Hello and welcome to the CAP player of the week! In this project, SHSP and I will interview some of our metagame’s best innovators, builders, and players! This week's interviewee is Heaven Jay Top player of cap and laddering master.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I'm from Boston, Massachusetts
What are you most known for on Smogon?
I am most known for being a ladder tryhard in cap.
What is your favorite Pokemon, and why?
My favorite Pokemon is salamence and metagross.
What is your favorite CAP?
My favorite cap is volkraken because of the raw power.
What is your most used Pokemon?
My most used pokemon is ferrothorn.
What brought you to Smogon and competitive Pokemon in general?
I was brought into smogon by one of my friend.
How were you introduced to the CAP project?
I was introduced when they had a cap tour in the tournaments room and I wanted to try it out.
what is the best part of the creation of a CAPmon in your opinion?
The typing stage
What is your favorite CAP OM? (like cap lc, monotype, doubles)
Cap Lc
What made you choose your name?
I was in a server and they had a monotype league and had to have Heaven as my first part of my name. Jay is my name. I just kept this name.
What is your favorite Generation of Pokemon and why?
My favorite is Gen 6 because this is when I was getting better at competitive Pokemon.
Thoughts on pajantom?
It is a really nice trapper and lure. It just needs to be not pursuit trapped.
Thoughts on the CAP Playtest so far? some predictions?
I think it is going well.
What is your favorite CAP Old Gen?
Didn't play any old gen cap so I have no say in this.
Who are some of your favorite people in the Smogon Community?
Airwind because he is pretty chill and love battling~~haxxing~~ him.
snake_rattler because I think he is really respected cap mod/player and I think he is very friendly user.
reachzero because always ruins my ladder elo and love battling him.
