[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Ice Punch is mandatory STAB and beats trappers like Diglett and Trapinch.
  • Play Rough for coverage-works on Dark and Fighting types which switch in, especially Mienfoo.
  • Superpower beats Steel and Normal types which switch in, especially Pawniard and Porygon.
  • Encore punishes setup sweepers, Rest-talk mons (especially Skrelp, which it otherwise fails to KO) and similar.
  • Rock Tomb beats Larvesta, which it otherwise loses to.
Set Details
========

  • Life Orb and Adamant nature allows it to 2HKO almost all the meta bar some bulky fire, water and steel types.
  • Timid can be used to outspeed certain threats.
  • Eviolite can be used for extra bulk.
  • Rattled allows Cubchoo to gain more speed if hit by common attacks like Knock Off or U-turn.
  • EVs bring max offensive presence.

Usage Tips
========

  • Force foongus and vullaby out and lure in ponyta, pawniard and ferroseed and 2hko them.
  • Be wary of coverage on many Pokemon which is SE against Cubchoo.
  • Try not to switch in on attacks unless they trigger Rattled.

Team Options
========

  • Slow pivots to bring in Cubchoo safely.
  • Fast Pivots to bring in Cubchoo on a predicted attack which will trigger Rattled.
  • Switch ins to attacks that are SE against Cubchoo.
  • Skrelp and Honedge checks as they completely wall it unless Encored.
  • Fletching switch ins-Magnemite.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Can go mixed for coverage like Surf.
  • Can function under Trick Room.
  • Can function under Hail.
Checks and Counters
===================

  • Skrelp and Honedge: Walls completely, can be Encored.
  • Strong Priority: Fletching plus no Eviolite means death.
  • Larvesta: Unless hit by a Rock attack on switch, KOs and walls.
