[OVERVIEW]

* Flygon carves its niche in the UU metagame as a Choice Scarf user and a setup sweeper thanks to its decent Speed and access to Dragon Dance.
* Flygon has access to coverage moves such as Fire Punch and Iron Tail that allow it to beat some of its checks in Scizor and Clefable.
* The combination of its typing and ability grants Flygon resistance to or immunity against all forms of entry hazards.
* It faces competition from Zygarde-10% as a Dragon Dance sweeper due to the latter's better speed and access to priority. However, Flygon's bulk and ability allow it to stand out a little.
* Flygon is incredibly weak and fails to net KOs even with Z-Crystal-boosted attacks. It is almost completely outclassed by Haxorus and Feraligatr as a Dragon Dance user just because Flygon is so much weaker in comparison.
* Overall it has very subpar bulk that can hinder it from setting up.
* Flygon also has middling Attack, so it doesn't hit very hard without a boost from Dragon Dance.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Dragon Dance converts Flygon into a dangerous sweeper by increasing both its Attack and Speed, allowing it to outspeed the entire metagame barring Choice Scarf users.
* Outrage is Flygon's main STAB move that does a fairly large amount of damage due to Flygon's base 100 Attack.
* Earthquake is Flygon's secondary STAB move that provides it with great coverage, notably hitting Steel-types that resist Outrage.
* Iron Tail is a coverage option that allows Flygon to hit Fairy-types such as Clefable.
* Fire Punch allows it to hit Steel-types that do not take a lot from Earthquake, such as Scizor and Forretress.

Set Details
========

* This Flygon invests entirely into Attack and Speed in order to ensure that it hits as hard as possible while being as fast as possible. Running maximum Speed with a Jolly nature is crucial because then after a Dragon Dance Flygon is able to outspeed Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Krookodile and avoid being revenge killed by them.
* Levitate is great in conjunction with Flygon's Ground typing, as it makes Flygon immune or resistant to every single form of entry hazard.
* Dragonium Z is Flygon's item of choice, as it provides Flygon with a very strong Dragon-type nuke and doesn't have a drawback of locking Flygon into the same move, unlike Outrage.
* Groundium Z can be run to give it a stronger Earthquake, denting Steel-types a bit better, and works well when Flygon is running Iron Tail for Fairy-types.
* Life Orb increases the damage output of all its moves at the cost of a tenth of its health.
* Steelium Z is an alternative to the mentioned items. It allows Flygon to wield a more powerful Iron Tail in order to break past Fairy-types such as Clefable after a Dragon Dance.

Usage Tips
========

* Due to Flygon's subpar bulk, it really doesn't have the capability to be switching in on anything, and considering this set is designed for Flygon to attempt a sweep, one wouldn't want it to.
* Therefore, this set is best brought in via a free switch, such as after a teammate has faintedor on a Choice-locked foe. For example, Krookodile is locked into Earthquake and Magneton locked into an Electric-type move are both situations where Flygon is able to switch in and set up freely.
* Flygon's middling bulk leaves it vulnerable to strong priority attacks such as Choice Band Scizor's Bullet Punch and Bisharp's Sucker Punch, so avoid setting up while these Pokemon are still active.
* Flygon usually has troubling muscling past Pokemon on its own. For this reason, ensure that its checks, like bulky Water-types, are sufficiently weakened before it sets up.
* Try to avoid locking Flygon into Outrage if there are still Pokemon that can take advantage of it, such as Fairy-types like Clefable and Steel-types like or Cobalion. Only click Outrage if they've been removed from play.

