[COMPLETED] Florges

Change this to ''Amazing special bulk and good Special Attack''.

Combine those two as they are the same Pro.

Add that it has reliable recovery with Wish and it can also heal its teammates as a Pro.

Remove this as it is just a repetition of the first Con.

Slash Aromatherapy before Toxic on the first set.

Also what is this supposed to mean:

There are plenty of Steel and Poison-types in OU, and they can all easily switch into Florges as they resist its STAB move, making Toxic not the ideal option. Also, out of the Pokemon you mentioned, Goodra and Noivern are OHKO/2HKOed by Moonblast anyway. Just remove this sentence and mention that Toxic is good to cripple special attackers such as Volcarona and Mega Blastoise, which Florges checks very well.

Make sure to describe the moves of the set in the order that they appear, which means that you first explain Wish + Protect, then Moonblast, and then Aromatherapy / Toxic.

Remove HP Ground from the CM set as everything other than Chandelure is hit harder by the other moves and Chandelure is not common enough to give it a slash. Psychic 2HKOes anyway after a boost, while Chandelure struggles to do anything back. Remove the Energy Ball slash and just give it a small mention at the end of the paragraph.

Add some teammates for both sets. Physically bulky Pokemon that resist Florges's weaknesses such as Excadrill and Rotom-W are good teammates.

Oh and please fix the checks and counters section. You have Pokemon such as Gyarados that are 2HKOed with Moonblast after SR and you don't very important counters such as Aegislash.
Fixed with all of your advices, thanks Alex, as always :)
Now I think that its ready for QC.

Move Moonblast to the third slot on the first set.

Explain why with a few words.

QC Approved 2/3

Florges is a quite interesting Pokémon.
It has some enormous Special Defensive capabilities as well as a nice HP stat and a very respectable Special Attack stat.

It is perfect as a special wall and in addition to the moves already mentioned, a simple combo of Toxic and Protect could also work for Florges.

Yeah, it works, but after some testing, i can say that Aromatherapy is better, because it can heals your team against status, which are very boring, especially if your team is status weak. There are plenty of Steel-, and Poison-type Pokemon that can switch in against Toxic, such as Venusaur, Dragalge, Klefki, Gengar, Scizor etc. so Florges have to switch out before being OHKOed lol.

[Pros]

Florges has amazing Amazing Special special bulk and good Special Attack.

With its Fairy-type STAB Fairy typing, he it can withstand to Dark-,(RC) and Fight-type Fighting-type attacks and it has immunity be immune to Dragon-type attacks. Also, it can OHKO Dragon-, Dark-, and Fight-type Pokemon. (You need to be more specific here; give examples, as Florges can't OHKO every Dragon-, Dark-, and Fighting-type in existence)

It has access to Aromatherapy and Wish to support itself and its teammates.

It has reliable recovery with Wish and it can also heal its teammates.
(this is not a required change, just a recommended one.)

[Cons]

Its Defense stat is low.

Its movepool is poor.

[Set Recommendations]

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy / Toxic(space)

This set is probably one of the best for Florges is the best set Florges can run. An amazing Special Defense stat,(RC) and a decent Special Attack stat,(RC) makes it very hard to shut down. This set allows Florges to be a supporter for teams that need Wish supporter, in order to heal teammates HP. Protect allows Florges to abuse of Wish personally to utilize Wish itself, or just scouting scout the opponent's move that its going to recive. Moonblast its is the only STAB of this set STAB move of choice, which drop as it drops the Special Attack stat of an the opposing Pokemon, making Florges very hard even harder to shut down, and it can heal its HP with Wish, and Protect (repetition). This STAB also serves to perform an OHKO / NHKO to most Dragon-, Dark-, and Fight-type Fighting-type Pokemon, and looking for some even does good neutral damage against Pokemon that have a low Special Defense stat. While at first glance Sylveon seems to outclass outclasses Florges as Wish passer, it has Florges's access to Aromatherapy, which allows it to heals teammates status problems, making Florges makes it the best better Wish passer. While Aromatherapy is Florges's primary choice, it can runs run Toxic instead to cripple special, that is good to cripple Special attackers such as Volcarona or and Mega Blastoise, which Florges checks very well.

