hello nice to meet you can I shake your hand(s)

Overview
########
Cofagrigus is a slow and bulky mixed wall that also packs a decent punch on the special side. By virtue of its Ghost typing, it can spinblock and has ample opportunities to switch in. Cofagrigus is also one of the most reliable users of Haze and Trick Room, the latter which it can take advantage of with its low Speed. Access to Will-O-Wisp and Nasty Plot lets it wall physical attackers much better and boost its offensive presence. Furthermore, its unique Mummy ability allows it to act as a crutch check to some Pokemon that rely on their abilities. Unfortunately, Cofagrigus's low Speed outside of Trick Room, susceptibility to status, and lack of reliable recovery means that it will be worn down rather quickly, while the buffs to Knock Off and Dark- and Ghost-type moves in general are also bad news for it.

Offensive Trick Room
########
name: Offensive Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Nasty Plot
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Hidden Power Fighting
ability: Mummy
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
nature: Quiet
ivs: 0 Spe

Moves
========
Trick Room can be set up rather easily thanks to Cofagrigus's above-average bulk, and allows it to "outspeed" most Pokemon. Nasty Plot raises its Special Attack to threatening levels. Shadow Ball is its STAB attack with decent coverage, and hits quite hard after a single Nasty Plot. Hidden Power Fighting provides perfect neutral coverage, and stops Cofagrigus from being walled by Normal-types.

Set Details
========
Maximum EV investment in HP and Special Attack allows Cofagrigus to take hits and dish out damage, making this set a tank. A Quiet nature further increases its Special Attack while lowering its Speed, making it even "faster" under Trick Room. Mummy effectively neuters some physical attackers by removing their ability. Leftovers provides some passive recovery.

Usage Tips
========
Trick Room and Nasty Plot are essential to allow Cofagrigus to even attempt a sweep, so beware of Taunt users and opposing Trick Room users; it should be used as a late-game sweeper when its checks and counters have been sufficiently weakened or removed. Cofagrigus can also come in at any point in the match and force out physical attackers with Mummy, allowing for more sweeping opportunities.

Team Options
========
Knock Off absorbers such as Cobalion are appreciated, as the loss of Leftovers is very detrimental. Although this Cofagrigus functions well against balanced and hyper-offensive teams, its Special Attack is still mediocre as best, so wallbreakers such as Abomasnow, Druddigon, Reuniclus, and Rhyperior can take down some bulky walls. Alternatively, other Trick Room users can also aid in sweeping by either setting it up for Cofagrigus, or vice-versa.

Defensive
########
name: Defensive
move 1: Will-O-Wisp
move 2: Shadow Ball
move 3: Pain Split / Protect
move 4: Haze / Knock Off
ability: Mummy
item: Leftovers
evs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
nature: Bold / Relaxed

Moves
========
Will-O-Wisp cuts the opponent's Attack and provides residual damage, allowing Cofagrigus to force out or stall out most physical attackers. Shadow Ball provides a decent STAB attack and prevents Taunt from completely shutting this set down. Pain Split provides semi-reliable recovery and dents Pokemon with high base HP. Haze prevents setup sweepers from boosting properly, Knock Off provides utility by depriving Pokemon of their items, and Protect racks up burn damage and Leftovers recovery while scouting for moves; all are decent choices for the final slot, depending on what role you wish Cofagrigus to be more proficient at.

Set Details
========
248 HP EVs provides a Stealth Rock number, allowing Cofagrigus to take less entry hazard and status damage. 252 Defense EVs further bolsters its already solid physical bulk, and the remaining EVs are placed in Special Defense for a tiny boost. A Bold nature boosts Defense in exchange for a drop in Attack, but a Relaxed nature may be used if Knock Off is elected in the last slot, though its damage increase is negligible. Leftovers provides passive recovery, but it might make Pain Split less effective. Alternatively, a specially defensive spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD can be used to tackle sweepers on the special side.

Usage Tips
========
This set enables Cofagrigus to hard switch into almost any physical attacker without a super effective move, remove their ability, and destroy any offensive momentum. Opportunities to switch in are ample, thanks to its immunities to Normal and Fighting, two rather common offensive types. Will-O-Wisp, or Knock Off if it is run, is generally the best move to use if predicting a switch. Haze should be used on opponents that attempt to use Cofagrigus as setup fodder.

Team Options
========
Entry hazard setters such as Roselia work marvelously with Cofagrigus due to its ability to force many switches. Cleric and Wish support is also greatly appreciated to allow it to continue doing its job. Knock Off absorbers such as Cobalion are also nice, as the loss of Leftovers hurts this set greatly. A special wall such as Slowking is also somewhat necessary, as Cofagrigus's Special Defense is mediocre at best when uninvested.

