[OVERVIEW]

Diancie's typing is unique and backed up by incredible defenses, allowing it to take hits from prominent threats in the tier such as Mega Absol, Hydreigon, and Entei. It also has decent offensive stats and coverage that allow it to not be complete setup bait to most Pokemon, as well as a lot of tools to use to work as an effective Trick Room setter. Diancie's STAB Diamond Storm and access to Stealth Rock give it offensive pressure against common Defoggers. On the downside, some Pokemon still take advantage of it, like Suicune and Feraligatr. Diancie also has low Speed and no priority, allowing it to get picked off quite easily by the likes of Roserade, Mega Sceptile, and Mega Blastoise. Its typing, while unique and useful, leaves it with many weaknesses to Pokemon like Nidoqueen and Roserade, as well as a glaring 4x weakness to Steel-type attacks.

Moves
========

Trick Room allows Diancie and slower teammates to get the edge against faster Pokemon. Stealth Rock gives Diancie another purpose other than Trick Room and gives the team a Stealth Rock setter, allowing it to break Focus Sash and Sturdy and get chip damage in. Explosion allows Diancie to KO itself while doing massive damage to the foe, letting teammates utilize the maximum number of Trick Room turns. Moonblast is a very spammable STAB move that allows Diancie to hit Dark-types such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon. Diamond Storm is Diancie's highest-damaging move and hits Flying-types such as Mandibuzz and Zapdos as well as specially defensive Pokemon such as Florges and Hoopa.

Set Details
========

Life Orb boosts the power of all of Diancie's attacks. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, but it allows it to not get harmed by random defense drops or Intimidate. A Brave nature boosts the power of Diamond Storm and Explosion and lowers Diancie's Speed, meaning it outspeeds neutral-natured Slowking in Trick Room. Maximum Attack and Special Attack investment allows Diancie to hit as hard as possible. Running 0 Speed IVs makes Diancie as slow as possible, allowing it to outspeed most offensive threats in Trick Room. Mental Herb protects Diancie from Taunt once so it can always set up Trick Room. 252 EVs can be taken from either Special Attack or Attack and added in HP to allow Diancie to take hits better.

Usage Tips
========

Diancie is usually played as a lead for Trick Room teams unless the opponent has a suicide lead, Empoleon, or Tentacruel. Diancie should optimize the order of its moves by using Stealth Rock first and then Trick Room; this way you don't waste a turn of Trick Room. If Diancie cannot take two hits from the opposing Pokemon, it can either switch out or set up Trick Room and use Explosion. Diamond Storm should only be used if it hits the opposing Pokemon super effectively, unless that Pokemon is faster and can OHKO Diancie. Opposing Taunt leads are an exception to not using Diamond Storm; for example, if Diancie is facing Azelf, using Diamond Storm prevents it from wasting a turn if Azelf uses Taunt.

Team Options
========

The main reason to use this set is to support slower, hard-hitting Pokemon such as Pangoro, Crawdaunt, Dragalge, and Machamp. Mega Camerupt and other slow Fire-types help to remove Steel-types that trouble Diancie, while Crawdaunt can deal with Ground-types like Nidoking and Mamoswine. Diancie can apply offensive pressure once it activates Trick Room, but it does like to have Pokemon that back it up. Ground- and Fire-types deal with Diancie's Steel weakness quite well, and the latter can also deal with Grass-types that threaten Diancie. Diancie also likes fellow Trick Room setters such as Porygon2, Cresselia, and Aromatisse to help keep Trick Room up. Bronzong can complement Diancie a lot, resisting Grass- and Steel-type attacks while also being immune to Ground-type attacks thanks to Levitate. Diancie can cover Bronzong's Dark and Fire weaknesses extremely well in return.

[SET]
name: Defensive
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Heal Bell
move 3: Diamond Storm
move 4: Moonblast
item: Leftovers
ability: Clear Body
nature: Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stealth Rock allows for chip damage on opposing Pokemon. Heal Bell provides status removal support for Diancie and its team. Heal Bell also allows Diancie to deal with Entei's Sacred Fire better by removing potential burns. Diamond Storm is useful for pressuring Flying-type Defoggers such as Zapdos, Crobat, and Mandibuzz. Moonblast lets Diancie hit Dark-types such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon, as well as Dragon-types and Fighting-types.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery and is needed in order to take hits. Maximum HP and Defense investment allows Diancie to take on a lot of physical threats such as Entei and Toxicroak. The EVs can be shifted around to benefit your team better. For example, you can add more Special Defense investment if you already have a bulky Water-type to take on Fire-types. A Relaxed nature boosts Diancie's Defense and doesn't take away from any of its other important stats.

Usage Tips
========

Keeping Diancie healthy so it can check what's needed is really important. This requires keeping entry hazards off the field and making sure that if it does receive damage, it is getting healed back up with Wish from teammates. In most situations, Diancie can switch into Defoggers such as Zapdos and Mandibuzz and continue to apply pressure with Diamond Storm or reset Stealth Rock. If Diancie is not needed for any real important reason later in the match, it can be sent out to try to dish some damage against foes before it goes down. Be careful to not let your opponent take advantage of Diancie, though, as there are some Pokemon that can use that opportunity to set up, like Doublade and Reuniclus.

Team Options
========

Diancie heavily appreciates Wish support due to its lack of reliable recovery. Pokemon that can provide this are Alomomola and Blissey. Diancie's fits well on defensive teams because it can compress many roles. To put it simply, if you need a defensive Fairy-type, a Stealth Rock setter, a Heal Bell cleric, and a Fire-resistant Pokemon all in one, Diancie can fit your team very well. Outside of that, it faces competition from Florges and Whimsicott as a supportive Fairy-type. Diancie also requires Pokemon that take on Steel- and Ground-types, such as Swampert and Chesnaught. It struggles to do anything against the likes of Tentacruel and Empoleon, so having a teammate that can take on both of these Pokemon is excellent. Toxicroak isn't scared of anything they can throw out, Electric-types like Zapdos and Heliolisk can usually scare them off or get a KO, and strong Ground-types (preferably Ground-types that aren't weak to Scald) can also force both of these Pokemon out.

[SET]
name: Bulky Attacker
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Moonblast
move 3: Diamond Storm
move 4: Earth Power / Protect
item: Leftovers
ability: Clear Body
nature: Quiet
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stealth Rock makes Diancie a nice offensive entry hazard setter and can also help it get certain KOs. Moonblast is Diancie's best special STAB move that hits Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types, outright OHKOing Hydreigon. Diamond Storm helps to hit Flying-, Fire-, and Ice-types such as Salamence, Rotom-H, and Froslass. Earth Power is a nice alternative to hit Steel-types that try to switch in, such as Doublade and Aggron, and Fire-types if Diancie gets burned.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery outside of Rest and helps with its longevity. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, but it allows it to not lose any offensive power from Intimidate or random stat drops. 252 HP EVs allow Diancie to take attacks better, which is very important, as Diancie doesn't have reliable recovery. 252 Special Attack EVs in tandem with a Quiet nature allow Diancie to OHKO non-defensive variants of Salamence as well as increase its overall damage output. A Quiet nature is used because Diancie doesn't want to cut away from its bulk or make Diamond Storm weaker, and it already has mediocre Speed anyways.

