Dogfish44 vs Fire Blast

Two trainers find themselves in a strange place, never seen before except perhaps in the wildest nightmares.

Arena: Spirit Spiral. An extradimensional vortex which vaguely resembles space, we battle inside the plane where the dead go, battling on a spiral-shaped rock. It's somewhat fragile, although the centre of gravity is good. Weather will be wierd - Sunlight will be very close, giving 5 radiation damage each action to non poison mons. Rain will bring a storm with it, hitting random pokémon with thunderbolts every 3 actions, from a Rank 2 Sp.atk. Sandstorm will do double damage in the arena center, and half damage when floating more than 5 m off the surface. Hail has the reverse effect.

Finding themselves somewhere between life and death, the two trainers feel they have no other option - they battle!
Issuing the challenge is Dogfish44. It is unknown what happened to the previous 43 Dogfish. Perhaps they had similar fates?

Cizin, my Yamask, take to the stage! And I don't care that it's a floating rock, life's a stage, death's a stage, and the area inbetween it's a god-damned stage!

Hmm, I choose you 007!

Okay, 007, let's start this battle on the offensive with a Night Slash. Then power yourself up with a Swords Dance. Finish with a Shadow Claw to kill that thing again!

If
(Yamask uses Haze on Action 2) Then (Replace Swords Dance with Flamethrower)

Dogfish44, keeping in theme with the arena sends out the Undead Yamask known as Cizin. In response, Fire Blast sends out a Combusken known as 007.
Combusken doesn't chicken out and instead moves first, striking Yamask with a Night Slash. This contact changes his ability, but he doesn't seem to mind. His real concern is Yamask's Power Split, shifting the power balance in theghost's favour.
Responding to his lowered power, 007 begins to dance, talons flying like swords. Cizin uses this chance to begin his own offensive, messing with Combusken's head from afar with Psychic, and lowering his Special Defense!
Angry, combusken goes back in for the kill, this time using Shadow Claw. Yamask uses Psychic again, and it hurts even more than before.

HP: 57
Energy: 83%
-1 SpD, +2 Atk ability changed to mummy for 3 actions

HP: 64
Energy: 75%

edit: Dogfish you are absolutely correct. I counted it in the calcs btw, just forgot to add it on the end.

Shadow Ball ~ Psychic ~ Psychic

IF it will use Mirror Move action one, THEN replace Shadow Ball with Nasty Plot.

Oh, and Jesseus, 007 should be at +2 atk as well.

(The following narration has events out of order for dramatic effect.)

Bruised and battered, both Pokemon look at their foe and decide that they've done enough setting up - it's time to go in for the kill. Combusken charges angrily, flexing his talons in a malicious manner. Yamask begins to retreat, firing two Psychic Waves and a Ball of Shadow in his attempt to slow the bird's advance, but despite his best efforts 007 meets his target with great ferocity, shadow talons striking left right and center, one landing a Critical Hit.
Both Pokemon, still standing but exhausted pause for a second. Combusken's curse lifts briefly and his body starts to glow from his Blaze Ability, but it is unlikely to last.

HP: 8
Energy: 68%
+1 Atk, Blaze Activated

HP: 19
Energy: 52%

Okay, 007, let's start by firing some sand (Sand-Attack) at Yamask. Hopefuly, we can get an some attacks to miss. Then use a Night Slash and Shadow Claw combo, using each hand to use each attack.

If (Yamask uses protect action 1) Then (Use Swords Dance~Sand Attack~Night Slash)

Shadow Ball ~ Psychic ~ Psychic

Thanks to the rules of combos fucking up priority, there's a 15/16 chance of actually hitting you.

Down on his luck, Fire Blast thinks carefully. Conventional tactics are sure to fail, so using his mighty intellect, he begins to to formulate a plan so crazy it might just work...
But doesn't. Yamask shrigs off the sand thrown in his face and finishes 007 off with a Shadow Ball, then throws the fainted body around with Psychic just to be a dick.
And so, in the world between life and death it is ironically the Ghost who returns to the realm of the living...

Good game guys, that's two TC for each of you as well as 1 EC, 1 DC and 2 MC for both Pokemon. Yamask gets a KO counter and I get 2 RC.
