name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Rock Slide
move 3: Poison Jab
move 4: Rapid Spin
ability: Mold Breaker
item: Choice Scarf
evs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 212 Spe
nature: Jolly / Adamant

Moves
========

Earthquake is Drilbur's most powerful STAB attack and can hit Pokemon with Levitate thanks to Mold Breaker. Rock Slide is used to hit the Flying- and Bug-types which are immune to or resist Earthquake. Poison Jab, while situational, hits Grass-types for super effective damage, most notably Cottonee. While Rapid Spin is a bad move to be locked into, it allows Drilbur to remove entry hazards in a pinch.

Set Details
========

The EV spread provides as much power and Speed as possible, while a Jolly nature allows Drilbur to outspeed Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Bunnelby and Modest Choice Scarf Chinchou and to Speed tie with Jolly Choice Scarf Mienfoo and Choice Scarf Chinchou. An Adamant nature can be used, however, to have a much better chance of 2HKOing Mienfoo, Timburr, and Foongus after Stealth Rock. Choice Scarf allows Drilbur to outspeed Pokemon such as Gastly and Ponyta and KO them before they can attack. Mold Breaker is an excellent ability that allows Drilbur to hit Levitate users with Earthquake and OHKO Pokemon with Sturdy such as Tirtouga.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Scarf Drilbur fits best on teams looking for a fast Ground-type that can provide entry hazard removal if needed. Drilbur is a great late-game cleaner with Choice Scarf and Mold Breaker, so keeping it healthy until then can help you clean more easily. Once you have revealed Drilbur's Choice Scarf, your opponent might feel safe switching into a Flying-type on a predicted Earthquake. If you expect this, use Rock Slide as they switch. While Rapid Spin is a terrible move to be locked into, its ability to remove entry hazards can help in facilitating a sweep with Pokemon that dislike entry hazards, such as Tirtouga.

Team Options
========

Slow Pokemon that appreciate entry hazard removal such as Tirtouga and Magnemite make for good partners. Do note, however, that Drilbur should usually not be relied on as your only way to prevent or remove entry hazards for these Pokemon, as being locked into Rapid Spin is not ideal. Pokemon that set entry hazards such as Dwebble and Trubbish can help Drilbur net KOs, such as the OHKO on Cottonee with Poison Jab after Stealth Rock. Pokemon such as Fletchling, Vulpix, and Chinchou that can deal with Grass- and Flying-types can assist Drilbur in sweeping. In general, this set tends to work as more of a glue to teams that are having trouble with both faster threats and entry hazards.

I think it's worth mentioning that Scarf Drilbur may be one of the best late game cleaners in this current meta. There's not a lot that STAB Earthquake doesn't hurt off 18 Attack, and after birds have been removed, it has little trouble, with a little entry hazards and Knock Off support, and I think it deserves some mention in Usage Tips.

I'd also consider slashing Shadow Claw with Poison Jab, as while it too is situational, it can hit Drifloon and Pumpkaboo harder.

They're the only relevant ones I can find, I think the Foongus one is definitely the most relevant and Adamant can have a slash. Scarf Bunny and Foo aren't the biggest deal. mention Jolly speed ties with timid scarf chou and outspeeds modest scarf chou, that is important

"Pokemon that set entry hazards can help Drilbur net KOs. Good entry hazard setters include Dwebble and Trubbish" which KOs does it help it with: my calcs give some good examples.

60 Def doesn't do anything, for the sake of consistency put it as 36.

do this and 1/3

TBH I would get rid of the first line in Team Options. Scarf Drilbur should not focus on hazard removal. In fact, whenever I have run Scarf Drilbur I made sure to have a foremost hazard controller and only use Drilbur as backup, or I would focus on staying heavily offensive to stop hazards from going down (with things like Tauntfoo, or just straight pressuring). So this could be reworded to include "better forms of hazard control through the use of Defog users or Taunt users" as being locked into Rapid Spin isn't really ideal. In the same vein, switch poison jab and rapid spin to move 3 and 4 respectively, as rapid spin should really be filler on scarf drilbur anyway. Otherwise this looks good, qc 2/3

Rock Slide is used to hit the Flying- and Bug-types which are immune to or (this is a debatable change, you can keep it as is if you don't think immunity is included in resistance; you could also change "or" to "and" and add ", respectively" at the end of the sentence) resist Earthquake. Poison Jab, while situational, hits Grass-types, most notably Cottonee, for super effective damage, most notably Cottenee. While Rapid Spin is a bad move to be locked into, it allows Drilbur to remove entry hazards for Pokemon such as Tirtouga and Fletchling in a pinch.

frenzyplant's check is good, couple extra things though:

set details: speed tie -> Speed tie

usage tips: "Once you have revealed you are Choice Scarf" -- change this to something like "Once you have revealed your Choice Scarf" or "Once you have revealed that you are using Choice Scarf"

do that and GP 1/2 LightningLuxray
