Arceus-Fire @ Flame Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Flamethrower / Fire Blast
- Thunder / Thunderbolt
- Recover

Seems like you niggas forgot this is UBERS
Fireceus doesn't give a shit about Abomasnow. It resists both of its STABs and packs a STAB 4x super effective move on Abomasnow in Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Under the sun Arceus because a total monster, so Groudon support is mandatory as it also provides Stealth Rock support. A +1 Flamethrower under the sun does TONS of damage;
  • Flamethrower vs. 4/0 Garchomp: 63.1% - 74.6%
  • Flamethrower vs. 252/0 Groudon: 106.9% - 125.7%
  • Flamethrower vs. 4/0 Mewtwo: 122.0% - 143.5%
Fire Blast and Modest Nature are viable options, in order to hit harder, but it might risk Arceus's sweep. Seeing as Kyogre is the main obstacle for Fireceus and Flamethrower is already the main attack, Thunder can be used to hit Kyogre very hard, whose Drizzle weakens Flamethrower. However, if you don't want to risk a miss ouside rain, Thunderbolt is by far the safer option.

It also has higher PP, which can be relevant when you consider the high volume of Pressure Pokemon.

Anyway, to keep this thread going, I'm going OLD SCHOOL STALL.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Calm | 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
~ Wish
~ Protect
~ Toxic
~ Seismic Toss

Fire Arceus is going to be hard pressed to do serious enough damage to Chansey that it can't Wish + Protect it off. Even after a couple Calm Minds, Arceus won't be able to break Chansey, unless you're pretty lucky. Since you're most likely using a stall team if you use Chansey, or at least a really bulky team, you probably have entry hazards, which will strip Fire Arceus of a lot of its health coming in. Chansey can Seismic Toss it to death from there, or Toxic it to limit its staying ability. Toxic works really well here since Arceus has to keep switching out because of the mounting poison damage, but it'll also take tons of damage from switching into entry hazards.

tehy

Banned deucer.
Gengar @ Fist Plate
Adamant| 4 hp/252 Atk/252 Speed
~Taunt
~Substitute
~Pain Split
~Focus Punch

Chansey can't do anything to damage gengar and can only pass a wish if it uses wish on the switch-in or you overpredict. Afterwards, you can either sub on it, pain split for healing, or just fire off a focus punch. Granted, all you do is counter chansey, but you do do spectacularly.

This is easy

Giratina-O @ Griseous Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 Atk / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
-Draco Meteor
-Shadow Sneak
-Dragon Tail
-Hidden Power Fire

Immune to Gengar's only attack, and can go for the Shadow Sneak for a guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock, or break a sub then OHKO.

Giratina-O is easy to check but I am posting a weird counter that works well.

Giratina @ Haban Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SAtk / 24 Spd
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
-Draco Meteor
-Shadow Ball
-Thunder
-Hidden Power Fire

Giratina with an offensive spread, seems lol but it is actually usable. Draco Meteor OHKOes Giratina-O while Giratina-O's Draco Meteor isn't close to an OHKO thanks to Haban Berry. Shadow Ball slams Mewtwo and Lugia while Thunder 2HKOes some frailer Kyogre forms such as Scarf. Hidden Power Fire smashes Forretress and Ferrothorn outside of rain. Shadow Sneak doesn't do much to Giratina actually.

Carries a lot of suprise factor and it shows that Giratina is the superior form over Giratina-O in this case.

Excadrill @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Rush
176 HP / 60 Atk / 252 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)

-Rapid Spin
-Earthquake
-Swords Dance
-Shadow Claw

This guy little guy is a real dick to face. Provided, you're using him in Rain, Hidden Power Fire wont even 3HKO while Shadow Claw easily 2HKOes Giratina-O, making Excadrill an excellent spinning option for Rain teams. Especially, since most Giratina-O run Thunder nowadays they cant really touch Excadrill at all. Apart from Giratina-O, Excadrill checks a lot of other Uber threats such as Dark Arceus, BU Dialga and can take on Zekrom. Excadrill is one of the most reliable spinners as well and overall is a good pokemon to use on a Rain team as a Ground and a (secondary) Dragon-resist.

