BST Tournament Round 1

Intro: This tournament will test your skills at teambuilding by limiting the BST of your team of Pokemon every round. Will your strategy be having a powerhouse or two, with several weaker Pokemon, or will it be building a team that is evenly balanced? The choice is yours. Each round, a new BST will be given, and you may not exceed that limit. For example:
BST Limit: 1000
Team: Scizor and Metagross is illegal.
Team: Smeargle and Hippowdon is legal.

Evasion Clause
No Exceeding BST limit
No Ubers
You MUST send in teams before the battle (either tawp64 or AlphaJolt is fine).

This will be a single elimination tournament. Inactive players will be subbed out. Uncompleted matches where both competitors were active will be decided by coin flip. Each round, the BST limit will drop. These are the limits for each round.

Round 1: 3400
Round 2: 3200
Round 3: 3000
Round 4: 2900
Round 5: 2800
Round 6: 2700
Final: 2600

Teams are due by Thursday, September 16 at 7:00 PM (GMT-6). I'm sorry for not posting this earlier. Players who have not sent in a team by then will be subbed out.

You forgot to input "Round 1" on the title of this tournament. You should also specify that since this is Round 1, the total BST limit is 3600 so people don't get confused by thinking it's a typical "OU" tournament (since your title has "OU" on it for no reason).

Not to mention that the BST limits for the later rounds aren't even drastic of a change when changing the interval by about 100~150 total. The reason is that most standard OU teams won't even be close to a base stat of 3600. The total BST of the six most popular used OU Pokemon (Heatran, Scizor, Gengar, Gyarados, Rotom-A,and Tyranitar) is 3260. You are able to use these very popular and powerful Pokemon for up to three rounds in a team. Round 1 doesn't have a limit (I think it should because the purpose of the tournament is to have some sort of limit regardless of the round). While these close interval ranges per round isn't changing the structure of this tournament in comparison to a regular OU tournament, but only in the final rounds (where we actually see some change) and the final round only consists of two players. Thus, I believe that the intervals should be widened in order to "spice" this tournament up more and not have another boring OU tournament since there are already two OU tournaments going on.

Seriously, these new base totals are way to easy. I was looking forward to this tournament because it would but a challenge in team building, now its basically a standard OU tournament.
