Melee Battle!
Singles
2 v 2 v 2(2 Pokemon per side)
DQ time: 2 days
Arena: Mars
ok one ability
and no items
and switch = ko

Arena extends for a radius of 100 m, beyond which are chasms of death. g(Acceleration due to gravity) on Mars is around 1/3rd that of Earth, so Flying-type Pokemon require much less energy for their attacks(exact amount is at discretion of referee). Its pretty cold, so going beyond a height of 100 m will lead to a loss of 20 HP. The chill also means that Ice-type moves are easier to use, so they require 1 less energy. There is a meteor in the sky heading for the battlefield, but who knows what it may contain....
Order will be: Destiny Warrior sends out Poke, Smashlloyd sends out Poke, GK sends out Poke and issues actions, then Smash, then Destiny. I ref. Smash issues, then Destiny, then GK. I ref. Destiny issues, then GK, then Smash. I ref. Rinse and repeat.

Ready? Go!

ok, sending out Matt the nohface... if i need to say my ability, you are an idiot

go ahead and start out by using will o wisp on chuck norris and follow up with meteor mash. finally, since we're on Mars, let's go ahead and hide in some shadows/craters and shadow strike. Yay typing/character/arena abusing

ps: if the whole shadow strike + hiding thing takes too much for one action, hide first

Alright Chuck, time to cause some pain.

Fire Blast on Nohface, the Foresight, then another Fire Blast.

OK all! First melee battle ever, let's roll! For starters, Fake Out Machop! Next up, use Bulk Up to boost your attack, and last of all, Brick Break Machop.

VS

Machop [Chuck Norris] (Male)

SpD: ***
Spe: 11 (10*1.15)

EC: 3/6
MC: 1
DC: 2/5

Abilities:
Levitate: (Innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Earthquake, Level Ground, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit.

The three trainer's Pokemon take an interesting amount of time to open up and release their Pokemon, but in the end all three get out. Street Fighter the Scraggy is the fastest on his feet though and quickly gains momentum by using a lightning-fast Fake Out (7). Chuck Norris can do nothing but flinch in awe of the quickness, which Nohface takes advantage of by sending a small, eerie flame (Will-o-Wisp) towards him, burning it! Bewildered, Chuck Norris is hurt by his new scald.

Riding on his momentum, Street Fighter flexes his muscles in a Bulk Up, raising both his attack and defense by one stage. Chuck Norris decides that ignoring Street Fighter is the best policy - a whiny child shouldn't get attention! - and uses Foresight on Nohface, adding a kind of 5th sense that allows him to see and hit Nohface with Fighting and Normal moves! The inaction leads Nohface to come right up to Machop and smash it with the force of Meteors in a Meteor Mash (16). Because of the proximity of comets and meteors without an atmosphere, Nohface is more easily able to draw on the Meteor's power and raise his attack by one stage! Not only is Nohface gleaming because of this most recent installment, though. Chuck Norris cringes as he is hit with a critical hit! The burn sears in pain. (sorry smash)

Street Fighter knows only the thug life. He's got the look of Intimidation. He knows when someone's down and feels good about it. His pants sag. Pimpoleon himself could learn a few tips from this guy. In this case, he does what any self-loving street guy would do: mug the guy that's down. A buffed Brick Break (17) goes straight on top of Machop's head, leaving it slightly dazed and dizzy. The onslaught is quickly wearing him out. He responds with confidence though, and whips a giant Fire Blast (18) at Nohface, hitting it for massive damage in the close proximity of the battlers. Nohface, realizing this, hits Chuck with ShadowStrike for a quick, fleeting hit then sneaks in the shadows over to a nearby shallow crater where he waits to see how the battle will turn out.

Oh and Chuck is hurt by burn again. Ouch.

It seems as though the Street Fighter has ganged up with the Ghost to take out the threat that looms over us all, none other than Chuck Norris.

Sigh.

Alright Chuck Norris, let's go out with a bang!
Use Focus Blast three times. Hit Street Fighter first, then Matthew, then Street again.

Again starts the chaos! Street Fighter looks to further take out poor Chuck Norris and releases a Drain Punch (16), although he can't gain any HP due to still having all of his! Chuck Norris still hasn't lost the fight in him though and Focus Blasts (23) Street Fighter for heavy damage, startling him a bit. Nohface has been sneaking back towards Chuck Norris in this time and rattles him with another Meteor Mash (15). The burns sting also.

Street Fighter, proud of his work, begins a series of taunts and flexs that Bulk Up his stats as well as his pride. Chuck Norris pays no mind and summons another Focus Blast (23) that, because of Foresight and No Guard, hits Nohface just as hard as it hit Street Fighter. Machop, humiliated, but at least struck out swinging, is finished by a Shadow Strike by Nohface. Both remaining Pokemon, Street Fighter and Nohface, take the extra time to boost their stats a bit more with Bulk Up and Iron Defense respectively.

ok this whole "if attacked by nohface" thing is pissing me off

start out by yawning and follow up with hitting street fighter with meteor mash, thankfully we have 11 speed so it'll hit first. Finish up by shadow sneaking away to grass skirt

Smashlloyd sends out Grass Skirt the Embirch to revenge the fallen!

