Overview
########

Conkeldurr is the definition of a tank. A powerful base 140 Attack coupled with base 105 HP and a solid base 95 Defense allows it to not only take hits but also dish them out. It also has access to recovery in Drain Punch, which when combined with Guts, makes it a great switch-in to common status users such as Gengar, Rotom-W, Thundurus, and Heatran, as Conkeldurr is able to beat them. Conkeldurr also has amazing coverage moves as well as a resistance to Stealth Rock. Its poor Speed is made up for by a priority move in Mach Punch, while its average Special Defense is remedied by Assault Vest. However, with Fairy-types such as Azumarill and Clefable running around and its inability to switch into common threats, Conkeldurr is a hit-or-miss Pokemon.

Assault Vest
########
name: Assault Vest

move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Ice Punch / Knock Off
move 4: Poison Jab / Stone Edge
ability: Guts
item: Assault Vest
evs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Drain Punch is Conkeldurr's main STAB move, providing 50% of the damage dealt as recovery. Mach Punch gives Conkeldurr priority and can be used to pick off weakened opponents. Ice Punch gives Conkeldurr excellent coverage against bulky Ground- and Flying-types such as Gliscor and Landorus-T, as well as Dragon-types such as Latios and Latias. Knock Off cripples any Pokemon, as none appreciate losing their item. It also allows you to take on Stall Breaker Mew with ease. Stone Edge allows Conkeldurr to take out its common checks such as Pinsir, Talonflame, and Charizard on the switch. Poison Jab is a great move on Conkeldurr, allowing it to deal massive damage to Fairy-types, most notably Azumarill and Clefable, which are both 2HKOed after a bit of prior damage.

Set Details
========

Conkeldurr is a tank, taking hits while hitting back like a truck. Assault Vest is the item of choice as it raises Conkeldurr's Special Defense greatly, allowing it to take attacks from powerful special attackers such as Mega Charizard Y and Thundurus. An Adamant nature and maximum Attack investment allows Conkeldurr to hit hard with its great coverage. 20 Speed EVs allows it to outpace opposing Conkeldurr and Hippowdon, allowing Conkeldurr to potentially beat Hippowdon one-on-one if Guts is activated. The rest of the EVs are put in Special Defense to maximize bulk, allowing Conkeldurr to take hits from the aforementioned specially offensive threats. Guts allows Conkeldurr to freely switch into common status moves such as Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp from Pokemon such as Thundurus and Rotom-W, giving Conkeldurr a free Attack boost, and with Assault Vest, Conkeldurr is easily able to take them on.

Usage Tips
========

Thanks to Assault Vest, switching into special attackers without strong super effective STAB moves is of little concern for Conkeldurr. Keep in mind that Conkeldurr's only form of recovery is Drain Punch, which is not always reliable, so Conkeldurr should be kept healthy if it is needed to check special threats. Conkeldurr isn't really a Pokemon that you can base a team around, but it can fit on many offensive or balanced teams. It can easily switch into status moves from common Pokemon such as Heatran, Thundurus, and Rotom-W while recovering any damage done with Drain Punch. Don't be afraid to make a prediction and fire off the appropriate coverage move to hit a switch-in hard. Conkeldurr is a Pokemon that forces a lot of switches, so firing off repeated Drain Punches can allow your opponent to freely switch in threats that can outspeed and take out Conkeldurr such as Latios.

