[Overview]

<p>Exeggutor stands out as the only Grass-type that can set up and also perform well in Trick Room, unlike Whimsicott and Celebi, which are too fast for Trick Room. The combination of Harvest, Sitrus Berry, and passable bulk with EV investment enables Exeggutor to withstand attacks from many Pokemon and passively heal them off. Exeggutor can also be used as a special attacker on Sunny Day teams, as it has the highest Special Attack out of a the Chlorophyll users, which can be utilized for sweeping under sunlight.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, the positives end there. Exeggutor's horrid defensive typing leaves it vulnerable to a large list of common Pokemon (though this can be remedied to an extent by Sleep Powder). Many Pokemon resist its STABs, hindering Exeggutor's offensive potential. Chlorophyll sets are also dependent on sunlight to function, and sunlight is difficult to maintain in a metagame where sand, rain, and even hail are more common.</p>

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Leaf Storm
move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Protect
item: Sitrus Berry
ability: Harvest
nature: Sassy
evs: 252 HP / 12 Def / 24 SpA / 220 SpD
ivs: 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Trick Room gives Exeggutor and its slow teammates a Speed advantage over your opponent for five turns; moreover Exeggutor has the durability to set it up. Its typing and incredible passive recovery also differentiate it from other Trick Room users.</p>

<p>Leaf Storm is Exeggutor's most powerful STAB move and has an 81.25% chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed. Psyshock or Psychic are alternative STAB moves that does not lower Exeggutor's special attack whilst providing extra coverage, especially against Fighting- and Poison-types. Psyshock is preferred, as Pokemon in the Doubles metagame are more likely to be specially defensive than physically defensive. Psychic does outdamage Psyshock against some notable Pokemon, though, such as Conkeldurr and Kyurem-B. Protect is obligatory to keep Exeggutor safe against Pokemon that threaten Exeggutor whilst your other Pokemon on the field can threaten it, and, in addition to its normal myriad of uses, provides more opportunities for Harvest to activate.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Harvest and Sitrus Berry are what enables Exeggutor to withstand trauma, giving it incredible passive recovery. Its Special bulk enables it to truly utilize this combo. With the given EV spread, Exeggutor will always survive Timid Latios' Dragon Gem Draco Meteor, and Modest 252 SpA Politoed' Ice Beam will deal 51.77% damage maximum (on that note, Exeggutor is brilliant against rain teams, as it fairs similarly well against other Water-types). 12 Defense EVs guarantee survival against Tyranitar's unboosted Crunch. Sleep Powder can be used instead of one of Exeggutor's STAB moves for sleep support, but Exeggutor then loses out on valuable coverage.</p>

<p>Exeggutor is not a Pokemon that you can just slap on the team; the team needs to effectively utilise Exeggutor's Grass typing for synergy. This is the main reason to use Exeggutor as a Trick Room setter. Otherwise you would be better off with another Pokemon to set up Trick Room. Heatran as a teammate benefits from Trick Room whilst providing excellent defensive synergy with Exeggutor; in addition, it covers Scizor, Genesect, and Bisharp, all of which counter Exeggutor. In return, Exeggutor manhandles the Water-types who wall Heatran. The same applies to other Fire-types such as Chandelure and Victini, though they don't synergize as well defensively. On that note, Chandelure and Victini can also set up Trick Room. Cresselia can use Sunny Day to give Harvest a 100% chance of restoring a Berry and can also be a second Trick Room setter for the team. Quiet Ninetales holding an Iron Ball also sets up sunlight and benefits from Exeggutor's Trick Room and ability to handle Water-types. Water-types also work well as teammates, covering the Fire-types such as Heatran that threaten Exeggutor. Exeggutor in turn checks two of the most common Grass-types that threaten Water-types, Amoonguss and Breloom, as well as Electric-types like Thundurus and Zapdos. Although Jellicent shares Exeggutor's weaknesses to Ghost and Dark, it can provide burn support through Scald and Will-O-Wisp to neuter physical threats so that less Pokemon can break through Exeggutor's passive recovery whilst acting as a secondary Trick Room setter.</p>

<p>Fake Out support increases the likelihood that Exeggutor can pull off Trick Room. Follow Me and Rage Powder support also achieve this, but Fake Out is preferred, as unlike Fake Out, they are ineffective against Heat Wave and Blizzard, both of which hit Exeggutor super effectively. Hitmontop and Scrafty can provide Fake Out support, whilst benefiting from Trick Room. They also provide Intimidate support, which enables Exeggutor to utilize Harvest more easily, and threaten Tyranitar and Bisharp for Exeggutor.</p>

[SET]
name: Chlorophyll
move 1: Leaf Storm / Grass Knot
move 2: Psychic / Psyshock
move 3: Sleep Powder
move 4: Protect
item: Life Orb / Focus Sash
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Modest
evs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD / 216 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Chlorophyll utilizes Exeggutor's massive Special Attack and pairs it with incredible Speed for a sweeping approach. Be warned though, much of the metagame can OHKO Exeggutor without EV investment in defenses due to its many weaknesses and lack of bulk to cover them.</p>

<p>Leaf Storm is the main move due to its raw power — when backed by Life Orb, it nets a guaranteed OHKO on 0 HP Garchomp and 252 HP Landorus-T and Tyranitar even in sand; all of the said Pokemon commonly trouble sun teams. Grass Knot is a less powerful alternative that does not cause a Special Attack drop, and it has 100 or 120 Base Power against much of the metagame. But be warned, it misses out on OHKOes against many notable threats, such as Rotom-W and Politoed. Psychic or Psyshock provides a secondary STAB option that can OHKO the multitude of Fighting-types in Doubles. Psychic is slashed first as it OHKOes Conkeldurr even without a Life Orb, but Psyshock only has a 56.25% chance to OHKO the standard 96 HP / 80 Def Conkeldurr with a Life Orb and a 0% chance when unboosted. Both options will OHKO Hitmontop, the premier Fighting-type of doubles. Sleep Powder can immobilize an opposing Pokemon for the rest of the battle, as they will most likely switch out after being put to sleep. Furthermore, it allows Exeggutor to dodge Sucker Punch. Protect keeps Exeggutor safe for a turn, or alternatively, gives an ally Pokemon a chance to set up sunlight to activate Chlorophyll.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Life Orb maximizes Exeggutor's offense capabilities and, therefore, gets the first slash. It is strongly recommended if using Leaf Storm in order to score the aforementioned OHKOs. Furthermore, Life Orb recoil means little when much of the metagame will OHKO Exeggutor even at full health. On that topic, Focus Sash is also viable to ensure Exeggutor will survive at least one attack. The EVs maximize Special Attack and enable Exeggutor to outspeed neutral-natured Deoxys-A and positive-natured base 130s in the sun. 32 HP EVs provide a Life Orb number, minimizing Life Orb recoil. The rest is dumped into Special Defense. If not using Life Orb, reallocate Exeggutor's Special Defense EVs into HP.</p>

