[OVERVIEW]

Floatzel's excellent Speed tier allows it to outspeed almost all relevant Pokemon in the tier bar Swellow, including potent offensive threats such as Tauros, Archeops, and Pyroar. It also has a decent enough movepool that allows it to hit most of the tier hard. Floatzel's abilities are useful in some cases, as Swift Swim allows it to outpace and OHKO Kabutops and Omastar under rain, while Water Veil can be used to avoid getting burned by Scald from Lanturn and Will-O-Wisp from Mismagius. Although its strong coverage moves mostly make up for it, Floatzel's Special Attack isn't very high, leaving it struggling to pressure Pokemon like Lanturn and Pokemon immune to Water without having to rely on Focus Blast hitting multiple times. Floatzel is also quite frail, leaving it vulnerable to being revenge killed by priority from Pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Hitmonchan, and Shiftry. Lastly, Floatzel faces competition from other Water-types such as Samurott and Ludicolo, as they are bulkier and have better movepools.

Moves
========

STAB Hydro Pump does solid damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Ice Beam provides great coverage alongside Hydro Pump, nailing Grass-types such as Vileplume, Gourgeist-XL, and Lilligant for super effective damage. Focus Blast rounds out Floatzel's coverage, hitting Ferroseed, Abomasnow for super effective damage, notably OHKOing Kangaskhan; it also provides neutral coverage on other Water-type Pokemon, and almost always 2HKOes Jynx with it. Baton Pass keeps up offensive momentum, providing a free switch in to wallbreakers such as Magmortar, Abomasnow, and Aurorus, while also letting Floatzel avoid Sucker Punch or Pursuit mind games versus Skuntank. Taunt is an alternative that allows Floatzel to break through bulkier Pokemon such as Musharna and Mega Audino by preventing them from healing up; it also prevents Pokemon such as Mantine from removing entry hazards from the field with Defog. Hidden Power Electric can be used to lure in and 2HKO Mantine, as well as allowing Floatzel to reliably hit Water-types for the same damage as Focus Blast. Lastly, Substitute + Baton Pass, although heavily decreasing Floatzel's longevity due to repeated Life Orb and Substitute damage, is a nice way to pass a Substitute to a Pokemon that has a hard time setting it up itself and can come in on weaker checks to Floatzel such as Lanturn, like Abomasnow.

Set Details
========

Life Orb provides Floatzel with a necessary power boost while also allowing it to take full advantage of its coverage options. Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs allow Floatzel to hit as hard and fast as possible. A Timid nature is necessary to outspeed Tauros and Archeops, one of Floatzel's main perks. Swift Swim is chosen to give Floatzel a better matchup versus dedicated rain teams, and the ability to avoid burns with Water Veil is not as useful for this set.

Usage Tips
========

Floatzel is best used as a late-game cleaner, when it can run through weakened teams with its fantastic Speed and coverage moves. Floatzel also has utility in being able to revenge kill fast offensive threats such as Archeops, Scyther, and Tauros.
In situations where your opponent has a counter to Floatzel such as Lanturn at high HP, it is often optimal to use Baton Pass to generate momentum and switch to a Pokemon that can handle said counter safely. Floatzel can also use Ice Beam to pick off weakened targets without having to risk inaccurate Hydro Pumps. Try to avoid switching Floatzel in on anything other than weak resisted attacks, as its pitiful defenses combined with continual Life Orb damage cause it to faint quickly.

