I want that villa. Just sayin.

Pokemon per side: 2v2
Match Type: Singles
Disqualification Time: 2 days
Arena: Metal Bagons Undella Town Gym
Backstory:
This is the newest gym in the Unova region. In the sunny Undella town it is further away than other gyms and because you only need 8 gym badges to gain access to Unova League is not challenged often. However ______ (Insert Battle accpeters name here) has choosen to challenge possibly the most challenging Gym in the Unova region. Here's a run down of the Arena
The Arena:
The Arena is an island of sand just off the coast of Undella. It's about 70 metres squared (aprox 84 square yards for Americans) surounding it the sea however it is fenced off so no Pokemon can swim in or out of an area of 70 metres (84 square yards)swimming straight off the island in a line. Their is solid ground not far under the ground so earthquake and magnitude will still do full damage. Despite that Dig is still fully functional. Finnally if a Flying Pokemon attempts to fly outside of the perimeter of the arena a Lanturn will shoot it down with a Thunder so powerful that it automatically knocks out all pokemon that attempt to get outside the net, so NO ESCAPING FROM THE ARENA AT ALL.

No evolved Pokemon thanks but unevolvable Pokemon are OK.

DFrog's orders, I believe.

Lets go Gary the Embirch.
Begin with a Reflect then begin your status assault with Will-o-Wisp then finish with a Leech Seed. If Will-o-Wisp misses on action 2 swap leech seed with will-o-wisp in action 3.

Reflect > Wil-o-Wisp > Leech Seed/Wil-o-Wisp (if wil-o-wisp misses)

Well I outspeed so start with a Earthquake. Drill Claw we don't want to be Will-o-Wisped so whip up a Sandstorm to prevent Fire from being made at all becuase there can be no fire in sand, can there! OK next I'm not to sure what damage EQ will do with reflect and I want to avoid leech seed so I'll try to Dig away from leech seed and resurface for damage after Leech Seed has failed!!!
In Short:
Earthquake-Sandstorm-Dig

Drill Claw (Sand Rush + Sand Force)
HP: 90
Energy: 100
Speed: 79
Status: Fine
Boosts/Drops: 0
Actions: Earthquake-Sandstorm-Dig

Gary (Leaf Guard + Battle Armour)
HP: 90
Energy: 100
Speed: 43
Status: Fine
Boosts/Drops: 0
Actions: Reflect > Wil-o-Wisp > Leech Seed/Wil-o-Wisp (if wil-o-wisp misses)

And the battle begins, with Drill Claw launching a quick Earthquake across the field, causing Gary to trip and all. I'm getting nauseous already... He responds by setting up a Reflective barrier to defend against physical assaults. But Drill Claw also sets up, using the dust and gravel in the arena to create a powerful Sandstorm! I can't see, but it sounds like Gary creates an ethereal flame that cannot be extinguished by the sand! He launches it at his foe... and it's a direct hit! Bad luck, Drill Claw, it's right on your claw! But it's not all bad news, as the Sandstorm scratches at Gary. Sensing Gary has something else planned for him, Drill Claw ducks underground as Gary launches a Leech Seed that misses. Drill Claw resurfaces at the end of the round.

Calcs:
Drilbur used Earthquake (15 damage, 6 energy)
Embirch used Reflect (7 energy)
Drilbur used Sandstorm (10 energy)
Embirch used Will-o-Wisp (6 energy)
Drilbur took burn damage (2 damage)
Embirch was buffeted by the Sandstorm (2 damage)
Drilbur dug evasively (2 energy)

Drilbur took burn damage (2 damage)
Embirch was buffeted by the Sandstorm (2 damage)

Drill Claw (Sand Rush + Sand Force)
HP: 86
Energy: 82
Speed: 79
Status: 2nd degree burn, -3 BAP to attacks using its claws
Boosts/Drops: Sand Rush + Sand Force active

Gary (Leaf Guard + Battle Armour)
HP: 71
Energy: 78
Speed: 43
Status: Fine
Boosts/Drops: 0

Sandstorm for four rounds, Reflect (Embirch) for four actions.

