Current phase is Pre-Submissions. Submissions are not allowed However, you are allowed to reserve mons.

Ivysaur's evos need Saur at the end of the name and must be primary grass-type

Charmeleon's evos need Char at the beginning of the name and Fire as a primary-type

Wartortle's evos must be primary water type and have some part of turtle or tortoise in the name.

No subs yet, just reservations

Idk if I will legit make a submission of this but I reserve a Grass/Flying evolution called Soarsaur

Also I reserve a Charmeleon evo that is Fire/Fairy called Charomance and a Water/Psychic Wartortle evolution called Peastoise (get it? Cause peace?)

Ivysaur, Charmeleon and Wartortle

Ivysaur's evolutions must have 525 BST, be primary Grass type and contain "Saur" at the end of the name.

Charmeleon's evolutions must have 534 BST, be primary Fire type and contain "Char" at the beginning of the name.

Wartortle's evolutions must have 530 BST, be primary Water type and contain some part of "turtle" or "tortoise" in the name.

To stay true to GF starters: The primary ability must be Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent, and you may only have a hidden ability.

Also, megas are open for this slate.

Mega Evolution Rules:
  • You may only add 100 BST to your mon. no more, no less.
  • Each Pokemon may not change it's primary typing, only it's secondary type.

Charmeleon
Type:

Stats: 61 / 107 / 63 / 125 / 67 / 111
Abilities: Blaze | N/A | (Contrary)
New Moves: Icy Wind, Frost Breath, Aurora Beam, Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Ice Burn, Ice Shard, Avalanche, Ice Fang, Ice Punch, Icicle Crash, Aurora Veil, Hail.
Competitive Value: Charcold is able to nicely abuse Overheat thanks to contrary, and is also able to run mixed sets thanks to it's good 107 Attack. Ice Shard allows for some nice physical sets with Flare Blitz, Outrage, Earhquake etc.

Charcold-Mega
Stats
: 61 / 157 / 73 / 145 / 67 / 131
Ability: Snow Warning
Competitive Value: Charcold-Mega is a pretty nice mon to run. With mixed 157/145/131 offences, it's no offensive slouch, and while 61/73/67 defence isn't the best, it can easily set up an Aurora Veil due to Snow Warning and 131 speed, effectively giving it more than 61 / 146 / 134 bulk for 5 turns. It also gives perfectly accurate blizzards, and constant chip damage.

Charmeleon
Type:

Stats: 84/109/100/78/78/85 - 534 BST
Abilities: Blaze / Snow Warning
New Moves: Avalanche, Ice Punch, Ice beam, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Ice Burn, Freeze Dry, Hail, Icicle Crash, Ice shard, Haze, Frost Breath, Ice Fang, Searing Shot
Competitive Value: Charchill works as a nice hail setter that works well as a physical hail sweeper due to it's ice moves being boosted, it is though, frail specially.

Charchill-Mega
Stats
: 84/129/100/118/118/85 -634 BST
Ability: Slush Rush
Competitive Value: Mega Charchill benefits from it's ability to set up hail then sweep with fast attacks. While it would do more damage with a life orb (phisically, didn't bother figuring specially), it can now run both physical and special, and has 5 turns of super speed attacking in the hail due to it's base having snow warning

Couldn't pass that opportunity up
Type:

Stats: 100/85/109/78/84/78 - 534 BST
Abilities: Blaze / Sand Stream
New Moves: Gyro Ball, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Power Gem, Rock Polish, Searing Shot, Rock Blast, Stealth Rock, Sand Storm
Competitive Value: Charcoal tries its hardest to be a good tank. it has good bulk, physically especially with a 100/109/84 spread. Unfortunately, Charcoal has a 4x weakness to both water and ground, preventing it from really shining.

Charcoal-Mega
Stats
: 100/115/149/78/154/45 -634 BST
Ability: Dust Devil (Grass pelt clone, in sand stream, defense is 1.5x)
Competitive Value: Charcoal does a much better job at tanking hits and hitting back with a powerful STAB or Gyro ball. Unfortunately, you still have two 4x weaknesses in water and ground, which depending on the mon will highly dent or probably kill charcoal-mega

Type:

Stats: 100/78/84/85/109/78 - 534 BST
Abilities: Blaze / Drizzle
New Moves: Surf, Waterfall, Liquidation, Raindance, Muddy Water, Scald, Searing Shot, Hydro Pump, Dive, Brine, Aqua Jet, Soak, Calm Mind
Competitive Value: Charcrest is Charcoal's opposite. Only difference besides ability, and flipped stats, and movepool is that charcrest has a better typing. It does a much better job as a bulky mon and a weather setter.

