Arena: Fountain of Dreams

A fountain filled with water with platforms rising on geysers. As this is shallow water, there is no digging. If you fall off the edge, you are teleported to the center of the stage with no HP/energy loss. Obviously there is water enough for any type of water move (but no bonus power to water type attacks).

To help prevent ganging up on one player, you are not allowed to attack the same player with consecutive actions (you must always change your target). Note: This is eliminated when there are two players left (obviously), and multi-target moves do not count as hitting one certain player.

Lowest evolution possible for a poke! (Dratini, Embirch, Pichu, etc)

Turn order will be determined in each update. Don't worry, I got it.

Let's go Gatrie! All of these Pokemon look like they could give us trouble. Let's start with Gastly, nailing it with a Payback. Afterwards, hit Scratchet with a Will-o-Wisp, then finish with a second Payback on Gastly.
If you are taunted by the second action, use Night Shade on Larvitar instead.

"Alright Boulderstrike, if dan doesn't want to bother us then we won't bother him! Lead off with a Taunt on Gastly before it can try any funny business, then hit that Scratchet with a Dig! Finish off with a Smack Down on Gastly! If you're Taunted on the first action, then replace your taunt with a Smack Down on Gastly, then replace your later Smack Down with an Earthquake!

Summary:
Taunt(Gastly) -> Dig(Scratchet) -> Smack Down(Gastly)
If Taunted action 1 change actions to Smack Down(Gastly) -> Dig(Scratchet) -> Earthquake

OK Lesale if Duskull wants to mess with us, lets mess with him. Start off by Taunting him to stop that WOW and then change your target to Larvitar by tripping him with a Grass Knot. Finish up with a Toxic on Duskull

Taunt (Duskull)~Grass Knot (Larvitar)~Toxic (Duskull)

We have an uphill battle Hades because you are the main target this round. Guess everyone thinks your too good. Start off with an Energy Ball on Boulderstrike. Follow up with a Sludge Bomb on Lesale, then try to nab that KO on Boulderstrike with another Energy Ball.

Round One!

Welcome to the Fountain of Dreams, where you can make your own dreams come true (for only 6 easy payments of 99.99)! Of course, there are also battles present, like the one today! Today, we're bringing you the "melee" part of "Super Smash Bros. Melee." Enjoy!

Hades the Gastly starts the match off by hurling a small ball of life (read: plant matter) towards Boulderstrike the Larvitar, dealing quite a bit of damage. Lesale the Scratchet goes next, Taunting Gatrie the Duskull into a blind rage. Boulderstrike seems to like the Taunting tactic as well, as he Taunts Hades into a blind rage! Ragers will rage, I suppose. Gatrie hasn't taken damage, but still decides to strike Hades with a vengeful strike, dealing some damage.

Hades goes first again, shooting a rather large blob of toxic material towards Lesale, dealing a fair amount of damage. Lesale takes the hit in stride, turns around, and trips Boulderstrike with a trap made of grass, dealing a lot of damage. Boulderstrike isn't too happy about all the damage taken, digging beneath the ground in order to avoid more attacks. Gatrie, lucky that he hasn't been targeted yet, goes for some residual damage, shooting some ghostly flames towards Lesale. Lesale immediately reacts to the flames, as he seems to have been burned!

Hades goes on another huge damage spree, shooting a second ball of life towards Boulderstrike, dealing a large amount of damage again. Lesale, on the other hand, stops with the offensive, spraying deadly neurotoxins all over Gatrie, who seems to have become poisoned! Hurt by all the damage, Boulderstrike hurls a large energized rock towards Hades, dealing some damage. What's that? It seems that Hades has fallen to the ground, unable to levitate! Interesting... Gatrie closes the round by striking Hades again with a powerful hit, dealing good damage.

End.

EDIT: Ack Taunt error; fixing now (sorry) Fixed; Taunt prevented the WoW from working, so Duskull used Night Shade on Larvitar instead.

Open up with a Thunderbolt on Gatrie to deal some damage to him. Then hit Boulderstrike with another Energy Ball. Finish up with another Thunderbolt on Gatrie, he hasn't taken nearly enough damage yet compared to everyone else.

"Bleh, looks like they don't like us in here. If they want to be like that then so be it. Dig underground to start, but stay under there until the end of the second action to avoid all those Grass moves! Once you're back on the surface, use an Earthquake!"

Summary:
Evasive Dig -> Evasive Dig -> Earthquake

Hmm, this seems like an opening for us Gatrie!

Start the round off with a Shadow Sneak on that Gastly. Then hit that Scratchet with a Return while they are all busy trying to hit Boulderstrike. Finish with a Payback on Gastly, which should knock the ghost out.

EDIT:

Outdrawn Trots!