Usage Tips
========

For the most part, Diancie doesn't have a lot of offensive presence against anything that it doesn't hit super effectively. Don't give up free turns to Pokemon Diancie cannot do too much damage to such as Snorlax and Suicune, as it becomes setup fodder. Earth Power should be used to catch incoming Steel-type switch-ins. Although Diancie can OHKO Salamence, it must be wary of the occasional Iron Tail variants. It should also be wary of Life Orb and Earthquake variants if weakened. Diancie can struggle to find switch in opportunities on occasion, but its best opportunities are on Choice-locked Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Darmanitan.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that have good matchups against Steel-types like Swampert, Cobalion, and Krookodile aid against Diancie's biggest bane. Diancie is very susceptible to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, so having good entry hazard control is key to its longevity. Diancie can handle Fire-types pretty solidly, so teammates such as Mega Abomasnow and Shaymin can come in more safely, and in return, they can remove Water-types that threaten Diancie. Fire-types such as Arcanine and Entei help to remove Grass-types that can punish Diancie. Since Diancie has no recovery outside of Leftovers, which can be removed with Knock Off, Wish support from Pokemon like Alomomola and Blissey can help out. Diancie helps against opposing Dragon-types, so the likes of Salamence, Mega Sceptile, and Kyurem can take advantage of that. Diancie fits best onto bulky offensive teams due to its ability to check and counter a plethora of things. Cleric support helps Diancie, as it doesn't possess reliable recovery and tends to not carry Heal Bell, meaning it gets crippled by status. Pokemon such as Alomomola and Umbreon can perform this role.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Calm Mind and Rest + Sleep Talk can be used, but such a set competes with Florges, which has a less exploitable weakness. However, Diancie does have the perk of being able to take on Entei and Crobat better. A dual screens set can work but is more effectively pulled off by other Pokemon such as Cresselia and Azelf. Rock Polish can be used to attempt a sweep; however, Diancie still has a rather bad Speed tier and only decent attack power, meaning it's not enough to be getting the KOs it would need. A more physically inclined set running Custap Berry with Explosion rather than Earth Power or Protect works on offensive teams. Magnet Rise can be used to avoid Ground-type attacks such as Earthquake and Earth Power; however, Diancie is too slow to pull this trick off effectively. Sharpen can be used to boost the power of Diamond Storm, but with the plentiful Steel-types in the tier, this becomes useless most of the time. Weakness Policy can be used to take advantage of Diancie's high defenses; however, it requires Diancie to take a super effective hit and is only worth using on Trick Room sets due to its low Speed.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types often give Diancie the most trouble because of the obvious 4x weakness. They resist all of Diancie's STAB attacks and take little damage from Explosion. The only thing they have to be wary of is Earth Power, which will most likely not OHKO them, and Pokemon threatening Diancie will most likely be faster. Pokemon such as Forretress and Mega Aggron have a much easier time switching into Diancie than Pokemon such as Cobalion and Doublade, which get crippled quite easily.

**Water-types**: Water-types can scare Diancie in a multitude of ways. Offensive Pokemon such as Mega Sharpedo and Feraligatr threaten an OHKO, while some Pokemon like Mega Swampert and Suicune can use it to set up Rain Dance and Calm Mind, respectively.

**Residual Damage**: As Diancie lacks any form of recovery, status effects and entry hazards can wear it down with ease. Toxic Spikes is a real thorn in its side, as it puts a timer on how long Diancie can stay in.

Just a few thoughts

Mental Herb could definitely be an option on the Trick Room set especially because it helps against Taunters like Azelf. In that case the move order would change to Trick Room, SR, Explosion though. Perhaps it could be mentioned in set details or other options.

An OTR set could also probably be mentioned? Something along the lines of Trick Room / Moonblast / Earth Power / Diamond Storm | Stealth Rock.

One last thing. Crocie might deserve a mention in OO. Yes it's largely outclassed by Florges however it doesnt rely on synthesis for recovery (which is considerably more shoddy) and it is also able to beat certain mons that florges cannot such as entei and crobat. Also provides the calm mind set with recovery at the cost of coverage.

I'll let QC approve of the first two but the last on I meant to put in. thanks for the catch

For the first set, Moonblast should be rhe main move with Explosion slashed after Stealth Rock. Life Orb is the primary item but Mental Herb and Shuca Berry can be mentioned in Set Details. Normal Gem is simply inferior to Life Orb. When I used this set back in XY, max Atk and SAtk Quiet worked well; off the top of my head I know max Attack LO Diamond Storm 2HKOs Bold Florges after rocks and is very useful for CurseLax and other specially bulky stuff, while max SAtk Moonblast hits Waters really hard and is super spammable in general.

The second set doesn't need max Attack, since Diamond Storm hits all its offensive targets very hard even without investment, so those EVs can be shifted to HP. The last slot should be Earth Power / Protect as most Toxic targets are hit hard enough by Moonblast.

Suicune can be changed to just "Water types" I'm C&C since defensive ones can stomach its hits well enough and offensive ones check it easily. Also Taunt shouldn't really go there as common users (Crobat, Aero, Azelf, Mandibuzz, Sableye) are threatened by its STABs. "Steel-types" could be expanded on by listing some individually, like Empoleon Mega Aggron/Steelix and Forry can switch in decently while Doublade is whittled hard by Moonblast and Cobalion takes over half from Moomblast on switchin.

Okay, I am going to start contributing to helping out with Analyses, so I am going to suggest some changes.

For the first set, I think under Team Options, Bronzong could maybe get a mention for resisting steel, grass, and being immune to ground, as it can set or benefit from TR while synergizing well with Diancie.

On the second set, Hazard control mons should be put in Team Options, as Diancie is suspectable to spikes and toxic spikes.

In OO, I could possibly see there being a Weakness Policy Offensive TR set, sort of like Cyndequil said. Maybe if OTR is an actually set for the anaylsis, maybe slash Weakness Policy.

Under C&C I think Bulky Set Up Sweepers could be on there, as Diancie doesnt have too much attacking power, and mons that resist can set up easily. These include Coballion, Mega-Swampert, Reuniclus, Gyarados, etc.

Just a few thoughts :)

I added everything you said Dodmen and LittleRunnerXC except for the bulky set-up sweepers part, I'll await for C&C approval on that

Hey, I'll do a full check in a few hours once I get out of class but something that I want to mention now is that Custap berry is actually awesome on Diancie. It's good bulk means you can usually check something once and force it out. Afterwards you can come in on it a second time, use the custap and take it out with a surprise. In general, I've found Diancie to be the most consistent pokemon to use custap berry on, at least for me.

note: ive always used explosion on every diancie thus far.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Typing allows it to take hits from prominent threats in the tier such as Mega Beedrill, Hydreigon, and Entei.
    idk if beedrill needs to be mentioned as it nearly gets 2hkod by poison jab from full and only dodges it because of lefties.
  • Typing leaves it very weak to other top threats unfortunately like Suicune, Shaymin and Nidoqueen but is very weak to any steel-type.
    this is just worded strange, I'm sure you'll fix it in the writeup.
  • Incredible base 150 defenses that allow it to sponge many hits.
  • Decent offensive stats and coverage allows it to not be complete set up bait to most pokemon.
  • Some pokemon still take advantage of it like Suicune and Feraligatr.
  • Has the tools to be an efficient Trick Room setter.
  • Low speed and no priority allowing it to get picked off quite easily

  • Life Orb boost the power of all of Diancie's attacks
  • Clear Body is Diancie's only ability but it allows it to not get screwed over by random defense drops or Intimidate.
  • Brave nature boost the power of Diamond Storm and Explosion and lowers the speed meaning you outspeed neutral nature Slowking in Trick Room.
  • Max attack and special attack investment allows Diancie to hit as hard as possible.
  • 0 Speed IVs makes Diancie as slow as possible.