Charcrest-Mega
Stats
: 100/78/114/115/149/78 -634 BST
Ability: Hydration
Competitive Value: Charcrest is a good, actually better than charcoal imo, tank. It all comes down to typing. Of course you'll be taking more neutral damage, but you resist alot, and for the five turns of rain you probably have before a mega, you are immune to status essentially.

Wartortle
Type:

Stats: 105/83/79/85/78/100 - 530 BST
Abilities: Torrent / Prankster
New Moves: Foul Play, Liquidation, Taunt, Reflect/Lightscreen, Magic Coat, Shore Up, Parting Shot, Soak, Water Sport, Shell Smash, Memento
Competitive Value: Torterror can be a pain to play around. With prankster, reliable healing, an incredable boosting move, parting shot and memento, screens, taunt, etc., you will have to learn to play around this thing's stally tendancies.

Torterror-Mega
Stats
: 105/113/99/85/98/130 - 630 BST
Ability: Moxie
Competitive Value: Imagine a world where you set a shell smash with prankster, then mega evolve into something with, ok stats, but pretty is faster than the world, that also boosts evbery time it scores a kill. Hard to beat right? Well, I can picture this thing getting beat out by walls, especially clefairy.

Type:

Stats: 78/85/79/83/105/100 - 530 BST
Abilities: Torrent / Serene Grace
New Moves: Liquidation, Iron Head, Super Power
Competitive Value: Serene monster. With the speed of jirachi and plenty of moves that make this thing unbearable such as iron head, muddy water, rock tomb, scald, dark pulse, etc, this thing becomes a hax fest.

Torterror-Mega
Stats
: 78/125/119/73/135/100 - 630 BST
Ability: Alloy Shell (Fluffy clone, .5 damage from non-contact moves, 2x damage from fire)
Competitive Value: An all around good mon. A decent speed tier and plenty of bulk. You also have plenty of moves to play around with physically.

Type:

Stats: 100/105/79/83/85/78 - 530 BST
Abilities: Torrent / Sheer Force
New Moves: Liquidation, Close Combat, SuperPower, Elemental punches, Shadow Punch, Mach Punch
Competitive Value: On the other side of the ability spectrum from tortanium, you have tortussle, a slower, powerful, sheer force sweeper. Pure power.

Torterror-Mega
Stats
: 100/115/139/83/135/58 - 630 BST
Ability: Huge Power
Competitive Value: The strongest mon with huge power attack-wise. Great bulk and a solid typing make this thing VERY strong.

Ivysaur

Type:

Stats: 83/82/100/80/100/80 - 525 BST
Abilities: Overgrow / Berserk
New Moves: Dazz Gleam, Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Moonlight, Fairy Wind, Play Rough
Competitive Value: While not having the greatest attack stats, Utopisaur has two offensive abilities, allowing it to run bulky, or as a choice sweeper. Unfortunatly it does neither the best.

Utopisaur-Mega
Stats
:83/82/120/100/160/80
Ability: Tough Hide (renamed filter)
Competitive Value: Mega Utopisaur makes Utopisaur more of a tank. Eliminating all weaknesses aside from poison, you are able to tank a lot.

Type:

Stats: 80/82/83/100/80/100 - 525 BST
Abilities: Overgrow / Stakeout
New Moves: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Flame charge, Searing shot, Burn up, Infestation, Will o Wisp
Competitive Value: A decent special sweeper with a unique typing.

Spicisaur-Mega
Stats
:80/82/103/160/80/120
Ability:Fly Trap (Magpull clone, traps bugs)
Competitive Value: Better special sweeper that still has it's unique type. Bug Fryer

Type:

Stats: 80/100/100/83/82/80 - 525 BST
Abilities: Overgrow / Rough Skin
New Moves: Dragon Hammer, Dragon Dance, Outrage, Draco Meteor, Wood Hammer, Poison Fang, Elemental Fangs, Crunch
Competitive Value: A unique dragon dancer. Does not like ice.