<p>Exeggutor has many coverage moves that it can utilize instead of either Psyshock or Psychic, as well as Sleep Powder. Hidden Power Fire nails Steel-types that resist Exeggutor's STABs, and it gets pseudo-STAB in sun. Be warned that Scizor and Genesect holding an Occa Berry or Focus Sash can survive Hidden Power Fire OHKO Exeggutor back with their Bug-type attacks. Hidden Power Ground nails Heatran, which otherwise walls Exeggutor to death and OHKOes it in return. Hidden Power Ground will always OHKO 4 HP / 0 SpD sets without Shuca Berry provided Exeggutor holds a Life Orb, and has a chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD sets. Hidden Power Ice provides coverage against the multitude of Dragon-types, and OHKOs 4x Ice-weak Dragon-types and Landorus-T with a Life Orb boost unless they hold a Yache Berry or Focus Sash (sadly, most Landorus-T hold one of these items). Solarbeam can also be used as a Grass-type STAB move without Leaf Storm's Special Attack drop and Grass Knot's low Base Power against Pokemon with low weight. However, it is unreliable, as it renders Exeggutor a sitting duck when used outside sun, and as such is much less useful against the omnipresent Politoed and Tyranitar, which can remove sun upon switching in.</p>

<p>Either Ninetales or a Sunny Day user is required as a teammate, though both can be run on the same team. Without it, there is no point in using Chlorophyll, and Exeggutor becomes a liability; this cannot be stressed enough. With no Speed or bulk, it will be KOed easily before it does anything. Pairing Exeggutor with Fire-types work well once again, as they can nail Steel-types which otherwise wall Exeggutor, and also benefit from the sun that Exeggutor desperately needs to function. In return, Exeggutor can potentially OHKO Tyranitar and Politoed with Leaf Storm (and Abomasnow if running Hidden Power Fire), who are huge threats to sun teams thanks to their weather-inducing abilities.</p>

[Other Options]

<p>Giga Drain can be used for a Grass-type STAB move, but it is weak and cannot 2HKO Tyranitar, who will 2HKO back at worse. Exeggutor benefits little from Giga Drain's recovery when it already has extensive passive recovery with Sitrus Berry + Harvest. In addition, Hidden Power Ground, Low Kick, and Nature Power are coverage options against Steel-types. Low Kick also smacks Tyranitar hard. Nature Power becomes Earthquake and deals similar damage to Hidden Power Ground but targets every other Pokemon on the field. Power Swap can be used in tandem with Leaf Storm to pass Exeggutor's Special Attack drop to an opposing Pokemon, though it requires a moveslot, and the Special Attack drop can be offset by simply switching. Exeggutor set up Reflect and Light Screen, but Exeggutor has more important roles. This is better left to bulkier or faster Pokemon that can set up screens more reliably. Substitute sounds good in theory on a Pokemon who can easily restore HP passively and can set it up on a predicted double-Protect (which is used to stall out Trick Room), but it is not as impressive in practice; Exeggutor's Substitutes are easily broken, Exeggutor already has 4 moveslot syndrome, and it doesn't gel well with Leaf Storm's Special Attack drop.</p>

<p>Exeggutor can use Harvest without Trick Room. The main issue with this is that Exeggutor's match-ups against Pokemon tend to be very one-sided; opposing Pokemon are generally either easily walled by Exeggutor, or easily counter or check Harvest Exeggutor. Depending on your opponent's team, if it has many Pokemon in the latter category (which is not uncommon), Exeggutor can be a liability. Trick Room fortunately generally ensures that Exeggutor will at least have some use, whereas Exeggutor otherwise has trouble achieving anything notable when it can do little to much of the opponent's team whilst taking major damage in return. Other bulky Grass-type, such as Amoonguss, and other offensive types such as Shaymin-S, are more likely to be useful against such teams. Finally Lum Berry and Rest can be combined with Harvest for status immunity and full HP recovery, but it is difficult to give up a moveslot for Rest, and Exeggutor might not find the time to use Rest.</p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p>As a general rule of thumb, any Pokemon with a STAB super effective move can break through Harvest Exeggutor, as such a move usually does enough damage to prevent Exeggutor from restoring enough HP with Harvest and Sitrus Berry to take two hits even if Exeggutor can take one hit. This list of Pokemon is surprisingly large. Scizor, Genesect, Hydreigon, Heatran, Bisharp, and Escavalier all laugh at Exeggutor's STAB moves and hit it back super effectively with their STABs. Be warned, however, that Hidden Power Fire can 2HKO or OHKO most Steel-types, with the notable exception of Heatran. Volcarona, Abomasnow, Shaymin-S, Salamence, and Tornadus also hit Exeggutor hard whilst resisting Exeggutor's most powerful move, Leaf Storm. Despite being weak to one of Exeggutor's STABs, Tyranitar and Heracross can take a STAB Leaf Storm and Psychic-type STAB of choice respectively, and hit hard with their STABs. Metagross is one of the few Pokemon that can outmuscle Exeggutor without super effective hits, thanks to shrugging off Exeggutor's STAB moves and gaining potential Attack boosts with Meteor Mash. Any Pokemon running U-turn will probably 2HKO Exeggutor; and Landorus-T has a guaranteed OHKO on Exeggutor with it. Jirachi can redirect Exeggutor's attacks with Follow Me and easily shrug them off with its typing and bulk, whilst its teammate takes out Exeggutor.</p>

<p>All the Pokemon mentioned above can also check Chlorophyll Exeggutor and, as it lacks bulk, most of them will be able to OHKO Exeggutor. However, they will have to watch out for Sleep Powder and coverage moves such as Hidden Power. Note that the appropriate resistance Berry can enable them to withstand the appropriate coverage move. Exeggutor can be outrun and OHKOed by common Choice Scarf users, such as Genesect, Landorus-T, Tyranitar, and Terrakion with X-Scissor. Bisharp bypasses Exeggutor's Speed and with Sucker Punch, which OHKOes it. Removing sun from the field will make Exeggutor much easier to handle; low Speed combined with many weaknesses and weak Special Defense makes it prey for many Pokemon. Abomasnow is the best weather inducer for this job, as the others are either weak to Grass or set up sun themselves. By extension, Trick Room also renders Chlorophyll Exeggutor vulnerable. Regardless of its set, Exeggutor is walled by Cresselia, which can utilize its multitude of support moves or even hit back with Ice Beam.</p>