Team Options
========

Strong wallbreakers such as Primeape and Archeops are great partners for Floatzel, as Floatzel helps them get past annoying Pokemon like Steelix and Piloswine, while Stone Edge from both Primeape and Archeops helps Floatzel deal with Pokemon against which it struggles. These wallbreakers also appreciate the free switches Floatzel may give them via Baton Pass. Grass-types like Lilligant and Vileplume can make quick work of Water-types that Floatzel struggles with such as Lanturn and Poliwrath, while Floatzel can conversely demolish the Fire-types that threaten them. Floatzel also greatly appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon like Ferroseed and Garbodor, as most of Floatzel's checks and counters lack reliable recovery, making them fairly easy to wear down. Mesprit is another great partner, as it helps bring Floatzel in safely and provides support in both Thunder Wave and Healing Wish.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Floatzel can run a Bulk Up + Baton Pass set to decent success, as its naturally high base Speed combined with increased bulk allows it to pass boosts efficiently. Water Veil is the preferred ability on this set, as it allows Floatzel to avoid some annoying burns. The set is often less reliable than the specially offensive set, however, as it lacks the ability to effectively revenge kill faster offensive threats and relies only on mono-Water coverage to actually deal damage, as the fourth move is normally either Substitute or Taunt. A Choice Band set capitalizes on Floatzel's naturally higher Attack stat, although this set is usually suboptimal, as Choice Band Floatzel is unable to switch attacks, which restricts its coverage. Besides that, Floatzel's physical movepool is far less impressive than its special one. Crunch can be used on the specially offensive set to OHKO Jynx, which otherwise has a chance to switch into Floatzel, as it can only 2HKO Jynx with Focus Blast, which is inaccurate and unreliable.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Floatzel can struggle to reliably damage Water-types such as Mantine and Poliwrath, as it has to rely on Focus Blast or Hidden Power Electric, to hit them. Lanturn is especially annoying, as it has great Special Defense, is immune to Hidden Power Electric and has a super effective STAB move to hit Floatzel with.

**Faster Attackers**: Floatzel's low defenses mean almost all Choice Scarf Pokemon, as well as strong priority attacks such as Fake Out and Sucker Punch, can act before it and either KO or greatly damage it. Swellow outright outspeeds and OHKOes Floatzel with Choice Specs-boosted Boomburst.

**Grass-types**: All Grass-type Pokemon can take on Floatzel with their respective STAB moves. Not all of them can safely switch in on it, but Lilligant, Vileplume, and Roselia can survive an Ice Beam from full HP and OHKO Floatzel with Giga Drain or any other Grass-type attack.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Bulky Pokemon such as Hariyama, Musharna, and Mega Audino can all tank multiple hits from Floatzel and proceed to hit it hard or set up on it. The latter two have to be wary of Taunt, though, as it can pressure both of them to switch out if they are low on HP.

Floatzel's profilic Speed tier allows it to out-speed almost all relevant Pokemon bar Swellow, including potent offensive threats such as Tauros, Archeops, and Pyroar. Floatzel has a decent enough movepool which allows it to hit most of the tier hard and keep opponents on their toes about what Floatzel's third and fourth moves are. Floatzel doesn't have great abilities, but is one of the few Swift Swim Pokemon in NU that find a place outside of Rain teams. Floatzel can't really take advantage of its high Attack stat, as there are way more physical tanks in NU than there are special ones. Floatzel's Special Attack isn't very impressive either, leaving it struggling to pressure Pokemon like Lanturn without relying on Focus Blast hitting multiple times. Floatzel is also quite frail, leaving it vulnerable to being revenge killed by priority from Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Hitmonchan and Shiftry. Floatzel faces competition from other Water-types such as Samurott and Ludicolo, as they are bulkier and have better movepools.
- This bit is not too accurate, since the likes of Kabutops and Ludicolo use Swift Swim without needing to fit on dedicated Rain teams, especially since you referenced Ludicolo as competition for Floatzel. Rephrase / remove this bit.
- Also point out Floatzel's rather lackluster physical movepool, which lack moves with high BP.

[SET]

move 3: Focus Blast
move 4: Taunt / Baton Pass

So here's something I've given a bit of thought to: how about slashing Baton Pass before Taunt? This is because the primary Taunt targets, Musharna and MAudino, can be incapacitated at once with a Skuntank / Steelix partner, so Taunt's utility can be considered more expendable / replaceable compared to Baton Pass.