The best way to use this set is to cover Florges's weakness with Physically bulky Pokemon such as Excadrill that can also spin Toxic Spikes which threaten Florges, and destroys Poison-type Pokemon that gives some issues to it with Earthquake Physically bulky Pokemon are very useful to cover up Florges's weaknesses. Excadrill fits the bill very well as it can spin away Toxic Spikes, which give Florges trouble; Excadrill also destroys Poison-type Pokemon that threaten Florges with Earthquake. Rotom-W is also a good partner for Florges as well, being capable of withstanding to Steel-type moves such as Bullet Punch, and it has access to Will-o-Wisp in order to burn and halve Physically-based attacker's attack burning Pokemon to halve their Attack stat with Will-O-Wisp.

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Hidden Power Fire
- Psychic

This set take takes advantages advantage of Florges Florges's massive staying power in order to stat stack up boosts with Calm Mind. After a boost,(AC) it can deal serious neutral or super effective damage, making it hard to switch in safely (I'm assuming that's what you meant, if not, then please reword to make it more clear) hard every single safe switch. After a boost, with Moonblast it will be able to OHKO bulky Dragons, Fight-, and Dark-type Pokèmon Pokemon, in addition to Pokèmon Pokemon that have a poor Special Defense stat (Again, please be specific and give examples or just remove this part and explain Moonblast instead). With Hidden Power Fire,(AC) Florges it can OHKO Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Scizor when he they try to switch into its Fairy-type moves. Psychic allows Florges to shut down problematic Poison-type Pokemon that can be problematic because of its 2x weakness such as Tentacruel,(AC) or Crobat,(AC) or and Venusaur when it tries to as they try to switch in to Moonblast. Energy Ball may be a secondary choice after Psychic can be used instead of Psychic, but its it's not recommended, because without Psychic that, Florges is stopped by Poison-type Pokemon,.(AP) but if its not important due to team's needs However, if your team has other ways of dealing with Poison-types, then it can Florges should run Energy Ball in order to deal some serious damages damage against bulky Water-,(RC) and Ground-type Pokemon.

Entry hazard support is appreciated to Florges, as it mitigates Florges's lack of Speed and puts the opponent in a tight spot especially Sticky Web, which drop Speed stat of all grounded Pokèmon, making the lack in Speed of Florges, in a real danger for the other Pokemon that takes Sticky Web. Also, Physically physically bulky Pokemon such as Excadrill or Rotom-W are appreciated. The first because it can spin away for example entry hazards such as Toxic Spikes, its is immune to Poison-type moves, perform an OHKO / NHKO to OHKOes Steel-type Pokemon with Earthquake, and can withstand priority such as Bullet Punch that KOs KOes Florges. The second can take some Physically-based physically-based attacks well and then use responds with a Will-o-Wisp Will-O-Wisp for a burn, then use uses Pain Split to heal some HP, Volt Switch in order to gain momentum, and Hydro Pump in order to damage as more as possible every Pokemon that threaten Florges such as Scizor to do heavy damage to threatening Pokemon such as Scizor.

[Checks and Counters]

While its Florges's Special Defense is massive, its Defense is not the best. Florges have It has serious problems with all physical and physically-based Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor, that which can OHKO it with Bullet Punch, and if it Florges doesn't runs run Hidden Power Fire to use in predict of a switch in, it is forced to switch out. Toxicroak forcing also forces Florges to switch out because of its Swords Dance-boosted Poison Jab. Fire-type Pokèmon Pokemon, such as Volcarona and Charizard, can safely switch in such as Volcarona or Charizard that can both resists the defensive set, and if it is that, if Florges is running the defensive set, as they resist Moonblast. Venusaur can also safely switch in on Moonblast, making Florges useless if it doesn't have Psychic. Aegislash tease Florges, because with the defensive set, Florges can't do anything against it, then Aegislash proceed to boost its Attack stat with Swords Dance, then sweep easily uses the defensive set as setup fodder, and can proceed to sweep Florges's entire team. Its lack in Speed makes him outspeeded by a lot of Pokemon, and its 4-slot syndrome makes it walled by specifics Pokemon, depends on what move or set is used. It's also very easy to outspeed it, since it lacks a lot of Speed. It all depends on the type of moves or set it's running, as Florges has a case of four-moveslot syndrome. (I personally don't like the way this is worded, but I can't think of anything better; help from other GP members will be appreciated.)