Hi n_n so most of my suggestions are GP related but…..
  • [SET COMMENTS] and [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS] are capitalized.
  • dont ever ever ever use 'crux of the set' it's a skeleton but still js
  • imo AC giga drain since i wouldn't want to switch out after setting up TR, js n_n
  • OO HP Ground? Hitting most steels+HEATRAN is pretty good imo
  • AC or OO lumrest?
now i'm not QC or anything so feel free to ignore my suggestions n_n

ok, some other things Darkmalice:
  • agreeing w/ kingler that hp ground deserves a mention in oo
  • scrap nature power from oo
  • mention grass knot in oo for if someone doesnt like the drops from leaf storm. hits heavier mons the same too
  • be sure to mention what benefits hp fire & low kick have individually
  • remove mention of crits in c&c
  • mention screens in OO
once the changes are implemented this is lookin nice, figure i'll start you off w/ a check

I think Nature Power should stay. Nature Power turns into Earthquake, which offers Exeggutor a way to severely cripple Heatran, one of the prevalent threats of BW2 Dubs

I've made the recommended changes
-Kept Nature Power in OO
-Removed crits
-Mentioned Giga Drain, Grass Knot, HP Ground, Screens and Lum Berry + Rest in OO
-Explained all OO options, with greater discussion for Giga Drain and Grass Knot. I personally think they should stay OO, but I am not opposed to moving them to AC if QC disagrees

One problem with Nature Power is that it is technically a status move, and is hence prevented by Taunt. With Taunt everywhere, and Exeggutor a likely target with Trick Room and Sleep Powder in its arsenal, this is actually a fairly big issue.

The Pokemon that use Taunt are usually not Pokemon you would want to be using Nature Power against e.g. Thundurus, Gyarados, or they would rather straight-up attack Exeggutor, such as Infernape

As the person from the QC team who has actually beaten Pwnemon with Exeggutor, I have a lot to recommend in terms of Exeggutor.

A better spread for your TR set is 252 HP / 12 Def / 24 SpA / 220 SpD. This allows you to always survive an unboosted Crunch off of max attack Adamant Tyranitar, which is an incredibly common attack. You could stick with the old spread if you don't mind Crunch OHKOing 12.5% of the time though, I suppose.

Trick Room is certainly great, but Chlorophyll has some really good potential, as a Life Orb-boosted Leaf Storm from Exeggutor OHKOs 252 HP Tyranitar in sand 100% of the time (actually accomplishes this all the way up to 252 HP / 48 SpD Tyranitar). This means Exeggutor can help win weather wars, and imo it definitely deserves a set (probably towards the bottom of the list, but still). Something like this is what I envision:

[SET]
name: Chlorophyll Attacker
move 1: Sleep Powder / Hidden Power Ice
move 2: Leaf Storm
move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Protect
item: Life Orb
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Modest
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 16 SpD / 208 Spe

The spread provides enough speed to move before positive natured base 130s in the sun. 32 HP hits one less than a multiple of 10 to minimize LO recoil, and I put the remaining 16 EVs into SpD since it could use a boost.

I also think Power Swap deserves an OO mention at the least, as in tandem with Leaf Storm you can cripple special attackers while removing your SpA drops.

Finally:
  • Can abuse Harvest without Trick Room, but then faces competition from Amoonguss in as a bulky Grass-type due to Amoonguss' better bulk, superior typing, and stronger support movepool
This is hardly true. Even when EV'd to be bulky, Exeggutor has loads more offensive presence than Amoonguss. For example:

24 SpA Exeggutor Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 100+ SpD Rotom-W: 290-344 (95.3 - 113.1%)
24 SpA Exeggutor Leaf Storm vs. 240 HP / 16 SpD Rotom-W: 348-410 (115.6 - 136.2%)
24 SpA Exeggutor Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed: 372-440 (96.8 - 114.5%)
24 SpA Exeggutor Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Hitmontop: 222-264 (73 - 86.8%)
24 SpA Exeggutor Leaf Storm vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 225-265 (70.3 - 82.8%)
24 SpA Exeggutor Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 144-169 (39.7 - 46.6%)

In my opinion, other options are certainly plausible over Trick Room on the bulky set. In fact, I might even recommend calling the set "Bulky Attacker" or something like that and then slashing Power Swap after Trick Room.

As a last note, a VGC Team Report actually talks a bit about bulky Exeggutor. While VGC is a different metagame, a lot of the comments on Exeggutor are applicable to the Smogon Doubles metagame, so I think it would be a good read to help make this skeleton even better (its already great imo, but still).

Good suggestions.

I agree with your EV spread. I admit I found the extra SpA more useful than the Def, but that was due to my team and how I played; the extra Def would generally be more useful.

I added a Chlorophyll spread but made a few changes with slashes (explained in the set).

Mentioned Power Swap with OO

Regarding Harvest without Trick Room, I've tried it and generally found it to be highly match-up dependent to the point that it becomes useless against certain teams. more so than other Grass-types. I did not explain it clearly before and I apologise. I should have wrote something along the lines of what I wrote now:

Can abuse Harvest without Trick Room. The main issue with this is that match-ups against Pokemon tend to be very one-sided. Opposing Pokemon are generally either walled by Exeggutor, or easily counter or check Harvest Exeggutor. Depending on your opponent's team, if they have many Pokemon in the latter category (which is not that uncommon), Exeggutor can be a liability. I've read Wolfe's team before using Exeggutor. Bulky attacker works better in VGC than doubles due to the match-up issue - if Exeggutor has a bad team-match-up in VGC, just don't use it, where as you're forced to always use it in doubles. Wolfe's finals against Ray Rizzo in 2012 is a good example; Exeggutor flat out loses to Hydreigon and fairs poorly against Tyranitar, Metagross, and Cresselia, so it wasn't chosen in either of the two battles. If you still disagree, I will change the set, but I feel it's best mentioned in OO.

Never actually used Exeggutor and don't think I've faced many piloted by good players (and probably won't in gen VI now Gourgeist is around), so take these suggestions with a punch of salt.

AC1 - what do the 12 defense EVs do? You never say... (though I'd guess surviving Ttar's Crunch? Gen V damage calc has gone now so I can't check it)

AC1 - since you mentioned Heatran and Chandelure, you can also mention Victini as a Poke that loves/can set Trick Room, and also loves sun.