Usage Tips
========

  • Diancie is usually played as a lead for Trick Room style teams.
  • Diance should optimize the order of its moves in using Stealth Rock, Trick Room, then Explosion. This maximizes the amount of Trick Room turns.
  • If Diancie can not take two hits from the pokemon in front of it, it can either switch out or set up Trick Room and use Explosion.
  • Diamond Storm should only be used if it hits the pokemon in front of it super effectively except when that pokemon is faster and can OHKO Diancie.
  • Taunt leads are another exception to use Diamond Storm like when against Azelf.
  • Diancie is extremely expendable as long as it gets Trick Room up.

Moves
========

  • Stealth Rocks makes Diancie a nice offensive hazard setter which can also help it to get some certain KOs
  • Moonblast is Diancie's best special STAB that hits fighting, dark and dragon-types as well as straight out OHKOing Hydreigon.
  • Diamond Storm helps to hit flying-types as well as fire and ice types such as Rotom-Heat, Frosslass, and Salamence.
  • Earth Power is a nice alternative to hit steel-types that try to switch in such as Doublade and Aggron and well as hit fire types still if Diancie gets burned.
  • Protect can be used to help scout against Pokemon who may lock themselves into a move like Choice Band Crawdaunt and Choice Specs Shaymin as well as regaining a slight amount of Leftovers recovery.
  • Toxic can help to cripple walls that may try to switch in such as Blastoise, Swampert and Thick Fat Snorlax.
    Possibly mention a physically inclined set with Explosion in 4th slot and a resist berry or custap berry. Diancie's health is pretty easy to maneuver down to 25% and a fast explosion can be really nice on offensive teams.

Set Details
========

  • Leftovers is Diancie's only recovery outside of Rest
  • Clear Body is Diancie's only ability but it allows it to not loose any offensive power from Intimidate or Moonblast drops.
  • 252 HP allows Diancie to take damage better which is very important as Diancie doesn't have reliable recovery.

  • Diancie doesn't have a lot of offensive pressence against anything that it doesn't hit super effectively for the most part. Don't give up free turns to pokemon you can not do to much damage to such as Snorlax or Suicune as it becomes set-up fodder.
  • Diancie should really prioritize Stealth Rock first rather than attacking as that is its main role unless the damage from Stealth Rock doesn't give your team much of a benefit.
  • Earth Power should not be used against steel-types who are already in. This is only used to get chip damage on incoming switch ins or on riskier terms predicting Stealth Rock or Defog.
  • Although Diancie can OHKO Salamence it must be weary of the occasional Iron Tail variants.
    You have to be wary of EQ variants as well, especially Life Orb.
  • Diancie can struggle to find switch ins on occasions but its best opportunities are on choice locked pokemon such as Hydreigon or Chandelure.

Team Options

  • Pokemon that remove steel-types for Diancie like Swampert, Cobalion and Krookodile.
  • Diancie is very susceptible to Spikes and Toxic Spikes so having good hazard control is key to Diancie's longevity.
  • Diancie can handle fire-types pretty surely so team mates such as Abomasnow and Shaymin can come in more safely and in return they can remove water-types that threaten Diancie.
  • Fire-types help to remove grass-types that can punish Diancie. Some examples are Arcanine and Entei.
  • Since Diancie has no recovery outside of Leftovers, which can be Knocked Off, Wish support from pokemon like Alomomola and Blissey can help out.
  • Diancie helps against opposing dragon-types so try bringing some of your own like Salamence, Mega Sceptlle and and Kyurem.
  • Diancie fits best onto Bulky Offensive teams due to its ability to check and counter a plethora of things.
    Mention Cleric support, especially when running Protect. Diancie gets burned by Entei a lot and Protect becomes a huge waste of a slot if you're just draining yourself of HP when you click it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Calm Mind + RestTalk can be used but it it competes with Florges. Diancie does have the perk of being able to take on Entei and Crobat better which can make it a viable option.

  • Dual screens set can work but is more effectively pulled off by other pokemon.
  • Rock Polish can be used to try and sweep but Diancie still has a rather bad speed and only good attack power but not enough to be getting the KOs it would need.
  • Magnet Rise can be used to avoid ground attacks like Earthquake and Earth Power but it is usually to slow to pull off effectively.

**Spikes and Toxic Spikes** These can wear down Diancie a lot just for coming in. Although Diancie can scare some Toxic Spike users it is complete set up bait by Spike users like Forretress and Roserade.

**Wall breakers** Pokemon such as Mega-Blastoise, Choice Specs Kyurem and Mega Swampert can all severely damage Diancie as a bulky attacker.

Written and fixed the error. In the overview I added a sentence on how Diamond Storm pressures Deffogers which helps Diancie as a hazard setter.

yo, not giving this a full check 'cause I don't have that much experience with Diancie, but make this a set please (dodmen agrees):

[SET]
name: Defensive
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Heal Bell
move 3: Diamond Storm
move 4: Moonblast
item: Leftovers
ability: Clear Body
nature: Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

quite similar to the second set, but it plays a different role by being a more solid check to threats such as Entei (thanks to Heal Bell an a colossal defense stat), Hydreigon and most Salamence on fat teams that require the role compression ability it provides. it gets SR up consistently against teams that rely on Flying-type Defog users such as Salamence, Zapdos, Mandibuzz and Crobat and provides Heal Bell support too.

stuff worth mentioning: how can you tweak the EV spread to handle specific threats better (i.e. if you're already using a solid Entei check like Alomomola or Suicune and feel that some Special Defense could come in handy) and how well it pairs up with Alomomola (Heal Bell + Wish + Stealth Rock support in 2 slots, really nifty for stall teams) and Pokemon that can exploit Tentacruel and Empoleon switch ins (Toxicroak, Electric-types, strong Ground-types)

rest of the analysis: still not sold on Trick Room's EV spread, but dodmen says it's ok so I'll trust his judgment (I prefer 252 HP / 252 Atk, personally). remove the "w/ Stealth Rocks" off the second set's name and order the sets like this: Trick Room > Defensive > Bulky Attacker

love Mega Pangoro, man.

lazy formatting/wording because i was looking over the analysis with wordpad besides it. hope you don't mind