Team Options
========

* Entry hazards are crucial for a set such as this one. The residual damage helps by wearing away at the Pokemon that are able to check Flygon. To accomplish this, pairing Flygon with Klefki, Azelf, or Nidoqueen works well.
* Flygon isn't the strongest Pokemon out there, even after a Dragon Dance, so it tends to the need the aid of wallbreakers in order to function effectively. This makes Pokemon such as Primarina and Mega Blastoise a good choice, especially as they resist Ice-type moves directed at Flygon as well.
* Fire-types pair especially well with Flygon, as they are able to remove the Steel-, Fairy-, and Ice-types that can stand in Flygon's way. Infernape and Chandelure are good examples of this.
* Fighting-types and Steel-types such as Toxicroak and Cobalion also work well for similar reasons. They pressure Pokemon like Clefable, Scizor and Forretress that try to check Flygon.
* Magneton gets a special mention because it's able to trap Forretress and Scizor, which opens up a door for Flygon.
* Pokemon that are able to eliminate some of Flygon's checks, such as bulky Water-types, make for good partners. As a result, Raikou, Roserade or Decidueye pairs well with it.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Outrage
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: U-turn
move 4: Fire Punch / Dragon Claw
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Levitate
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Outrage is Flygon's main STAB move that does a fairly large amount of damage due to Flygon's base 100 Attack.
* Earthquake is Flygon's secondary STAB move that provides it with great coverage, particularly hitting Steel-types that resist Outrage.
* U-turn allows Flygon to shift momentum during the course of the battle.
* Fire Punch allows Flygon to hit Steel-types that don't take much from Earthquake like Scizor and Forretress. It also allows the player to hit Klefki that have used Magnet Rise, should that situation arise.
* Dragon Claw provides Flygon with a more reliable alternative to Outrage, although it is weaker.
* Iron Tail is an option to hit Fairy-types, but without the a boosting item it's pretty weak.

Set Details
========

* Jolly and maximum Speed are crucial for this set, as without it Flygon would be slower than the likes of Hydreigon, Krookodile, and Kyurem.
* Choice Scarf increases Flygon's Speed by one stage, allowing it to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and the Choice Scarf sets of Hydreigon, Krookodile, and Kyurem.
* Maximum Attack is invested in order to ensure that Flygon hits as hard as possible without a boosting item.
* Levitate is great in conjunction with Flygon's Ground typing, as it makes Flygon immune or resistant to every single form of entry hazard. This allows it to pivot around with U-turn more effectively.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to avoid locking Flygon into Outrage if the opponent still has Pokemon that can take advantage of it. Examples of these would be Fairy-types like Clefable and Steel-types like Cobalion. Only click Outrage if they've been removed from play.
* Flygon is used to pivot into Electric-types and Ground-types and U-turn out in order generate momentum. For example, Flygon would generally be used to switch into a predicted Electric-type attack (such as Thunderbolt from Magneton) or a predicted Ground-type attack (such as Earth Power from Nidoking). This forces the aforementioned Pokemon out of play and allows Flygon to shift momentum by using U-turn. This can give the player a matchup advantage.
* It can also serve as a revenge killer to Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Haxorus and Choice Scarf Hydreigon.

Team Options
========

* Wallbreakers that deal with Steel-types and Fairy-types are really useful, so Infernape, Chandelure, and Lucario pair well with Flygon.
* Flygon can form a VoltTurn core with Pokemon such as Scizor, Mienshao, and Magneton. Magneton is also able to remove checks to Flygon such as Forretress, Scizor, and Klefki.
* Entry hazard setters such as Roserade, Klefki, Froslass, and Azelf are Pokemon Flygon loves to partner with, as they allow it to rack up damage on switches with U-turn, which helps it clean up late-game.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Toxic on the Choice Scarf set lets Flygon hit bulky Water-type checks such as Milotic and Pokemon such as Unaware Clefable.
* Defog on the Choice Scarf set allows it to serve as an emergency hazard remover.
* It can run a defensive set, but that faces competition from Hippowdon and Latias.
* Flygon can viably run a Choice Band set, but that faces competition from Zygarde-10%.
* It can also run a mixed set utilizing Draco Meteor and Fire Blast to damage physical walls that tend to switch into it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Priority**: Flygon's frailty leaves it susceptible to strong priority users such as Choice Band Scizor and Life Orb Bisharp. However, neither is able to switch into Flygon.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Clefable and Primarina are able to absorb Flygon's Dragon-type STAB moves, although Clefable has to be cautious of Iron Tail and Primarina has to be wary of Earthquake.