Ok, Also I'd like to say that if you including a random mon such as Jolteon or w/e, INCLUDE A LINE OR TWO ABOUT WHAT ELSE IT DOES. Just because Sub Punch Gengar checks Chansey doesnt make it viable in Ubers. It doesnt have to be excellent in its function but as long as it does something other than just checking the above Pokemon, its fine.

Finding a Spin-blocker that beats bulky Excadrill isn't too hard (anything except Mixed GiraO), let's try an underrated set :

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability : Prankster
Nature : Bold
EV Spread : 252 HP - 252 Def - 4 SDef
Moveset :
move 1: Will O Wisp
move 2: Recover
move 3: Taunt
move 4: Foul Play

Blocks Rapid Spin and takes unboosted Earthquake rather well. Priority Will O Wisp shuts down Excadrill even if he has Sand support, and Foul Play can finish it off if he gets greedy with Sword Dances. Sableye has a niche in this meta as a spinblocker that can Taunt the spinners (Jellycent is too slow for Tentacruel). Prankster Taunt shuts down the not-so-uncommon Deoxys-S. Sableye also makes a pretty good counter for Extreme Killer Arceus. Foul Play is very good alongside Will O Wisp, since it prevents Ho-Oh and Reshiram from switching in freely, having decent chances to OHKO Ho-Oh after Stealth Rock.

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Modest ( +SpA, -Atk)
EVs : 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
move 1: Draco Meteor
move 2: Dark Pulse
move 3: Fire Blast
move 4: Focus Blast

Draco Meteor easily OHKOes Sableye, while Dark Pulse and Fire Blast will do more than it can recover. Sableye sucks anyway. Dark Pulse is primarily used to smash Lugia(which is possible thanks to Choice Specs), Wobbuffet and Mewtwo. Fire Blast destroys Steel-types including Jirachi and Ferrothorn while Focus Blast fills in the last slot to OHKO Dialga, Tyranitar and Excadrill in the rain.

EVs are pretty standard, Modest for more power since Timid doesn't let Hydreigon outspeed Palkia anyway and Haxorus doesn't exist in Ubers. Outsped by Rayquaza is bad but Hydreigon needs the extra power a lot. Levitate gives it a useful ability over Palkia and it cannot be trapped by Wobbuffet.

Thank you for that speed creep information o.o.

Anyways to revive this Hydregion is countered by...

Arceus-ROCK @ Stone Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd / 4 Atk
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Recover

Swords Dance Rockceus is awesome! It's really annoying for sun teams and can sweep them whole once you can weaken their Gira-a and Groudon a bit (Mewtwo makes a swell partner). Anyways, it switches into all of Hydregion's attacks, avoids the 2HKO from a Specs Draco Meteor and Focus Miss, and can proceed to Recover! It can then pp stall that move or start dancing with Swords. Thanks to its STAB on Stone Edge, Skarmory has a difficult time taking this Arceus out, taking well over 50% from a +2 Stone Edge, and easily getting 2HKOed. If its used in sand its usefulness is amplified, and it can start setting up as soon as it enters the field. A great check for near all teams that lack an answer to Ho-oh and Reshiram.

Ugh, what the fuck, seriously. Please consider the content of your posts, Honchkrow, Breloom, and Regirock are completely useless in the Ubers Metagame. As a scarfer who is Stealth Rock weak, and lacks the bulk or resistances to stop some the likes of Kyogre, ExtremeKiller, etc. Honchkrow is completely useless. Breloom is completely outclassed by Darkrai as a sleep inducer, and is curbstomped by almost every single Ubers Pokemon with a neutral STAB move. Regirock is a sitting duck to be set up upon by almost every single Arceus Forme, Groudon, BU Dialga, I could go on; with Stone Edge's shaky accuracy and measly PP Regirock will find itself all too often just using a non-stab Fire Punch in rainy conditions.

Counter that Ubers Pokemon is about providing sets that not only counter the previous Pokemon posted but also go on to do other things in the metagame, think not about only being able to wound Ferrothorn and Forretress with a Fire move (as I see a lot of you are doing) but utility in being a general defensive and offensive threat, and whether or not you're outclassed. i.e. Groudon pretty much outclasses Regirock from every standpoint, havnig a better movepool, usable speed, and a better ability.

+1.