Embirch [Grass Skirt] (Male)

Invigorated by the energy already present in the battle, Grass Skirt comes out ready to fly into the fray. It starts off by tossing some Leech Seeds towards Street Fighter who is waiting patiently to react to the situation before he attacks. Nohface takes advantage of this... or doesn't? The whole scene seems largely rote to him, which ends up leading him to a bellowing Yawn, making both the other Pokemon drowsy. Street Fighter is not impressed, but not to be outdone either. He flexes his muscles yet again, Bulking Up his attack and defense. What a stud.

Grass Skirt is not to be left out of this competition though, and plants some roots to attempt to Growth up and away. Because of Mars' climate and soil though, Grass Skirt is only able to pull up enough energy for a Special Attack boost. While Street Fighter again waits to make the strategic countermove, Nohface looks over at Grass Skirt and decides with his trainer's help that he is of little threat in this arid climate. Instead, he scoots on over to a waiting Street Fighter and smacks it with Meteor Mash (10) just as a shooting star races across the sky, again raising his attack by one stage! Street Fighter was waiting for this though, and responds dutifully with Payback (16) that smashes Nohface backwards.

Nohface decides enough is enough and delves into the shadowy depths towards Grass Skirt in an evasive Shadow Sneak and succeeds in getting close to the Embirch. Grass Skirt, not discouraged by the earlier attempt, again tries to draw in energy from the dirt and far-away sun, this time succeeding again in only drawing enough Growth for one Special Attack boost (50% rolls). Street Fighter sees Nohface retreating and does what? Oh, of course. He flexes his muscles again in an attempt to Bulk Up. Sadly, this does nothing to prevent the steady drooping of his eyes. Survival instincts aren't enough to prevent the Extreme Sleep (3 turns) that he just slipped into...

Ok, since this BUlk Up business doesn't work, and we're screwed anyway, shed your skin round 1 or as soon as possible. Next, use Drain Punch on Embirch. If you still have a turn left, use Dig and smack that Nohface.

ok the plan was to ask rolf some questions buuuut whatever

ok so use meteor mash on street fighter, then chill and finish up with iron defense. If grass skirt pulls some shady shit and attacks you, go ahead and hit it with meteor mash and shadow strike, but that shouldn't happen most likely

Okay Grass Skirt, we don't want you to fall asleep. So use Sunny Day to activate your Leaf Guard. Then hit Street Fighter with two Fire Blasts. If the first one KOs, use Growth instead.

Grass Skirt starts by pulling out… an ocarina? A mysterious melody is played that magnifies the sun’s rays, warming the battle site up considerably from where it was before. The Sunny Day makes fire moves have a significant power increase (x1.5)! Street Fighter feels the warmth. What happens when it gets hot outside? You shed layers! The thin, brittle skin falls to the dust softly along with any thoughts of sleep as well as some leech seeds Street Fighter had. Nohface takes advantage of the vulnerability though to strike Street Fighter with yet another Meteor Mash (9) that again is able to miraculously raise his attack one stage! The remaining Leech Seed (1) takes away a small amount of life from Street Fighter.

The sunlight doesn’t just effect Street Fighter though. An invigorated Embirch gathers a giant star of Fire Blast (26) and hurls it at Scraggy, which when boosted by the Sunlight and earlier Growths, deals a giant amount of damage, but burns off any stray seeds stuck on Street Fighter. Scraggy retaliates with its own boosted Drain Punch (19), sapping health and dealing more whoopings. Nohface takes a break from the action and chills in a spot, watching the battle with little interest.

Grass Skirt feels Street Fighter finally starting to feel a bit weary and sends one more Fire Blast (25) in its direction. Street Fighter takes a couple steps backwards to regain its footing, but trips and falls to the ground unable to battle. Nohface, having taken its break and satisfied with the work he and his partners in crime have accomplished, tightens his inner steel in an Iron Defense.

Okay Grass Skirt, time to go all-in. This round will contain a lot of damage...for someone.

First, nail Nohface with a Fire Blast, then Giga Drain on Aqua Regia, then another Fire Blast on Nohface.

Okay sorry about the quality but I want to get this off before I go out of town again...

Grass Skirt looks at Aqua Regia and scoffs, turning its attention to Nohface and firing a MASSIVELY powerful Fire Blast that almost knocks Nohface back down under. Aqua Regia sqaures off a Thunder... but the sunlight causes it to lose focus and it is unable to hit! Nohface is left to moan loudly in a Perish Song.

A Giga Drain is fired by Grass Skirt but Aqua Regia nimbly dodges with an Agility. Nohface is left to Yawn - Leaf Guard prevents Embirch from caring about the infectious thing, but Chinchou becomes drowsy.

Grass Skirt finally realizes that Nohface is still alive and finishes it off with another Fire Blast. That leaves Aqua Regia to get in a Bubble towards Embirch, dealing respectable damage actually. ((4+3+3)/1.5)

One more action of Sunlight iirc. I'll fix this up later if I have to. Perish Counts fall to two.
