Status
Not open for further replies.
Brandon entered the reffing stand at the ASB Arena, ready to ref another training match. Behind him, his Charmander, Scorchstrike, idly flicked his tail back and forth, bored of waiting for the trainers. While they waited, Brandon quickly reviewed the rules.

Brandon knew that ToastTyrant was going to be in for a tough match; Brandon had learned firsthand just how good Dan was when Dan knocked him out of the Tournament, but at the same time no one was unbeatable, so who knew what would happen. "Hey Scorchstrike, they're starting!" he told his Charmander, who hurried over to watch.

Electronica, Aqualos, you two are up!

Aqualos, this is your first time in a battle as a Gyarados, so you should be alot stronger now. Bite onto Marcia's wings as hard as possible with some ice cold fangs! Once you release her, bounce high into the air and crash down on Mia! Try to aim for her back! After you land on her, try to hit her with a powerful ice fang! Make every action count Aqualos!

Electronica, here's what I need you to do. You're a wee bit faster than Marcia, so hit her with a crippling wave of thunder to make Aqualos' attacks a bit easier to pull off! If things are running smoothly, hit Mia with a blast of your hidden power fire! She might take it a bit too well for our liking, so strike at her again with a tri-attack!

Aqualos-Ice Fang (Togekiss)->Bounce(Roserade)->Ice Fang(Roserade)
Electronica-Thunderwave(Togekiss)->HP Fire(Roserade)->Tri-Attack(Roserade)

Huh, they sure like to target you don't they Mia? (Also, nice work on trolling Marcia with 81 Speed lol) That's ok, because We've got a plan this time.
Marcia, start by giving Electronica an Encore. Then blast that hunk of metal with a Flamethrower, and finish by giving Electronica your paralysis with a Psycho Shift.
Mia, start by setting up some Spikes around the other side of the field. Then dowse Aqualos with a Sleep Powder so he can't bounce. Finish by setting up some more Spikes.

Mia: Spikes~Sleep Powder (A)~Spikes

Dan started off by sending out his Pokemon, Mia the Roserade and Marcia the Togekiss. Toast responded with Aqualos the Gyarados and Electronica the Magneton, and Brandon nearly recoiled in horror when he saw the zombie-like Pokemon. "If he found them like that," Brandon thought, where the hell did he find them? And if he didn't find them like that, then what the hell did he DO to them to make them like that?" Not troubled by the zombie Pokemon, Mia led off the round, spreading a layer of Spikes all over Toast's side of the field. "That'll hurt Toast's Pokemon whenever they come in," Brandon mused. Aqualos ignored the Roserade, charging his fangs with icy energy and striking at Marcia with an Ice Fang! The energy spread through Marcia's body and encased her, leaving her frozen! Electronica added insult to injury by hitting Marcia with a Thunder Wave to paralyse her while Marcia remained frozen!

Mia, unhappy with the abuse her partner got that last action, used Sleep Powder to put Aqualos into an intense sleep! This didn't stop Electronica from striking Mia with a Hidden Power Fire, however. Meanwhile, Aqualos slept and Marcia remained frozen, though it looked like she would wake soon. Mia, content with Aqualos being asleep, set up a second layer of Spikes on Toast's side of the field, increasing the potential damage for Pokemon coming in. Electronica struck Mia again with a Tri Attack, and the yellow beam coursed through Mia's veins, inflicting her with paralysis! Aqualos continued to sleep, though he was starting to stir, but Marcia finally thawed, and used Psycho Shift to pass her paralysis to Electronica, leaving it paralyzed!

danmantincan, you're up!

Ok, so that round wasn't the best for us, but at least we got two layers of spikes down. I'm going to call Marcia back, to send out Aran the Dusclops.

No, in a switch battle, if I initiate the switching phase you can choose whether or not you want to switch. If you don't switch, I order first, if you counter switch, you order first. So you'd have to post on whether you counter switch or are keeping the same mons in.

EDIT:
I just realized, shouldn't Mia's speed be 26 when paralyzed?

Mia, start by using Stun Spore on Gyarados. Then Toxic Gyarados, and finish with a Synthesis.
If Gyarados is on the evasive stage of Bounce A1 or A2, use Spikes first, and Hidden Power on Magneton, if a third layer of spikes is already set up.

Aran, start by Taunting Magneton. Then go after Gyarados with a ThunderPunch followed by another ThunderPunch.
If Gyarados is on the evasive stage of Bounce A2 or A3, use Fire Punch on Magneton.

Okay, let's see what we can do...

Aqualos, set off a powerful earthquake to try to shake up your opponents! Then charge after Mia with some powerful fangs of ice, and finish off with another earthquake!

Electronica, you're faster than Dusclops, so you should be able to outspeed that taunt and magneticly rise off the ground! Once you're settled in the air, use tri-tattack to try to freeze, burn, OR paralyze Mia! Once you've finished up, hit Mia with a blast of your hidden power!