Hydrasaur-Mega
Stats
: 80/160/120/83/82/100
Ability: Strong Jaw
Competitive Value: Hits like a truck that has teeth. Still does not like ice.

Ability: Light Power

Sunosaur
Type
:

Stats: 100/75/85/90/100/75 - 525 BST
Abilities: Overgrow / Drought
New Moves: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Earth Power, Heat Wave, Quiver Dance, Strength Sap
Competitive Value: Sunosaur will work as a bulky Special sweeper does to Quiver Dance access and Drought to power-up Fire-type moves and for instant Solar Beam. Its Defense is not all that great, but it got Strength Sap to compensate. Its Special Attack is also not spectacular without using Quiver Dance first, making it a setup bait.

Sunosaur-Mega
Stats
: 100/95/105/105/135/85 - 625 BST
Ability: Chlorophyll
Competitive Value: Mega Sunosaur functions as a Special Sweeper, with Drought from the pre-Mega form and then Chlorophyll for the doubled speed. Its Special Attack is still not outstanding compared to other Mega Evolution, meaning that a Quiver Dance is a must to work properly.
----
Charteor
Type
:

Stats: 79/115/70/75/70/120 - 534 BST
Abilities: Blaze / Hard Crystals
(Hard Crystals: Ground-type moves do nothing on this Pokémon; when hit by a Ground-type move, Speed is increased by one stage.)
New Moves: Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Accelerock, Head Smash, Rock Tomb, Rock Polish, Rock Throw, Sandstorm, Glare, Wild Charge, Iron Head, Bullet Punch, Waterfall, Acrobatic
Competitive Value: A Physical sweeper capable of dishing powerful damage with Head Smash or Stone Edge, and able to outspeed most threats in OU, and can set a Dragon Dance for a good sweeping. A double vulnerability to Water, in addition of its fragility, doesn't do it any favor, but it got Wild Charge or Thunder Punch to push away most Water-type.

Charteor-Mega
Stats
: 79/145/80/85/80/155 - 634 BST
Ability: Technician
Competitive Value: Although still frail, Mega Charteor becomes an even more threatening Physical Sweeper, with an even better Speed tier, outspeeding almost all of the OU threats. It also got Technician, allowing it to hit harder with Metal Claw, Brutal Swing/Bite, Rock Tomb, Flame Charge, Power-Up Punch, Accelerock, Bulldoze and Aerial Ace, giving it a multitude of purposes and versatility in the same time.
----
Dracoise
Type
:

Stats: 110/70/100/90/100/60 - 530 BST
Abilities: Torrent / Pixieproof
(Pixieproof: Bounce any Fairy-type moves aimed at this Pokémon back to the user of these moves.)
New Moves: Draco Meteor, Outrage, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Water Shuriken, Nasty Plot, Calm Mind, Recover, Thunder Wave, Giga Drain
Competitive Value: Makes an efficient stall or bulky Special Sweeper with one less weakness than Kingdra and Palkia thanks to Pixieproof. It also got Recover to restore HP from damage, and have plenty of coverages to plow through potential threats, and Scald, Thunder Wave or Toxic will give hindrance to various opponents.

Dracoise-Mega
Stats
: 110/80/135/110/135/60 - 630 BST
Ability: Energetic Spirit
(Energetic Spirit: When Poisoned/Badly Poisoned, Burned or Paralyzed, its Special Attack is boosted by 1.5x. Cannot be fully paralyzed.)
Competitive Value: Bulkier and stronger for Special Attack, Mega Dracoise is a threat not to be laughed at. While becoming vulnerable to Fairy-type again, its bulk can manage it to survive most of their unboosted attacks and retains appropriate coverages such as Sludge Bomb or Flash Cannon. It can also punish the likes of Suicune or other Scald spammers, or anyone who Paralyzed it, with Energetic Spirit, which when this happens, its Special Attack is boosted further, which can go even further with Nasty Plot or Calm Mind. Be prepared for that King of the Draconic Tur-- Oh wait, Bowser had copyrighted that.