AC2 - It's definitely worth investing a little bit more speed (I think it's just 4 EVs) to outrun neutral-natured Deoxys-A.

AC2 - is Ninetales required as a teammate? I think the general consensus towards the end of BW2 Doubles was that you are honestly better using manual Sunny Day. I like to think of this set as a weather check: set Sunny Day while Tyranitar or Politoed is in, OHKO them with Leaf Storm and you have removed your opponent's weather for the rest of the match.

OO - Substitute seems to get an OO mention on every analysis, but with you potentially getting the HP back for free with Harvest I think it could be especially good here.

OO - Also Solar Beam on the Chlorophyll set. I know you shouldn't ever use it but OO is for moves that generally aren't worth using, and you can explain why Solar Beam sucks balls.

C&C - I think Genesect deserves special mention since it is often scarfed and can outrun even the Chlorophyll set.

Chlorophyll:
Psychic gets the first slash, as it will OHKO Conkeldurr even without a Life Orb, where as Psyshock only has a 51.75% chance to OHKO standard 96 HP / 80 SpD Conkledurr with a Life Orb
252+ SpA Life Orb Exeggutor Psyshock vs. 96 HP / 80 Def Conkeldurr: 351-413 (93.6 - 110.13%) -- 56.25% chance to OHKO - your percentage is slightly off. Also make sure to not that this Conkeldurr has 80 Def, because you make it read as if it has no Def EVs.

It's worth noting that the Chlorophyll Exeggutor can OHKO max HP Landorus-T with Leaf Storm and min HP Garchomp, two Pokemon that can give Fire-types in sun teams trouble. Note that Grass Knot misses out on all of these KOs, in addition to KOs on Rotom-W and Politoed :(

Just like noobcubed has mentioned, SolarBeam is more appropriate in the AC of the Chlorophyll set than in OO.

Checks and Counters:
By extension, Trick Room will also render Exeggutor vulnerable
Specify that this is referring to Chlorophyll Exeggutor - it's confusing at first, since the very first set's main purpose was to set up Trick Room.

Excellent work, Darkmalice! Welcome back :toast:

Darkmalice, before I check this, I'd like to ask if you still have the skeleton somewhere... The point of the skeleton is to be a basic overview; and the writer then writes each of the paragraphs to reflect what is in the skeleton. This also means that part of the 3rd check is seeing if all of the bullet points are explained thoroughly (the other part is removing fluffy stuff)

Thanks, Laga, for checking this. Here's the skelly for your reference

  • [Overview]
    • Has a specific niche as a Grass-type that can set up Trick Room, shared only with Celebi (too fast) and Whimsicott (lacks bulk)
    • With Harvest + Sitrus and decent bulk, can withstand attacks from many Pokemon. Makes it good user of Trick Room
    • With strong Special attack and Chlorophyll, can sweep under sunlight
    • Horrible defensive typing leaves it vulnerable to many Pokemon.
    • Many common Pokemon also resist its STABs

    [SET]
    name: Trick Room
    move 1: Trick Room
    move 2: Leaf Storm
    move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
    move 4: Protect
    item: Sitrus Berry
    ability: Harvest
    nature: Sassy
    EVs: 252 HP / 12 Def / 24 SpA / 220 SpD
    ivs: 0 Spe

    [SET COMMENTS]
    • Not a Pokemon that you can just slap on the team; the team needs to be able to take good advantage of the Grass-type for defensive synergy, for example, FWG core TR team
    • Trick Room gives Exeggutor and its teammates a speed advantage over your opponent for 4 turns (5 including the set-up turn).
    • Leaf Storm is Exeggutor's most powerful STAB and has a a 81.25% chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed with Leaf Storm
    • Psyshock / Psychic provide an alternative STAB that does not have a drawback to it and provides extra coverage
    • Psyshock is preferred as Pokemon in the doubles metagame are more likely to be specially defensive than physically defensive, and you have Leaf Storm to hit hard on the special side. Psychic does outdamage Psyshock against some Pokemon though, most notably Conkeldurr.
    • Protect is Protect, but also provides more opportunities for Harvest to activate
    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
    • Harvest + Sitrus Berry is what makes Exeggutor able to withstand trauma, giving incredible passive recovery
    • Special bulk enables it to truly abuse Harvest + Sitrus Berry. With given EV spread, will always survive Timid Latios’s Dragon Gem Draco Meteor, and Modest 252 SpA Politoed’s Ice Beam deals 51.77% damage max. 12 Def EVs to always survive Tyranitar's unboosted Crunch.
    • Sleep Powder can be used over one of your STABs for sleep support, but you lose coverage
    • The main reason to use Exeggutor as a Trick Room settler is a Grass-type; teammates should be able to capitalise on the benefits of this type
    • Heatran as a teammate benefits from Trick Room whilst providing excellent defensive synergy with Exeggutor. Heatran also covers Scizor, Genesect and Bisharp who counter Exeggutor. In turn Exeggutor manhandles Water-types who wall Heatran (Exeggutor is brilliant against rain teams)
    • The same applies to other Fire-types like Chandelure and Victini (though they are poor answers for Bisharp)
    • On that note, Chandelure and Victini can also set up Trick Room. Exeggutor should always be paired with another Trick Room user, as its many weaknesses make it unreliable as a sole Trick Room settler
    • Sunny Day Cresselia can both set up Trick Room and provide sunlight to give Harvest a 100% chance of restoring a Berry
    • Quiet Ninetales holding an Iron Ball also sets up sunlight and benefits from Exeggutor's Trick Room and ability to handle Water-types
    • Fake Out increases the likelihood that Exeggutor can pull off Trick Room. So does Follow Me / Rage Powder support, but Fake Out is preferred, as it is effective against Heat Wave and Blizzard, which hit Exeggutor super-effectively. Hitmontop and Scrafty can provide Fake Out support whilst benefiting from Trick Room. They also provide Intimidate support to enable Exeggutor to abuse Harvest more easily, and cover Tyranitar and Bisharp for Exeggutor.
    • Due to Exeggutor's multiude of weaknesses, if using Trick Room, Exeggutor should not be the only Trick Room settler on your team

