Round 7: Hi, we're Mormons!

Welcome back, folks! Dummy starts the round off by calling back his Clefairy and sending out his Trapinch, Mormon! Burst gets the first move and proceeds to Torment the little antlion. Maybe she's got something against missionaries? Or maybe she just doesn't want to get hit with earthquakes? Either way, this hampers Mormon's arsenal for a couple of rounds. This doesn't, however, stop him from royally bitchslapping the monkey with Earthquake (with a critical hit, no less!). Taking advantage of forcing Mormon to use a different move, Burst Digs underground, avoiding the Trapinch's Sand Tomb and resurfacing to deal a fair amount of damage. Of course, being in such a dangerous situation at the moment, Fox's Monferno takes a quick time out, Slacking Off some of that damage. Doesn't help much, as Mormon's Earth Power shaves off most of that recovery.

Burst is on her last legs, so she makes one final attack by combining Mach Punch with Close Combat to recreate the Hokuto Hundred Crack Fist! Thankfully, Burst appears to be unfamiliar with pressure points, so Mormon's head doesn't explode into a gory mess. But unfortunately, it's safe to say that Fox's Monferno is already dead, as Dummy's Trapinch takes her down with Earth Power.

Round 10: No thank you, we're not interested

We're back, folks! Fox just sent out his newest pokemon - a Ralts named Shank! And it's dangerous to go alone, so he took Fox's second Expert belt. Despite being on the slow side, Shank is still faster than Mormon, and gets the first strike, shining a Ray of Confusion upon the little Trapinch - something that does little good as Mormon lets loose a nasty Earthquake! Shank's assault begins in earnest as he rips a few Leaves off one of the local plants and sends them Magically hurtling toward Mormon, doing a fair amount of damage - but that's pretty dangerous for a badly wounded pokemon, so Mormon hides underground a bit and then ambushes Fox's Ralts with a Faint Attack! And then Shank fires another volley of Magical Leaves, driving away Dummy's missionary once and for all.

It's 2 and 2 now, with Dummy at a slight lead in HP. Will this decide the match? Stay tuned!

Ugh...oh God...breaking out a Bug Buzz that may or may not have shattered my eardrums. Doesn't look like Shank took that too well either, but he does manage to Double Team four doppelgangers.

Anyway, this ends up preventing Jake from laying down any more attacks, as Shank spams Thunderbolt for a considerable amount of damage.

Looks like hax has finally paid off for Fox, as his Ralts still has two clones left and has managed to cut a significant amount of Jake's HP. Perhaps he can take the dragonfly down? Find out next time...