Trick Room:
  • mention mental herb as a possible item in set details
  • 252 hp over one of the offensive stats too if you need it to tank anything relevant for your team (mention that)
  • usage tips could get reworked a bit or maybe just reworded slightly better (i.e. leading diancie isn't optimal vs suicide leads or teams with empoleon/tentacruel for example)
Defensive:
  • give more examples all around (i.e. doublade as a mon that can set up on defensive diancie)
  • remove protect mention in moves
  • diancie also faces competition from whimsicott, moreso than florg imo
  • it also doesn't require wish support that much. it's heavily appreciated but you can slap it on more offensive balance squads as a glue and it'll still work nicely as an initial entei/hydreigon switch in a couple of times as long as you control hazards properly
Bulky Attacker:
  • remove toxic from moves. a lot of common diancie switch ins couldn't care less about it (mostly steel-types). lax can rest it off and pert/blastoise already get hit hard enough by moonblast.
  • i'd consider removing protect too. this set's goal is hitting stuff hard af in general and earth power does a hella good job covering stuff diancie usually dislikes being matched up against (again, mostly steel-types)
  • usage tips could use A LOT of work. you can get chip damage on a lot of stuff you don't hit for super effective damage, for reference. prioritizing rocks isn't always the best play either, but that's subjective and depends on how the game plays out
  • you don't wanna bring diancie in on choice chandelure, especially considering you have 0 special defense investment. shadow ball/energy ball are doing a fuckload and so is fire blast it we're talking about specs chandy
  • "Pokemon that remove steel-types for Diancie like Swampert, Cobalion and Krookodile." - this line is really awkward. the only mon that can "remove" stuff out of those 3 is krook and the only steel-types it's gonna trap are bronzong/metagross/weakened doublade. rephrase it imo
Misc:
  • remove wall breakers from c&c. toise and pert fit in the water-type slot and kyurem is shaky af as a diancie answer for obvious reasons. no mention of empoleon is kinda weird too because that can actually remove diancie's rocks off the field
  • rename spikes and toxic spikes to residual damage and reword stuff accordingly
I'd usually give a QC check after all of that, but I feel that there's still a lot of stuff that is looking kind of shaky (mostly related to the way you put your thoughts into words), even though a lot of it could be improved through GP checking anyway. Hit me up whenever you implement all of my changes and I'll look over this once more

lazy formatting/wording because i was looking over the analysis with wordpad besides it. hope you don't mind

Trick Room:

  • 252 hp over one of the offensive stats too if you need it to tank anything relevant for your team (mention that)
  • usage tips could get reworked a bit or maybe just reworded slightly better (i.e. leading diancie isn't optimal vs suicide leads or teams with empoleon/tentacruel for example)
Defensive:
  • give more examples all around (i.e. doublade as a mon that can set up on defensive diancie)
  • remove protect mention in moves
  • diancie also faces competition from whimsicott, moreso than florg imo

TR:
Diancie is extremely expendable as long as it gets Trick Room up. <- remove this sentence
I'd make Explosion the first slash over Stealth Rock because TR as a playstyle in general has some better SR setters (mostly Bronzong, but also Camerupt which doesn't really need all 4 slots for offensive options), which means you can afford to run Explosion

Defensive:
Mention other things you can do with Heal Bell (aka allowing you to play more recklessly around Scald spam and healing off teammates in general)
Give less emphasis on Wish support in Team options.

Attacker:
"Diancie should really prioritize Stealth Rock first rather than attacking as that is its main role unless the damage from Stealth Rock doesn't give your team much of a benefit." <- remove this sentence
"Earth Power should not be used against steel-types who are already in. This is only used to get chip damage on incoming switch ins or on riskier terms predicting Stealth Rock or Defog." <- edit this sentence to something along the lines of: "Earth Power should be used to catch incoming Steel-type switch ins"; the way you have it worded right now is quite awkward

Still looking quite shaky from a grammatical standpoint, but that's not within my domain, so I'm giving this its 3rd check.

Diancie's amazing (wouldn't really call it amazing, just unique, but if you really want to keep it go ahead) typing is very unique and is backed up by incredible defenses, thus allowing allows it to take hits from prominent threats in the tier such as Mega Absol, Hydreigon, and Entei. , back upped with incredible base 150 defenses. Diancie also has decent offensive stats and coverage that allows it to not be complete setup (remove space) bait to most pokemon Pokemon. Diancie also has a lot of tools to use to work as an effective Trick Room Setter setter. Diancie's main STAB move, (AC) Diamond Storm, (AC) and access to Stealth Rock gives it offensive pressure against common Deffogers. On the down side, some pokemon Pokemon still take advantage of it, (AC) like such as Suicune and Feraligatr. Diancie also has low speed and no priority, (AC) allowing it to get picked off quite easily. (Probably add examples here, like gyarados, ferali, etc, or merge it with the sentence before since they say similar things, the latter is probably the better option, something like "Diancie's low Speed and lack of reliable recovery allows certain Pokemon such as --- to take advantage of it / revenge kill it" or something) It's Its typing, (AC) while unique and useful, leaves it open to with many weaknesses to Pokemon like such as Nidoqueen and Roserade, as well as having a glaring four times times four weakness to Steel-types attacks.

Moves

Trick Room is the main purpose of this set, (AC) allowing Diancie and slower teammates to get the edge against faster Pokemon. Stealth Rock gives Diancie another purpose other than Trick Room and also gives the team a Stealth Rock setter, (AC) allowing it to break Focus Sash and Sturdy as well as and get chip damage in. Explosion allows Diancie to exit as fast as possible KO itself while doing massive damage to the foe, giving teammates the maximum amount of Trick Room turns and at the same time denting the opposing Pokemon. Moonblast is a very spammable STAB move that allows Diancie to hit Dark-types such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon. Diamond Storm is Diancie's highest-damaging move and hits Flying-types like such as Mandibuzz and Zapdos as well as specially defensive inclined Pokemon like such as Florges and Hoopa.

Set Details
========

Life Orb boost the power of all of Diancie's attacks. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability but it allows it to not get screwed over harmed by random defense drops or Intimidate. Brave nature boost the power of Diamond Storm and Explosion and lowers the its Speed, (AC) meaning you outspeed neutral natured Slowking in Trick Room. Maximum attack and special attack investment allows Diancie to hit as hard as possible. 0 Speed IVs makes Diancie as slow as possible, allowing it to outspeed most offensive threats in Trick Room. (Clarification is needed here, word that last part however you want to) Mental Herb allows Diancie to not be affected by Taunt once so it can always set up Trick Room. 252 EVs can be taken from either Special Attack or Attack and added in HP to allow Diancie to take hits.

Usage Tips
========

Diancie is usually played as a lead for Trick Room style teams unless there is a suicide lead or Empoleon and Tentacruel.. Diance should optimize the order of its moves in by using Stealth Rock first and then Trick Room, (RC). This way you don't waste a turn of Trick Room. If Diancie can not take two hits from the pokemon Pokemon in front of it, it can either switch out or set up Trick Room and use Explosion. Diamond Storm should only be used if it hits the pokemon Pokemon in front of it super effectively, (AC) except when that pokemon Pokemon is faster and can OHKO Diancie. Opposing Taunt leads are another exception to use Diamond Storm; (SC) For example, if Diancie is facing an Azelf, using Diamond Storm prevents it from wasting a turn if it uses Taunt. like when against Azelf.