Guys, seriously, there are rules for a reason. They are there so you would follow them. Seriously, Regirock and Honchkrow in Ubers? <_< Look at rule number #4:
  • This time, counter the last Pokémon that has been posted!
  • Be creative - do not repeat the sets and Pokémon that have been already used!
  • Do NOT bandwagon - have some actual words after your counter, justifying why it counters the specific Pokémon.
[*] Test your counter before posting it, or take a while to theorymon correctly.
  • Have fun!
Therefore, I am going to counter Rock Arceus;

Terrakion @ Air Balloon
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance

Terrakion resists Stone Edge and is immune to Earthquake thanks to Air Balloon, and packs STAB super effective Close Combat that easily dents Rock Arceus. Not only that, as Rock Arceus Stone Edges, which might miss, Terrakion can set up a Rock Polish, be faster, and hit with Close Combat. However, if the opponent's team is slower, you should Swords Dance and from there wreak havoc. If you can pull them both off, it's pretty much a GG. Stone Edge is an amazing secondary STAB, which provides amazing coverage along with Close Combat. Wobbuffet support is recomnded, as it allows Terrakion to switch into many free moves, set up, and tear teams apart easily.

Giratina @ Leftovers
Impish / Pressure
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
- Dragon Tail
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Completely counters Terrakion, since it's immune to Ghost, takes pittance from Stone Edge and can PP drain. To retaliate, it can cripple Terrakion with WoW or phaze it out with DTail (Furai got me interested un uber quickstall lol). There's probably a better EV spread but I'm still quite new to ubers, and pair this with chansey for special hits and wishes, since giratina is immune to fighting type attacks aimed at chansey. Sorry loo droned on there

Edit: yeah messed up lol

The king of trolls (Whimsicott) makes a perfect counter to Gira-a

move 1: Leech Seed
move 2: Substitute
move 3: Encore
move 4: Taunt
item: Leftovers
ability: Prankster
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

When Whimsicott enters the battle field even the Renegade King gets scared o.o. By using Substitute, Whimsicott basically stomps all over Giratina. Granted that its Dragon Tail may slowly become threatening since two tails break its sub but Leech Seed ensures that you will almost never have much less then max HP. So Giratina-a gets forced into a lose-lose scenario, stay in and basically be forced to have the HP drained out of him (can't rest due to Taunt) or switch and give Whimmy a free Sub. If Whimmy gets a free sub he can then Leech Seed the next thing that comes in and sub seed for ever! If your doing this with Toxic Spikes, your making the other person rip their hair out (yay!)!

Whimsicott's useful does not stop there. Priority Encore makes it a VERY good way of trolling the likes of [insert set up mon here] if you can predict the [insert boosting move here]. Priority Taunt and Encore combined with Hazards, especially toxic spikes, kind of makes it a lethal stall breaker. Well that is unless the other guy has Ferrotroll or Forry, but you can troll them back by running Hidden Power Fire o.o.

Also zeitgeists your posts pronouns lack antecedants :D.

Cloyster @ Life Orb
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Nature: Naive
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Hydro Pump
- Rock Blast

Cloyster doesn't give a crap that Whimsicott has priority Substitute... because Icicle Spear cleanly destroys it through the Sub. The most Whimsicott can do to this thing is to Taunt it to prevent it setting up, while it should probably just bail if it wants to live. Cloyster is ridiculously scary after a Shell Smash, OHKOing pretty much everything in the rain. Icicle Spear completely demolishes most of the Uber walls due to them all being weak to Ice, while Hydro Pump OHKOs most Steel-types. Rock Blast lets you kill Ho-Oh and ScarfOgre.

Arceus @ Splash Plate
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 28 Def / 228 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Judgment
- Spacial Rend
- Fire Blast

Shell Smash Cloyster is hard to counter, but Water Arceus does a good job at checking it. +2 Rock Blast will never KO even after two Stealth Rock switchins, or after Stealth Rock + 3 layers of Spikes, thanks to the Defense EVs. Arceus can then OHKO with any of its moves. Cloyster is so frail specially that even before Shell Smash Judgment KOes in the rain. If rain isn't up, Spacial Rend does 89% - 105%, a guaranteed KO after any entry hazards. With its current moveset, Arceus hits everything at least neutrally, with Judgment in the rain being extremely powerful, and +1 Spacial Rend 2HKOing almost every Dragon, including Giratina-A. Fire Blast completes the coverage and 2HKOes Ferrothorn even in the rain, and also gives Arceus a move to use when sun is up instead of rain.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Toxic
- Softboiled
- Wish / Stealth Rock / Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss

Because Offensive Calm Mind Water Arceus is too versatile, nothing can really counter it besides Chansey or Blissey. But seeing as Leftovers is by far cooler than Eviolite, let's go with Blissey! Blissey tanks everything Water Arceus can throw at her due to her wonderful base 135 Defense and outstanding 255 HP. Amazing bulk and wide movepool of support moves in Toxic, Wish, Aromatherapy, Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, and more, is what makes Blissey probably the best supporter in the game. Toxic completely shuts Water Arceus down, as it puts it another a lot of pressure and shortens its lifespan by a lot. Softboiled is a great healing move, and it lets Blissey heal what she lost against Water Arceus. Wish is another wonderful healing move that can heal your teammates as well, but Stealth Rock and Aromatherapy can be used over it, for obvious reasons. Seismic Toss is Blissey's most reliable attack, taking down 100 HP each time.

I don't see this guy in Ubers too often

Conkeldurr @ Leftovers
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
-Bulk Up
-Drain Punch
-Mach Punch
-Stone Edge

Conkeldurr can easily setup on Blissey. Blissey requires multiple Seismic Tosses to even get close to KO-ing Conkeldurr, who can easily regain all that HP with a Drain Punch. Toxic is just another blessing, as this will facilitate a +2 or more Mach Punch sweep. Since Ubers has much fewer opportunities for Conkeldurr to setup on, max HP and Atk are used to get at least 1 Bulk Up and a +1 Mach Punch on whoever tries to stop him.

blaZofgold said:
I don't see this guy in Ubers too often
Then why are you posting this? Not only is Conkeldurr a complete failure in Ubers, it doesn't do anything significant. I tried it myself and that lousy Special Defense and Speed hurts a lot.

Poppy and Furai already said why you should not post untested sets.

Countering Blissey in this post, well it stomps right through Conkeldurr too anyway lol.

Lugia @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Nature: Bold
- Calm Mind
- Roost
- Substitute
- Psyshock

Substitute makes Blissey useless and enables Lugia to stall slower threats using out low pp moves such as Sacred Fire from Ho-Oh or Groudon with Stone Edge. Calm Mind + Psyshock destroys Blissey and allows Lugia to take out opposing Calm Mind users such as Kyogre and Arceus. It can also stall out Psychic Arceus one-on-one. EVs are pretty much the same, it allows Lugia to survive a Choice Scarf Bolt Strike from Zekrom or a +2 LO Outrage from Garchomp all the time. Roost makes Lugia a very defensive sweeper. This set also sets up on Ferrothorn completely. Use it with Toxic Spikes support to deal with Darkrai and Tyranitar.

Arceus@Dark Plate
Timid
252SpAtt/252Spe/6HP
Judgement
Calm Mind
Recover
Refresh

Standard Stallbreaker Arceus walks all over mono-attack Lugia. Switches in on anything it can use, and then proceed to treat it as setup bait. Or it could just attack if Lugia hasn't got any CMs up, STAB Judgement absolutely nukes Lugia, providing a guaranteed 2HKO on 252HP Lugia if they have the same number of boosts apiece. Refresh puts any ideas of toxic spikes stalling to bed to complete the invulnerability.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-X-Scissor
-Earthquake

Gets an Attack boost from Dark Arceus's only attack, and scares it off with Close Combat.

Groudon @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Stealth Rock
-Dragon Tail

Groudon can easily come in on any one of Terrakion's moves, and then proceed to set up SR, KO it with a STAB Earthquake, or start PhAzing predicting a switch, as terrakion does a pittance to it.

Shaymin-S @ Life Orb
Trait: Serence Grace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
-Air Slash
-Seed Flare
-Earth Power
-Growth

Come in on any attack and OHKO Groudon with Seed Flare. Stone Edge fails to OHKO Shaymin-S, while Earthquake is useless. Air Slash haxes its way into almost anything even Chansey if you are boosted. Hidden Power Ice picks off Rayquaza in one hit and is Shaymin-S's best attack against a weakened Lugia. Earth Power OHKOes both Reshiram and Zekrom at +2. Growth is totally unexpected from Shaymin-S and it can easily sweep once faster threats, Mewtwo and Scarf users are gone. Wobbuffet makes a fantastic partner for this reason.