Other Options
########
Toxic and Toxic Spikes are alternative moves that allow Cofagrigus to stall out opponents even better, but the Attack drop with a burn is crucial to walling most physical attackers and Toxic Spikes is illegal with Pain Split. Disable is a cool option if you can predict the opponent correctly. Other attacking moves include Dark Pulse, Infestation, and Energy Ball. Destiny Bond on the Trick Room set can take down a wall with it, while Memento can pave the way for another sweeper to begin boosting.

Checks & Counters
########
**Taunt**: Taunt users like Skuntank can usually shut Cofagrigus down; Drapion is possibly the greatest threat to the offensive Trick Room set, having access to Knock Off, Toxic Spikes, and Swords Dance while forcing Cofagrigus out.

**Special Attackers and Walls**: Moltres gets a free switch into Will-O-Wisp, and can Roost stall or hit Cofagrigus on its weak special side. Most other special attackers aren't as crippled by burn, so they can easily force Cofagrigus out. Dedicated special walls can soak up most of Cofagrigus's hits.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off hits for super effective damage and removes Leftovers, crippling Cofagrigus. Despite activating Mummy, it is still one of the best ways of dealing with Cofagrigus.

**Status**: Status such as poison and burn will wear Cofagrigus down very swiftly, as it has no way of removing the and Pain Split can only do so much to alleviate recovery issues.

**Meloetta**: Meloetta is immune to Shadow Ball, doesn't care much for being burned, and can use most variants lacking Knock Off as setup fodder.

Overview
########
- solid mixed bulk and decent special attack
- can spinblock
- one of the most reliable haze users
- good in trick room teams
- mummy can let it be a crutch check to mons that rely on their abilities
- gets WoW and nasty plot
- no reliable recovery outside of pain split
- low hp stat, slow outside TR
- more dark and ghost types around nowadays; knock off buff is terrible news for cofagrigus

Offensive Trick Room
########
name: Offensive Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Nasty Plot
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Hidden Power Fighting
ability: Mummy
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
nature: Quiet
ivs: 0 Spe

Moves
========
- trick room can be set up relatively easily due to its solid bulk
- nasty plot up to increase special attack and sweeping power
- shadow ball gets STAB and has fantastic coverage on its own thanks to steel nerf
- will-o-wisp lets it neuter physical attackers, and in TR it can usually get it off before they attack
- alternatively, use HP fighting for perfect neutral coverage

Set Details
========
- max HP investment increases its overall bulk and lets it tank hits better when TR isn't up
- max SpA investment lets shadow ball and HP fighting hit really hard after nasty plot
- quiet nature and 0 speed ivs makes sure it underspeeds most enemies under TR while increasing special attack
- lefties provides much needed passive recovery, since pain split only wastes limited TR turns

Usage Tips
========
- don't let it taunted before it can set up trick room
- cofagrigus can force a lot of physical attackers out with the combination of WoW and mummy, so you can set up TR, nasty plot, or burn the switch-in
- knock off will severely limit its capabilities, so avoid that at all costs
- if needed, switch in a physically-based wall or sweeper to remove its ability

Team Options
========
- aromatisse can provide wish + cleric support, take knock offs no problem, and can even reset TR
- wish passers help a lot since it will get worn down very easily, even with lefties
- knock off absorbers such as aromatisse and cobalion are appreciated; even though it can take knock offs, losing lefties is bad
- teammates such as abomasnow, rhyperior, druddigon, and reuniclus that can remove special walls, since its special attack is only mediocre at best
- slower sweepers that can take advantage of trick room if cofagrigus goes down
- other trick room setters including slowking and bronzong

Defensive
########
name: Defensive
move 1: Will-O-Wisp
move 2: Shadow Ball
move 3: Pain Split
move 4: Haze / Knock Off / Protect
ability: Mummy
item: Leftovers
evs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
nature: Impish / Bold

Moves
========
- WoW cuts attack and provides residual damage, allowing it to wall most physical attackers
- shadow ball is STAB and gets really good neutral coverage
- knock off provides more utility and removes items
- pain split is cofagrigus's only real form of recovery other than lefties
- protect lets it scout out moves and rack up burn damage
- haze prevents pokemon from setting up on you