Team Options
========

Conkeldurr appreciates teammates that can come in on strong Flying- and Fairy-type attacks aimed at it. Rotom-W is an excellent partner, as it can take attacks from Talonflame and Mega Pinsir, has Pain Split to recovery back the damage, and is also a great switch-in to Azumarill, which otherwise threatens Conkeldurr. Landorus-T is also a nice choice as it comes in on Flying-type moves, shrugs off the damage, and is able to set up Stealth Rock or pivot out with U-turn, which also allows Conkeldurr to easily switch into common Landorus-T counters such as Rotom-W. Latias is another notable choice as it comes in on Mega Venusaur and Choice Specs Keldeo, which threaten Conkeldurr, and is able to knock them out. Latias also provides Defog support as well as a switch-in to Landorus, which can threaten Conkeldurr with Psychic. Be wary of Knock Off variants though. Partners such as Bisharp and Tyranitar that can trap and take on strong Psychic-types are also excellent partners, paving the way for Conkeldurr to do major damage. Heatran provides Conkeldurr with Stealth Rock support and also shrugs off hits from Clefable, Sylveon, and Mega Venusaur, barring Earthquake. Clefable and Kyurem-B are also nice teammates as they are able to take on Greninja and Mega Venusaur, while the former can also set up Stealth Rock.

Other Options
########

Bulk Up is an option, allowing Conkeldurr to raise its Defense while boosting its Attack, but losing the immediate bulk from Assault Vest as well as not being a great switch-in to common special attackers such as Thundurus can make Bulk Up Conkeldurr hard to fit on teams. Thunder Punch is a solid choice for hitting Mega Gyarados that think that they can set up before Mega Evolving. It also dents Charizard and Talonflame switch-ins as well as bulky Water-types such as Azumarill. Fire Punch can be an option for taking on Mega Scizor, which would otherwise set up on Conkeldurr. Superpower has more Base Power, but the lack of recovery and the stat drops are detrimental. Facade can be a strong option, as combined with Guts it gives Conkeldurr a powerful attack. Rock Slide can be used over Stone Edge to trade power for accuracy.

Checks & Counters
########

**Flying-types**: Strong physical Flying-types such as Talonflame and Mega Pinsir force out Conkeldurr with their STAB moves, though they need to be wary of switching in on Stone Edge.

** Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Azumarill, Gardevoir, Togekiss, and Clefable can all outspeed Conkeldurr and threaten to OHKO or 2HKO Conkeldurr, though they do not appreciate switching into Poison Jab as it threatens to 2HKO most of them.

**Psychic-types**: Both Latios and Latias can OHKO Conkeldurr with STAB Psyshock; however, they cannot switch in on Knock Off or Ice Punch or they will be heavily damaged. Alakazam can also defeat Conkeldurr with its Psychic-type STAB moves of choice, but is much more frail than Latios and Latias and can never switch in directly, as if it switches in on a Knock Off and is taken down to its Focus Sash, it can then be KOed by Mach Punch.

**Physical Walls and Tanks**: Slowbro, Hippowdon, and Mega Scizor can all shrug off attacks from Conkeldurr if Guts is not activated and recover their HP back. Slowbro threatens Conkeldurr with its Psychic-type STAB moves while Mega Scizor can set up on it. Mega Venusaur can take any attack and either heal with Synthesis or threaten to 3HKO Conkeldurr with Sludge Bomb.

In usage tips, add that by virtue of Conkeldurr's only form of recovery being Drain Punch, which it doesn't really use all that often, it should be kept at relatively high health if special attackers like Mega Charizard Y, Thundurus, or Heatran need to be checked.

In the overview it should be noted somewhere in the write-up that several notable special attackers, such as Mega Charizard Y, Rotom-W, Gengar, and Thundurus, often carry status moves to activate Guts, making Conkeldurr even better at checking them. I know you already have Guts listed there but I think it's important to stress that Conkeldurr is not only a good status absorber, but also happens to effectively check a lot of the most common users of status moves. That sets it apart from Pokemon like Gliscor or PH Breloom that can also act as status absorbers who can't really stand up to most of the aforementioned users of status moves, and must immediately switch out after baiting an attack.

Physical walls should be its own section in checks and counters; Slowbro can be put there as well as Pokemon like Hippowdon and Mega Scizor (not really a true wall but bulky sets effectively wall conk).