I'm not going to stamp this yet, as there were a lot of changes to be made (most of them had to do with sentence structure). Please implement these changes, and then I or another GP checker will read over it again, make edits if need be, and stamp it. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I feel it is required because of the amount (and type) of edits I had to make.

I'll do this also.

For simplicity reasons, I don't usually tend to do C&P edits, but here's a second one:

[Pros]

Florges has amazing special bulk and good Special Attack.

With its Fairy typing, it can withstand Dark- and Fighting-type attacks and be immune to Dragon-type attacks.

Also, it has enough power to OHKO Dragon-types such as Noivern, Dark-type such as Malamar, and Fighting-type such as Lucario.

It has access to Aromatherapy and Wish to support itself and its teammates.

[Cons]

Florges's Defense leaves a lot to be desired.

There are only a few real options in terms of movepool.

[Set Recommendations]

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy / Toxic

This is the best set Florges can run. An amazing Special Defense stat and a decent Special Attack stat make it very hard to shut down. This set allows Florges to be a Wish supporter, in order to heal its teammates' HP. Protect allows Florges to utilize Wish itself, or just scout the opponent's move. Moonblast is the STAB move of choice, as it drops the Special Attack stat of the opposing Pokemon, making Florges even harder to shut down. This STAB also serves to OHKO most Dragon-, Dark-, and Fighting-type Pokemon, and even does good neutral damage against Pokemon that have a low Special Defense stat. While Aromatherapy is Florges's primary choice, it can run Toxic instead to cripple special attackers such as Volcarona and Mega Blastoise, which Florges naturally checks very well, but cannot do much else against.

Physically bulky Pokemon are very useful to cover up Florges's weaknesses. Excadrill fits the bill very well as it can Rapid Spin away Toxic Spikes, which give Florges trouble; Excadrill also destroys the Poison-type Pokemon that threaten Florges with Earthquake. Rotom-W is a good partner for Florges as well, being capable of withstanding Steel-type moves such as Bullet Punch, and burning Pokemon to halve their Attack stat with Will-O-Wisp.

Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Hidden Power Fire
- Psychic

This set takes advantage of Florges's massive staying power in order to stack up boosts with Calm Mind. After a boost, it can deal serious damage, making it hard to switch in safely. Moonblast is the STAB move of choice, allowing Florges to look for some good neutral damage after one Calm Mind. With Hidden Power Fire, Florges can OHKO Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Scizor if they try to switch in on Moonblast; the same applies for Psychic and Poison-type Pokemon such as Tentacruel, Crobat, and Venusaur. Energy Ball can be used instead of Psychic, but it isn't recommended: without Psychic, Florges is utterly ruined by Poison-type Pokemon. However, if your team has other ways of dealing with Poison-types, such as Garchomp or Zygarde, then Florges should run Energy Ball in order to deal some serious damage against the bulky Water- and Ground-type Pokemon that would otherwise interrupt your physical attacker's sweep.

Sticky Web is appreciated on a teammate, as it mitigates Florges's lack of Speed and puts the opponent in a tight spot. Also, physically bulky Pokemon such as Excadrill or Rotom-W are very useful. The first because it can spin away entry hazards such as Toxic Spikes, is immune to Poison-type moves, OHKOes Steel-type Pokemon with Earthquake, and can withstand priority moves such as Bullet Punch that would KO Florges. The second can take some physically-based attacks very well and then respond with a Will-O-Wisp for a burn, use Pain Split to heal some HP, Volt Switch in order to gain momentum, or Hydro Pump to do heavy damage to threatening Pokemon such as Scizor.

[Checks and Counters]

While Florges's Special Defense is massive, its Defense is not the best. It has serious problems with physically-based Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor, which can OHKO it with Bullet Punch, and if Florges doesn't run Hidden Power Fire, it is forced to switch out. Toxicroak also forces Florges out because of its Swords Dance-boosted Poison Jab, but must beware of switching into Psychic. Fire-type Pokemon such as Volcarona and Charizard can safely switch in if Florges is running the defensive set, as they resist Moonblast and can threaten a sweep after setting up. Venusaur can also safely switch in on Moonblast, making Florges useless if it doesn't have Psychic. Aegislash easily uses the defensive set as setup fodder, and can proceed to sweep Florges's entire team. It's also very easy to outspeed Florges, as it lacks a lot of Speed. It all depends on the type of moves or set it's running, as Florges has a case of moveset schizophrenia.