Moves

Hydro Pump is Floatzel's main STAB-attack and does solid damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Ice Beam provides great coverage alongside Hydro Pump, nailing Grass-types such as Vileplume, Gourgeist, and Tangela for super effective damage. Focus Blast rounds out Floatzel's coverage, hitting Ferroseed and Abomasnow for super-effective damage as well as OHKOing Kangaskhan and providing neutral coverage on other Water-type Pokemon. Taunt allows Floatzel to break through bulkier Pokemon such as Musharna and Mega Audino by preventing them from healing up. Baton Pass is a solid option on Floatzel over Taunt, as it eases predictions and provides a free switchin to wallbreakers such as Magmortar, Abomasnow and Aurorus. HP Electric can be used to lure in Mantine, while also allowing Floatzel to reliably hit Water-types for the same damage as Focus Blast. Lastly, Substitute + Baton Pass is a nice way to pass a Substitute to a Pokemon that has a hard time setting it up itself and can come in on weaker checks to Floatzel such as Lanturn, like Abomasnow.
- Taunt can also help prevent Defog, which is significant since most Defog users use Floatzel as an opportunity to remove entry hazards. It may also be used to prevent foes from setting up even as a last-ditch effort, such as denying Lilligant's Quiver Dance or Ludicolo's Rain Dance.
- Baton Pass can also allow Floatzel to avoid playing Pursuit + Sucker Punch mindgames with Skuntank.
- Note that Substitute can conflict with Life Orb, heavily reducing Floatzel's longevity.

Floatzel can run a Bulk Up + Baton Pass set to decent success as its naturally high base speed combined with increased bulk allows it to pass boosts efficiently. This set is often less reliable than the specially offensive set, however, as it lacks the ability to effectively revengekill offensive threars, and relies only on mono-water coverage to actually deal damage, as the fourth move is normally either Substitute or Taunt. A Choice Band set capitalizes on Floatzels naturally higher Attack stat, although this set is usually sub-optimal as Choice Banded Floatzel is unable to switch attacks which restricts its coverage., Besides that, Floatzels physical movepool is far less impressive than its special one.
You can bring up Water Veil for this set, as it allows Floatzel to not fear Scald or Will-O-Wisp.

**Lanturn**: Lanturn resists Floatzel's main STAB and takes very little damage from any of it's coverage options. In return, Lanturn can hit Floatzel super effectively with STAB Volt Switch for huge damage.

**Water-types**: Floatzel can struggle to reliably damage Water-types such as Mantine, Poliwrath, and Prinplup, especially if HP Electric is not used as coverage.
This can probably be merged into one section, with Lanturn receiving special mention. Ludicolo should be brought up as well. Alternatively, you can rename this section into 'Pokemon that resist Water' and list Jynx, as well as the numerous Grass-types that Floatzel can't OHKO and OHKO Floatzel in return (aka checks).

**Faster Pokemon**: Swellow and most Choice Scarf users such as Rotom, Scyther, and Lilligant all outspeed Floatzel and either KO it or threaten it out.
Can probably rename this section to 'Faster Attacks' in general, since Floatzel dislikes taking any sort of direct hit and priority attacks apply. Meanwhile name some priority users like Kangaskhan, Shiftry, Hitmonchan, etc.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Bulky Pokemon such as Hariyama and Assault Vest Hitmonchan that can tank a hit from Floatzel and retaliate back with a strong STAB move a big threats as they need to be sufficiently weakened before Floatzel can begin to sweep.
I am pretty sure you can list more examples than this, otherwise newer users may just misconstrue this as 'Fighting-types'.

Hello, there's a quite a few things I'd like you to fix and go into depth a bit more before pushing into the GP stage.

