First VGC Team

Hi I'm AlphaDraconis or AD and recently joined Smogon.
This is the VGC team I made with a friend and it works quite well.
Here we go:

My lead:
Scrafty @ Chople Berry
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Crunch
- Drain Punch
- Fake Out

It's pretty straight forward. Fake Out to set up Trick Room if needed.
Crunch for Cress and the Ghosts.
Drain Punch to take down Tyranitar since I underspeed this Tyrant that is threatening my Cresselia and Chandelure.
Max Hp and max SpDef to live Dragon Gem Draco Meteors.
Even from Modest Latios with max SpA and D-Gem.
Bulk Up for to boost my Attack stat and my already base 115 Def.

Timid Latios: 252 SpA Dragon Gem Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Scrafty: 118-139 (68.6 - 80.81%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Modest Latios: 252+ SpA Dragon Gem Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Scrafty: 129-153 (75 - 88.95%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Scrafty's Partner:
Cresselia @ Sitrus Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 220 HP / 184 Def / 104 SDef
Modest Nature
- Icy Wind
- Helping Hand
- Trick Room
- Psyshock

Trick Room, obviously. Almost everyone of my team prefer Trick Room (with Latios as exception).
Icy Wind for the speed control and allowing my pokemons in the back to set up a Calm Mind or a Bulk Up.
Helping Hand to turn Scrafty his Crunch into a OHKO on Latios most of the time (see below for calc)
Trick Room as mentioned before.
Psyshock to hit Chansey and Blissey and ofcourse Fighting types that threaten Scrafty.
Evs to get a bulky Cress.

4 Atk Scrafty Helping Hand Crunch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latios: 152-180 (97.43 - 115.38%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO

My own Dragon:
Latios @ Dragon Gem
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Protect

This is another leadpokemon sometimes when I predict the opponent to start with a Dragon.
Fake Out support from Scrafty and kill it with D-Gem Draco Meteor.
Psyshock as second STAB to hit hit Fighting types.
And of course Protect.
I chose for Calm Mind in the other slot to power up my Draco Meteor.
I have ran there HP Fire and Heal Pulse but it didnt work out.

The Dragonresist:
Metagross @ Lum Berry
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Atk / 4 Def / 136 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Meteor Mash
- Ice Punch

Earthquake for other Steels (not named Heatran)
Zen Headbutt and Meteor Mash as STAB and Ice Punch as suprise attack on Lando-T and those Dragons.
I first thougt of using Protect but I think switching is more helpful.

The tank:
Gastrodon @ Rindo Berry
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 20 Def / 100 SAtk / 136 SDef
Modest Nature
- Muddy Water
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Earth Power

With all those Rain and sand teams I needed something to tank that.
Little Gastrodon only has troubles with Grass.
But for that we have it's partner Chandelure.
Muddy Water as spreadmove and I love the accuracy drop.
Ice Beam for those Dragons and Earth Power as second STAB, to demolish Steels.
Recover to regain health and stay in longer.
Rindo Berry to decrease Grass attack damage.

The Ghost:
Chandelure @ Fire Gem
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 20 Def / 24 SAtk / 220 SDef
Sassy Nature
- Heat Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Protect

Last but not least.
This candle saved me a few times.
Switching in on a Fire attack aimed at Metagross and getting a Flash Fire Boost.
Or on a Fighting attack aimed at Scrafty.
Heat Wave for a spread Fire move, great with Muddy Water.
Shadow Ball for hitting Ghosts and Psychics
Energy Ball for Gastro.
Protect to dodge attacks

Hope you enjoyed reading