This looks great, nice job. QC Approved 2/3

I could include it in other options, i feel that it shouldn't have its own set since fairies destroy any chance of set up and losing av means you take tons from thundurus venu lando keldeo lati twins greninja who survives non boosted punch as well as clefable who beats you before you beat it

I think you could expand on how it fits into the meta a bit in the overview. I feel like you're overselling it a bit; Conkeldurr isn't really the best choice in the meta as it typically fares not very well against common Pokemon. Perhaps maybe just elaborate on its flaws and the sorts of things it does in the metagame. "Fantastic at what it does" implies it's a stellar choice in the meta, which I kind of disagree with. I also think you can maybe beef up your checks and counters a bit, for example:

**Psychic types**: Both Latios and Latias can OHKO Conkeldurr with their STAB Psyshock, however they cannot switch in on a Knock Off or they will be heavily damaged. Alakazam can also defeat Conkeldurr with its Psychic-type STAB move of choice, but is much more frail than Latios and Latias so can never switch in directly; if it switches in on a Knock Off and is taken down to its Focus Sash, it can then be KOed by Mach Punch.

Great analysis content-wise, QC 3/3 and Bulk Up should go in OO but I disagree with it being given its own set.

Drain Punch is Conkeldurr's main STAB move, providing 50% recovery of damage dealt. Mach Punch gives Conkeldurr priority and can be used to pick off weakened opponents. Ice Punch gives you Conkeldurr excellent coverage against bulky Ground and Flying types (if this means "bulky Ground / Flying Pokemon" change it to that; if it means "bulky Ground-types and bulky Flying-types" change it to "bulky Ground- and Flying-types") such as Gliscor and Landorus-T, as well as Dragon-types (dash) like such as Latios and Latias. Stone Edge allows Conkeldurr to take out its common checks Pinsir, Talonflame, and Charizard on the switch-in, taking out Pinsir, Talonflame and Charizard. Poison Jab is a great move on Conkeldurr, allowing you it to hit deal massive damage to Fairy-types (dash), (comma) for massive damage. most notably Azumarill and Clefable, which are both 2HKOed - who is 2HK0'd as well as Clefable who is 2HK0'd after a bit of prior damage.

Set Details
========

Conkeldurr is a tank, (comma) and a powerhouse- taking hits while hitting back like a truck. Assault Vest is the item of choice as it raises Conkeldurr's Special Defense greatly, (comma) allowing it to take special attacks from even the strongest special attackers like such as Mega Charizard-Y (remove dash) and Thundurus. An Adamant nature and max Attack investment allow Conkeldurr to hit hard with its great coverage on top of it's amazing durability. The 20 Speed EVs allows it to outpace opposing Conkeldurr as well as and Hippowdon, allowing you Conkeldurr to potentially beat it them (<- change to "Hippowdon" if only it) one-on-one (dashes) if Guts is activated. The rest of the EVs is are put in Special Defense to maximize bulk, allowing you Conkeldurr to take hits from the aforementioned specially offensive threats. Guts allows Conkeldurr to be a free switch-in to common status moves such as Thunder Wave and Will-o-Wisp from Pokemon such as Thundurus/ (remove slash) and Rotom-W, giving Conkeldurr a free boost in Attack, (comma) and with Assault Vest Conkeldurr is easily being able to take them on.

Usage Tips
========

Thanks to Guts and Assault Vest, switching into threats is of little concern for Conkeldurr (you say in the overview that it can't switch into threats though?). Keep in mind though, that Conkeldurr's (apostrophe) only form of recovery is Drain Punch, which is not always the most reliable, so Conkeldurr should be kept healthy if it is needed to check special threats. Conkeldurr isn't really a pokemon that you can base a team around, but it can fit on many offense or balance teams. It is a team player and can easily switch into status moves from common Pokemon such as Heatran, Thundurus and Rotom-W while recovering any damage done with Drain Punch. Be wary of Thundurus that carry Hidden Power Flying or Hidden Power Psychic, though Thundurus. Don't be afraid to make a prediction and fire off the appropriate coverage move to hit a switch-in hard an attack like Ice Punch to catch a Latios switch in or Poison Jab for Azumarill or Clefable. Conkeldurr is a Pokemon that forces a lot of switches, so firing off repeated Drain Punches can be detrimental, allowing your opponent to get switch-ins to freely switch in threats such as the previously mentioned pokemon. (which previously mentioned Pokemon?)

