~Far away from human civilization, untainted by their exploitation, is a serene savanna deep in the wilderness.The morning sun pours in from the east, showering the landscape with glorious hues. As the sun rises further into the sky, more of the landscape is visible, with a long watering hole stretching 35 feet long and as deep as 5 feet. Small trees and bushes lie by the water's edge with their reflections shimmering in the placid water. Doduos and Phanpys can be seen by the watering for their morning drink with various other Pokemon rustling in the bushes. Today, two trainers approach from opposite sides of the savanna with the watering hole separating the two trainers. While some of the wild Pokemon are detached or scared, many eagerly anticipate the show of strength to come.~

LET'S ROCK!

Absol begins the match by glowing her eyes red with sinister force, causing the air around her to shimmer. Already, Rocky and Democritus are feeling nauseous and lightheaded before the combat begins. As the duo try to shake off the ill effects, Abby is already wrapping herself in a violent gale of wind. Not wanting to let Abby set up, Democritus shouts and gestures in profane insults, infuriating the Absol. Rocky uses this distraction to launch himself across the watering hole with incredible power, laying a powerful kick right on Abby's face. As the Absol remains stalwart spite of her bleeding, Vapes tries to aid her teammate by shooting scalding water on the prize fighter. Now, Abby releases a deadly gust of wind, slicing up both Rocky and Democritus for good damage, leaving cuts on their bodies.

After that, the Vigoroth charges towards the Absol, his claw outstretched and ready for rending! Climbing up and through the trees with ease, Democritus leaps down on Abby, slashing her chest open! Meanwhile, Rocky delivers an electrically charged uppercut on Vapes for a solid chunk of damage. Now back on her feet, Abby momentarily detaches herself from the combat and channels her focused energy into a headbutt. Unfortunately, she just whiffs the Hitmonchan by mere inches, pushing her towards the boiling point. Her teammate Vapes draws up some sand with her tail and throws it right into Rocky's face, causing him to stagger.

With Democritus in clear focus, Abby darts at blinding speeds past Rocky and Vapes, charging headfirst into the ape. Sadly, Abby winches shortly afterward as she agitates her dreadful wound. Seeing this prime opportunity, Democritus leaps back with incredible recovery and delivers a deadly combo of claw strikes, while the prized Rocky follows up with a deadly haymaker, sending the Dark Pokemon flying back horribly battered and bloodied. Vapes, remaining stoic despite these turn of events, takes aim and releases another stream of hot water, this time on Democritus. The Scald sears the Vigoroth so badly it leaves a nasty burn all over his chest and arms. However, his predicament is nothing compared to Abby, who is now struggling to stand from the terrible beating she acquired.

Arena: Savanna watering hole​

Notes:
-The main reason I took so long in doing this round was because I was thinking about the unusual circumstance in this arena, which is most of the arena is covered in water. While there are clearings off to the side, the general gut instinct is to charge forward at your opponents. As a result, I originally had Vigoroth fall deep into the watering hole during his Crush Claw in action 2. Since Vigoroth was deep in the water in action 3, Absol fell in when she used Quick Attack on Vigoroth and Hitmonchan soon followed when he tried to use Drain Punch on Absol for the same reason. As I brought the issue up with Flora, she and I discussed about how the battle would play out. Since it would make things slow and confusing, I ultimately decided to ref it as you see it now with all the attacks succeeding unless something exceptional happens in the battle down the line.

-In case you're wondering PCF, Focus Punch works like in the video games, where you start the round tightening your focus and then release a devastating punch should the user not get hurt by any attack. However, since you weren't sure how the attack worked, I just had Vigoroth use Brick Break.

Abby, use a combo of Zen Headbutt+Quick Attack on Hitmonchan. If you're still standing after the attack and resting, use Hex on Vigoroth.

Vapes, Yawn at Hitmonchan. Then use Scald on Hitmonchan. Finish the round by using Aurora Beam on Hitmonchan. If you are targeted by Taunt replace the current action with Detect.

Round 2

Rocky throws a Mach Punch, which carries on faster than anything Abby can do. However, he's so blind he misses! How truly unlucky. Abby goes in and smashes Rocky with a Zen Headbutt + Quick Attack combo for major damage. Democritus Taunts Vapes at an attempt to stop her from doing anything fishy. This is quickly negated from Vapes's quick Detect movement, however.

Now it's time for Democritus to make his mark - he creeps on the sideline and jumps onto Vapes for a Crush Claw strike! Afterward, Rocky leaps in anger at Abby and socks him with a solid Fire Punch to the face, which KOes the little dark fellow! Vapes, like the bulky water she is, takes the Crush Claw hit with ease and splashes some Scalding water onto Rocky. Gladly, it doesn't burn the cruel fighter.

Democritus seems to be up for something new as he keeps his cool and focuses some power. Rocky lets him do his focusing and goes into combat with Vapes, smacking her with a Drain Punch. This also sucks out some of her own HP to replenish his - how cool! Angry at everything, Vapes just fires off an Aurora Beam at Rocky for however cool damage is does. At last, Democritus is finished with his focusing and FALCON PAWNCHES Vapes with a mad, hard stroke. Oh poor water doggy!

After the bout, Rocky feels less blind now! YAY!

COULD IT BE? THE LAST? OMG

Democritus goes in and crushes the little water dog/cat/mouse/space animal thing with his mad claws as Rocky comes from behind and smacks her with a Drain Punch. Looks like both had no other effect than damage... and healing in Drain Punch's case. Afterward, Vapes creates 3 clones thanks to Double Team - hopefully this makes up for the difference in numbers?

I know what Democritus is thinking. "WHO CARES JUST ATTACK!" And there he leaps in and smashes a random Vapes with a Body Slam. My RNG tells me that this was a... CLONE! Rocky isn't about to have luck drown his fate and socks a Vapes with a ThunderPunch. Aha! This one was NOT a clone - it was Vapes! The real Vapes! And what an owie! Such an owie causes all the clones to poof! She withstands the attack with all her power though and responds back by Scalding the Hitmonchan with incredible power. Would you look at that? It burned!

Again, burn? Democritus and Rocky couldn't give a rat tail's about that! Democritus just furiously swipes Vapes 3 times like the monkey he is while Rocky crashes a Hi Jump Kick into Vapes's face. Actually, the Hi Jump Kick was completely unnecessary as Vapes already dozed off into a night-long faint from the Fury Swipes! The kick? That was just Chuck Norris-style.