Ivysaur:

Name: Mossaur (Moss + mosasaur)

Types: Grass/Ghost

BST: 80/100/83/100/82/80 -> 80/120/113/110/112/90

Abilities: Overgrow/Cursed Body ->Gooey

New Moves: Astonish, Confuse Ray, Destiny Bond, Grudge, Hex, Lick, Night Shade, Phantom Force, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Shadow Force, Shadow Sneak, Spite

Removed Moves:Petal Dance, Petal Blizzard

Justification/Niche: Ivysaur’s plant took over its host body completely, turning it into a zombie. The new immunities complement bulk and give Mossaur more opportunities to strike with its larger offenses. Cursed Body means that you’ll occasionally frustrate your opponent by disabling their moves as well. All that improves as it megas Its rotten body becomes Gooey, slowing down attackers as they try get through that bulk. Eventually, its speed ill seem less middling.

Name: Lilysaur (Lily + saur)

Types: Grass/Water

BST: 83/82/80/80/100/100 -> 83/112/90/100/120/120

Abilities: Overgrow/Damp ->Insectivore (Sap Sipper clone for Bug moves)

Removed Moves:Petal Dance, Petal Blizzard

New Moves: Aqua Jet, Aqua Ring, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Hydro Pump, Jump Kick, Hi-Jump Kick, Lick, Rain Dance, Scald, Soak, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Water Sport

Justification/Niche: Ivysaur becomes more frog-like and its plant becomes a lily pad. Damp means that explosions can’t deal with your bulk and upon mega-evolving, you gain an immunity to Bug that increases your swollen attack.

Name: Orchisaur (Orchid + saur)

Types: Grass/Fairy

BST: 100/80/80/83/100/82 ->100/90/100/113/130/92

Abilities: Overgrow/Magic Bounce ->Magic Guard

New Moves: Aromatic Mist, Baby-Doll Eyes, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, Fairy Wind, Floral Healing, Flower Shield, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Moonlight, Play Rough, Sweet Kiss

Justification/Niche: Ivysaur’s flower becomes an orchid and the bond with its flower turns it into a fey nature spirit. Magic Bounce lets it come in easier and after mega-evolving, that bulk is improved by Magic Guard.

Name: Pitchersaur (Pitcher plant + saur)

Types: Grass/Bug

BST: 80/83/82/100/100/80 -> 80/113/102/130/120/80

Abilities: Overgrow/Swarm -> Vampire (Iron Fist clone. Boosts draining moves)

Removed Moves:Petal Dance, Petal Blizzard

New Moves: Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, Infestation, Leech Life, Signal Beam, Silver Wind, Struggle Bug, X-Scissor

Justification/Niche: Ivysaur attracts insects it incorporates into its body to gain a bug-typing. Yu can choose which STAB you want to boost at low health to gain advantage of that special attack, and on mega-evolving, your Leech Lives and Giga Drains will hurt while healing you a lot.

Name: Cloversaur (Clover + saur)

Types: Grass/Ground

BST: 83/82/100/80/100/80 -> 83/92/130/90/130/100

Abilities: Overgrow/Sandstream -> Sand Force

Removed Moves:Petal Dance, Petal Blizzard

New Moves: Earth Power, Magnitude, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Mud Sport, Mud-Slap, Rototiller, Sand Attack, Sandstorm, Sand Tomb, Shore Up

Justification/Niche: Ivysaur covers its back in soil to better help its plant. Not only is the result bulky, it can set up sandstorm that it can benefit from upon mega-evolving to do high damage with Sand Force boosted moves off boosted offensive stats.

Charmeleon:

Name: Charagon (char + dragon)

Types: Fire/Dragon

BST: 78/100/85/109/84/78 -> 78/120/115/119/114/88

Abilities: Blaze/Intimidate -> Multiscale

New Moves: Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Twister

Removed Moves:Air Slash, Steel Wing

Justification/Niche: Charmeleon’s horn lengthens and it becomes sinuous while growing whiskers, like an Eastern dragon. Intimidate gives it survivability as it uses its high offensive stats and mega-evolving helps as it gains Multiscale it can restore with Roost.

