Issuing an open challenge!

1v1 singles
3 Day DQ
No Recovers, No Chills (Why, you ask? Why don't you look at the arena to find out!)

The arena is a desert.

Basically, everyone has a Thirst Counter. If the Thirst Counter for a pokemon goes to 10, then that pokemon di-i mean faints. There are 5 cacti in the general vicinity. At anytime you can break a cactus using a move (counts as an action) and drink the water from it, which is the same as using a Chill.

There is a 5% chance of rain at the beginning of a round. If it rains, rain is in effect for that round and the Thirst Counter for all pokemon out drops back to zero.

Surf cannot be used since there isn't any water. Dig uses 5 more energy than usual, since the sand keeps coming down when you dig through it. Pokemon that thrive in the sand have their Thirst Counter drop every even round. They also don't spend as much energy using Dig.

make sure to tell me your ability!

Alright, sending out Murdoc because she needs to battle more!

Breezi [Murdoc] (Female)
Nature: Modest
Type: Poison/Flying
<Poison>: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens uninhibited. Dasutodasu, Muk, and Weezing inflict Toxic Poisoning with Solid/Liquid/Gaseous Poison attacks (respectively), Wrap, Haze, and Glare have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).
<Flying>: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon, Heat Wave, Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Silver Wind, Twister, Whirlwind have have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Abilities:
Persistent: (Innate) This Pokemon has a great affinity for odd field effects. When it uses one of these effects it increases their duration. Moves affected are Gravity, Heal Block, Lucky Chant, Magic Room, Safeguard, Trick Room, Tailwind, and Wonder Room by an additional one (1) round or three (3) actions depending on the move.
Vital Spirit: (Innate) This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker it will wake up the next action.
Unburden(DW): (Innate) This Pokemon is incredibly possessive. If it uses or loses an item in battle its rage swells and its speed doubles (x2) until it receives another item.

Let's try out Clamperl!
Start with Shell Break. If Breezi uses Taunt, though, replace it with Scald. Then use Ice Beam twice.

Clamperl* [Pearl] (F)

Nature:
Modest

Type:

Water: Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious. Splash and Ice Moves have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Okay, we cannot have that Shell Break to work, so Taunt the heck out of Pearl. Now use Encore on that guy to make him continue scalding you. After that you should go on the offense and use Razor Wind.

Heat. That is what everyone is feeling out here in the high desert, even Pearl who has found a small puddle, too small to surf in, is as dry as the cracked ground. Tacking advantage of the updrafts, however, is Murdoc who begins her round by Taunting the poor Pearl who takes advantage of the heat by Scalding her cruel opponent. Enjoying the splash of water despite the added heat, Murdoc Encores the attack, forcing Pearl to use it continually. As the Scalds fly in left and right, Murdoc uses Razor Wind to create a dry heat around Pearl. Unfortunately, two cacti are destroyed in the process. Suddenly, Murdoc isn't feeling nearly as well, those Scalds are much more powerful than they seemed to be after that first action! Both Pokemon become more and more thirsty, who knows how long they can last in this harsh environment.

If at all possible, could you list the thirst counters?

Anyway, those Scalds really hurt, so we're gonna have to stay away from them at all costs. Use Double Team and make 2 clones, then Razor Wind her. After that, use Sand Attack to blind her some more.

Clamperl, we're stuck doing this: Ice Beam ~ Scald ~ Ice Beam. Try to hit the real Breezi. Watch carefully the first round.

BEGIN ROUND TWO

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another exciting episode of Pokemon Battles! Since this battle is now being televised LIVE, I will be your new host! Let's get this show on the road!

Murdoc the Breezi is the first off the starting gate, and it begins to pace back and forth at a blinding speed! In fact, when it's done, Murdoc becomes two! What a Double Team! Pearl stares at the two targets in confusion, and is pressured to pick the right one. Let's see what happens! Pearl lets loose a chilling Ice Beam straight towards...the real Murdoc! The beam strikes hard, hitting for great damage!

Breezi and its clone whirl around one another, preparing sharp winds to send at their opponent: Razor Wind! However, right before the strike, Pearl once again takes a gamble and fires off a scorching pillar of Scald at one of the targets. It hits Murdoc for good damage. Pearl is then wide open for the sharp wind attack! This deals good damage.

Murdoc flies down to the sandy ground and spins rapidly. The air current picks up some sand and flings it right into Pearl's shell with a Sand Attack! Pearl's Accuracy is lowered by one stage! With a clod of sand in her eyes, Pearl starts to create a Beam of pure Ice to fire at Murdoc once again. The beam hits its target, striking Murdoc for heavy damage! Murdoc flitters to the ground. Murdoc has fainted!

All the clones die after the user is hit, so Scald should have hit and I should have won?

If not, I guess just use Scald three times. The water should quench your thirst.