Set Details
========
- 248 HP EVs hits a magical number that means it takes less entry hazard and status damage
- max Defense investment further increases physical bulk
- impish if running knock off, bold if running shadow ball
- lefties provides cofagrigus with passive recovery
- alternatively, base 105 SpD is pretty decent, so a special spread could be used

Usage Tips
========
- it can switch directly into most physical attackers provided they don't have knock off, remove their ability, and wall them even further
- works well against most rapid spin users
- knock off and WoW are generally the best moves to spam
- remember that cofagrigus is slow, and will probably have to take a hit before using pain split
- use haze on special setup sweepers or guts that try and use it as setup fodder

Team Options
========
- again, cleric support and wish passers are nice since cofagrigus can't heal and will get worn down fast; best example is aromatisse, yet again
- knock off absorbers like the aforementioned aromatisse and cobalion, for the same reason as the TR set; losing lefties sucks
- a special wall to come in on strong special hits
- hazard setters like roselia, since it walls a lot of mons with its insane physical bulk

Other Options
########
- toxic spikes and toxic, but note that toxic spikes is illegal with pain split
- disable
- memento
- dark pulse, infestation, energy ball
- destiny bond

Checks & Counters
########
- taunt users can shut it down most of the time; drapion has knock off, tspikes, and can even set up swords dance after it forces cofagrigus out
- registeel usually wins against cofagrigus without HP fighting 1v1
- moltres can switch in on WoW proceed to wreck
- knock off users cripple it
- it can struggle to get around some dedicated special walls
- status wears it down very easily
- special attackers in general can prey on its mediocre special bulk

Hope that's a joke since Gothorita is in the tier c_l. Anyhow, on to important stuff:

[Overview]

- Mention Haze as Cofagrigus is one of the most reliable users of it

[Offensive Trick Room]

- Mentions specifics in Team Options
- Aromatisse is fantastic. Provides Wish and cleric support and can easily eat up Dark-type moves. Can also run Trick Room
- Cobalion can work as a Knock Off absorber if OTR is being used as a standalone sweeper
- Abomasnow, Rhyperior, Druddigon, and Reuniclus can all break down special walls and abuse TR. Reuniclus can even set it up
- Slowking and Bronzong can reliably set Trick Room

[Defensive]

- Feel like Haze should be the first slash instead of Protect. Haze keeps shit like Meloetta, Cresselia, and Reuniclus from setting up on you at will
- Maybe mention a SpDef spread in Set Details. Inferior as Ghost's resistances favor physical moves, but it's not like base 105 Special Defense is terrible by any means
- Why Relaxed? It's not intended for use in Trick Room, so I'd think Impish / Bold would be better.
- Aromatisse is beautiful for this set. Covers Wish and cleric support, and it's a special wall. Also, it absorbs Knock Off decently well!
- Cobalion can set Rocks and absorb Knock Off
- Spikes users as Cofagrigus is going to force switches due to its physical bulk. Roselia is really cool here
- Good spinblocker for stall teams.

[Other Options]

- When you mention Toxic Spikes, note that it is illegal with Pain Split (a BW2 Tutor move)
- Disable can screw some things up pretty badly

[Checks and Counters]

- Drapion is a super scary Taunt user. Has STAB Knock Off, can use Toxic Spikes, and can even setup with SD after the Taunt
- Registeel generally beats a Cofagrigus w/o HP Fighting.
- Moltres is probably the most dangerous special attacker as it can get a free switch-in off of Will-O-Wisp

Add all this and I'll be back for a look (and likely a stamp too)

If you would post any reasoning at all for Mean Look CM Cofag that help. When you can just switch out before anything happens, that doesn't really seem convincing.

Shadow Ball should be the only slash on the second slash. Knock Off is not a good move to rely on for damage when Cofagrigus has a really bad 50 base attack and no STAB on Knock Off. To give you an idea its less than half as powerful as Shadow Ball even with the item considered. While I know Knock Off is a cool and spammable move, you need the STAB move (especially when said STAB move is a Ghost move). I'd put Knock Off between Haze and Protect.

Otherwise EonX covered everything.

Sorry c_l. Telling me proves nothing. Show me it in action, and maybe then I'll come around on it. Until then, no. Anyway, wt got everything I missed, so

Add special walls/tanks to C&C, they can effectively deal with its most threatening set, OTR. Phazers might deserve a mention to for their ability to remove Cofagrigus's boosts.

Other than that this looks really good :)

If you see a change to the meaning, not just a grammar change, be sure to refer to my comments for the explanation.

By the way, what is going on in the second set's moves section? You list protect as a last slot option even though it's in the third slot. A relic of a previous set configuration, perhaps?