I don't quite get what the second sentence in the overview means. Floatzel is a fairly straight forward in what it does; it'll almost always have the first few moves listed and it's nothing major if you guess whether it has Baton Pass or Taunt wrong. The next sentence just seems like that takes up space for the sake of it and is wrong. The two abilities are by no means useless either, as Burn immunity can come in handy for switching into Scalds or if you're playing a bit risky, Will-O-Wisp from the likes of Mismagius, while Swift Swim lets it revenge Kabutops and Omastar on rain teams. How does Floatzel not being able to take advantage of its Attack stat even noteworthy? Just remove that. Floatzel's Special Attack isn't impressive, but the high base power of its moves more than makes up. Rework that point and say that it struggles to break past Lanturn and Water-immunities.

In general, I really think you should give all of its positives much more emphasis because reading the overview gives me the impression that Floatzel is a mediocre Pokemon when it should be recognized as a premier offensive Pokemon.

Tangela shouldn't is listed as an Ice Beam target because it's mostly irrelevant, mention Lilligant instead because it OHKOes after Stealth Rock. List Altaria as an Ice Beam target as well. Focus Blast also 2HKOes Jynx 97% of the time, so list that. I also don't think Crunch is worth using because Focus Blast handles Jynx anyway and is not worth giving up either Taunt or Baton Pass just to get the OHKO (which doesn't matter if Jynx still has its Sash intact). You're missing another big thing that Taunt is useful for, which is preventing hazards from going up on your own side, which can be helpful for the likes of Sash Lead Archeops and Omastar.

Usage tips should also touch on the fact that Floatzel should only be brought in after a Pokemon has fainted or through pivoting moves, because it just doesn't have the bulk to switch in even the most passive Pokemon.

Outside of general wallbreaking purposes, what do the three you listed in the first sentence for team options provide? For example, you can say that Floatzel breaks past the likes of Rhydon, Quagsire, and Steelix, while Archeops helps break past Lanturn and Mantine. Pairing hazards is something I'd recommend using with Floatzel myself, but what are some notable KOes that Floatzel achieves with them? List some examples and give other reasons why to use the Pokemon listed outside of providing hazards. Garbodor can help chip at Pokemon that attempt to revenge kill Floatzel with priority, while Floatzel helps with Rhydon and Steelix. Omastar seems like a weird choice given their clashing synergy, so just remove that. I'd like to see Mesprit here because it helps with Hariyama and can either form a momentum core with U-turn or bring Floatzel back to full should it be worn down from Life Orb recoil. Also not too keen on listing Ferroseed considering they don't exactly fit on the same playstyle.

Also I'm not sure what happened, but checks and counters had more detail before you implemented erisia's check which seems a bit strange. Elaborate a bit more on how each check deals with Floatzel and what scenarios/circumstances (if it applies) that the check may not always be a sure fire way of handling it. Vileplume should also not be listed when it gets 2HKOed by Ice Beam, remove that and instead list Roselia and Ludicolo. Mega Audino is also something that should be listed, though it does not appreciate running into Taunt unless it's offensive Calm Mind.

Shadestep when writing up more of these analyses in the future, I'd like you to make these write-ups feel more complete because the skeleton from before has more substance, which is a concern given that this already had all 3 QC checks. Tag me back once you've implemented these changes and I'll take a second look.