item: Life Orb / Focus Sash
    ability: Chlorophyll
    nature: Modest
    EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD / 216 Spe
    • Chlorophyll utilises Exeggutor massive Special Attack for a sweeping approach
    • Be warned, much of the metagame can OHKO Exeggutor without defensve EV investment due to its multitude of weaknesses and lack of bulk to cover them
    • Leaf Storm is the main move due to its raw power - when backed with LIfe Orb, it nets a guaranteed OHKO on min HP Garchomp and max HP Landorus-T and Tyranitar even in sand, Pokemon who commonly trouble sun teams.
    • Grass Knot is a less powerful alternative than Leaf Storm, but it does not cause a Special Attack drop, and it has 100 or 120 base power against much of the metagame. But be warned, it misses OHKOs on many notable threats, such as Rotom-W and Politoed.
    • Leaf Storm is recommended with a Life Orb, and Grass Knot is recommended with a Focus Sash
    • Psychic / Psyshock for an alternative STAB that can OHKO the multitude of Fighting-types in doubles. Psychic is mentioned first
    • Psychic gets the first slash, as it will OHKO Conkeldurr even without a Life Orb, where as Psyshock only has a 56.25% chance to OHKO standard 96 HP / 80 Def Conkledurr with a Life Orb, and 0% without one. Both options will OHKO Hitmontop, the premier Fighting-type of doubles.
    • Sleep Powder takes out a threat that could otherwise OHKO Exeggutor (there are many such Pokemon). It also provides a way to get around Sucker Punch users.
    • Obligatory Protect

    [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
    • Life Orb maximises Exeggutor's offense capabilities and gets the first slash. Life Orb recoil means little when much of the metagame will OHKO it at full health
    • On that topic, Focus Sash is also viable to ensure Exeggutor will survive at least one attack.
    • EVs maximize Special Attack and enable Exeggutor to outspeed neutral-natured Deoxys-A and positive-natured base 130s in the sun. 32 HP provides a Life Orb number, minimizing Life Orb recoil. The rest is dumped into Special Defense. If not using Life Orb, reallocate Exeggutor's Special Defense EVs into HP.
    • Can use one of its many coverage moves instead of either Psyshock / Psychic or Sleep Powder. Hidden Power Fire roasts Steel-types who resist your STABs and becomes pseudo-STAB in sun. It OHKOes Scizor and Genesect. Be warned that they may survive with an Occa Berry and OHKO you right back
    • Hidden Power Ground nails Heatran, who will otherwise wall you to death. It will always OHKO 4 HP / 0 SpD sets without Shuca Berry provided Exeggutor holds a Life Orb, and has a chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD sets
    • Solarbeam could be used as Grass-STAB without Leaf Storm's Special Attack drop and without Grass Knot's low base power against certain Pokemon. However, it is unreliable. It renders Exeggutor a sitting duck if used outside of sun, and as such is much less useful against the omnipresent Politoed and Tyranitar, who can remove sun upon switching in.
    • Hidden Power Ice provides coverage against the multitude of Dragon-types, and OHKOs Landorus-T and Dragon-types with a x4 weakness to Ice accounting for Life Orb unless they hold a Yache Berry or Focus Sash
    • Drought Ninetales and/or a Sunny Day user required as a teammate. Without it, Exeggutor is a liability - this cannot be stressed enough

    [Other Options]
    • Giga Drain as alternate STAB over Leaf Storm without the Special Attack drop. Giga Drain is weak and cannot 2HKO Tyranitar, who will 2HKO you in return. Exeggutor benefits little from Giga Drain's recovery when it already has extensive passive recovery with Sitrus Berry + Harvest. It should also be noted that the STAB alternative of Psyshock or Psychic helps to avoid Leaf Storm's Special Attack drop.
    • In addition to Hidden Power, Low Kick, and Nature Power are coverage options against Steel-types. Low Kick smacks Tyranitar hard and can OHKO 4 HP variants without a Chople Berry or Focus Sash (31.25% chance). Nature Power becomes Earthquake and deals similar damage to Hidden Power Ground but targets every other Pokemon on the field.
    • Power Swap can be used in tandum with Leaf Storm to pass your Special Attack drop to an opposing Pokemon, though it requires a moveslot, and the Special Attack drop can be offset simply by switching
    • Can set up Reflect and Light Screen, but Exeggutor has more important roles. This is better left to bulkier and / or faster Pokemon
    • Substitute in theory sounds good on a Pokemon who can easily restore HP passively and can set it up on a predicted double-protect (to stall out Trick Room), but it is not as impressive in practice. Exeggutor's Substitutes are easily broken, Exeggutor already has 4 moveslot syndrome, and it doesn't gel well with Leaf Storm's special attack drop.
    • Can abuse Harvest without Trick Room. Trick Room fortunately generally ensures that Exeggutor will at least have some use, where as Exeggutor can otherwise have trouble achieving anything notable when it can do little to much of the opponent's team whilst taking major damage in return. Other bulky Grass-types like Amoonguss, and other offensive types like Shaymin-S, are more likely to be useful against such teams.
    • Lum Berry and Rest can be combined with Harvest for status immunity and full HP recovery, but it is difficult to give up a moveslot for Rest, and Exeggutor may not find the time to use Rest.
    [Checks and Counters]
    • <p>As a general rule of thumb, any Pokemon with a STAB super-effective move can break through Harvest Exeggutor, as such a move often does enough damage so that Exeggutor cannot restore enough HP with Harvest + Sitrus Berry to take two hits if it can even take a hit
    • Scizor, Genesect, Hydreigon, Heatran, Bisharp, and Escavalier all laugh at Exeggutor's STAB moves and hit it back super-effectively with their STABs. Be warned that Hidden Power Fire can 2HKO or OHKO the Steel-types
    • Volcarona, Abomasnow, Shaymin-S, Salamence, and Tornadus also hit Exeggutor hard whilst resisting Exeggutor's most powerful move, Leaf Storm
    • Despite being weak to one of Exeggutor's STABs, Tyranitar and Heracross can take a STAB Leaf Storm and Psyshock / Psychic respectively, and hit hard with their STABs
    • Metagross is one of the few Pokemon that can outmuscle Exeggutor without super-effective hits thanks to shrugging off Exeggutor's STABs and potential Attack boosts from Meteor Mash
    • Any Pokemon running U-turn will probably 2HKO Exeggutor - Landorus-T has a guaranteed OHKO
    • Jirachi can redirect Exeggutor's attacks with Follow Me and easily shrug them off</p>
    • <p>Chlorophyll Exeggutor lacks bulk, so all the Pokemon mentioned above with the exception of Metagross and Scarf-less Tyranitar will have no problem OHKOing Exeggutor (the latter due to the threat of Life Orb Leaf Storm, but the former is still a good check). However, they will have to look out for Sleep Powder and coverage moves like Hidden Power. Note that the appropriate resist Berry can enable them to withstand the appropriate coverage move.
    • Exeggutor can be outrun and OHKOed by common Choice Scarf users, such as Genesect, Landorus-T, Tyranitar (if sandstorm is up) and Terrakion (if it has X-scissor)
    • Bisharp ignores Exeggutor's Speed and OHKOes with Sucker Punch
    • Removing sun from the field will make Exeggutor much easier to handle - low Speed with many weaknesses and weak Special Defense makes it prey for many Pokemon. Abomasnow is the best weather-inducer for this job, as the others are either weak to Grass or set up sun themselves.
    • By extension, Trick Room will also render Chlorophyll Exeggutor vulnerable</p>
    • <p>Regardless of its set, Exeggutor is walled by Cresselia, the queen of doubles, which enables her to utilise her multitude of support moves or even hit back with Ice Beam.</p>

