[box]ROUND EIGHT

Reginald begins by tearing his soul out and stuffing it into a little doll. Morbid, isn't it? Diego isn't intimidated at all by this show, however, and dashes forward, bouncing ever so slightly on the web before ripping the doll to shreds. While Diego cools down again, Reginald remembers his trainer's advice and repeats the same process, tearing some more of its own life out and stuffing it into another little doll that he pulls out of his shrimp backside.

Diego then shakes the entire web with a massive earthquake, heavily damaging the doll. Reginald appears out of nowhere, grins nastily, and prepares to counter the blow, but what's that? It seems that Reginald had nothing to counter since the attack hit the doll!

The Gym Leader has gotten himself into a nice position, but ordering first, anything can happen...[/box]

"Heh. Slight oversight at the end. But I think it will not be overly devestating in the long run."

Alright, Armaldo. No contact moves. Or anything that would require movement. At all. Stay away from any holes, and try to stand still. Hold firm, the web is sticky enough and you're capable enough on it that he shouldn't be able to push you near a hole. Just don't do anything stupid and be wary of any and all attempts to push you off. Unless that tactic comes back for a third time this match, we should be solid.

Rock Blast~Earthquake~Rock Blast
IF Counter, use Rock Polish upon the first use and Swords Dance upon all subsequent uses and push actions back
IF Me First, use X-Scissor and push actions back
IF the opponent has a substitute up, use Rock Blast and push actions back

"It's the bottom of the ninth. Let's have a little recap of what has occurred, shall we?"

Earthquakes are nasty things, wouldn't you agree? and the pokemon attack is a truly vicious one; High BAP and quite destructive. Now, As the arena description describes, the webs are fastened to concrete, and the web is sturdy.

However, we've seen some previous damage: four holes to be exact. Now, while this surely cannot cause the demise of the beautiful webbing, Earthquakes can; But the web is sturdy enough for such attacks! Yes, it is quite the armor. Sadly, the armor has a few chinks... four, syclant sized chinks.

Now, If you have payed attention to the battle, Earthquake has been used three times prior to where we stand at the moment. Twice by a Syclant, and Once by an Armaldo. Two Powerful bugs, one with an item to boost its Earth Shaking abilities, and the other with bulk and weight. In perfect condition, the Web should be just fine, maybe shaking violently to cause damage to the enemy. The Concrete keeps it firm though, and would not break.

But we go back to the holes. Now, i do not belief a single earthquake from a pokemon could cause the whole web to be destroyed, unless the web was ridden with huge, gaping holes. But, after 3 Earthquakes, the holes my Syclant made would definitely grow larger, the web being weaker at those areas, and thus ripping during the seismic activity. By now, after this has happened multiple times, the holes should be more comparable to rifts in the web, and the structure as a whole is much weaker. A fourth Earthquake, one caused by the Bulky brute that is an Armaldo, should be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Also, My dear opponent's instructions have Armaldo avoid the holes, standing solid and away from them. But, comparing the size of the holes/large gaps in tandem to the arena, it would seem like the best place for the pokemon to stay furthest away would be the center of the arena, the holes surrounding his outer reaches. Now, if Armaldo were use a powerful attack such as earthquake, when there are at least 2 gaps in the now frail webbing surrounding him, what do you think would happen? My guess is his attack would cause the holes to rip apart enough to connect, and a large portion of the web would give away; the part that Armaldo has decided to stay put on. Now, as we have not discussed where the holes exactly are, and how close/far the pokemon are from them, this is debatable. But you must realize, after multiple wear and tear attacks on the arena, the holes have indeed been ripped and become larger, and the web is a size where no matter armaldo would be standing, he could be directly affected by the holes ripping large enough to have web detach/fall.

Now, It is possible That Reginald could be affected by the web falling. In that case, I will command accordingly.