Hydro Pump is Floatzel's main STAB-attack STAB attack and does solid damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Ice Beam provides great coverage alongside Hydro Pump, nailing Grass-types such as Vileplume, Gourgeist-XL (I assume? "Gourgeist" refers to Gourgeist Average, Gourgeist-XL to Gourgeist Super, which i think makes more sense? not sure), and Lilligant for super effective damage. Focus Blast rounds out Floatzel's coverage, hitting Ferroseed and Abomasnow for super-effective super effective damage as well as OHKOing Kangaskhan and providing neutral coverage on other Water-type Pokemon, while almost always two-shotting 2HKOing Jynx with it. Baton Pass keeps up offensive momentum, providing a free switchin switch in to wallbreakers such as Magmortar, Abomasnow, (AC) and Aurorus, while also avoiding Sucker Punch / Pursuit mind-games Sucker Punch or Pursuit mind games versus Skuntank. Floatzel can run a Bulk Up + Baton Pass set to decent success, (AC) as its naturally high base Speed combined with increased bulk allows it to pass boosts efficiently. Water Veil is the preferred ability on this set, (AC) as it allows Floatzel to avoid some annoying burns which may otherwise annoy it. The set is often less reliable than the specially offensive set, however, as it lacks the ability to effectively revengekill revenge kill (faster?) offensive threats threars, (RC) and relies only on mono-Water coverage to actually deal damage, as the fourth move is normally either Substitute or Taunt. A Choice Band set capitalizes on Floatzels Floatzel's naturally higher Attack stat, although this set is usually sub-optimal suboptimal, (AC) as Choice Banded Floatzel is unable to switch attacks, (AC) which restricts its coverage. coverage., Besides that, Floatzels Floatzel's physical movepool is far less impressive than its special one. Crunch can be used on the Specially Offensive specially offensive set to OHKO Jynx, which otherwise has a chance to switch in to into Floatzel, as it can only 2HKO Jynx with Focus Blast, (AC) which is inaccurate an unreliable.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Floatzel can struggle to reliably damage Water-types such as Mantine, (RC) and Poliwrath, (AC) as it has to rely on Focus Blast or HP Hidden Power Electric to hit them. Lanturn is especially annoying, as it has great Special Defense, is immune to HP Hidden Power Electric, (AC) and has a super-effective super effective STAB move to hit Floatzel with.

**Faster Attackers**: Floatzels Floatzel's low defenses mean almost all Choice Scarf Pokemon, as well as strong priority attacks such as Fake Out or Sucker Punch, can act before it and either KO or greatly damage it. attand Swellow which outright outspeeds and OHKOs Floatzel. Swellow outright outspeeds and OHKOes Floatzel with Choice Specs Boomburst. (not sure about the specs bburst part, but i guess that's what you're referring to? also reordered the paragraph because i assume not all scarf pokemon nor all priority attacks are a straight OHKO without any previous damage or once floatzel has been weakened enough, contrary to swellow)

**Grass-types**: All Grass-type Pokemon can take on Floatzel with their respective STAB-moves STAB moves. Not all of them can safely switch in on it, but Lilligant, Vileplume, and Roselia for example can live an Ice Beam from full HP and OHKO Floatzel with Giga Drain, (RC) or any other Grass-type attack.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Bulky Pokemon such as Hariyama, Musharna, (AC) and Mega Audino can all tank multiple hits from Floatzel and proceed to hit it hard or set up on it. The latter two have to be wary of Taunt, though, as it can pressure both of them Musharna and Mega Audino to switch out if they are low on HP.

[OVERVIEW]

Floatzel's profilic prolific (yes prolific is the correct one but honestly it's a bit weird to call a speed tier "prolific"?) Speed tier allows it to out-speed outspeed almost all relevant Pokemon in the tier bar Swellow, including potent offensive threats such as Tauros, Archeops, and Pyroar. Floatzel has a decent enough movepool which allows it to hit most of the tier hard. Floatzel's abilities are useful in some cases; as for example, (i don't agree on this one, they are not really "examples" in the first place since 1) switf swim doesnt do much besides outspeeding rain sweepers, and omastar and kabutops and kabutops iirc are the only ones besides ludicolo [but in any case the outspeeding stuff part is important], and 2) water veil doesn't do much besides protecting from burns. Using as/because/since in this case is also very appropriate, as the op is explaining exactly the reason why both abilities have use) Swift Swim allows it to outpace and OHKO Kabutops and Omastar under rain, while Water Veil can be used to occasionally avoid getting burned by Scald from Lanturn and Will-O-Wisp from Mismagius. Although its strong coverage moves mostly make up for it, Floatzel's Special Attack isn't very high, leaving it struggling to pressure Pokemon like Lanturn and Water-immunities is this term allowed? i'm not sure cuz it's like "Water-resists" which isn't allowed ("Pokemon immune to water" is more clear in any case) without having to rely on Focus Blast hitting multiple times. Floatzel is also quite frail, leaving it vulnerable to being revenge killed by priority from Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Hitmonchan and Shiftry. Floatzel also just feels right cuz you're listing lots of drawbacks here (agreed that there needs to be some passage but the op used "also" the sentence before, so why not something like lastly or finally?) faces competition from other Water-types such as Samurott and Ludicolo, as they are bulkier and have better movepools.

