First time trying competitive

I have 2 that I want to use for sure, and I would like to use ninetails as well but not sure what to throw on her. The other 3 slots are in progress.

Ok, not a bad start, actually. For Alolan Ninetails, I've been a pretty heavy advocate of using this set:

Ninetales-Alola @ Life Orb/Aguav Berry
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Moonblast/Dazzling Gleam
- Freeze-Dry
- Blizzard

Drampa isn't a bad LO user either. He's much lower in the Speed Tiers, which means he's good in the Trick Room matchup.

You'll need something to deal with Tapus. Maybe Kartana?

Your team is looking a little frail. I'd go for Leftovers Tapu Bulu/Porygon2/Tapu Fili

Running Hail, you could do the obvious thing and use Sandslash:

Sandslash-Alola @ Focus Sash (?)
Ability: Slush Rush 
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD 
Adamant Nature 
- Icicle Crash 
- Iron Head 
- Rock Slide 
- Protect

Your core could also support Semi-TR with Oranguru/P2/Torkoal/Gigalith/Drampa (pick 2-3)

So if using Drampa you'd swap ninetails for him? Having something against trick room would be handy.
Kartana is a possibility, it's a serious nature, maybe not ideal but at least a neutral one. 3 perfect IV but yay hyper training?
Porygon 2 sounds like it could be a fun option also.

And.... what's Semi-TR? (trick room?)
Because Orangaru is one of the reasons I picked moon. He just looks so cool. Would be awesome to get to use him.

I was just saying that Drampa can use LO if Ninetails uses a berry. It doesn't have to be either/or.

Semi-TR is what most successful TR teams are. They have a TR core, usually something like 1 TR setter; 1 TR Atk sweeper; 1 TR SpA Sweeper; 2-3 "Fast Mode" mons.
So instead of dedicating the entire team structure to TR, you cover the most pertinent speed tiers outside of TR for when TR is down/can't be set up.

I guess its an archaic term now. A lot of "Trick Room Teams" now would be called "Semi-TR Teams" in like, 2013/2014.

Why Porygon-2 over Porygon-Z? Just wondering.

Because Eviolites 50% boost to Def and SpD are bigger than the stat increase you get for evolving a Porygon Z. And base 90 is an awkward speed tier where he's slower than all the big threats inside and outside of TR.

Ahhh interesting.
So I'm thinking now..... A-Ninetails, A-Marowak, Oranguru, Gigilith, Porygon-2, and Toxapex.

Edit: Looking over other options for the Gigilith. May not be the most amazing without some kind of sandstorm.

Edit2: I think I will go with Drampa after all.

Oranguru + Drampa partnered for TR just looks fun. Instruct is nice, and then maybe run Discharge / Tri Attack on Porygon2 so Telepthy keeps Oranguru safe from discharge. Oranguru will definately be primary setter.

In most situations though I won't be able to take all 6 pokemon into a fight so I imagine I'll end up with Oranguru + Drampa/Porygon2 and Toxapex + Marowak/Ninetails? Depending on what I think I might need to handle.

Ahh, still figuring things out though!
