Welcome, one & all to Bolt Beach, where once again, our favourite Electric Gym Leader is challenged by The Royal Guard! Dogfish44 has lost just one match in his five Gym Matches. Will Dogfish44 fend off this challenger as well? Let us find out.

Arena: Bolt Beach
A 120 * 100 * 100 Room, Bolt Beach is an artificial haven. Above the arena is a glass dome, where spetators watch, whilst trainers have podiums to issue commands from elevated podiums at opposite ends of the arena. Bolt Beach is mainly a bright yellow sand, and a dark yellow water. There are a few palm trees, although they give off a slight green glow.

Features:

- Electricity in the sand means that electric types all learn Charge, and the effect lasts for 9 actions.
- The sand reduces the BP of Seismic attacks by 1, and lower's dig's priority on tunneling down to -0.5.
- Attacks which require natural sunlight cannot work.
- Attacks which cannot work in an artificial environment do work, but paralyse the user 5% of the time as if hit by Thunder Wave, since the "Nature" is electric.
- Nature Power is treated as Shock Wave.
- There is a constant rainfall in the arena, which cannot be changed.
- Mud Sport is washed away at the end of each round.

LEADER DOGFISH44 VS. CHALLENGER THE ROYAL GUARD

Round One - A Shocking Start...


With the battle kicking off, our challenger: The Royal Guard, opens out the match with his trusty Serperior: Eirlasdar, giving him a Miracle Seed & making him enable his Contrary Ability. The Leader obviously sees what is potentially going to come his way by sending out his trusty Eelektross: Murena, with the intent of trying to stop Contrary shenanigans? Nevertheless, Dogfish44 gives Murena the Expert Belt, as the two square off for battle - their data below.

And as the sprinklers around Bolt Beach start to create a constant downpour, Murena jumps straight out of the blocks to literally give Eirlasdar a cold reception, flinging orbs of ice at the Serperior & striking for some damage, though it is fair to say that Eirlasdar was having none of that, who simply prepared for the cold reception by shrouding his skin in a reflective aura, which simply reflects the ice orbs back at Murena for even more power than she could have imagined. To make things worse, Eirlasdar suddenly goes on the attack, firing an accurate seed from his mouth at the Eelektross, who simply could never get out of the way, & as such, was trapped in a draining seed that would sap at her health. Still, this did not stop Murena from springing into the air for a moment, before crashing into the Serperior with good precision for some sizable damage. Murena felt satisfied, as she then started firing another round of ice orbs at Eirlasdar, who had prepared for the attack once again by covering his skin in a reflective aura, so when the ice orbs hit, while the Serperior took damage, the Serperior would simply reflect the ice orbs back at the Eelektross with even greater force, forcing her to take a hammering. To make matters worse, the seed continues to drain her health like it was no one's business.

Round Two - Overconfidence


Satisfied about getting past the first round, Eirlasdar goes to insult Murena, feeling confident that he can finally get to work on Contrary tactics, only to enrage Murena, who goes on a rampage, firing a strange beam at Eirlasdar which strikes for plenty of damage! As the incessant draining continues to rejuvenate Eirlasdar, the Serperior finally gets to work, firing a storm of leaves at Murena, & dealing impressive damage! Murena did not approve, though, as she suddenly let off supercharged beam of ice which sent Eirlasdar flying to the edge of the dome, crashing into it hard, before falling to the floor, unconscious.

And so, the Gym Leader goes up 3-2, but his Eelektross is exhausted, & looks like keeling over before long...What will our challenger do next round in response to this? Well, we will see soon enough...

Short Fuse begins by taking in focus at the Weavile. Lasfirlian makes a rude insult at Short Fuse, & while it did rile up the Electivire, it did not stop Short Fuse from letting rip a powerful fist to the face that deals incredible damage! Lasfirlian then gets up after that hit, & whacks Short Fuse critically with a really cold fist of ice, as Short Fuse responds to the matter with one mighty swing of the arm that crushes the Weavile for some nasty damage. Down, but not out, Lasfirlian then makes another rush, swiping Short Fuse critically again with a shady slash of dark energy, but it was not enough to stop Short Fuse from letting off another swing of the arm which crushes Lasfirlian, knocking the Weavile out once & for all!

Lionheart begins by trying to burrow underground, but due to the sand, was slow on the getaway, as Short Fuse aims low & trips Lionheart, slowing him down! Nevertheless, Lionheart then burrowed into the sand, before popping up & striking Short Fuse with a blow! Short Fuse then got the jump, & swung his arm at Lionheart, dealing more damage, as the Lucario slammed the ground, letting off a tremour, which was somewhat absorbed by the sand, resulting in a slightly softer impact. Short Fuse then made another swing at Lionheart, striking him critically, as Lionheart burrows underground slowly again, before coming up & hitting Short Fuse, leaving the Electivire in dire straits!

The round is done, & as Short Fuse's rage ends, it looks like one of these two combatants will keel over soon, but who? Find out next round!

Short Fuse begins the round by bracing himself for impact, as Lionheart hurls poisonous sludge at the Electivire, hitting & poisoning Short Fuse! Lionheart then makes a lightning quick dash that strikes Short Fuse, leaving him in dire straits, as Short Fuse starts wiggling his fingers, when suddenly, Short Fuse started crackling in electricity, before ramming into Lionheart with full force!