Strong wallbreakers such as Primeape and Archeops are great partners for Floatzel, as Floatzel helps them get past annoying Pokemon like Steelix and Piloswine, while Stone Edge support from both Primeape and Archeops help Floatzel deal with Mantine and other Pokemon that Floatzel it struggles with. These wallbreakers also appreciate the free switches that Floatzel may give them via Baton Pass. Grass-types like Lilligant and Vileplume can make quick work of Water-types that Floatzel struggles with such as Lanturn and Poliwrath, while Floatzel can conversely demolish the Fire-types that threaten said Grass-types. Floatzel also greatly appreciates entry hazard support from Pokemon like Ferroseed and Garbodor, as most of Floatzel's add apostrophe checks and counters lack reliable recovery, making them fairly easy to wear down. Mesprit is another great partner as it helps bring Floatzel in safely how? (u-turn i assume) and provides support in both Thunder Wave and Healing Wish.

Floatzel can decently run a Bulk Up + Baton Pass set, to decent success as its naturally high base Speed combined with increased bulk allows it to pass boosts efficiently. Water Veil is the preferred ability on this set as it allows Floatzel to avoid some annoying burns which may otherwise annoy it. The set is often less reliable than the specially offensive set, however, as it lacks the ability to effectively revengeadd spacekill offensive threats threars, and relies only on mono-Water coverage to actually deal damage, as the fourth move is normally either Substitute or Taunt. A Choice Band set capitalizes on Floatzel's naturally higher Attack stat, although this set is usually sub-optimal, as Choice Banded Floatzel is unable to switch attacks which restricts its coverage., remove comma Besides that, Floatzel's physical movepool is far less impressive than its special one. Crunch can be used on the specially offensive set to OHKO Jynx, which otherwise has a chance to switch in to Floatzel, as it can only 2HKO Jynx with Focus Blast which is inaccurate and unreliable.

**Water-types**: Floatzel can struggle to reliably damage Water-types such as Mantine, and Poliwrath, as it has to rely on Focus Blast or HP Hidden Power Electric to hit them. Lanturn is especially annoying, as it has great Special Defense, is immune to HP Hidden Power Electric and has a super-effective STAB move in <insert super-effective STAB move here> (i don't think it matters which move it is, and it is fairly intuitive that any electric-type move, be it volt switch, discharge, tbolt, heaviliy damages floatzel, probably ohkoing it) to hit Floatzel with.

**Faster Attackerss**: Floatzel's low defenses mean almost all Choice Scarf Pokemon, as well as Pokemon with strong priority moves such as Fake Out or Sucker Punch, and Swellow which outright outspeeds and OHKOs Floatzel.

**Grass-types**: All Grass-type Pokemon can take on Floatzel with their respective STAB-moves. Not all of them can safely switch in on it, but Lilligant, Vileplume, and Roselia for example can live an Ice Beam from full HP and OHKO Floatzel with Giga Drain, remove comma or any other Grass-type attack.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Bulky Pokemon such as Hariyama, Musharna, and Mega Audino can all tank multiple hits from Floatzel and proceed to hit it hard or set up on it. The latter two have to be wary of Taunt, as it can pressure them both Musharna and Mega Audino to switch out if they are low on HP.