Team Options
========

Conkeldurr appreciates teammates that can come in on strong Flying- (dash) and Fairy-type attacks aimed at it as well as powerful Fairy moves. Rotom-W is an excellent partner, as it can takes attacks from Talonflame and Mega Pinsir, has Pain Split to recovery back the damage, and is also a great switch-in to Azumarill, (comma) which otherwise threatens Conkeldurr. Landorus-T is also a nice choice as it comes in on Flying-type moves bird spam, shrugs off the damage, and is able to get up Stealth Rock or pivot out with U-turn. This allows Conkeldurr an easy switch-in to common Landorus-T counters such as Rotom-W. Latias is another notable choice as it comes in on Mega Venusaur and Choice Specs Keldeo, which who threaten Conkeldurr, being and is able to knock it them out before Conkeldurr can do the same. Latias also provides solid Defog support as well as a switch-in to Landorus, (comma) which -Iwho can threaten the 2HK0 on Conkeldurr with Psychic. Be wary of Knock Off variants though. Partners such as Bisharp and Tyranitar that can trap and take on strong Psychic-types (dash) such as Bisharp and Tyranitar are also excellent partners, paving the way for Conkeldurr to do major damage. Heatran provides Conkeldurr with Stealth Rock support and also shrugs off hits from Clefable, Sylveon, (comma) and Mega Venusaur, bar Earthquake. Clefable and Kyurem-B are also nice teammates as they are able to take on Greninja and the later Mega Venusaur, while the former can also get up set Stealth Rock.

Other Options
########

Knock Off is definitely an option for crippling any Pokemon as well as beating knocking out the Latias, Latios, and Mew twins and beating Mew. Bulk Up is an option, (comma) allowing Conkeldurr to raise its Defenses while boosting up its Attack, (comma) but losing the immediate bulk from Assault Vest as well as not being a great switch-in to common special attackers such as Thundurus can be more detrimental than beneficial makeing Conkeldurr a hard pokemon to fit on teams. Thunder Punch is a solid choice for hitting Mega Gyarados that thinking that they can set up before Mega Evolving. It also dents Charizard and Talonflame switch-ins as well as bulky Water-types such as Azumarill. Fire Punch can be an option for taking on Mega Scizor, (comma) who which would otherwise set up on Conkeldurr you. Superpower is ok for the has added power, (comma) but the lack of recovery and stat drops are more detrimental than beneficial. Facade can be a strong option, as combined with Guts it gives Conkeldurr giving you a powerful, generally neutral, attack. Rock Slide can be used over Stone Edge to trade trading accuracy over for power.

Checks & Counters
########
(there should be colons after each item)
**Flying-types (dash)**: Strong physical attackers Flying-types such as Talonflame and Mega Pinsir force out Conkeldurr out with their respective STAB moves, though they need to be wary of switching in on Stone Edge though as they will be easily knocked out.

** Fairy-types (dash)**: Fairy-types (dash) such as Azumarill, Mawile, Gardevoir, Togekiss, (comma) and Clefable all can all outspeed Conkeldurr and threaten to OHKO or 2HKO Conkeldurr the KO or 2HK0 before Conkeldurr can 2HK0 them back, though they do not appreciate switching into Poison Jab as it threatens the to 2HKO on most of them.