Name: Charibian (Char + amphibian)

Types: Fire/Water

BST: 85/78/78/100/109/84 -> 85/78/98/120/139/114

Abilities: Blaze/Water Absorb ->Hydration

New Moves: Aqua Jet Aqua Ring, Aqua Tail, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Scald, Soak, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Water Sport

Removed Moves: Wing Attack, Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Air Slash, Roost, Steel Wing, Sky Drop, Fly

Justification/Niche: Charmleon becomes more of a real world salamander or newt, growing a slimy skin that turns it into a special wall fire type that absorbs water. Upon mega-evolving, it can use the Rest Hydration strategy to sustain itself.

Name: Charecko (char + gecko)

Types: Fire/Grass

BST: 78/78/85/84/100/109 -> 78/98/105/114/120/119

Abilities: Blaze/Arboreal (Surge Surfer clone. Doubles speed in Grassy Terrain)-> Suction Cups

New Moves: Absorb, Bullet Seed, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Grassy Terrain, Horn Leech, Ingrain, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leaf Tornado, Leafage, Leach Seed, Magical Leaf, Mega Drain, Razor Leaf, Seed Bomb, Seed Flare, Synthesis, Worry Seed

Removed Moves: Wing Attack, Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Air Slash, Roost, Steel Wing, Sky Drop, Fly

Justification/Niche: Charmeleon grows gecko feet and leaves and gains a load of sped it can boost even higher in Grassy Terrain. After mega-evolving you no longer have to fear phasing which will cost your set-up and risk more Stealth Rock damage.

Name: Charesect (char + insect)

Types: Fire/Bug

BST: 78/100/85/84/78/109 -> 78/130/115/64/108/119

Abilities: Blaze/Insectivore (Sap Sipper clone for Bug moves)-> Long Reach

New Moves: Bug Bite, Bug Buzz, Infestation, Leech Life, Signal Beam, Silver Wind, Struggle Bug, X-Scissor

Removed Moves:Wing Attack, Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Air Slash, Roost, Solar Beam, Steel Wing, Sky Drop, Fly

Justification/Niche: Charmeleon ate so many bugs, it gained their typing and a real taste for them. Insectivore can boost its high attack even higher and upon mega-evolving, it can use its long tongue to avoid contact.

Name: Charaflage (char + chamoflage)

Types: Fire/Normal

BST: 100/84/109/78/85/78 ->100/104/129/98/115/88

Abilities: Blaze/Color Change -> Protean

New Moves: Bind, Camouflage, Copycat, Covet, Crush Claw, Crush Grip, Encore, Entrainment, Fake Out, False Swipe, Feint, Mimic

Removed Moves:Wing Attack, Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Air Slash, Roost, Steel Wing , Sky Drop, Fly

Justification/Niche: Charmeleon embraces its chameleon nature and gains a neutral typing that can Color Change which it complements with good physical bulk. Upon Mega-evolving, it upgrades that to Protean to really dish out damage.

Wartortle:

Name: Tintle (tin + turtle)

Types: Water/Steel

BST: 100/79/105/83/85/78 -> 100/99/145/103/125/58

Abilities: Torrent/Bulletproof -> Iron Barbs

New Moves: Heavy Slam, Iron Head, Metal Burst, Metal Claw, Mirror Shot

Removed Moves:Rock Slide, Dragon Tail, Dark Pulse

Justification/Niche: The metal that would become blastoise’s cannons instead covers wartortle’s shell. Its bulk is supplemented by being Bulletproof and on mega-evolving, it grows spikes to punish any that try to wear it down with Iron Barbs.

Name: Tortoistone (tortoise + stone)

Types: Water/Rock

BST: 85/83/100/79/105/78 -> 85/113/120/99/125/88

Abilities: Torrent/Weak Armor -> Filter

New Moves: Head Smash, Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rock Wrecker, Rollout, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Wide Guard

Removed Moves:Flash Cannon, Dragon Tail, Dark Pulse

Justification/Niche: Wartortle’s shell turns to stone, providing it with some Weak Armor that still gives it decent bulk, especially in a sandstorm. After a Weak Armor boost, you can mega-evolve to Filter out your weaknesses, making the lost defence matter less.

Name: Turtiller (turtle + tiller)

Types: Water/Ground

BST: 105/78/83/85/100/79 -> 105/98/113/115/130/69

Abilities: Torrent/Sand Force -> Water Compaction

New Moves: Earth Power, Magnitude, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Mud-Slap, Rototiller, Sand Attack, Sandstorm, Sand Tomb, Shore Up

Removed Moves:Flash Cannon, Dragon Tail, Dark Pulse

Justification/Niche: Wartortle’s shell softens and it covers itself in mud to regain its bulk. It’s proficiency with mud gives it a lot of San Force to dish out damage and after Mega-evolving, water just makes the mud strong through Water Compaction.

