Charicific Valley said:
Deep within the cliffs in southern Johto lies the ancient Charicific Valley. Once just a sanctuary for Charizard this oasis found new life when its inhabitants discovered their Mega Evolutions. The long dormant volcano which engulfs the valley found new life and while eruptions are infrequent the heat is intense. These new conditions allowed the Charizard to reach their full potential as Dragons and this encouraged other Dragon's alike to train themselves in the valley. Now it acts as a haven for all draconic Pokemon, while others find the conditions harsh and near inhospitable.

Throughout the valley one might find rocks, water, grass and anything else that might be useful in a Pokemon battle. However the volcano and this land have began to exhibit special properties which aid the Dragons in defending their valley. With every eruption the very air within the valley has its composition changed. The heat, as well as flammable ash particles in the air make Fire particularly potent here. The molten lava has also begun to change many of the rocks and portions of the cliffs into newly formed metals, making Steel typed forces more powerful. Finally a thick cloud of smog seeps from every crack along the mountain leaving many Poisons in the air, water and even every surface. The Dragons are able to harness these powers to fend off would be invaders.

Almost as prevalent as the Volcano within the valley is the gigantic Charizard statue underneath which battles are contested. The statue of such an ancient and majestic beast imbues a strong sense of pride in not only Charizard but all draconic Pokemon. This need to please the powerful Dragon means that blows which would smite his enemies gain more natural accuracy, particularly those of Poison and Steel properties.

Finally, given it was Mega Evolution that gave the valley its newfound draconic power it is only natural that Charizard and other Pokemon which gain the Dragon typing through Mega Evolution find it easier to do so here. Any Pokemon with such traits may be brought by the Leader, and the Pokemon will be considered Mega Evolved in their Pokeball prior to send out. Battlers may bring two Mega Evolutions throughout the match and as battles are fought with two abilities trainers must specify which of their Pokemon's active abilities are to be replaced upon Mega Evolution if applicable.

Summary
  • Fire, Poison and Steel typed moves have +2 Base Attack Power.
  • Poison and Steel typed moves gain +10% accuracy before any other modifiers
  • Pokemon which gain the Dragon typing through Mega Evolution may be brought by the Leader but must equip their Mega Stone, and are considered Mega Evolved in the Pokeball.
  • Nature Power calls Lava Plume, Camouflage turns the user Fire typed and Secret Power may burn. The arena is outdoors.
  • No other moves are restricted, all weathers are possible.

Miere has always been a very cruel and sadistic Pokemon. He takes extreme pleasure in crippling and demoralizing his opponents. Elizabeth has always been concerned for his habits, but in the end, just lets him have his way. Last thing she wants is for Miere to turn back and give her the same treatment.

Yo, yo, YO! Welcome to the Charicific Valley, Home of the Dragon Pokemon and the Dragon Gym. Our Challenger of the day will be Exclaimer Elizabeth, aiming to end the day with the Tyrant Badge! according to our lovely Luvdisc~ Lizzy will be sending out first and her lead will be Megolia the Azumarill!...with Expert Belt? that's an odd choice, zuzus love their Sea Incenses. Anyways our Dragon Gym Leader, Deadfox is tired of seeing fairies and wants to ban them from even touching the valley, but continues to send out Contagion the Druddigon.

The round begins with Megolia bouncing into the air, avoiding Contagion's Gunk Shots and striking afterwards. That Rough Skin seems a little painful on the Azumarill's skin.
Afterwards Megolia charges at her opponent and Play Roughs with Contagion, as Megolia roughhouse with the Druddigon, Contagion was able to smack the Azumarill with it's Poison Tail.
Finally we see a repeat of what happen at the beginning of the rough with Azumarill bouncing and Druddigon shooting Gunk at nothing.

Nice Strategy by Lizzy, let's see how our Gym Leader will turn the tides!

Goodra comes into play and Azumamrill will stay.

Swipe coats his tail with poison and strikes Megolia with it. Megolia retaliate with a cool punch right towards the Goodra's face.
Swipe swings it's tail once again, hitting the Azumarill. Megolia figures she isn't going to survive another round so she Pummels the slime off the Goodra, with every pound nice and filled with ice.
Swipe lashes it's tail at Megolia finally striking it down and she is now unable to continue this battle.

Gym Leader draws first blood, but now has two damaged pokemon. Let's see how next round plays out!

Togekiss comes to the field carrying a scope lens to always hit a crit on his opponent.

Haxplane do what Haxplanes do and attack the Goodra with an air slash, causing him to flinch.
Following it's trainer's orders, Goodra endures any incoming pain, but instead of pain, Togekiss gives Goodra a round of applause wanting him to encore.
Goodra accepts the requests and endures again, Togekiss gave Goodra another round of applause, but Goodra only takes one request at a time, so it failed

Quick note: My second sub should trigger again because I worded it poorly. I should be using Encore A3 too ._.

"What's with the continually horrible positions we need to order in lately? I severely underestimated that Azumarill."

Cleaver the Haxorus
Item: Expert Belt
Abilities: Mould Breaker, Unnerve

Counterswitch?

Also Togekiss needs to drop an ability. In order for the previous round to play out the same way it obviously needs to be Hustle so I'll be courteous and assume it would have been Hustle chosen all along. I seriously need to implement some kind of punishment in the arena for everyone forgetting to declare abilities though.

(I apologize for that, thank you for the courtesy. Toon , removing Hustle.)

I'll pass, thank you.

"This is a less than wonderful position to be in."

Haxorus: Iron Tail - Poison Jab - Iron Tail
IF Thunder Wave OR Tailwind AND Togekiss is not taunted THEN Taunt
IF Counter THEN Dragon Dance on the first occasion, Chill on the second, Hone Claws on the third

Cleaver comes into play as our Gym Leader's third pokemon.

Haxorus hardens his tail and swings it at the Haxplane hittng in and make him slam into the ground hard. Togekiss gets back up and shoots a Dazzling Gleam towards the dragon, wow this damage race will be fun.
Haxorus encoats the blades on his face with poison and jabs the Togekiss with them. Togekiss shakes off the poison and blast another Dazzling Gleam towards his opponent.
Haxorus again hardens his tail and whips it at the Togekiss, this time Togekiss winces and misses his beam.

I think this gym is cursed. I've heard warstories just like this.

Cooldown -- Dazzling Gleam -- Dazzling Gleam

If damaging Poison- or Steel- type move, then ExtremeSpeed and push back actions.

"That's a fortunate turn of events. I mean we still have a Gardevoir to deal with but might be in with a shot now."

Haxorus: Dragon Dance - Rock Slide - Rock Slide
