DP Drapion .

Drapion has only OU counters and has been moved down to UU, so this is a UU counters section.

[Counters]

Quagsire and Sandslash make excellent counters with their high defensive stats and STAB Earthquakes. Gastrodon works in a similar manner and also has an immunity to Knock Off. Steelix's high Defense allows it to survive through Drapion's Earthquakes and hit back with its own.

Drapion lacks resistances so its opportunities for switching in are limited. It often cannot handle strong STAB attacks, especially special ones.

capitalized the "d" in "Defense".

Nidoking should be mentioned as he can absorb toxic spikes, as well as hit back with a STAB super effective earthquake.

Cradily make a good option since it cant be whirlwinded out, and can hit hard with earthquake. Just try not to switch it in on 2 layers of toxic spikes, (1 is fine as it can recover off damage).

Nidoking is unfortunately weak to EQ, which almost all Drapions carry. It doesn't resist Night Slash either. Nidoqueen has better defenses, but is slower and still EQ weak.

Cradily is a possible solution. It has decent defense and can use EQ. I usually prefer to use STAB EQ's since Drapion has high base def but it can work.
