Rules:

2 day DQ
2 Recoveries / 5 Chills

Abilities: ALL
Arena: Fairy Gym Arena
The ASB TournamentFairy-type Gym Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fansFairy-type Pokemon, the ASBFairy-type Gym Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are ALMOST no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle. However, the Fairy spectators are impatient and want to see a match. If a trainer hesitates excessively during the battle (read: goes over DQ), they will swarm and attack.

Summary:
- Standard rules
- If you go over DQ (however slightly), the fairies will brutally murder you [Note: if you post in LOA, or give a not-shitty reason AHEAD OF TIME, I won't DQ you]

Pay special attention to Bariyaado the Mr. Mime. TBH this is emma's best mon by far, but that is not the main reason. Focus Blast and Technician Hidden power means that it is the only mon that can hit (mega)steelix and (mega)aggron consistently and its weight and Filter (and the obvious Rocky Helmet) means that tavok can't hit it THAT hard (still hits hard tho). A good use of Mr. Mime will make Emma, so removing it from the equation should be top priority.

Team Challenger

Bruno (Steelix (M))
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Ground: Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Abilities:

- Rock Head (Passive): This Pokemon's hard body prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

- Sturdy (Passive): This Pokemon's body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

- Sheer Force (Toggle) (UNLOCKED): At default this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). The Base Attack Power of every move with a secondary effect increases by two (2), but they will never have their usual secondary effect. When toggled, no effect.

- Sand Force (Pasive) (MEGA): This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, using the power of the swirling sand to augment its Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-typed attacks. Each of this Pokemon's Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-typed attacks will have the Base Attack Power increased by two (2). Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.

Stalker (Kitsunoh (M))
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.

Abilities:

- Frisk (Passive): The Pokemon has intimate knowledge of the opponent's held item and ignores any item-based increases or decreases in damage, BAP and STAB from the opponent's item. This will not block the increase in BAP moves like Acrobatics and Knock Off that incur when an item is or isn't held. Item-Based increase in ranks (Such as from Rare Candy) are not negated by Frisk. The Pokemon will not be affected by Fling or Natural Gift.

- Limber (Passive): This Pokemon's body is well trained and immune to paralysis. If the Pokemon with this Ability is Electric-type, this Pokemon's Speed cannot be lowered by any method, including self-inflicted reductions.

- Cursed Body (Passive) (UNLOCKED): When this Pokemon is struck by an opponent's attack, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be disabled for six (6) actions. Only one of the opponent's attacks can be disabled at a time due to Cursed Body. A Pokemon with an attack disabled by Cursed Body cannot have another one disabled by Disable, and vice versa.

Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Pay special attention to Stalker the Kitsunoh. No, I don't think Kitsunoh will deal the most damage here. But kit is here obviously for Mr. Mime. If Kit succeeds in removing Mr. Mime, (Mega)Steelix and (Mega)Aggron can bring the bacon home without much hassle. If not....well...its will be an upperhill match.

Round 1

Uh...

That was a huge price to pay to get Mawile out of that matchup. And to make things worse, none of Emma's mon is THAT good against Steelix. Emma is king of comebacks and doesn't mind being stuck on a health advantage at the end of the match, as its inventive mind and huge movepool give him the tools needed to bring home the bacon yet again. But that has a limit. While Emma got mawile out, the challenger easily shaved off almost 2/3 of Emma's Mega pokemon and powerhouse, while Steelix was barely scratched. One round in and the Leader is already at disadvantage, after ordering last to boot. Not good grounds to begin this.

Round 2!

To be entirely honest if it weren't for the burn, the challenger would still keep a sizeable lead vs the leader.

But the burn happened and both got somewhat close. The challenger still has the health advantage, having dealt 69hp of damage and received 58hp. Still, this matchup isn't exactly "lovely", so a lot relies on how the next matchup will be.
