Gen 6 Finally, A good use for Gardevoir-Mega.

Hello, Im curved. This setup your about to see is a 1v1 strategy, but it can be used in ubers and ou I think? Anyways, lets get started! If you want to see more strategys like this, 15 likes on this forum post and I will post another one!

So the moral of this strategy is to get a 180 Powered Hyper beam! *And its fairy type!*
How does it work? Pixilate makes normal type moves fairy type, and do 1.3x damage! 180 Power! And fairy! This strat is a pretty good sweeper, and 1v1'er.

Alright lets get started.
1. Gardevoir-Mega with these stats.

2. Battle Time!
3. Start off battle, if it is a attack you are non super effective against, moonblast once, then Hyper beam!
4. Did you win? You should win most of the time. Even if its resisted, 60% You will still win! And if its nothing, then you get, and super effective gets it.

So you understand Hyper Beam becomes a fairy type and gets a 1.3x boost, but you still choose Moonblast over Hyper Voice as the second move?

Seriously though, the unreliability of Hyper Beam, the commonness of Primal Groudon, the competition for a Mega Slot, and its poor defense make Mega Gardevoir not worth it in Ubers, its great in OU though

It is even better in OU. With Hyper Voice. And no Hyper Beam. And no Moon Blast. And a second STAB. And Coverage.

Hyper Beam is generally considered to be a terrible move competitively because its usage gives your opponent a 100% free turn to do whatever they want. Giving free setup to monsters like Primal Groudon, SD Arceus, Geomancy Xerneas, Rayquaza, and Mega Salamence is not a good idea and does not justify the power of Hyper Beam since all of these things can potentially end the game for you with one free turn. There is also pretty much no reason to use Mega Gardevoir over Xerneas in Ubers.