First Action

Sensing Armaldo's future attacks will cause the parts of the web to break off, and cause either himself or his enemy to fall, Reginald will use Aquajet to surge into the air, using the force of the aqua jet to break through the top web barrier. Reginald will then land safely on the upper web, while armaldo rock blasts his substitute.

Second Action

Reginald will chill, to restore energy (reginald is on the second level now)

Third Action

Reginald will chill, to restore energy

Note: even if the web will not break, even though it's been battered quite so, reginald should still be able to aqua jet to safety on the top web. powering through the web should be no big task. if the aqua jet for some reason could not allow reginald to access the second web, please pm me so, and i will reorder

[box]ROUND NINE

The round begins with Reginald leaping high into the air, expelling water from its backside in order to propel itself up and through one of the holes in the top web! Unfortunately, we don't really see this until Diego completely destroys the little substitute doll with a barrage of rocks and then manages to redirect everything to hit the Krilowatt with unerring aim.

As the Krilowatt simply relaxes eight feet up, Diego shoots another volley of small stones, striking several times and dealing significant damage. Reginald doesn't react, and chills again, perhaps waiting for something to happen. Diego keeps away from the holes on the main web, and, in an effort to reduce oscillation encountered, seems to have moved to the side of the web instead of the center! Either way, its Earthquake attack fails to hit Reginald, although the holes scattered around the web seem to have expanded a bit more; perhaps they'll fall with a little more battering?[/box]

ARENA: Web Weakened

"This has been pretty disastrous. We gave it our best though Reginald. Sadly, an overload of logic has proven victorious in a game of fantasy. let's bow out!"

Web is weakened, finally? Well then maybe this will work. I won't be surprised if it doesnt though. Oh well. Using a concentrated Ice Shard; Taking time to increase the sharpness of the shards, then spitting them out, causing the razor sharp ice shards to cut through the weak web, causing Armaldo to fall. Concentarted Ice Shard would make the attack lose +1 priority, and be 0; However, the Shards would be meticulously created, so that they are incredibly sharp, which should go right through the weak web.

Concentrated Ice Shard@Lower Web~Concentrated Ice Shard@Lower Web~Chill
if the first Ice Shard manages to break the web and cause Armaldo to fall, chill a2/a3
if first Ice Shard fails to break web, and you were damaged a1, use a regular Ice Shard a2 (not concentrated, regular +1 prior Ice Shard)

Let's end this, dear friend.

"Logic, fantasy. Is there much of a difference? All they amount to are different ways of thinking here, one vastly riskier but more rewarding than the other. A purely logical strategy risks obliteration by fantasy, a purely creative strategy has its limits in logic, and can be deterred by pressing an advantage with standard play. If this was a pure match of creativity, you would have won. But, the rules of the game stand alongside the mental challenge. You must perform well in and understand the limits of both styles to come out with the Web Badge."

Strategy: Overcome RP with RP. The arena floor is a spider web, and thus highly sticky, if wearing out in points. The first order of buisiness will be to Rapid Spin as the web falls or begins to wear, tangling Armaldo up in the web to help delay or prevent the fall. When hanging on in the fallen web, blast out the last attacks of the match.

Rapid Spin (Into Web)~Rock Blast~Rock Blast

[box]ROUND TEN

Reginald briefly takes a moment to adjust its aim from high above, then sends a flurry of sharp shards flying down onto the lower web through the upper one, causing the web to begin to fall; Diego is ready for this, though, and spins itself into the web, creating a mini cocoon that keeps it hanging by a few tough strands of webbing!

It seems excruciatingly difficult for Reginald to aim for those small strands while keeping balance, but he does so anyways and causes the chrysalis to fall uncontrollably towards the ground. In a last-ditch effort, Diego launches several chunks of rock towards Reginald, and, to most people's surprise, they connect unerringly, knocking the Krilowatt out. Diego crashes into the ground for the second time this match, but he's still conscious. This means that our Gym Leader has pulled out a win![/box]