Deciding that Marcia wasn't the best Pokemon to have against Gyarados and Magneton, Dan called her back and replaced her with Aran the Dusclops! Aqualos, the fastest Pokemon on the field with paralysis everywhere, simply called upon an Earthquake to hit everyone! Aran barely felt it, but Mia took some decent damage. However, it was Aqualos's own teammate, Electronica, that took the worst of it! Mia, hoping to regain her spot as the fastest Pokemon on the field, hit Aqualos with a Stun Spore, paralyzing him! Hoping to avoid that again, Electronica attempted a Magnet Rise, but thanks to its paralysis Aran was slightly faster, allowing him to Taunt the Magneton, making Magnet Rise fail!

Now the fastest Pokemon again, Mia continued to pile up the status on Aqualos, nailing him with a Toxic! Aran followed Mia's lead, striking the Gyarados hard with a ThunderPunch! Aqualos tried to retaliate against the Roserade, but as he went for his attack his body seized up, fully paralyzed! Seeing this, Electronica took up the slack, nailing Mia with a Tri Attack! This time the blue energy afflicted Mia, leaving her frozen!

Mia found herself unable to break through her icy prison, though cracks were starting to form. Alan continued to assault Aqualos with ThunderPunch, but this time Aqualos was able to retaliate with another Earthquake! However, yet again it was Electronica who took the worst of the attack, and to make matters worse the Magneton found itself fully paralyzed as well!

ToastTyrant13, you're up!

Okay team, let's see what we can do!

Aqualos, hit Mia with an Ice Fang while she's frozen! You should be able to get close without any problem. Once she thaws out, bounce into the air and crash down on her in an attempt to cripple her with paralysis! Once all is said and done, finish up with another Ice Fang on Mia!

Electronica, let's try to help out Aqualos! Hit Mia with a powerful display of your hidden power! Follow up by getting Aran involved, and hit him with a signal beam! Try to get some space inbetween you too with another hidden power, aimed at Aran!

Aqualos-Ice Fang(Mia)->Bounce(Mia)->Ice Fang(Mia) [if Mia is KOed on an action, then direct the appropriate actions at Aran]
Electronica-HP Fire(Mia)->Signal Beam(Aran)->HP Gire(Aran)

It looks like ToastTyrant keeps trying to use force to beat us. Fortunately, Dusclops can take hits all day long.

Aran, start by Bodyblocking for Mia. Follow that up by increasing the Gravity, so Gyarados can no longer Bounce. Finish the round with a ThunderPunch on Gyarados.

Mia, you've done great so far, but your job isn't done yet. Start off by getting the third layer of Spikes set up. Then use Synthesis to heal off some of the damage. Finish by showing your technical skills with a Hidden Power on Magneton. If you are Fully Paralyzed, push your actions back.

Aran: Body Block~Gravity~ThunderPunch (G)
Mia: Spikes~Synthesis~Hidden Power (M)

Push actions back if fully paralyzed.

Finally freed from her icy prison, Mia completed her setup, stacking a third layer of Spikes on Toast's side of the field. Meanwhile, Aran moved in front of Mia, ready to bodyblock for her and take whatever blows were meant for her. Trying to take down the Roserade, Aqualos launched into an Ice Fang attack, but he hit the Dusclops instead. However, the icy energy created an icy prison around Aran, leaving him frozen! However, his teammate wasn't able to capitalize as Electronica was fully paralyzed!

Hoping to survive a bit longer, Mia used Synthesis to recover some health while Aran remained frozen! Aqualos, trying to take advantage, felt the familiar feeling of his muscles seizing up due to being fully paralyzed! Electronica picked up the slack though, firing a Signal Beam at Aran! While it did pitiful damage to the Ghost-type, it did leave him slightly confused!

Now that she had enough health to survive the round, Mia finally went on the offensive, nailing Electronica with a Hidden Power Ground for massive damage thanks to her Technician ability! Not to be outdone, Aran, having recently thawed out, hammered Aqualos with a ThunderPunch! However, the two zombie Pokemon retaliated, ganging up on Mia. Aqualos started with an Ice Fang, and the now-familiar icy energy struck again, leaving Mia frozen! However, this time it wouldn't last, as the heat from Electronica's Hidden Power Fire freed her, though it also left her teetering on the brink of fainting!

Mia, finish Magneton off with another Hidden Power. Follow up with a Synthesis and finish with a Chill.
Aran, start with a Shadow Sneak on Gyarados. Follow up with a ThunderPunch and finish with another Shadow Sneak on Gyarados, if necessary. If Gyarados is on the up stage of Bounce, use Substitute (20 HP) and push actions back. If he is on the up stage of Bounce a second time, Chill.

Mia struck first yet again, nailing Electronica with another Hidden Power Ground, knocking out the Magneton with ease! Aran, however, was not so successful and hit himself in confusion while Aqualos unleashed an Earthquake! Aran held steady, but Mia wass unable to take the attack and wass knocked out as well! Avenging his fallen comrade, Aran struck hard with a ThunderPunch, but even with the Toxic coursing through his body Aqualos continued to fight, attacking with another Earthquake! "Alright, since Toast has to order first, Dan, you have to send out your new Pokemon first. Let's go!"

danmantincan, you're up!