Darkmalice, you want a line break between each section name. For example:

[Overview]

<p>Exeggutor has specific niches that justify its use. It is a Grass-type that can set up Trick Room; this is shared only with Whimsicott, who lacks bulk, and Celebi, who is too fast for Trick Room. The combination of Harvest, Sitrus Berry, and passable bulk with EV investment, enable Exeggutor to withstand attacks from many Pokemon and passively heal them off whilst Exeggutor sets up Trick Room or retaliates back with its high Special Attack. On that topic, it is the Chlorophyll user with the highest Special Attack strong, which can be utilised for sweeping under sunlight.</p>

[SET] is the only exception, where there are no line breaks.

Alright your overview has a lot of fixes that need to be taken care of. Sorry if this becomes a lot like a GP check lol.

note: now that I am halfway through, I have realised that I have recently magically become a genius at spotting fluffy text. Sorry if I seem like a dick listing all of those examples lol

note 2: every single time you say "abuse", it should be "use" or "utilize". This is a common mistake that I also used to make.

<p>Exeggutor has specific niches that justify its use. <- this is fluff It Exeggutor is a the only Grass-type that can set up and perform well in Trick Room; this is shared only with Whimsicott who lacks bulk, and Celebi&mdash;both of these are too fast for Trick Room Don't really need mention of Whimsicott's poopy bulk. <p>Unfortunately its positive traits end there. Exeggutor's horrid defensive typing leaves it vulnerable to a large list of common Pokemon. (Mention of Sleep Powder helping vs "Lots of Pokemon" goes here) Lots of Pokemon resist its STABs, hindering Exeggutor's offensive potential. (there was some fluff here, accidently deleted it, but it was fluff lol) Chlorophyll sets are also dependent on sunlight to function, and sunlight is difficult to maintain in a metagame where sand, rain, and even hail are more common than sun.</p>

Alright, from here on it will obviously be in bullet point mode instead of GP lol

- In your first Set Comments paragraph, you mention that it controls speed for "4 turns (5 turns including the setup turn)". Just write 5 turns, that's the official turn count for Trick Room, and the parenthesis is very unnecessary fluff.

- "Psyshock or Psychic is an alternative STAB that does not have a negative effect attached to it whilst providing extra coverage." this sentence (in your second paragraph) is really not very well worded, and it would be cool if you could cut the italic part of the sentence out, and maybe replace it with "against Fighting- and Poison-types" at the end of it, since it fits better, and is less fluffy. Also change alternative to extra or something like that alternative fits better when mentioning slashes. The sentence would then end up as "Psyshock or Psychic is an alternative STAB providing extra coverage against Fighting- and Poison-types."

- "and you have Leaf Storm to attack foes on the special side" is fluff

Alright, your first Team Options paragraph in the AC section needs a few fixes, and has a lot of fluffy stuff :p

- "(though they are poor answers for Bisharp)". Just say that they don't synergize as well defensively, Bisharp is not the only thing they can't beat as a team.

- "and when paired with Fire-type allies, form a FWG core" is fluff

- "(provided Sleep Clause is activated)" is fluff

- "(Hidden Power ice is not enough to break through Exeggutor's passive recovery)" is fluff

- "Exeggutor should always be paired with another Trick Room user, as its many weaknesses make it unreliable as a sole Trick Room settler." This is not fluff, but I do not believe that it is correct. On a semi-TR team, it can function just fine as a solo TR setter, so I would just say get rid of it.

Alright now on to the second set

- "Sleep Powder neuters a threat that could otherwise OHKO Exeggutor (there are many such Pokemon). It also provides a method to get around Sucker Punch users." This is actually informative, but written in a kind of awkward, fluffstyle thing. I would reword it to "Sleep Powder can immobilize an opposing Pokemon for the rest of the battle, as they will most likely switch out after being put to Sleep. Furthermore, it allows Exeggutor to dodge Sucker Punch."

- In OO, Both of your parentheses are fluff; "(31.25% chance)" and "(to stall out Trick Room)".

- In C&C, you make your Cresselia sentence too emphasized. Merge it with the second paragraph, and remove "the queen of doubles", as it is fluff.

- "(Tyranitar fears Life Orb Leaf Storm, the other two cannot OHKO but are still good checks)" is fluff

- "(if sandstorm is up)" is almost given if ttar is on the field, therefore fluff

- "Terrakion (if it has X-scissor)" should be reworded to "Terrakion with X-Scissor"

In general, try not to use parentheses at all in analyses, since dashes or semicolons will pretty much always tell you story better ;)

THIS TOOK A DAMN WHILE YOU BETTER BE HAPPY NOW

QC 3/3 now get this to GP =]

Overview]

<p>Exeggutor is the only Grass-type that can set up and perform well in Trick Room. The other Grass-types that can set up Trick Room, Whimsicott and Celebi, are too fast for Trick Room. <p>Unfortunately,(AC) the positives end there. Exeggutor's horrid defensive typing leaves it vulnerable to a large list of common Pokemon (though this can be remedied to an extent by Sleep Powder). Lots of Pokemon resist its STABs, hindering Exeggutor's offensive potential. Chlorophyll sets are also dependent on sunlight to function, and sunlight is difficult to maintain in a metagame where sand, rain, and even hail are more common than sun.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Trick Room gives Exeggutor and its teammates a speed Speed advantage over your opponent for 5 five turns, and Exeggutor has the durability to set it up. Its typing and incredible passive recovery differentiates it from other Trick Room users.(period)</p>