Team Options
========

The main reason to use this set is to support slower, hard-hitting pokemon Pokemon like such as Pangoro, Crawdaunt, Dragalge, Machamp, and other slow hard-hitting Pokemon. Mega Camerupt and other slower Fire-types help to remove Steel-types that trouble Diancie, while on the other hand, (AC) Crawdaunt can deal with Ground-types (such as?). Diancie can apply offensive pressure once it starts getting activates Trick Room, (AC) but it does like to have pokemon Pokemon that back it up. Ground- (add hyphen) and Fire-types deal with Diancie's Steel weakness quite well, (AC) as and the latter can also deal with Grass-types that threaten Diancie. Diancie also likes fellow Trick Room setters like such as Porygon-2 Porygon2, Cresselia, and Aromatisse to help keep Trick Room up. Bronzong can compliment Diancie a lot, (AC) resisting Grass- (add hyphen) and Steel-types attacks while also being immune to Ground-types attacks thanks to Levitate. Diancie can also cover Bronzong's Dark- (add hyphen) and Fire- (add hyphen) weaknesses extremely well.

Moves

Stealth Rock allows for you to get chip damage on opponents opposing Pokemon. Heal Bell provides status removal support for yourself and your team. Heal Bell also allows Diancie to deal with Entei better. (Again, here you could probably use some more clarification, maybe add "as Sacred Fire's burn chance can leave Diancie crippled" or something. This is kinda just for the sake of newer users) Diamond Storm is used for pressuring Flying-type Deffogers such as Zapdos, Crobat, and Mandibuzz. Moonblast gives Diancie makes it so Diancie can hit Dark-types like such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon as well as Dragons-types (add hyphen) and Fighting-types.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery which is needed in order to take hits. Maximum HP and Defense investment allows Diancie to take on a lot of physical threats like such as Entei and Toxicroak. The EVs can be shifted around to benefit your team better. For example, (AC) you can add more Special Defense investment if you already have a bulky Water-types to take on Fire-types. (doesn't diancie already handle fire-types? ground-types would be better here imo) A Relaxed nature boosts the Diancie's Defense and doesn't take away from any of Diancie its other beneficial stats.

Usage Tips
========

Keeping Diancie healthy so it can check whats what's needed is really important. This means requires keeping hazards off the field and making sure that if it does receive damage, it is getting healed back up with Wish from other teammates (remove space). In most situations, (AC) Diancie can switch into Deffogers like such as Zapdos and Mandibuzz and continue to apply pressure with Diamond Storm or reset Stealth Rock. If Diancie is not needed for any real important reason later in the match, then Diancie it can be sent out and try to dish some damage against opponents before it goes down. (RC, add period) Be careful to bot not let your opponent abuse Diancie though, (AC) as there are some Pokemon who that can use that opportunity to setup (remove space) like Doublade and Reuniclus.

Team Options
========

Diancie heavily appreaciates appreciates Wish support desperatelyy due to its lack of reliable recovery (just a little clarification here as well). Pokemon who that can provide this are Alomomola and Blissey. Diancie's role of on defensive oriented teams in is meant to be compressed. Basically To put it simply, if you need a defensive Fairy-type, Stealth Rocker, (AC) and Heal Bell cleric, and a Fire-resist all in one, then Diancie can fit your team very well. Outside of that, (AC) it faces competition from Florges and Whimsicott (why?). Diancie also requires Pokemon that take on Steel- (add hyphen) and Ground-types like such as Swampert and Chesnaught. Diancie also struggles to do anything against the likes of Tentacruel and Empoleon, two hazard removers, so having a pokemon teammate that can take on both of these pokemon are Pokemon is excellent. Toxicroak isn't feared scared by anything they can throw out, Electric-types (such as) can usually scare them off or get a kill KO, and strong Ground-types (preferably Ground-types that aren't weak to Scald) can also scare both of these Pokemon off.

Moves

Stealth Rocks makes Diancie a nice offensive hazard setter which can also help it to get some certain KOs. Moonblast is Diancie's best special STAB that hits Fighting-, (add hyphen) Dark-, (AC, add hyphen) and Dragon-types as well as straight out OHKOing Hydreigon. Diamond Storm helps to hit Flying-types, (AC) as well as Fire-, (add hyphen, AC) and Ice-types (add hyphen) such as Rotom-Heat, Frosslass, and Salamence. Earth Power is a nice alternative to hit Steel-types that try to switch in, (AC) such as Doublade and Aggron, (AC) and well as hit Fire-types still if Diancie gets burned.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only recovery outside of Rest which helps with its longevity. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, (AC) but it allows it to not loose lose any offensive power from Intimidate or Moonblast random stat drops. 252 HP allows Diancie to take damage attacks better, (AC) which is very important as Diancie doesn't have reliable recovery. 252 Special Attack EVs plus in tandem with a Quiet nature allow you to OHKO non-defensive (add hyphen) variants of Salamence variants as well as increase your overall damage output overall. A Quiet nature is used since because Diancie doesn't want to cut away from its bulk nor make Diamond Storm weaker, (AC) and Diancie it already has pretty mediocre Speed anyways.

Usage Tips
========

For the most part, Diancie doesn't have a lot of offensive pressence presence against anything that it doesn't hit super effectively for the most part. Don't give up free turns to pokemon Pokemon you can not do to much damage to such as Snorlax or Suicune, (AC) as it becomes setup (remove hyphen) fodder. Earth Power should be used to catch incoming Steel-type switch ins. This is only used to get chip damage on incoming switch ins or, (AC) on riskier terms, (AC) predicting Stealth Rock or Defog. Although Diancie can OHKO Salamence, (AC) it must be weary wary of the occasional Iron Tail variants. It should also be wary of Life Orb and Earthquake variants if Diancie is weakened. Diancie can struggle to find switch ins opportunities on occasions, (AC) but its best opportunities are on choice-locked (add hyphen) pokemon Pokemon such as Hydreigon or Darmanitan.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that have good match ups against Steel-types like Swampert, Cobalion, (AC) and Krookodile aid in Diancie's biggest bane. Diancie is very susceptible to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, (AC) so having good hazard control is key to Diancie's longevity. Diancie can handle Fire-types pretty surely solidly, (AC) so teammates (remove space) such as Abomasnow and Shaymin can come in more safely, (AC) and in return, (AC) they can remove Water-types that threaten Diancie. Fire-types help to remove Grass-types that can punish Diancie. Some examples are Arcanine and Entei. Since Diancie has no recovery outside of Leftovers, which can be removed with Knock Off, Wish support from pokemon Pokemon like such as Alomomola and Blissey can help out. Diancie helps against opposing Dragon-types, so the likes of try bringing some of your own, like Salamence, Mega Sceptlle and and Kyurem can take advantage of that. Diancie fits best onto bulky offensive teams due to its ability to check and counter a plethora of things. Cleric support helps Diancie, (AC) as it doesn't possess reliable recovery and also tends to not carry Heal Bell, (AC) meaning it gets crippled by status. Pokemon such as Alomomola and Umbreon perform this role.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Calm Mind and RestTalk can be used, (AC) but it it competes with Florges. Diancie does have the perk of being able to take on Entei and Crobat better, (AC) which can make it a viable option. A dual screens set can work but is more effectively pulled off by other Pokemon (such as). Rock Polish can be used to try and attempt a sweep; (SC) however, but Diancie still has a rather bad speed tier and only good decent attack power, (AC) but meaning it's not enough to be getting the KOs it would need. A more physically inclined set with Explosion rather than Earth Power or Protect while holding a Custap Berry helps with more offensive teams. (add period) Magnet Rise can be used to avoid Ground-type attacks like such as Earthquake and Earth Power; (SC) however, (AC) but it is usually Diancie is too slow to pull off effectively. Sharpen can be used to boost the power of Diamond Storm, (AC) but with the plentiful amount of Steel-types in the tier, (AC) this becomes useless most of the time. Weakness Policy can be used to abuse Diancie's high defenses; (SC) however, it but requires Diancie it to take a super effective hit and is only worth using on Trick Room sets due to its low speed.