**Physical Walls**: Physical walls such as Slowbro and Hippowdon take very little damage from Flygon's attacks and can retaliate with a Ice Beam or Toxic, respectively.

**Steel-types Not Weak to Ground**: Steel-types such as Bronzong, Scizor, and Forretress are very capable of checking Flygon, although they do have to be cautious of Fire Punch.

Make sure everything is in complete sentences.

Dragon Dance

Change the name to Dragon Dance.

In Team Options, include more examples of Pokemon that can set Stealth Rock than just Azelf.

Include a bullet point for wallbreakers in general in Team Options.

Choice Scarf

Explain what Choice Scarf does in Set Details.

Mention more Volt Switch/U-turn users in Team Options.

Other Options

Include Steelium Z as the first bullet point. Steelium Z Iron Tail lets Flygon bypass Clefable more easily.

QC 1/3 once this is implemented.

did. thanks! also i had already included a point for wallbreakers in dragon dance

Usage Tips
========

* Due to Flygon's sub-par bulk it really doesn't have the capability to be switching in on anything, and considering this set serves as a win condition, one wouldn't want it to. Not win condition, "wincon" if you must, otherwise "...is designed for Flygon to attempt a sweep..."
* Therefore this set is best brought in via a free switch, on a choice locked Pokemon or after a Pokemon has fainted so it can set up Dragon Dance easily. Add examples. What common situations in UU lead to a free switch? What common choice Pokemon are there?
* Flygon's middling bulk leaves it vulnerable to strong priority such as Choice Banded Scizor's Bullet Punch or Bisharp's Sucker Punch so avoid setting up while these Pokemon are still active. Good.
* Flygon usually has troubling muscling past Pokemon on its own. For this reason ensure that its checks, like bulky Water-types are sufficiently weakened before it sets up. If you mention bulky Water-types should be weakened, then you should also mention teammates that can do this in the next section. Be sure to repeat that these teammates can deal with bulky Water-types to emphasize the connection with this bullet point.

* Try to avoid locking Flygon into Outrage if there are Pokemon that can take advantage of it on the field. Examples of these would be Fairy types like Clefable or Steel types or Cobalion. Only click this if they've been removed from play. Good.
* Flygon is used to pivot into Electric-types and Ground-types and U-turn out in order generate momentum. Examples. Ideally, describe a situation such that people can figure out what pivoting and momentum is from context clues. "(describe the switches)...bring out something threatening to the opponent and force them to choose what takes a ton of damage".
* It can also serve as a revenge killer to Pokemon such as DD Haxorus or Scarf Hydreigon. Good.

i did this, i hope it looks okay. I'm also not sure why the revenge killer point or the u-turn point was even there...strange. they don't even apply to this set... in any case i changed those points for the Scarf set. Hopefully everything looks alright now. thank you!

make a mention for steelium in moves for dd since beating clef / togekiss reliably makes it a lot easier to sweep

remove lum in oo, flygon is niche enough of a sweeper as is and if ur running dd u might as well run an item to boost up ur power

Overview
  • These still aren't in complete sentences. Fix this before sending it off for GP please.
  • I feel like it's a little messy atm with how the benefits and drawbacks are organised. Here's how I'd do it.
1) Flygon's role as a Choice Scarf user and a setup sweeper thanks to its decent Speed and access to Dragon Dance.
2) Coverage moves in Iron Tail and Fire Punch
3) Typing + ability that makes it immune or resistant to all forms of entry hazards
4) How it faces competition from Zygarde-10% as a Dragon Dance sweeper, i.e. Zygarde's better Speed, access to priority, but then mention Flygon's niche in being a little bulkier
5) How its bulk, despite being better than Zygarde-10%'s, is still generally subpar, etc
6) Middling Attack, so it doesn't hit very hard without a boost from Dragon Dance.

Sets are fine.