<p>Leaf Storm is Exeggutor's most powerful STAB move, and it has a a 81.25% chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed with Leaf Storm. Psyshock or Psychic is an are alternative STAB moves that does do not lower your special attack Exeggutor's Special Attack whilst providing extra coverage, especially against Fighting- and Poison-types. Psyshock is preferred,(AC) as Pokemon in the Doubles metagame are more likely to be specially defensive than physically defensive. Psychic does outdamage Psyshock against some notable Pokemon,(AC) though, such as Conkeldurr and Kyurem-B. Protect is Protect(elaborate...), but in addition to its normal myriad of uses, it provides more opportunities for Harvest to activate.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Harvest and Sitrus Berry is what enables Exeggutor to withstand trauma, giving it incredible passive recovery. Its Special special bulk enables it to truly utilize this combo. With given EV spread, Exeggutor will always survive Timid Latios’s(change to straight apostrophe by editing it in the forum editor) Dragon Gem Draco Meteor, and Modest 252 SpA Politoed’s(see latios) Ice Beam will deal 51.77% damage max maximum (on that note, Exeggutor is brilliant against rain teams, as it fairs similarly well against other Water-types). 12 Def Defense EVs guarantees guarantee survival against Tyranitar's unboosted Crunch. Sleep Powder can be used instead of one of your Exeggutor's STAB moves for sleep support, but you Exeggutor then loses out on valuable coverage.</p>

<p>Exeggutor is not a Pokemon that you can just slap on the team; the team needs to effectively utilise Exeggutor's Grass-type typing for synergy. This is the main reason to use Exeggutor as a Trick Room settler setter. Otherwise you would be better off with another Pokemon to set up Trick Room. Heatran as a teammate benefits from Trick Room whilst providing excellent defensive synergy with Exeggutor. Heatran ; in addition, it covers Scizor, Genesect, and Bisharp, who all of which counter Exeggutor. In turn return, Exeggutor manhandles the Water-types who that wall Heatran. The same applies to other Fire-types like such as Chandelure and Victini, though they don't synergize as well defensively. On that note, Chandelure and Victini can also set up Trick Room. Cresselia can use Sunny Day to give Harvest a 100% chance of restoring a Berry and can also be a second Trick Room settler setter for the team. Quiet Ninetales holding an Iron Ball also sets up sunlight and benefits from Exeggutor's Trick Room and ability to handle Water-types. Water-types also work well as teammates, covering the Fire-types like such as Heatran who that threaten Exeggutor. Exeggutor in turn checks two of the most common Grass-types that threaten Water-types, Amoonguss and Breloom, as well as Electric-types like Thundurus and Zapdos. Jellicent, even though it shares a Ghost- and Dark-type weakness with Exeggutor, can also Although Jellicent shares Exeggutor's weaknesses to Ghost and Dark, it can provide burn support through Scald or and(unless it doesnt use both on the same set !_!) Will-O-Wisp to neuter physical threats so that less Pokemon can break through Exeggutor's passive recovery,(AC) whilst acting as a secondary Trick Room settler setter.</p>

<p>Fake Out support increases the likelihood that Exeggutor can pull off Trick Room. Follow Me and Rage Powder support also achieve this, but Fake Out is preferred, as unlike Fake out Out, they are ineffective against Heat Wave and Blizzard, both of which hit Exeggutor super-(remove hyphen)(space)effectively. Hitmontop and Scrafty can provide Fake Out support,(AC) whilst benefiting from Trick Room. They also provide Intimidate support to enable , which enables Exeggutor to utilize Harvest more easily, whilst threatening and threaten Tyranitar and Bisharp for Exeggutor.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Chlorophyll utilises Exeggutor utilizes Exeggutor's massive Special Attack and pairs it with incredible Speed for a sweeping approach. Be warned, much of the metagame can OHKO Exeggutor without defensve EV investment in defenses due to its many weaknesses and its lack of bulk to cover them.</p>

<p>Leaf Storm is the main move due to its raw power -(change to '&mdash;' or semicolon) when backed with Life Orb, it nets a guaranteed OHKO on min 0 HP (maybe specify spdef evs?) Garchomp and max 252 HP Landorus-T and Tyranitar even in sand,(RC) ; all of said Pokemon who commonly trouble sun teams. Grass Knot is a less powerful alternative that does not cause a Special Attack drop, and it has 100 or 120 base power Base Power against much of the metagame. But be warned, it misses OHKOes out on OHKOs against many notable threats, such as Rotom-W and Politoed. Psychic or Psyshock provides a secondary STAB option that can OHKO the multitude of Fighting-types in doubles Doubles. Psychic is slashed first,(AC) as it OHKOes Conkeldurr even without a Life Orb, but ;(semi) Psyshock only has a 56.25% chance to OHKO the standard 96 HP / 80 Def Conkledurr Conkeldurr with a Life Orb and a 0% chance when unboosted. Both options will OHKO Hitmontop, the premier Fighting-type of doubles Doubles. Sleep Powder can immobilize an opposing Pokemon for the rest of the battle, as they will most likely switch out after being put to Sleep sleep. Furthermore, it allows Exeggutor to dodge Sucker Punch. Protect is obligatory to keep Exeggutor safe against Pokemon that threaten it,(AC) whilst your other Pokemon can threaten it,(AC) or alternatively,(AC) gives you(do you mean exeggutor ?_? bc sunny day is not on the set) a chance to set up sunlight to activate Chlorophyll.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Life Orb maximises maximizes Exeggutor's offense capabilities and, therefore, gets the first slash. It is strongly recommended if using Leaf Storm in order to score the aforementioned OHKOes OHKOs. Furthermore, Life Orb recoil means little when much of the metagame will OHKO Exeggutor even at full health. On that topic, Focus Sash is also viable to ensure Exeggutor will survive at least one attack. <p>Exeggutor has many coverage moves that it can utilise utilize instead of either Psyshock / Psychic or Sleep Powder Psyshock or Psychic, as well as Sleep Powder. Hidden Power Fire roasts(never use this phrase in c&c, change) Steel-types who resist your that resist Exeggutor's STABs, and it becomes gets pseudo-STAB in sun. It OHKOes Scizor and Genesect(why didnt you mention this under steel types). Be warned that they may survive with an Occa Berry variants can survive Hidden Power Fire and OHKO you Exeggutor back with their Bug-type attacks. Hidden Power Ground nails Heatran, who which otherwise walls you Exeggutor to death and OHKOes you it in return. Hidden Power Ground will always OHKO 4 HP / 0 SpD sets without Shuca Berry provided Exeggutor holds a Life Orb, and it has a chance to OHKO 252 HP / 0 SpD sets. Hidden Power Ice provides coverage against the multitude of Dragon-types, and OHKOs Landorus-T and 4x Ice-weak Dragon-types with a quadruple Ice-type weakness with a Life Orb boost unless they hold a Yache Berry or Focus Sash (sadly,(AC) most Landorus-T holds hold one of these items). Solarbeam can also be used as Grass-type STAB move without Leaf Storm's Special Attack drop and without Grass Knot's low base power against low weight Pokemon Base Power against Pokemon with low weight. However, it is unreliable. It , as renders Exeggutor a sitting duck if used when outside of sun, and as such is much less useful against the omnipresent Politoed and Tyranitar, who which can remove sun upon switching in.</p>

