Arena
Bolt Beach
A 120 * 100 * 100 Room, Bolt Beach is an artificial haven. Above the arena is a glass dome, where spetators watch, whilst trainers have podiums to issue commands from elevated podiums at opposite ends of the arena. Bolt Beach is mainly a bright yellow sand, and a dark yellow water. There are a few palm trees, although they give off a slight green glow.

Features:

- Electricity in the sand means that electric types are always under the effect of charge.
- The sand reduces the BP of Seismic attacks by 3, and gives Dig a -3 Priority to tunnel down, and -4 to surface.
- Attacks which require natural sunlight cannot work.
- Attacks which cannot work in an artificial environment do work, but paralyse the user 5% of the time as if hit by Thunder Wave, since the "Nature" is electric.
- Nature Power is treated as Shock Wave.
- There is a constant rainfall in the arena, which is unchangable.
- Mud Sport is washed away at the end of each round.

"Your use of a not very effective attack alongside Trick Room insults me."

Thunder! Hidden Power! Thunder!

I will now also mention your levitate description is incorrect, the correct one is:

This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

I will also give you Heatproof:

This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-type attacks, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.) The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.

RAIN (INF)

Seemingly the more popular of the Gym Leaders in these early days, Electric master dogfish44 is back on Bolt Beach and awaiting the challenge of another eager ASBer. This is in the form of dragonboy52, a newcomer to the scene who brings along with him Pokemon that he recently raised to their fully evolved stage. Some would call this folly against the might of a Gym Leader but only time will tell.

In what may prove to be a catch-all-comers strategy dogfish leads with the powerful and some might say infamous Cyclohm called Nimbus. Right at home in the stormy conditions the Dragon lets a burst of its own electrical energy add to the surrounding storm. Undoubtedly nervous, dragonboy answers with what he deems the best mon for the job in a quite boringly un-nicknamed Bronzong.

Nimbus shows the power of the storm right away with a Thunder attack that deals frankly astounding damage for a neutral hit. Bronzong responds in a rather passive aggressive fashion as rather than responding with a ferocious assault of its own it sets up for the future by twisting the dimensions of dogfish's own arena to make slow become fast and fast become slow.

Now moving first Bronzong goes on the attack... with a lackluster resisted Gyro Ball. This could very well be a sign of the under preparedness of our challenger. dogfish is quick to pounce on any sign of weakness as Nimbus releases a carefully crafted Hidden Power than hones in on what I'm sure Bronzong thought was a very well protected weakness.

As Bronzong almost bewilderingly tackles Nimbus once again to muted effectiveness it gets caught up in the static fur of the monster and ends up walking away paralyzed. I guess that maybe helps his cause though. Cyclohm is not here to play games and unleashes another devastating Thunder attack to round out a showing of pure power. From where I'm sitting this is a little one sided..

RAIN (INF)
TRICK ROOM (3 rounds)

With the Trick Room ensuring speed (or should I say slow) is on his side Bronzong is able to stave off paralysis and lull Nimbus into a mid match nap with some Hypnosis. Unfortunately its only looking like a quick one so it may not help his cause that much. Nonetheless Nimbus is most definitely asleep through the first action and both Bronzong and dragonboy look to enjoy the relief from electircal barrages.

Too bad for Bronzong the second time is not the charm and now his paralysis gets to him and makes him unable to do a darned thing this action. A freshly woken up Cyclohm is under no such duress though, and the Thunder he calls down shows this off to full extent. As if things weren't bad enough for the Steel type the lightning hits him just right and refreshes his paralysis back to how it started the round.

It what we can all agree is a last breath attemp, Bronzong is finally able to lay some smack with a Gyro Ball and while the paralysis slowing him down does indeed somewhat boost the power of the attack it is still far from enough to get through Cyclohms bulk, not to mention resistant typing. One has to think Bronzong had a better attacking option than that move. Insult to injury also occurs here as Zong is once again paralyzed even further by the Static all over the Dragon's body. Finally, like a horse bats away a gnat Nimbus sees Bronzong off his Beach with another mighty Thunder. Leader dogfish44 moves to a swift 1-0 lead and at this stage you would hardly guess Nimbus has been in a fight.

Oh joy, another weak and useless target.

Cyclohm, we'd do a service to the planet in killing this... thing.

dragonboy, your Pokemon profiles are frankly appalling. None out of the three you have sent have their abilities complete or correct and it is a chore as a referee to have to look up information that should be provided by the battlers. I'm not sure if they were approved in this state or not but I suggest you fix it ASAP.[/rant]

TRICK ROOM (2 rounds)

Swiftly replacing Bronzong is another sadly un-nicknamed mon in Porygon-Z. It does look somewhat more capable in this match than its previous team mate though and it imediately Downloads info on the oponent and boosts its own Special Attack to capitalise! Trainers must get so happy when that ability actually boosts the stat they want it to. Nimbus and dogfish aren't worried though, and with the Trick Room now on their side they continue the electrical assault. It is changed up somewhat this time as Nimbus releases a Discharge in all directions. The move fails to paralyze P-Z despite the increased chance but it still does some nice damage. Porygon responds with, wait whats this? It actually brought a super effective attack! The Ice Beam hits Nimbus square on and just about did more damage in one blow than Bronzong managed altogether.

After that quick detour Nimbus immediately returns to his go to weapon and Thunders Porygon just as hard as he had been Bronzong. One has to think it would have at least been a good idea to bring something that resists Electric to the Electic Gym... Oh well. In the mean time Porygon blasts back with its own signature weapon. The Tri Attack is boosted by two of the virtual Pokemon's abilities and would have had the benefit of the third also if only its trainer had thought to activate the darned thing. Ho hum.

The end of the round is more of the same as the mons trade Ice Beams and Thunders that hit almost equally as hard. Nimbus is however finally brought down to a near Koed state but not before he's all but taken out two of the challengers prized Pokemon.

In what could be considered an act of mercy the leader decides to keep his weakened Cyclohm in the match till his bitter end. A more ruthless leader (coughEngineercough) might have switched in a new Pokemon in attempts to take the match 3-0. Nimbus does leave quite a parting gift in yet another Thunder that means he came damn near close to taking out two opponents single handedly. This was not meant to be though as Porygon fires off another Ice Beam to knock Nimbus out, and with a critical hit to boot. The scores may read 1-1 at the moment but that is only the short version of a very long story..

Well Pokefans, if you're finding these descriptions are becoming a little boring then you're completely right. The challenger's freshly sent out Garchomp bring with him that old Dragon handicap in a severe weakness to Ice. Formula and dogfish know this and they take full advantage. 3 straight Ice Beams get blown off without unusual consequence and Garchomp is almost out of it from just this one round. Knowing all is basically lost Garchomp just bursts into an Outrage that hits Kril frankly as hard as he could have. Of course as a consequence he ends up not just a little confused but severely confused. The Leader looks mere moments away from finishing this one and moving to 2-0 in that pivitol Gym Match WLT.
