Substitute can be used to aid in prediction and avoid Scald burns from weaker pokemon such as Alomomola, as well as Amoonguss's Spores and random Thunder Waves. Because Cobalion is a special attacker with great physical bulk, Infiltrator users such as Golbat and Spiritomb are not that effective against Cobalion. This Cobalion set easily sets up on physical walls such as Gligar, Alomomola, Golbat, and Doublade. It is incredibly versatile against stall teams and does well against offensive teams, as it outspeeds many Pokemon and has a great typing to take hits. Offensively, Ghost + Fighting coverage is great. Utilize Cobalion's great physical bulk to set up on Pokemon; it can take an Earthquake from base 100 Attack Pokemon. Watch out for Choice Scarf-using Fire- and Fighting-types such as Hitmonlee, Delphox, and Moltres.

Wallbreakers such as Meloetta and Exploud can pave the way for a late-game sweep with Cobalion, as the opponent will not be afraid to bring in their special wall if Cobalion is one of the only special attackers on your team. Meloetta handles Slowking especially well because it has great Special Defense and can retaliate with a super effective Shadow Ball. Assault Vest Slowking can take on the Fire-types and Fighting-types that Cobalion may have trouble with, such as Hitmonlee. Stealth Rock support helps Cobalion take on Moltres and Delphox better. This set has problems with Slowking, as it has great Special Defense, and can 2hko Cobalion even with Calm Mind boosts. Reuniclus and Cresselia are great teammates for Cobalion, as they are able to set up on Slowking, while Cobalion resists the Bug- and Dark-type attacks that they are weak to. - Also mention that Cobalion is about the only Sub user that doesn't really care about Infiltrator Pokemon (Golbat and Spiritomb) due to being a special attacking Steel-type
- Moltres is quite literally the only target of HP Rock as Delphox is still nailed by HP Ghost due to being part-Psychic. Sort of leaning toward relegating HP Rock to Moves since the only realistic target is Moltres, but I'll leave that for the rest of QC to decide.
- Change AV Slowbro to AV Slowking
- Mention wallbreakers to soften up teams. Clawitzer, Moltres, and Exploud can all do this.

I agree about HP Rock going to moves. HP Ghost is cool for nailing Doublade while also hitting Delphox, especially if you're pairing this with other fighting types like gallade/melo-p/lee. The other Fire-type in RU is Emboar which is hit harder by Focus Blast.

Also I'm not sure about that "AV Slowking loses 1v1", AV Slowking is actually a counter, if anything. HP Ghost does pitiful damage even at +1 or +2, while Fire Blast in turn can easily kill:

Be sure to give Spiritomb a mention in team options for this set. Since Calm Mind Cobalion struggles so much with AV Slowking, pretty much anything that can get rid of it is an excellent teammate, and bar Scald burns Spiritomb is pretty much the perfect Pokemon to do this, it can get in on pretty much any attack Slowking commonly uses because of its typing and bulk (especially Psyshock), and puts it in a checkmate position with Pursuit, clearing the way for Cobalion to sweep.

Also, as this set is a great Doublade lure, i'd be sure to mention that pretty much anything that struggles with Doublade works exceptionally well with Calm Mind Cobalion. SD Virizion, Hitmonlee, Braviary, Durant, and Cinccino come to mind here.