Other options
  • You don't have to mention Steelium Z here, since you already did in Set Details.
Checks and Counters
  • Change "Steel-types" to "Steel-types not weak to Ground", since that's specifically the ones you're referring to and not like Metagross, granted its bulky enough to tank a neutral hit.
QC 3/3

Put it in gp fast so P Squared can do her thing.

Add something to the intro about overall lack of power - for example +1 tectonic rage doesn't KO clefable without a lot of prior damage, Life Orb is even weaker and kills itself, etc. just say that it's almostly fully outclassed by Haxorus, due to the insane difference in power, and even by Gatr as a DDer. The rest of the analysis does a good job at highlighting the lack of power, just needs to be added to the intro. Otherwise I agree with the above check.

* Levitate is the only ability Flygon has access to and is great in conjunction with Flygon's its Ground typing, (add comma) as it makes Flygon immune and / or resistant to every single form of entry hazard.
* Dragonium Z is Flygon's item of choice, (add comma) as it provides Flygon with a very strong Dragon-type nuke and doesn't have a drawback of locking Flygon into the same move, unlike Outrage.
* Groundinium Z is another item that Flygon is able to can be run to give it a stronger Earthquake, (add comma) denting Steel-types a bit better, (add comma) and works well when Flygon is running Iron Tail for Fairies Fairy-types.
* Life Orb is the final item that Flygon viably runs and increases the gives it an increased damage output of for all it's its moves at the cost of a tenth 10th of its health.
* Steelium Z is an alternative to the mentioned items. It allows Flygon to wield a more powerful Iron Tail in order to break past Fairy-types such as Clefable after a Dragon Dance.

Usage Tips
========

* Due to Flygon's subpar bulk, it really doesn't have the capability to be switching in on anything, and considering this set is designed for Flygon to attempt a sweep (sry lemonade pmed me to change this part; ask him for clarification) serves as a wincon, one wouldn't want it to.
* Therefore, (add comma) this set is best brought in via a free switch, such as for example, after a teammate Pokemon has fainted, (RC) or on a Choice-locked foe Pokemon. For example, (add comma) a Krookodile is locked into an Earthquake and or a Magneton locked into an Electric-type move are both situations where Flygon is able to switch in and set up freely.
* Flygon's middling bulk leaves it vulnerable to strong priority attacks such as Choice Banded Scizor's Bullet Punch and Bisharp's Sucker Punch, (add comma) so avoid setting up while these Pokemon are still active.
* Flygon usually has troubling muscling past Pokemon on its own. For this reason, (add comma) ensure that its checks, like bulky Water-types, (add comma) are sufficiently weakened before it sets up.
* Try to avoid locking Flygon into Outrage if there are still Pokemon that can take advantage of it on the field. Examples of these would be, such as Fairy-types like Clefable and Steel-types like or Cobalion. Only click Outrage this if they've been removed from play.

Team Options
========

* Entry hazards are crucial for a set such as this one. The residual damage It helps by wearing away at the Pokemon that are able to check Flygon. To accomplish this, (add comma) pairing Flygon with Klefki, Azelf, or Nidoqueen works well.
* Flygon isn't the strongest Pokemon out there, even after a Dragon Dance, so it tends to the need the aid of wallbreakers in order to function effectively. This makes Pokemon such as Primarina and Mega Blastoise a good choice, (add comma) especially as they resist Ice-type moves directed at Flygon as well.
* Fire-types pair especially well with Flygon, (add comma) as they are able to remove the Steel-types, Fairy-types, (add comma) and Ice-types that can stand in Flygon's way. Infernape and Chandelure are good examples of this.
* Fighting-types and Steel-types such as Toxicroak and Cobalion also work well for similar reasons. They pressure Pokemon like Clefable, Scizor and Forretress that try to check Flygon. So Pokemon like Cobalion, Toxicroak and such function well.
* Magneton
gets a special mention because it's able to trap Forretress and Scizor, (add comma) which opens up a door for Flygon.
* Pokemon that are able to eliminate some of Flygon's checks, such as bulky Water-types, make for good partners. As a result, (add comma) Raikou, Roserade or Decidueye pairs well with it.