**Psychic-types (dash)**: Both Latios and Latias can OHKO Conkeldurr with their STAB Psyshock; (semicolon) however, (comma) they cannot switch in on a Knock Off/ (remove slash) or Ice Punch or they will be heavily damaged. Alakazam can also defeat Conkeldurr with its Psychic-type STAB moves of choice, but is much more frail than Latios and Latias so and can never switch in directly, (comma) as if it switches in on a Knock Off and is taken down to its Focus Sash, it can then be KOed by Mach Punch.

**Physical walls or tanks**: Slowbro, Hippowdown, and Mega Scizor can all shrug off attacks from Conkeldurr if Guts is not activated , bar guts being active, and recovery their HP back. Slowdown threatens Conkeldurr with its Psychic-type STAB moves while Mega Scizor can set up on it. The former threatening it with Psychic Stab while the latter sets up on it. Mega Venusaur can take any attack and either heal with Synthesis or threaten the to 3HKO Conkeldurr with Sludge Bomb as well as has reliable recovery in Synthesis allowing it to effectively beat Conkeldurr.

Thanks to Assault Vest, switching into special attackers without strong super effective STAB is of little concern for to Conkeldurr.

========

Conkeldurr appreciates teammates that can come in on strong Flying- and Fairy-type attacks aimed at it. Rotom-W is an excellent partner, as it can takes attacks from Talonflame and Mega Pinsir, has Pain Split to recover back the damage, and is also a great switch-in to Azumarill, which otherwise threatens Conkeldurr. Landorus-T is also a nice choice as it comes in on Flying-type moves, shrugs off the damage, and is able to set up Stealth Rock or pivot out with U-turn. This allows Conkeldurr to switch in easily to common Landorus-T counters such as Rotom-W. Clefable and Kyurem-B are also nice teammates as they are able to take on Greninja and Mega Venusaur, while the former can also set Stealth Rock.

Other Options
########

Knock Off is an option for crippling any Pokemon as well as beating Latias, Latios, and Mew. Bulk Up is an option, allowing Conkeldurr to raise its Defense while boosting up its Attack, but losing the immediate bulk from Assault Vest as well as not being a great switch-in to common special attackers such as Thundurus can make Bulk Up Conkeldurr hard to fit on teams. Superpower has added power, but the lack of recovery and stat drops are detrimental. Facade can be a strong option, as combined with Guts it gives Conkeldurr a powerful attack. Rock Slide can be used over Stone Edge to trade accuracy for power power for accuracy.

**Physical walls or tanks**: Slowbro, Hippowdon, and Mega Scizor can all shrug off attacks from Conkeldurr if Guts is not activated and recover their HP back. Slowbro threatens Conkeldurr with its Psychic-type STAB moves while Mega Scizor can set up on it. Mega Venusaur can take any attack and either heal with Synthesis or threaten to 3HKO Conkeldurr with Sludge Bomb.

Overview
########

Conkeldurr is the definition of a tank. A powerful base 140 base Attack coupled with a base 105 base HP and a solid base 95 base Defense allows it to not only take hits but also dish them out. It also has access to recovery in Drain Punch,(AC) which when combined with Guts, makes it a great switch-in to common status users such as Gengar, Rotom-W, Thundurus,(AC) and Heatran, as Conkeldurr is able to beat them. Conkeldurr also has amazing coverage to hit its weaknesses moves as well as a resistance to Stealth Rock.

One of the main uses of Conkeldurr in the metagame is taking advantage of WoW Mew, and to do this you need Knock Off, otherwise Mew walls you even when you are burned. Knock Off also takes care of Slowbro, another important defensive threat that would otherwise completely wall Conk and has nice general utility, so i definitely think that should be somewhere on the main set. I don't find Ice Punch to be that important tbh because Lando-T hates Knock Off anyway and Lati@s are hit harder by Knock Off actually, leaving Gliscor as the main target of Ice Punch, which is important, but so is being able to deal with one of the best status spreaders in OU, Mew.

slashed it in 3rd slot and added why "Knock Off cripples any Pokemon, as none appreciate losing their item. It also allows you to take on Stall Breaker Mew with ease."