OK then better get this on the road then. Drill Claw use Swords Dance to boost your attack. Then use earthquake twice! I am asuming that earthquakes power won't be weakened because it says that only attaks using claws are weakened. Also if leech seed is used then use evasive digging to dodge.

Swords Dance-Earthquake-Earthquake
Sub: If leech seed is used then use evasive digging to dodge.

Drill Claw (Sand Rush + Sand Force)
HP: 86
Energy: 82
Speed: 79

Gary (Leaf Guard + Battle Armour)
HP: 71
Energy: 78
Speed: 43
Status: Fine
Boosts/Drops: 0
Actions: Giga Drain > Leech Seed > Giga Drain

Sandstorm for four rounds, Reflect (Embirch) for four actions.

Round two starts with the ridiculously fast Drill Claw spinning in a dance to boost his power, as Gary sucks the life right from him. Wow, that did a lot! Blah blah passive damage. Suddenly Drill Claw digs evasively to dodge a Leech Seed! G-G-Gasp! Then more passive damage. Then a Sand Force-boosted EARTHQUAKE from Drill Claw, as he stomps the ground (that's how they show it in Colosseum, XD etc.)! And he's met by a second Giga Drain, nasty! And then the round is finished by more passive damage. BOO!

Calcs:
Drilbur used Swords Dance (7 energy)
Embirch used Giga Drain (20 damage, 11 energy, +10 HP Embirch)
Drilbur was hurt by burn (2)

Gary (Leaf Guard + Battle Armour)
HP: 70
Energy: 47
Speed: 43
Status: Fine
Boosts/Drops: 0

Sandstorm for three rounds, Reflect (Embirch) for one action.

EDIT: Forgot to take the damage healed by Giga Drain into account. Derp.

Earthquake, Sandstorm, and evasive digging, Ground types continue their bossage in ASB -_-

But digging with a burned claw (as I've just realised) is difficult, so he expends 3 more energy to do so from now on. It makes sense.

Drill Claw (Sand Rush + Sand Force)
HP: 40
Energy: 67
Speed: 79
Status: 2nd degree burn (2 DPA), -3 BAP to attacks using its claws

HP: 75
Energy: 47
Speed: 43
Status: Fine
Boosts/Drops: 0
Actions: Leech Seed > Reflect > Giga Drain

Sandstorm for three rounds, Reflect (Embirch) for one action.

Drill Claw is a prick, digging up the gym just to dodge... C'MON, FIGHT LIKE A MAN! He evades another Leech Seed, then surfaces to strike with another Earthquake now that Reflect has worn off. Gary promptly sets up another, which is pretty sensible. Then there's more digging, and more missing. BOO. DO SOMETHING MORE INTERESTING, GUYS.

Status: Fine

Sandstorm for two rounds, Reflect (Embirch) for four actions.

OK I assume it's my turn to go first so here it goes:
Earthquake-Earthquake-Earthquake (yeah I'm soooo skilled).
Sub: If Gary uses GIGA DRAIN, then use evasive dig.

Yes, you're right about ordering first. You get the hang of the orders things work around here pretty quick, but I should really remember to specify anyway -_-

Drill Claw (Sand Rush + Sand Force)
HP: 34
Energy: 51
Speed: 79
Status: 2nd degree burn (2 DPA), -3 BAP to attacks using its claws

No more digging like a pussy! YAY! Instead, there is MANLY EARTHQUAKE SPAM. Gary finally gets his seeds off on Drill Claw. MOAR EARTHQUAKE. Gary chills like the cool bro he is. ... I just realised, once he becomes Pyroak, he will be Gary Oak. OHHH, I GET IT NOW! Derp. Meanwhile EARTHQUAKE. And then a flaming kanji explodes on Drill Claw. This is cool. But with all that and the passive damage, Drill Claw is on his last legs, he won't even survive the next action due to passive damage!

Calcs:
Drilbur used Earthquake (12 damage, 6 energy)
Embirch used Leech Seed (9 energy)

Drill Claw spins into Gary, ridding himself of the seeds at the same time as the Embirch chills. He proceeds to celebrate at having escaped a leeching death... Then collapses as the burn damage gets to him. Can you say fail?
