This is a very underrated poke that lives every hit from chinchou, gets the berry juice recovery if necessary and just uses Mirror Coat. It's so easy.

Lileep has the great traits of resisting both of Chinchou's STABs. In fact, switching Lileep into Chinchou is often opportune, due to Storm Drain. This is the set I use, which makes Lileep a potent supporter/bulky semi-attacker. The only thing Lileep has to fear is Ice Beam, but provided you aren't switching into it (a truly great prediction) you'll be fine. Even Ice Beam, however, fails to 2HKO 87.9% of the time after Stealth Rock:

228+ SpA Chinchou Ice Beam vs. 176 HP / 60 SpD Eviolite Lileep: 10-12 (40 - 48%) -- 12.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

188+ SpA Lileep Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Chinchou: 24-30 (100 - 125%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Now, once you're in, you can do a whole four things: go straight for the OHKO with Giga Drain, predict the switch and put up Rocks, predict and Recover, or predict and Ancient Power (fairly rare, indeed). Overall, Lileep is a solid answer to our newly-S-Rank friend.

I was originally going to vote Ferroseed, but then I remembered Goldeen outspeeds Modest Chinchou, which means Chinchou actually has to straight up switch or get crippled hard. That and I fucking love Goldeen. So Rowan it is.

On a side note, thank you to all the people that submitted entries this week for not submitting Chinchou itself as a counter. It's appreciated.
