[Fire] Frosty v Matezoide: A Summer's Day In Hell

5 v 5 Gym Triples
3 Day DQ
Infinite Chill/Recovery
3 Mega Evolutions
Arena=Lost Woods
Items=On
Abilities=All
Switch=OK
Subs: 3
Turn Order determined by Coin Flip

Summary
- All moves, except for Fissure, can be used. Hail and Sand can't be summoned without the respective stones.
- Instead of using the 0.75 BAP multiplier, the entire damage dealt by a spread move is multiplied by 0.67. So the formula is: ((BAP [Ignore standard spread modifier] *Screens + stuff - stuff)*Weakness/Resistance+Stat Stage Differences+Item/Ability/Weather Effects)*0.67 = Damage
- No flinches (except for fake out)
- Hazards are useless and other field effects's duration is lowered by 1 round/3 actions
- Grassy Terrain is always up, stacking with others if needs be
- Every pokemon can use Dazzling Gleam.
- Air Lock has no effect.

Matezoide's team
pay special attention to snorlax for being a broken piece of shit

<Snorlax> [Owen] (M)

Nature: Quiet (-10% Evasion)

Type: Normal

Normal: Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

About: A Munchlax with a knack for battling, there is nothing Owen likes more than a good fight (Other than food, naturally). Attracted by a honey tree, Owen was quick to ignore it in order to defend himself against Stella's Close-Combat, much to everyone's surprise. After a short stalemate, Owen was quickly brought down by Will's Megahorn and captured.
Loving the opportunity to train and become a strong, fat Snorlax, the young Munchlax trains hard and wishes to battle as many strong opponents as he can.....after he is done eating.

Immunity: (Passive) This Pokemon's body has an immensely strong immune response to venom and does not take poison damage when Poisoned. Toxic Poisoning will not do damage; however, it will continue to grow more severe.

Thick Fat: (Passive) This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)

Gluttony (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED): (Passive) This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat).

<Sigilyph> [Ezekiel] (Male)
Nature: Modest (+Sp.Attack, -Attack)

Type: Psychic / Flying
Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes. when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.

About: A random Sigilyph caught at some ruins, he prefers to be called ''Zeke''. Ezekiel loves history and is always ready to learn more. Despite his confidence in his fighting abilites, Zeke really hates show-offs, and will not hesitate to attack whoever annoys him by being a dick.

ABILITIES
Wonder Skin (Passive):
The Pokemon's skin has an agent that heaviliy resists attempts to change its composition. It changes the accuracy of all non-damaging attacks to 50% before applying any other modifiers.
Magic Guard (Passive):This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, and Burn. It can still attack itself in confusion, but will not take any damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect the Pokemon will not suffer any damage. Life Orb recoil is not negated.
Tinted Lens (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED, Passive): When this Pokemon uses an attack that is normally not very effective, that attack is calculated at the next highest resisrance modifier. (e.g. 4x resistance is calculated at 2x, 2x resistance becomes neutral).

Natara is generaly seen as the team's little brother sister (alongside Mordecai) and is sure to bring joy and happiness wherever she goes.

Thick Fat (Passive): This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance.

Sap Sipper (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED, Passive): This Pokemon lives on a steady diet of plants and has developed defenses to every Grass-type attack. @ Expert Belt

@ Rare Candy

@ Sea Incense

Sigilyph: Pyshock (Infernape) -> Psychic (Infernape)

If Infernape has Double-Team clones up, use Air Cutter that action
If Infernape is underground, use Air Slash (Pyroak) that action and push-back.
If Infernape is under the effects of a protective/evasive action, use Air Slash (Pyroak) that action and push-back

KO Sub: If Infernape is knocked out, use Air Slash (Pyroak) that action

Donphan: Earthquake -> Earth Power (Infernape)

If Pyroak uses Wood Hammer targetting you outside of a combination AND Pyro doesnt have Double-Team clones up AND Pyro isnt behind a Substitute, use Counter that action, but only once
If Infernape is ordered to use Counter AND you are not taunted, use Stealth Rock that action, but only once.
If damaging Grass type combo, use Substitute (15) that action

KO Sub: If Infernape is knocked out, use Rock-Slide that action

Azumarill: Waterfall (Infernape) -> Dive (Infernape)

If it is Sunny when you would move, use Rain Dance that action and pus back
If Infernape has been ordered to use Counter AND it is raining, use Waterfall (Ninetales) that action
If Infernape uses Substitute, change that action to Encore (Infernape). This sub takes priority.

KO Sub: If Infernape is knocked out, target Pyorak

Now to see how badly i fucked up lol....Triples are so tiring to order for @.@

BEGIN!

Welcome to this match in the middle of hectic woods. I graduate tomorrow. I've had enough of lengthy, vaguely amusing ramblings about stuff that no one really pays attention to. They just want to see statistics, either in class rank or the calculations down below. But here are some highlights. Matezoide got clobbered this round, although he did knock Infernape into some pretty dire straights. Despite this, I would not count the challenger out yet as he has three almost perfectly healthy Pokemon for the next round without switching, advantageous weather, and the ability to order second. In short, anything could still happen.

Oh, and Donphan fainted.

Azumarill should have 12 less HP thanks to Earthquake

"Alright, folks, we gotta move faster if we want to succeed here!

Imprison (Protect - Substitute - Bide) - Will-o-Wisp (Azumarill)
IF
Rain is up when Ninetales is to attack THEN Activate Drought and push back
IF Azumarill is Burned A2 THEN Flame Burst (Sigilyph) A2
IF Encore AND Ninetales is the target THEN Flame Burst (Blissey) and push back

[MEGA-EVOLVE] Sludge Bomb (Azumarill) - Snarl
[ONLY ONCE] IF
Blissey is to use Helping Hand AND Houndoom is the target of Azumarill's attack THEN Protect and push back
IF Sigilyph is to use Trick Room AND Sigilyph isn't Taunted AND Houndoom isn't Taunted AND Sigilyph doesn't have clones up AND Trick Room isn't up AND Houndoom is faster THEN Taunt (Sigilyph) and push back
IF Azumarill is to use Super Power AND Houndoom is the target AND Azumarill isn't under a substitute THEN Counter and push back

[MEGA-EVOLVE][Drought] Lava Plume - Air Slash (Azumarill)
[ONLY ONCE] IF
Blissey is to use Helping Hand AND Charizard is the target of Azumarill's attack THEN Protect and push back
IF Azumarill is to use Encore AND Charizard is the target THEN Lava Plume and push back
IF Blissey is to use an Electric-Typed damaging COMBO AND Charizard is the target THEN 15hp substitute AND push back

/me is seriously considering setting subs at 4.

Going for the damage race this round seems foolish. Thankfully, we have a different plan.

Really?

....No.

Sigilyph: Trick-Room -> Ancientpower (Charizard)

Azumarill: Encore (Houndoom) -> Rock-Slide

Blissey: Heal Pulse (Sigilyph) -> Light Screen

If Trick Room is not up A2, use Heal Pulse (Azumarill) that action

Frosty plays around Light Screen with a set of last-ditch offensives that badly wound Sigilyph, allowing it to be finished off early in the second action. Matezoide almost KO's Charizard, but Protect leaves it alive... but Ninetales low on energy. It's unclear precisely how this will end with the challenger ordering second next round, but being down 3-5 is never good in a gym, especially without a clear matchup advantage.