[OVERVIEW]

Floatzel's profilic prolific Speed tier allows it to out-speed outspeed almost all relevant Pokemon in the tier bar Swellow, including potent offensive threats such as Tauros, Archeops, and Pyroar. Floatzel has a decent enough movepool which allows it to hit most of the tier hard. Floatzel's abilities are useful in some cases; as for example, Swift Swim allows it to outpace and OHKO Kabutops and Omastar under rain, while Water Veil can be used to occasionally avoid getting burned by Scald from Lanturn and Will-O-Wisp from Mismagius. Although its strong coverage moves mostly make up for it, Floatzel's Special Attack isn't very high, leaving it struggling to pressure Pokemon like Lanturn and Water-immunities is this term allowed? i'm not sure cuz it's like "Water-resists" which isn't allowed without having to rely on Focus Blast hitting multiple times. Floatzel is also quite frail, leaving it vulnerable to being revenge killed by priority from Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Hitmonchan and Shiftry. Floatzel also just feels right cuz you're listing lots of drawbacks here faces competition from other Water-types such as Samurott and Ludicolo, as they are bulkier and have better movepools.

Hydro Pump is Floatzel's main STAB-attack STAB attack and does solid damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Ice Beam provides great coverage alongside Hydro Pump, nailing Grass-types such as Vileplume, Gourgeist, and Lilligant for super effective damage. Focus Blast rounds out Floatzel's coverage, hitting Ferroseed and Abomasnow for super-effective remove hyphen damage as well as OHKOing Kangaskhan and providing neutral coverage on other Water-type Pokemon, while almost always two-shotting Jynx with it. Baton Pass keeps up offensive momentum, providing a free switch-in add hyphen to wallbreakers such as Magmortar, Abomasnow, add comma and Aurorus, while also avoiding Sucker Punch / and Pursuit mind-games versus Skuntank. Taunt is an alternative, remove comma that allows Floatzel to break through bulkier Pokemon such as Musharna and Mega Audino by preventing them from healing up, while also preventing Defog from Pokemon that would otherwise be able to easily get rid of hazards, like Mantine that would otherwise be able to get rid of any hazards on the field without too much trouble. Hidden Power Electric can be used to lure in Mantine, while also allowing Floatzel to reliably hit Water-types for the same damage as Focus Blast. Lastly, Substitute + and Baton Pass, although heavily decreasing Floatzel's longevity due to continuous Life Orb damage and 25% Substitute damage, is a nice way to pass a Substitute to a Pokemon that has a hard time setting it up itself and can come in on weaker checks to Floatzel such as Lanturn, like Abomasnow.

Set Details

Life Orb is the item of choice as it provides Floatzel with a necessary power boost while also allowing it to take full advantagee of its coverage options. Maximum Speed and Special Attack allow for Floatzel to hit as hard and fast as possible. A Timid nature is necessary to outspeed Tauros and Archeops, one of Floatzel's main perks. Swift Swim is chosen over Water Veil to give Floatzel a better matchup versus dedicated rain teams, and the ability to avoid burns with Water Veil is not as useful for this set.

Usage Tips
========

Floatzel is best used as a late-game add hyphen cleaner, where it can run through weakened teams with its fantastic Speed and coverage moves. Floatzel also has utility in being able to revenge kill fast offensive threats such as Archeops, Scyther, and Tauros. remove line break In situations where your opponent has a counter to Floatzel such as Lanturn at high HP, it is often optimal to use Baton Pass to generate momentum and get a Pokemon which that can handle said counter in safely. Floatzel can also use Ice Beam to pick off weakened targets without having to risk inaccurate Hydro Pumps. Try to avoid switching Floatzel in on anything other than weak resisted attacks, as its pitiful defenses combined with continuous Life Orb damage cause it to faint quickly otherwise.
