Bulb

Oh and by the way. You sure this even works with water absorb? On the research thread it's stated that the rechargable battery (Which in itself is an electric-for-attack version) doesn't raise attack for volt absorb users. Then again even if this is a very similar item, who knows?
It does not.

Bulb IS real and i have tested some things about it.
1. One time use item.
2. Does not give you an immunity to water moves u still take damage.
3. Does not work with immunities/abilities that nullify/absorb water attacks you must be hit and receive damage for bulb to activate the sp.atk increase.

I can see this working on Kingdra seeing as it's 4x resistant to water. You have to predict a water-type move though, but with Kingdra's typing it should be able to take any other hit in-case of a misprediction.

well water moves in general are pretty common considering when combined with a normal move have neutral coverage except for shedinja, but any pokemon that can take a water hit and appreciate having its special attack raised.

Nattorei says hi.

Bulb on the Simple Beaver works great, it resists water, gets +2 over +1, and works good if it is baton passed other boosts...

Think of a Baton Pass water-type lure like Blaziken.

Does Bulb activate if it hits a Substitute, if so, it would work great when Baton Passing Substitutes!

Wow,thats pretty useless then, unless you use it with something thats 4x ineffective with water

This item really doesn't make much sense - it's in the Battle Subway meaning it's intended for Competitive Play, and yet every instance of it being widely useful is deliberately removed. They can't honestly be scared of it being "broken" with all the crazy other stuff running around.

The real problem is that it is consumed. If it wasn't, it would be a decent choice for shaymin, starmie, and other specially offensive water resists.

why would anyone want to use a water attack on a starmie or anyone with water resistance?

Predict a water attack, switch in water resist with a bulb attached. Take minimal damage AND receive a sp atk boost.

Seriously, if someone was WILLINGLY attacking your (non water resist) bulb user with a water attack, it most likely would be with the intention to OHKO (or do lots of damage). You would be gimping yourself.

I was thinking Unburden Sceptile.
In UU, use a Rhyperior(Swords Dance or Rock Polish) Then switch in Sceptile to get +1 SpA and +2 Spe.