We're back!!! Hades starts the round yet again... wait no, wrong ghost! Gatrie actually starts the round for us this time, popping out of his shadow and attacking Hades quickly before anybody can even blink! Hades takes some damage, but quickly retaliates by firing off a crackling thunderbolt that strikes Gatrie right on the skull, also dealing a good amount of damage. Largely ignored, Lesale cheers himself up, raising both his offensive stats by one stage! This is bound to get him noticed. Unfortunately, that won't be happening this action, as Boulderstrike quickly digs beneath the fountain arena, trying to evade the future attacks.

Boulderstrike's strategy seems to work, as both Hades and Lesale try to attack him with their respective attacks. The ball of life smacks the ground of the arena, and a small bunch of plants grow from the ground! Lesale goes for a more mirthless approach, attempting to set up another snare of grass, but just gives up when he can't even see the underground Larvitar. As Gatrie smacks Lesale pretty hard with a bog-standard normal attack, Boulderstrike resurfaces on the side of the arena, opting not to hit anybody. Strange.

Hades shoots another wicked bolt of electricity towards, Gatrie, dealing significant damage once again. Who knew that a little wisp of shadow could be so powerful! Lesale decides not to attack again, instead opting to pump himself up by focusing his energy. Boulderstrike, finally resurfaced, summons a massive earthquake to hit the entire arena, dealing good damage to Lesale and massive damage to the still-unable-to-levitate Hades. Gatrie just floats lazily over the tremors, floating, drifting, getting a little closer to Hades, floating, drifting, and BAM. One sudden strike hits Hades, managing to knock the wispy ghost out!

Den.

A mysterious voice booms out into the arena: "Both Lesale and Gatrie are in pretty good positions to win... maybe Gatrie is on top?"

danmantincan, it turns out that the multiplier was completely irrelevant.

"Alright Boulderstrike, we only have one option here. Use an evasive Dig and stay underground for the entire round! We'll let them duke it out and hopefully we'll be able to take out whoever's left at the end!"

Summary:
evasive Dig -> evasive Dig -> evasive Dig

Let's start this off by using Taunt on Scratchet, to see if he's willing to KO Larvitar before it goes underground. Then use Return on Scratchet, or attack Larvitar with a Night Shade if it is still alive, and you're forced to attack an underground opponent. Then finish with a Confuse Ray.

If you are taunted, use Night Shade on Larvitar, followed by a Return on Scratchet. Then use Night Shade on Larvitar again.

Round Three!

Lesale starts the round off by smashing some rock fragments into Gatrie's spooky face. Rather mean, isn't it? Boulderstrike responds by digging back into the ground of the arena, avoiding all attacks. Gatrie taunts Lesale, forcing him to use non-attacking moves!!!

It's a good thing, too, as Lesale attempts to cheer himself up to no avail. As Boulderstrike stays belowground, Gatrie smacks Lesale again with a loving strike, but fails to deal extra damage this time. What's this? Gatrie is at lower health than Lesale!

Now, Lesale leaps viciously at Gatrie, slashing him a whopping five times with his sharp claws. One of the hits even deal critical damage! Gatrie retaliates by shooting a beam of confusing light at Lesale, moderately confusing him! Boulderstrike finally surfaces, at the cost of quite a bit of energy.

End.

Summary:

Ok, here's hoping that Scratchet hurts itself in confusion the first action and only on the first action.

Start with a Shadow Sneak on Larvitar. Then it should be KOed from the Grass Knot. If your still alive, use Pain Split on Scratchet, and finish with Will-o-Wisp on Scratchet.

Also, Scratchet should be Taunted for 4 more actions, since it's only used 2 since it was Taunted.

Round Four!

Gatrie starts us off this time, surprisingly, quickly jumping into his own shadow and popping out at the other end, hitting Boulderstrike for some surprising damage. Lesale attempts to hit Gatrie, but smacks himself in confusion instead! Boulderstrike feels the pain and immediately retaliates by shooting an energized rock at Gatrie, making him unable to levitate!

Lesale is still confused, but he manages to create another snare of grass, tripping the heavy Boulderstrike and knocking him out! Gatrie quickly picks up the pace, splitting his health with Lesale's; I wonder how Gatrie will manage to keep up with the toxic damage!

Lesale furiously swipes at Gatrie again with his sharp claws, managing to deal some decent damage even with only three hits. Gatrie retaliates by shooting ghoulish flames at Lesale, burning him!

Evening out the two auras of health again, Gatrie scrapes enough health to withstand the internal assaults of the deadly neurotoxins. Lesale attempts to smash some rock fragments at Gatrie, but the burn prevents him from dealing too much damage. Gatrie, however, is unaffected, striking Lesale hard with a loving strike. As the second action draws to a close, both Pokemon take damage from their respective statuses, falling unconscious at the same time.

Each Pokemon obtains 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC.
Lesale and Gatrie each gain 2 KOC.

I obtain 4 RC.

GG all, I'm surprised I was able to come out of that with a draw. Also, shouldn't Lesale and Gatrie get 2 KO Counters? Lesale KOed Boulderstrike and Gatrie. And Gatrie KOed Hades and Lesale.