Name: Turtandard (turtle + standard) 105/78/83/85/100/79

Types: Water/Normal

BST: 100/85/105/78/79/83 -> 100/125/135/88/109/73

Abilities: Torrent/Tangling Hair -> Strong Jaw

New Moves: Chip Away, Crunch, Endure, Hyper Fang, Ice Fang

Removed Moves:Flash Cannon

Justification/Niche: Wartortle’s fluffy tail and ears are only the start and it becomes even furrier and more mammal-like, growing teeth. The fur slows down those that try get through its bulk with Tangling Hair and after mega-evolving, it can strike back with its Strong Jaw.

Name: Tursquirrel (Turtle + Squirrel) 100/85/105/78/79/83

Types: Water/Grass

BST: 83/85/100/78/79/105 -> 83/135/80/128/109/95

Abilities: Torrent/Arboreal (Surge Surfer clone. Doubles speed in Grassy Terrain) -> Fluffy

New Moves: Absorb, Bullet Seed, Crunch, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Grass Knot, Grassy Terrain, Hyper Fang, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leaf Tornado, Leafage, Leach Seed, Magical Leaf, Mega Drain, Razor Leaf, Spiky Shield, Seed Bomb, Seed Flare, Synthesis, Worry Seed

Removed Moves:Flash Cannon, Dark Pulse

Justification/Niche: Wortortle’s fluffy tail becomes even fluffier as it becomes a shelled squirrel. It can patch up its speed in grassy Terrain and it really becomes Fluffy after mega-evolving, so only fire can get through that bulk.

Sorry, but that Mega Charqua is illegal. I meant to put the Mega rules in this slate too. They were stated in the last slate with megas. And I'll post them here too.

Mega Evolution Rules:
  • You may only add 100 BST to your mon. no more, no less.
  • Each Pokemon may not change it's primary typing, only it's secondary type.

ivysaur evos

Name: Capsaisaur (Capsaisin + -saur)
Types: Grass/Fire
BST: 80 / 85 / 75 / 110 / 95 / 80 (525)
Abilities: Overgrow / Chlorophyll (HA)
New Learnset:
+ Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Flame Charge, Flare Blitz, Ember, Fire Spin
Justification/Niche: A Sun abuser at core, with a better typing to exploit it with. Like standard Venusaur, the base form is the more offensive weathery one, in contrast to...

Name: Mega Capsaisaur
Mega Types: Grass/Fire
Mega BST: 80 / 95 (+10) / 115 (+40) / 130 (+20) / 125 (+30) / 80 (625)
Mega Ability: Smoke Shield (Immune to Flying moves)
Justification/Niche: While still a little more offensive than Venusaur, Capsaisaur's Mega pushes it more towards the defensive side of the versatile Grass/Fire typing.

Name: Ionisaur (Ion + -saur + a second "i" to make it sound better)
Types: Grass / Electric
BST: 85 / 70 / 90 / 80 / 100 / 100 (525)
Abilities: Overgrow / Lightning Rod (HA)
New Learnset:
+ Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Rapid Spin, Discharge, Wild Charge, Spark, Thunder Shock
Justification/Niche: Ionisaur is an odd 'mon. It's defensive, certainly, but it's also moderately fast. It also gets Rapid Spin. May see use in lower-tier equivalents as a support 'mon.
Sample sets:
Ionisaur @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave / Sleep Powder
- Sleep Powder / Synthesis
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch / Thunderbolt / Synthesis

Name: Mega Ionisaur
Types: Grass / Electric
BST: 85 / 80 / 110 / 90 / 130 / 130 (625)
Abilities: Heat Engine (Fire-typed Lightning Rod clone that boosts Speed)
Justification/Niche: Pretty much normal Ionisaur with better stats and a better ability for its role and typing. No significant role change, although Synthesis becomes a little more valuable due to your newfound inability to hold Lefties.
Sample sets:
Ionisaur @ Ionisaurite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Rapid Spin / Thunder Wave
- Synthesis
- Sleep Powder / Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