You two are up!

Entorios, start off by gettin' the edge on Nolan with a razor-sharp stone! Then try to deal some damage to Aran, he's been around too long, and strike him with a night slash! Finish off by hitting Darmanitan in the arms with another stone edge!

Vennon, you're up now! Try taunting Aran into attacking so that he can't ruin our attempts to defeat him! If Nolan manages to get in the way and taunt you, hit him with a Rock Slide instead! Follow up by hitting Aran with a shadowy ball of energy, try to aim for his eye! Finish off this round by causing a rock slide over Nolan's back!

Entorios - Stone Edge (Nolan) -> Night Slash (Aran) -> Stone Edge (Nolan)
IF Nolan uses Taunt on Vennon on Action 1 THEN use Substitute(15 HP) on that action instead of Stone Edge (other actions remain the same).

Vennon - Taunt (Aran) -> Shadow Ball (Aran) -> Rock Slide (both)
IF Nolan Taunts him on Action 1 THEN replace Taunt with Rock Slide.

Alright then, Nolan, start the round off by Activating Sheer Force, then opening with a Taunt on Vennon. Then I want to hit Entorios with a combination Focus Punch+Fire Punch.

Aran, since Entorios will be setting up a Substitute during Nolan's Taunt, I want you to Snatch it from him. Then Chill to regain some energy and finish with a Pain Split on Vennon.

Nolan: Taunt (V)~Focus Punch+Fire Punch (E)~Cool Down
Aran: Snatch (E)~Chill~Pain Split (V)

Despite its slow speed, Aran was starting the round, waiting to Snatch something! Entorios soon obliged, putting some of its energy and health into a Substitute, which Aran promptly Snatched away! Meanwhile, Nolan turned to Vennon, using Taunt on him to stop him from using non-attacking moves! In a blind rage, Vennon responded with a Rock Slide, nailing both Nolan and Aran's Substitute!

While Nolan focused, preparing for a powerful strike, Entorios attacked Aran with a Night Slash! The blow hit the Substitute with a critical hit, destroying it! Vennon joined him, sending a Shadow Ball at Aran! However, Aran, realizing he needed energy to fight, merely chilled to get some back. Nolan, on the other hand, unleashed his massive strike, a Fire Punch + Focus Punch combination! The blow decimated Entorios, but he stayed standing and retaliated with a Stone Edge! Vennon joined in, nailing both opponents with another Rock Slide while Nolan recovered from the combination attack! Aran was low on health, but he smiled as he used that fact to his advantage, using Pain Split on Vennon!

Alright then, I think it's time to finish this!

Aran, start with a Fire Punch on Entorios. Then go after Vennon with a Shadow Punch followed by a Fire Punch. If Vennon uses Sucker Punch on you A2 or A3, set up a 15 HP Substitute instead.

Nolan, go all out on Vennon, smashing him with a (SF still activated) Fire Punch, then a Flare Blitz and finish with another Fire Punch. If Entorios used Endure A1, hit him with a Will-o-Wisp.

Aran: Fire Punch (E)~Shadow Punch (V)/Substitute (15 HP)~Fire Punch (V)/Substitute (15 HP)
Nolan: Fire Punch (V)/Will-o-Wisp (E)~Flare Blitz (V)~Fire Punch (V)

Okay guys, let's gang up on Nolan!

Vennon, hit Darmanitan with a sucker punch to get him before he hits you with a fire punch! Then spam Sludge Bomb before you go down!

Entorios, you go after him too! Hit him with a Stone Edge, then another Stone Edge, and finish off with a powerful Earthquake!

EVERYTHING aimed at Darmanitan

Vennon - Sucker Punch->Sludge Bomb->Sludge Bomb

Entorios - Stone Edge->Stone Edge->Earthquake

As Nolan advanced towards Vennon, fists blazing, he suddenly stopped as Vennon seemed seriously injured. Hesitant to strike a helpless foe, Nolan gave Vennon the opportunity to strike with a Sucker Punch, and Entorios aided his teammate with a Stone Edge! Now furious, Nolan struck the Toxicroak hard with a Fire Punch! And none of the Pokemon saw Aran sneaking up behind Entorios, his own fist blazing, and he connected his own Fire Punch on Entorios, knocking out the Heracross! Nolan, still mad about Vennon's deception, charged at him with a massive Flare Blitz! The blow left Vennon wobbly, but he still managed to fire off a Sludge Bomb at Nolan! However, Aran faded into the shadows and reappeared in front of Vennon, smacking him with a Shadow Punch, knocking him out as well! Toast recalled his two fainted Pokemon, and Brandon waited for him to send out his final two Pokemon. However, to his surprise, Dan recalled his own Pokemon and the two started to leave. "Wait, where are you guys going?" Brandon called to them. "Don't you remember the rules?" Dan replied. "Match ends when four Pokemon from one side are KOed."
"Right..." Brandon said. "Well, good game then, and congrats Dan!"