Comments:

Hp fight also lets you smash Sharpedo and do about 60% to Shiftry, so i added in a dark-type mention.

Technically, you need to explain what the zero speed IV does, even though it's pretty obvious, so i offer here a good way. Ultimately, do what you want about it. This also goes for the second set's hp evs.

Combined a sentence, clarified what WoW does.

Both sets have kinda lacking team options, especially the second one's. Neither have ghost-type attack absorbers and only one dark-type absorber, who is only referred to as a knock off absorber. What gives? Aroma seems great for the second set, wish aromatherapy dark attacks. Drapion absorbs tspikes plus dark and ghost attacks.

Your OO is kinda meh. Tspikes are a team support thing too. Infestation is more of a trapping + residual damage move than an attack. Dark pulse should be noted as only for meloetta and crap otherwise. Energy ball should be noted, i guess, as... idk, a way to spinblock kabu easily and smash rhyp or oma. But it seems really bad. Dark pulse is aggressively meh, but at least melo is a real problem to you.

evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
nature: Quiet
ivs: 0 Spe

Moves
========
Hidden Power Fighting provides perfect neutral coverage, and stops Cofagrigus from being walled by Normal-types, and also deals with some Dark-types.

Set Details
========
Maximum EV investment in HP and Special Attack allows Cofagrigus to take hits and dish out damage, making this set a tank. A Quiet nature further increases its Special Attack while lowering its Speed, making it even "faster" under Trick Room; a 0 Speed IV similarly increases Trick Room "Speed". Mummy effectively neuters some physical attackers by removing their ability., and Leftovers provides some passive recovery.

Usage Tips
========

========

Moves
========
Will-O-Wisp cuts the opponent's Attack in half and provides residual damage, allowing Cofagrigus to force out or stall out most physical attackers.

Set Details
========
248 HP EVs provides a Stealth Rock number, allowing Cofagrigus to take less entry hazard and status damage, and increases overall bulk. 252 Defense EVs further bolsters its already solid physical bulk, and the remaining EVs are placed in Special Defense for a tiny boost. A Bold nature boosts Defense in exchange for a drop in Attack, but a Relaxed nature may be used if Knock Off is electused in the last slot, though its damage increase is negligible. Leftovers provides passive recovery, but it might make Pain Split less effective. Alternatively, a specially defensive spread of 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD can be used to tackle sweepers on the special side.

Usage Tips
========

========

Destiny Bond on the Trick Room set can let Cofagrigus take down a wall with it, while Memento can pave the way for another sweeper to begin boosting.

Checks & Counters
########
**Taunt**: Taunt users like Skuntank can usually shut Cofagrigus down; Drapion is possibly the greatest threat to the offensive Trick Room set, having access to Knock Off, Toxic Spikes, and Swords Dance, while forcing Cofagrigus out.

**Status**: Status such as poison and burn will wear Cofagrigus down very swiftly, as it has no way of removing them and Pain Split can only do so much to alleviate recovery issues.

**Meloetta**: Meloetta is immune to Shadow Ball, doesn't care much forabout being burned, and can use most variants lacking Knock Off as setup fodder.

hello nice to meet you can I shake your hand(s)

Overview
########
Cofagrigus is a slow and bulky mixed wall that also packs a decent punch on the special side specially (this qualifies as 'spectrum' stuff). By virtue of its Ghost typing, it can spinblock and has ample opportunities to switch in. Cofagrigus is also one of the most reliable users of Haze and Trick Room, the latter of which it can take advantage of with its low Speed. Access to Will-O-Wisp and Nasty Plot lets it wall physical attackers much better and boost its offensive presence, respectively. Furthermore, its unique Mummy ability allows it to act as a crutch clutch check to some Pokemon that rely on their abilities. Unfortunately, Cofagrigus's low Speed outside of Trick Room, susceptibility to status, and lack of reliable recovery means that it will be worn down rather quickly, while the buffs to Knock Off and Dark- and Ghost-type moves in general are also bad news for it.

Overview
########
- solid mixed bulk and decent special attack
- can spinblock
- one of the most reliable haze users
- good in trick room teams
- mummy can let it be a crutch check to mons that rely on their abilities
- gets WoW and nasty plot
- no reliable recovery outside of pain split
- low hp stat, slow outside TR
- more dark and ghost types around nowadays; knock off buff is terrible news for cofagrigus

Offensive Trick Room
########
name: Offensive Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Nasty Plot
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Hidden Power Fighting
ability: Mummy
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
nature: Quiet
ivs: 0 Spe

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========