<p>Either Ninetales and/or or a Sunny Day user (though both can be run on the same team) is required as a teammate. Without it, there is no point in using Chlorophyll, and Exeggutor is becomes a liability -(change to semi) this cannot be stressed enough. With no Speed or bulk, it will be KOed easily before it does anything. <In return, Exeggutor can potentially OHKO Tyranitar and Politoed with Leaf Storm (and Abomasnow if running Hidden Power Fire), who are huge threats to sun teams thanks to their weather-inducing abilities.>[move to third line in this para) Pairing Exeggutor with Fire-types work well,(RC) once again,(AC) as they can roast(see earlier comment regarding 'roasts') Steel-types who which otherwise wall Exeggutor, and they also benefit from the sun that Exeggutor desperately needs to function.</p>

[Other Options]

<p>Giga Drain can be used for a Grass-type STAB move, but it is weak and cannot 2HKO Tyranitar, who which will 2HKO you Exeggutor at worst in return at worse. Exeggutor benefits little from Giga Drain's recovery when it already has extensive passive recovery with Sitrus Berry + Harvest. In addition to ,(AC)Hidden Power, Low Kick, and Nature Power are coverage options against Steel-types. Low Kick also smacks Tyranitar hard. Nature Power becomes Earthquake and deals similar damage to Hidden Power Ground,(AC) but targets every other Pokemon on the field (you don't talk about the viability of it, though -_-). Power Swap can be used in tandrum tandem with Leaf Storm to pass your Exeggutor's Special Attack drop to an opposing Pokemon, though it requires a moveslot, and the Special Attack drop can be offset simply by simply switching. Exeggutor set up Reflect and Light Screen, but Exeggutor has more important roles. This is better left to bulkier and/or or faster Pokemon that can set up screens more reliably. Substitute in theory sounds good in theory on a Pokemon who which can easily restore HP passively and can set it up on a predicted double-protect double-Protect (which is used to stall out Trick Room), but it is not as impressive in practice.(change to semi) Exeggutor's Substitutes are easily broken, Exeggutor already has 4 four-moveslot syndrome, and it doesn't gel well with Leaf Storm's special attack Special Attack drop.</p>

<p>Exeggutor can use Harvest without Trick Room. The main issue with this is that Exeggutor's match-ups against Pokemon tend to be very one-sided.(change to smei) Opposing Pokemon are generally either easily walled by Exeggutor, or easily counter or check Harvest Exeggutor. Depending on your opponent's team, if it has many Pokemon in the latter category (which is not uncommon), Exeggutor can be a liability. Trick Room fortunately generally ensures that Exeggutor will at least have some use, where(remove space)as Exeggutor otherwise has trouble achieving anything notable when it can do little to much of the opponent's team whilst taking major damage in return. Finally,(AC) Lum Berry and Rest can be combined with Harvest for status immunity and full HP recovery, but it is difficult to give up a moveslot for Rest, and Exeggutor may might not find the time to use Rest.</p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p>As a general rule of thumb, any Pokemon with a STAB super-(RH)effective move can break through Harvest Exeggutor, as such a move usually does enough damage to prevent Exeggutor from restoring enough HP with Harvest and Sitrus Berry to take two hits even if Exeggutor can take one hit. This list of Pokemon is surprisingly large.(change to colon) Scizor, Genesect, Hydreigon, Heatran, Bisharp, and Escavalier all laugh at Exeggutor's STAB moves and hit it back super-(RH)effectively with their STAB moves. Be warned, however, that Hidden Power Fire can 2HKO or OHKO the most Steel-types,(AC) with the notable exception of Heatran. Metagross is one of the few Pokemon that can outmuscle Exeggutor without super-(RH)effective hits,(AC) thanks to shrugging off Exeggutor's STAB moves and gaining potential Attack boosts with Meteor Mash. Any Pokemon running U-turn will probably 2HKO Exeggutor, and ;(semi) Landorus-T has a guaranteed OHKO on Exeggutor with it. Jirachi can redirect Exeggutor's attacks with Follow Me and easily shrug them off with its typing and bulk, whilst its teammate takes out Exeggutor.</p>

<p>All the Pokemon mentioned above can also check Chlorophyll Exeggutor,(RC) and,(AC) as (said variant of?) Exeggutor lacks bulk, most of them will be able to OHKO Exeggutor. However, they will have to watch out for Sleep Powder and coverage moves such as Hidden Power. Note that the appropriate resistance Berry can enable them to withstand the appropriate coverage move. Exeggutor can be outrun and OHKOed by common Choice Scarf users, such as Genesect, Landorus-T, Tyranitar, and Terrakion with X-scissor X-Scissor. Bisharp ignores bypasses Exeggutor's Speed and OHKOes with Sucker Punch, which OHKOes it. Removing sun from the field will make Exeggutor much easier to handle -(change to semi) low base Speed combined with many weaknesses and weak Special Defense makes it prey for many Pokemon. Abomasnow is the best weather-(RH)inducer for this job, as the others are either weak to Grass or set up sun themselves..(remove extra period) By extension, Trick Room will also renders Chlorophyll Exeggutor vulnerable. Regardless of its set, Exeggutor is walled by Cresselia, which enables her to utilise her can utilize its multitude of support moves or even hit back with Ice Beam.</p>

Kingler12345: i had this problem on one of my analyses that was checked last gen: the proper is apparently "12 Defense EVs guarantees," though the two grammar checkers disagreed on it. It makes sense to me, because the effort values themselves aren't guaranteeing anything, there's an unsaid gerund "Running" which does the guaranteeing.

Implemented GP check. Regarding your comment about adding elaborating on the uses of Protect in the first set, I've changed the Protect description to this.

Protect is obligatory to keep Exeggutor safe against Pokemon that threaten Exeggutor whilst your other Pokemon on the field can threaten it, and, in addition to its normal myriad of uses, provides more opportunities for Harvest to activate.</p>