Checks and Counters
===================
(get rid of the bold here)
**Steel-types**: Steel-types often give Diancie the most trouble because of the obvious 4 times four times weakness. (add period) and being able to They resist all of Diancie's STABs attacks as well as take little damage from Explosion. The only thing they have to be wary about of is Earth Power, (AC) which will most likely not OHKO, (AC) and pokemon Pokemon threatening Diancie will most likely be faster. Pokemon like such as Forretress and Mega Aggron have a much easier time switching into Diancie rather than unlike pokemon Pokemon like such as Cobalion and Doublade who get crippled quite easilly easily.

**Water-types**: Water-types can scare Diancie in a multitude of ways. Offensive Pokemon like such as Sharpedo and Feraligatr make Diancie fear threaten an OHKO, (AC) while some pokemon Pokemon like such as Mega Swampert and Suicune can use it to help set up Rain Dance and Calm Mind, (AC) respectively.

**Residual Damage**: As Diancie lacks any form of recovery, (AC) status effects and hazards can wear Diancie down with ease. Toxic Spikes (maybe we can change this to just Poison damage? up to Snobalt) are a real thorn in its side, (AC) as they put Diancie on a timer for how long it can stay in.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery outside of Rest, (AC) which helps with its longevity. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, (AC) but it allows it to not loose lose any offensive power from Intimidate or Moonblast random stat drops. 252 HP EVs allows Diancie to take damage attacks better, (AC) which is very important, (AC) as Diancie doesn't have reliable recovery. 252 Special Attack EVs plus in tandem with (not really a necessary change) a Quiet nature allow you Diancie to OHKO non-defensive (add hyphen) variants of Salamence variants as well as increase your its overall damage output overall. A Quiet nature is used since because ("since" has been freed!) Diancie doesn't want to cut away from its bulk nor make Diamond Storm weaker, (AC) and Diancie it already has pretty mediocre Speed anyways.

Usage Tips
========

For the most part, Diancie doesn't have a lot of offensive pressence presence against anything that it doesn't hit super effectively for the most part. Don't give up free turns to pokemon Pokemon you Diancie can not do to much damage to such as Snorlax or and Suicune, (AC) as it becomes setup (remove hyphen) fodder. Earth Power should be used to catch incoming Steel-type switch-(AH)ins. This is only used to get chip damage on incoming switch-(AH)ins or, (AC) on riskier terms, (AC) predicting Stealth Rock or Defog. (This whole sentence is super confusing. You repeat the same thing about Earth Power, essentially, and I don't see why it should be used when you predict the foe will use Stealth Rock or Defog.) Although Diancie can OHKO Salamence, (AC) it must be weary wary of the occasional Iron Tail variants. It should also be wary of Life Orb and Earthquake variants if Diancie is weakened. Diancie can struggle to find switch ins opportunities on occasions, (AC) but its best opportunities are on choice Choice-locked (add hyphen) pokemon Pokemon such as Hydreigon or and Darmanitan.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that have good match(remove space)ups against Steel-types like Swampert, Cobalion, (AC) and Krookodile aid in Diancie's biggest bane. Diancie is very susceptible to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, (AC) so having good entry hazard control is key to Diancie's longevity. Diancie can handle Fire-types pretty surely solidly, (AC) so teammates (remove space) such as (Mega? I don't recall if regular Snow is viable) Abomasnow and Shaymin can come in more safely, (AC) and in return, (AC) they can remove Water-types that threaten Diancie. Fire-types such as Arcanine and Entei help to remove Grass-types that can punish Diancie. Some examples are Arcanine and Entei. Since Diancie has no recovery outside of Leftovers, which can be removed with Knock Off, Wish support from pokemon Pokemon like such as ("like" is fine here) Alomomola and Blissey can help out. Diancie helps against opposing Dragon-types, so the likes of try bringing some of your own, like Salamence, Mega Sceptlle Sceptile, and and Kyurem can take advantage of that. Diancie fits best onto bulky offensive teams due to its ability to check and counter a plethora of things. Cleric support helps Diancie, (AC) as it doesn't possess reliable recovery and also tends to not carry Heal Bell, (AC) meaning it gets crippled by status. Pokemon such as Alomomola and Umbreon can perform this role.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Calm Mind and Rest + Sleep Talk can be used, (AC) but it such a set it competes with Florges (why?). However, Diancie does have the perk of being able to take on Entei and Crobat better, (AC) which can make it a viable option. A dual screens set can work but is more effectively pulled off by other Pokemon (such as). Rock Polish can be used to try and attempt a sweep; (SC) however, but Diancie still has a rather bad speed Speed tier and only good decent attack power, (AC) but meaning it's not enough to be getting the KOs it would need. A more physically inclined set with Explosion rather than Earth Power or Protect while holding a Custap Berry helps with more (not really a necessary change) offensive teams. Weakness Policy can be used to abuse take advantage of Diancie's high defenses; (SC) however, it but requires Diancie it ("Diancie" is better here) to take a super effective hit and is only worth using on Trick Room sets due to its low speed Speed.

Checks and Counters
===================
(get rid of the bold here)
**Steel-types**: Steel-types often give Diancie the most trouble because of the obvious 4 times four times (again, "4x" is what you're looking for) weakness. (add period) and being able to They resist all of Diancie's STABs attacks as well as and take little damage from Explosion. The only thing they have to be wary about of is Earth Power, (AC) which will most likely not OHKO them, (AC) and pokemon Pokemon threatening Diancie will most likely be faster. Pokemon like such as ("like" is fine) Forretress and Mega Aggron have a much easier time switching into Diancie rather than unlike (keep "than") pokemon Pokemon like such as ("like" is fine) Cobalion and Doublade, which who get crippled quite easilly easily.

**Water-types**: Water-types can scare Diancie in a multitude of ways. Offensive Pokemon like such as ("like" is fine) Sharpedo and Feraligatr make Diancie fear threaten an OHKO, (AC) while some pokemon Pokemon like such as ("like" is fine) Mega Swampert and Suicune can use it to help set up Rain Dance and Calm Mind, (AC) respectively.

**Residual Damage**: As Diancie lacks any form of recovery, (AC) status effects ("effects" is fine) and entry hazards can wear Diancie it down with ease. Toxic Spikes (maybe we can change this to just Poison damage? up to Snobalt) (I mean, Toxic poison in general hurts Diancie a lot, but it's up to the writer to emphasize what he thinks is important) are is a real thorn in its side, (AC) as they it puts ("Spikes" and "Toxic Spikes" are both singular) Diancie on a timer for how long it can stay in.
Pretty solid for your first check, Recreant. Not quite enough for a stamp, but I see potential in this. Will go over it with you as soon as I can.