Moves
========

* Outrage is Flygon's main STAB move that does a fairly large amount of damage due to its Flygon's base 100 Attack.
* Earthquake is Flygon's secondary STAB move that provides it with great a large amount of coverage, particularly also hitting Steel-types that resist Outrage.
* U-turn allows Flygon to shift momentum during the course of the battle.
* Fire Punch allows Flygon to hit Steel-types that don't take much from Earthquake like Scizor and Forretress. It also allows the player to hit Klefki that have used on the Magnet Rise, should that situation arise.
* Dragon Claw provides Flygon with a more reliable weaker alternative to Outrage, (add comma) although it is weaker has no drawbacks.
* Iron Tail is an option to hit Fairy-types, (add comma) but without the a Dragon Dance / Life Orb boosting item it's pretty weak.

Set Details
========

* Jolly and maximum Speed are crucial for this set, (add comma) as without it Flygon would be slower than the likes of Hydreigon, Krookodile, (add comma) and Kyurem.
* Choice Scarf increases Flygon's Speed by one stage, (add comma) allowing it to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and the Choice Scarf sets of Hydreigon, Krookodile, and Kyurem the above mentioned Pokemon.
* Maximum Attack is invested in order to ensure that Flygon still hits as hard as possible without a boosting item.
* Levitate is the only ability Flygon has access to and is great in conjunction with Flygon's its Ground typing, (add comma) as it makes Flygon immune and / or resistant to every single form of entry hazard. This allows it to pivot around with U-turn more effectively.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to avoid locking Flygon into Outrage if the opponent still has there are Pokemon that can take advantage of it on the field. Examples of these would be Fairy-types like Clefable and Steel-types like or Cobalion. Only click Outrage this if they've been removed from play.

========

* Wallbreakers that deal with Steel-types and Fairy-types are really useful, so Infernape, Chandelure, and Lucario are all Pokemon that pair well with Flygon.
* Flygon can form a VoltTurn core with Pokemon such as Scizor, Mienshao, and Magneton. Magneton is also able to remove checks to Flygon such as Forretress, Scizor, (add comma) and Klefki. Flygon also benefits from U-turn users such as Scizor and Mienshao.
* Entry hazard setters such as Roserade, Klefki, Froslass, (add comma) and Azelf are Pokemon Flygon loves to partner with, (add comma) as they allow it to can rack up damage on switches with U-turn, which and helps it clean up late-game.

Other Options
=============

* Toxic on the Choice Scarf set lets Flygon it hit bulky Water-type checks such as Milotic and Pokemon such as Unaware Clefable.
* Defog on the Choice Scarf set allows it to serve as an emergency hazard remover.
* It can run a defensive set, (add comma) but that faces competition from Hippowdon and Latias.
* Flygon can viably run a Choice Banded set, (add comma) but that faces competition from Zygarde-10%. (add period)
* It can also run a mixed set utilizing Draco Meteor and Fire Blast as this allows it to damage physical walls that tend to switch into it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Priority**: Flygon's frailty leaves it susceptible to strong priority users such as Choice Banded Scizor's Bullet Punch and Life Orb Bisharp's Sucker Punch. However, Though neither is are able to switch into Flygon.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Clefable and Primarina are able to absorb Flygon's Dragon-type STAB moves, although Clefable has to be cautious of Iron Tail and Primarina has to be wary of Flygon clicking Earthquake.

**Physical Walls**: Physical walls such as Slowbro and Hippowdon take very little damage from Flygon's attacks sets and can retaliate with a Ice Beam or Toxic, respectively.

**Steel-types Not Weak to Ground-type**: Steel-types such as Bronzong, Scizor, and Forretress are very capable of checking Flygon, (add comma) although they do have to be cautious of Fire Punch.
thank you so much! implemented this, congratulations on 1000 gp checks :D
