X was Ana's first pokemon, as well as first shadowed pokemon. He was what made Ana discover what shadowed pokemon were and the Shadowed Laboratories. She received him as present as an egg, so she didn't realize it was a shadow pokemon at first. He has a rough telepathic connection with Ana, though it only functions outside of battle as X cannot withstand the strength needed to focus on battling and keeping up with the telepathy. He is the calm one of the group, often keeping the other rambunctious members in line. X is also Ana's most trusted partner, helping her judge and pick new members of the team. He finds other Xatu crazy for staring into the sun all day, even if it is how they see the future. because he thinks they will hurt their eyes. Thus, he wears a pair of Black Glasses to protect his eyes. This, incidentally, is why he cannot tell the future.

Electric: Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.

Abilities:

Volt Absorb: (Innate) This Pokemon absorbs all electrical attacks and instead of taking damage, recovering 50% of the damage an electrical attack would have done. A Pokemon that attacks itself with electricity to heal only recieves 25% of the damage that attack would do to itself. Thunder Wave has no effect on the Pokemon.
Illuminate: (Can Be Activated) At any point in a match this Pokemon can illuminate the area without using an action, the light is less powerful than Flash.
Water Absorb (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon absorbs water attacks and instead of taking damage from them, recovering 50% of the damage the water attack would have done. A Pokemon that attacks itself with water to heal only recieves 25% of the damage that attack would do to itself.

L is the "sunshine and rainbows", forever positive girl of the team, which irritates X a lot. X personally thinks L absorbed one too many volts as a child and that's what made her like this, and someday those volts are going to fly out of her and she's going to become sane. There is so far no backing to this theory. L has this strange obsession with mascara, which is strange since she has no eyelashes to apply it to. Everyday she just paints it on to her eyelids (she's found the Kingdra's Ink brand is the most water-resistant) and at the end of the day, she can usually just rinse it off with a special saltwater solution (that's why L only swims in freshwater). How L applies the mascara with stubby arms that can't reach her face, no one is quite sure.

I would send out Xatu just to spite you if I really didn't need some MC on Lanturn. Whatever, go L. Use Water Absorb 'cause it might actually be helpful here instead of Volt Absorb and Illuminate sucks.

Fang's eyes dart around the broth, before scooping up a good chunk of noodle and combining it with his internal water sources. The makeshift mud splatters all over Fang and L, while L pulls out an Unown to levitate into the air. However, Fang is ready for this as he knocks L out of the air with his own Unown. L tries to follow up with her electric beam, yet due to the makeshift mud its power is severely cut. Fang finishes the round with a powerful Earthquake, while L counters with a Thunderbolt.

As Fang tunnels deep into his platform and effortlessly swims through the broth, L quickly harnesses one of the nearby Unowns to project a powerful force field repelling Fang's assault. In response, Fang draws out the power of another Unown to forcefully drain L's health. The lightheaded Lanturn sprays a toxic cloud, but it ends up way off the mark. Fang then rocks the soup bowl with another powerful tremor, while L energizes herself with her electrical attack.

On another note, the makeshift mud from earlier has washed away.