[OVERVIEW]

Diancie's amazing (wouldn't really call it amazing, just unique, but if you really want to keep it go ahead) typing is very unique and is backed up by incredible defenses, thus allowing allows it to take hits from prominent threats in the tier such as Mega Absol, Hydreigon, and Entei. , back upped with incredible base 150 defenses. Diancie also has decent offensive stats and coverage moves that allows it to not be complete setup (remove space) bait to most pokemon Pokemon. Diancie also has a lot of tools to use to work as an effective Trick Room Setter setter. Diancie's main STAB move, (AC) Diamond Storm, (AC) and access to Stealth Rock gives it offensive pressure against common Deffogers Defoggers. On the down(remove space)side, some pokemon Pokemon still take advantage of it, (AC) like such as ("like" is fine) Suicune and Feraligatr. Diancie also has low speed Speed and no priority, (AC) allowing it to get picked off quite easily. (Probably add examples here, like gyarados, ferali, etc, or merge it with the sentence before since they say similar things, the latter is probably the better option, something like "Diancie's low Speed and lack of reliable recover allows certain Pokemon such as --- to take advantage of it / revenge kill it" or something) It's Its typing, (AC) while unique and useful, leaves it open to with many weaknesses to Pokemon like such as ("like" is fine) Nidoqueen and Roserade, as well as having a glaring four times times four (the correct term is 4x) weakness to Steel-types attacks.

Set Details
========

Life Orb boost the power of all of Diancie's attacks. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, (AC) but it allows it to not get screwed over harmed by random defense Defense drops or Intimidate. A Brave nature boosts the power of Diamond Storm and Explosion and (keep "and" here) lowers the its Speed, (AC) meaning you Diancie outspeeds neutral-(AH)natured Slowking in Trick Room. Maximum attack Attack and special attack Special Attack investment allows Diancie to hit as hard as possible. 0 Speed IVs makes Diancie as slow as possible, allowing it to outspeed most offensive threats in Trick Room. (Clarification is needed here, word that last part however you want to) Mental Herb allows Diancie to not be affected by Taunt once so it can always set up Trick Room. 252 EVs can be taken from either Special Attack or Attack and added in HP to allow Diancie to take hits better.

Usage Tips
========

Diancie is usually played as a lead for Trick Room style teams unless there is a suicide lead or Empoleon and Tentacruel (Clarify here. Are suicide leads/Empoleon/Tentacruel on Diancie's team or the opposing team in this case?).. Diance Diancie should optimize the order of its moves in by using Stealth Rock first and then Trick Room, (RC). This way you don't waste a turn of Trick Room. If Diancie can(remove space)not take two hits from the opposing pokemon Pokemon in front of it, it can either switch out or set up Trick Room and use Explosion. Diamond Storm should only be used if it hits the opposing pokemon Pokemon in front of it super effectively, (AC) except when that pokemon Pokemon is faster and can OHKO Diancie. Opposing Taunt leads are another exception to use not using Diamond Storm; (SC) For example, if Diancie is facing Azelf, using Diamond Storm prevents it from wasting a turn if Azelf uses Taunt. like when against Azelf.

Team Options

The main reason to use this set is to support slower, hard-hitting pokemon Pokemon like such as Pangoro, Crawdaunt, Dragalge, and Machamp, and other slow hard-hitting Pokemon.

Stealth Rock allows for you to get chip damage on opponents opposing Pokemon. Heal Bell provides status removal support for yourself Diancie and your its team. Heal Bell also allows Diancie to deal with Entei better. (Again, here you could probably use some more clarification, maybe add "as Sacred Fire's burn chance can leave Diancie crippled" or something. This is kinda just for the sake of newer users) Diamond Storm is used for pressuring Flying-type Deffogers Defoggers such as Zapdos, Crobat, and Mandibuzz. Moonblast gives Diancie makes it so Diancie can hit Dark-types like such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon, (AC) as well as Dragons-types (add hyphen) and Fighting-types.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery and which is needed in order to take hits.

Usage Tips
========

Keeping Diancie healthy so it can check whats what's needed is really important. This means requires keeping entry hazards off the field and making sure that if it does receive damage, it is getting healed back up with Wish from other teammates (remove space). In most situations, (AC) Diancie can switch into Deffogers Defoggers like such as Zapdos and Mandibuzz and continue to apply pressure with Diamond Storm or reset Stealth Rock. If Diancie is not needed for any real important reason later in the match, then Diancie it can be sent out and try to dish some damage against opponents foes before it goes down. (RC, add period) Be careful to bot not let your opponent abuse take advantage of Diancie, (AC) though, (AC) as there are some Pokemon who that can use that opportunity to setup (remove space) (no, keep the space here. "set up" as a verb is two words. "setup" as an adjective is one word.) like Doublade and Reuniclus.

Team Options
========

Diancie heavily appreaciates appreciates Wish support desperatelyy due to its lack of reliable recovery (just a little clarification here as well). Pokemon who that can provide this are Alomomola and Blissey. Diancie's role of on defensive oriented teams in is meant to be compressed. Basically To put it simply, (Not really a necessary change) if you need a defensive Fairy-type, Stealth Rocker setter, (AC) and Heal Bell cleric, and a Fire-resistant Pokemon all in one, then Diancie can fit your team very well. Outside of that, (AC) it faces competition from Florges and Whimsicott (why?). Diancie also requires Pokemon that take on Steel- (add hyphen) and Ground-types like such as Swampert and Chesnaught. Diancie also struggles to do anything against the likes of Tentacruel and Empoleon, two hazard removers, (I don't see how that's relevant here) so having a pokemon teammate that can take on both of these pokemon are Pokemon is excellent. Toxicroak isn't feared scared by of anything they can throw out, Electric-types (such as) can usually scare them off or get a kill KO, and strong Ground-types (preferably Ground-types that aren't weak to Scald) can also scare force both of these Pokemon off out. It Diancie also struggles to do anything against the likes of Tentacruel and Empoleon, (AC) so having a teammate that can take on both of these Pokemon is excellent. Toxicroak isn't scared of anything they can throw out, Electric-types like Zapdos and Heliolisk can usually scare them off or get a KO, and strong Ground-types (preferably Ground-types that aren't weak to Scald) can also force both of these Pokemon out.

Stealth Rock makes Diancie a nice offensive entry hazard setter and can also help it to get some certain KOs. Moonblast is Diancie's best special STAB move that hits Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types, (AC) as well as outright OHKOing Hydreigon. Diamond Storm helps to hit Flying-, Fire-, and Ice-types such as Salamence, Rotom-H, and Froslass, and Salamence. Earth Power is a nice alternative to hit Steel-types that try to switch in, such as Doublade and Aggron, and Fire-types if Diancie gets burned.

