hippowdon and such, like Primarina, to use when Koko isn't the right choice as the fairy-type, mitigating also your ice weakness.

So yeah, I was thinking on doing a BSS team, and right now I have two or three Pokémon I would like to use, but I'm unsure on what else should I add to my team to complement it. The main Pokémon are as follows:

I'm guessing Mimikyu is a staple on like 90% of all the teams, so I thought that maybe Mold Breaker Excadrill would be a decent check, as well as being able to check the Tapus (I think). However, I'm not sure if it should be sash or scarfed. Also I'm not really sure if it could have an opportunity to set up an SD (on a sash set obviously), but also Horn Drill doesn't convince me as much.

I needed desperately a Celesteela answer, since Excadrill and Porygon both struggle a bit against it, so I thought Volcarona was a nice choice, since it can also deal with Fini a little better than Excadrill with Giga Drain. However, I'm unsure on what other 3 Pokémon I should add to complement these 3. Any thoughts or suggestions?
 
I've gotten pretty serious about making a BSS team here in the last couple of weeks. Haven't played much Battle spot this Gen that isn't VGC.

I like a more balanced approach, and I found this team on the BSS samples thread that I liked the look of. I've made some tweaks, most notably switching in Salamence for Gengar.

My questions really center around Suicune and Mega Kanga. I just transferred it from ORAS where it was a staple in my Battle Maison Team and I'm working on hyper training it's IVs. What is a Good EV spread for a bold nature? I like leading with it and spamming Scald and Icy Wind to disrupt the opponents lead, but really don't know if the current EV spread could be better. It can take hits but damage output is suboptimal. Suicune is an all-time favorite of mine so I'd like to keep it in the team.

I sometimes run a team with Hippowdon and Mega Lucario. Hippowdon using Yawn can create a safe switch in opportunity for Lucario. It's also nice that Hippow's sand stream can give chip damage and neutralize opposing focus sashes. Haven't played too much with Charizard in BSS though :/

I wasn't sure what to put here, but I thought that I was a little weak when it came to dealing with Lando-T.

I'm pretty new to 3v3 formats. What makes you decide on what pokemon to pick? Do you usually have a set three and then switch the other 3 based on any threats you see? I'm not sure of how the team preview strategy works in the format.

May I recommend Jolly over Adamant on Gyarados? With Adament you are just barely out sped by base 130 mons such as Tapu Koko after a dragon dance.