Set Details
========

Leftovers is Diancie's only form of recovery outside of Rest, which and (currently seems like "helps" attaches to Rest) helps with its longevity. A Quiet nature is used because since ("since" in a vacuum is fine, but it needs a comma before it just like as does, and adding one here shifted the tone imo) Diancie doesn't want to cut away from its bulk or make Diamond Storm weaker, and it already has mediocre Speed anyways.

Usage Tips
========

It should also be wary of Life Orb and Earthquake variants if Diancie is weakened. Diancie can struggle to find switch in opportunities on occasion, but its best opportunities are on Choice-locked Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Darmanitan.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that have good matchups against Steel-types like Swampert, Cobalion, and Krookodile aid against in Diancie's biggest bane. Diancie is very susceptible to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, so having good entry hazard control is key to its Diancie's longevity.

=============

Calm Mind and Rest + Sleep Talk can be used, but such a set competes with Florges, which as it has better as it has a less exploitable weakness. However, Diancie does have the perk of being able to take on Entei and Crobat better, which can make it a viable option. A more physically inclined set running Custap Berry with Explosion rather than Earth Power or Protect while holding a Custap Berry helps with (do you mean "on" or "against" here?) more offensive teams. Magnet Rise can be used to avoid Ground-type attacks such as Earthquake and Earth Power; however, Diancie is too slow to pull this trick off effectively. Sharpen can be used to boost the power of Diamond Storm, but with the plentiful amount of Steel-types in the tier, this becomes useless most of the time. Weakness Policy can be used to take advantage of Diancie's high defenses; however, it requires Diancie to take a super effective hit and is only worth using on Trick Room sets due to its low Speed.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Steel-types often give Diancie the most trouble because of the obvious 4x weakness. They resist all of Diancie's STABs attacks and take little damage from Explosion.

Toxic Spikes is a real thorn in its side, as it puts Diancie on a timer for on how long it Diancie can stay in.

GP 2/2
[OVERVIEW]

Diancie's typing is very unique and is backed up by incredible defenses, thus allowing it to take hits from prominent threats in the tier such as Mega Absol, Hydreigon, and Entei. It Diancie also has decent offensive stats and coverage moves that allows it to not be complete setup bait to most Pokemon, as well as. Diancie also has a lot of tools to use to work as an effective Trick Room setter. Diancie's main STAB move, Diamond Storm, (RC) and access to Stealth Rock give it offensive pressure against common Defoggers.

Moves

Trick Room is the main purpose of this set, allowing allows Diancie and slower teammates to get the edge against faster Pokemon. Stealth Rock gives Diancie another purpose other than Trick Room and gives the team a Stealth Rock setter, allowing it to break Focus Sash and Sturdy and get chip damage in. Explosion allows Diancie to KO itself while doing massive damage to the foe, giving letting teammates utilize the maximum amount number of Trick Room turns.

Set Details
========

Life Orb boosts the power of all of Diancie's attacks. Clear Body is Diancie's only ability, but it allows it to not get harmed by random defense (I'm assuming you mean defenses in general here? aka both Defense and Special Defense? if you only meant Defense aka physical defense, keep it capitalized) drops or Intimidate. A Brave nature boosts the power of Diamond Storm and Explosion and lowers its Diancie's Speed, meaning it Diancie outspeeds neutral-natured Slowking in Trick Room. Maximum Attack and Special Attack investment allows Diancie to hit as hard as possible. Running 0 Speed IVs makes Diancie as slow as possible, allowing it to outspeed most offensive threats in Trick Room. Mental Herb protects allows Diancie from to not be affected by Taunt once so it can always set up Trick Room. 252 EVs can be taken from either Special Attack or Attack and added in HP to allow Diancie to take hits better.

Usage Tips
========

Diancie is usually played as a lead for Trick Room teams unless the opponent has a suicide lead or Empoleon and Tentacruel (does this mean unless the opponent has BOTH Empoleon and Tentacruel? so if the opponent only has one of those, Diancie can lead?). Diancie should optimize the order of its moves by using Stealth Rock first and then Trick Room. T; this way, (AC) you don't waste a turn of Trick Room. If Diancie cannot take two hits from the opposing Pokemon, it can either switch out or set up Trick Room and use Explosion. Diamond Storm should only be used if it hits the opposing Pokemon super effectively, except when unless that Pokemon is faster and can OHKO Diancie. Opposing Taunt leads are another (the previous thing was an exception to using Diamond Storm, technically, not an exception to not using Diamond Storm) exception to not using Diamond Storm; for example, if Diancie is facing Azelf, using Diamond Storm prevents it from wasting a turn if Azelf uses Taunt.

Team Options
========

The main reason to use this set is to support slower, hard-hitting Pokemon such as Pangoro, Crawdaunt, Dragalge, and Machamp. Mega Camerupt and other slow Fire-types help to remove Steel-types that trouble Diancie, while on the other hand, Crawdaunt can deal with Ground-types like Nidoking and Mamoswine. Bronzong can compliment complement (compliment = "you're so pretty Diancie!") Diancie a lot, resisting Grass- and Steel-type attacks while also being immune to Ground-type attacks thanks to Levitate. Diancie can also cover Bronzong's Dark and Fire weaknesses extremely well in return.

Stealth Rock allows for chip damage on opposing Pokemon. Heal Bell provides status removal support for Diancie and its team. Heal Bell also allows Diancie to deal with Entei's Sacred Fire better by removing potential being able to remove burns that can happen. Diamond Storm is usedful for pressuring Flying-type Defoggers such as Zapdos, Crobat, and Mandibuzz. Moonblast makes it so lets Diancie can hit Dark-types such as Mega Absol and Hydreigon, (AC) (keep the comma but remove the comments) as well as Dragon-types and Fighting-types.

Set Details
========

A Relaxed nature boosts Diancie's Defense and doesn't take away from any of its other beneficial important stats.

Usage Tips
========

Keeping Diancie healthy so it can check what's needed is really important. This requires keeping entry hazards off the field and making sure that if it does receive damage, it is getting healed back up with Wish from other teammates. In most situations, Diancie can switch into Defoggers such as Zapdos and Mandibuzz and continue to apply pressure with Diamond Storm or reset Stealth Rock. If Diancie is not needed for any real important reason later in the match, then it can be sent out and to try to dish some damage against foes before it goes down. Be careful to not let your opponent take advantage of Diancie, (AC) (keep comma but remove comment) though, as there are some Pokemon that can use that opportunity to set up, like Doublade and Reuniclus.

Team Options
========

Diancie heavily appreciates Wish support due to its lack of reliable recovery. Pokemon that can provide this are Alomomola and Blissey. Diancie's role on defensive teams is meant to be compressed. To put it simply, if you need a defensive Fairy-type, a Stealth Rock setter, a Heal Bell cleric, and a Fire-resistant Pokemon all in one, then Diancie can fit your team very well. Outside of that, it faces competition from Florges and Whimsicott as a supportive Fairy-type. (why is this in Team Options? seems more like a Usage Tips or even Overview thing. not going to tell you to move it cause you might be able to defend it, but just wondering... like, if your point is that Diancie should be used on defensive teams, I feel like that should be emphasized. "Diancie fits well on defensive teams because it can compress many roles. To put it simply..." and then the rest works as is) Diancie also requires Pokemon that take on Steel- and Ground-types, (AC) such as Swampert and Chesnaught.
