ahThanks to Deck Knight for checking the grammar of this.

A rather narrow tunnel appears before you, completely covered in ice. As you travel through it, you can't shake the feeling that the tunnel is going up, but the slope must be really slight. The tunnel goes on, with several curves, until you reach the outside. A frigid wind blows throughout the white peaks, carrying thousands of snowflakes along. A thick blanket of snow covers the cliffs and bridges of ice connect the mountains with each other. You make your way across one of these cliffs, though slowed by incessant winds, until you reach an extremely narrow ice bridge. You wonder if it can withstand your weight, but after a careful attempt, it seems so. Luckily for you, an impenetrable mist hides the gulch below, else you might have turned back.

You finally reach another cliff, which after a few meters leads you to a cavern. But instead of the narrow tunnels you've encountered previously, you find yourself under a breathtaking vault, massive in scale and height. As you continue, looking around the mirror-like walls of ice, you suddenly notice a block of ice, which seems more... particular than the others. As you get near it, you realize it represents some kind of mythological creature, probably a deity or something. Below this odd sculpture, some strange writings may be seen, but you're clueless as to their meaning; they don't look like any language you recognize.

You decide it would be better to keep going, but without warning a quake afflicts the vault, sending fissures through the ice. You try to flee, but before you can do anything, the ice shatters beneath your feet, causing a precipitous fall. Fortunately, you land on soft snow. Still chilly and shuddering, you rise to see where you ended up. This place is much darker than the vault you were in before, though it appears the ice all around reflects the light coming from outside, making it somewhat easier for you to see. A closer look, however, seems to suggest that some of the ice crystal are glowing internally. "How is that even possible?", you wonder, but since you're not in the best position to study such a crystal, you start to think about how to get out. After some investigation, you find a wall where you can sense a feeble breeze. You realize it could be shattered to get to the other side, but... it looks like you're not alone!

From the darkness come a ray of pure Ice and a mighty beam of pure energy, both aimed at Street Fighter. The Scrafty endures the hit relatively well, though. Then, a sneaky Weavile and an eerie Froslass show up, angered and agressive! Link Gun immediately opens with his main artillery, and fires a barrage of rocks at Weavile. Bella cripple it with noxius toxins, which are ignited by Polaris' shocking wave of poison. Street Fighter jumps in the air, and with an acrobatic maneuver smashes Weavile with a lethal kick.

The Dark-type Pokémon retaliates with a violent tail whip, which leaves the Scrafty's defenses exposed, while the Ghost-type lass chills him with a freezing breath. Link Gun keeps firing his stone artillery, aided by Polaris' devastating poisonous spits. Bella instead focuses her attention on Froslass, and blasts her with a shadowy orb. Battered and wounded, Street Fighter mashes Weavile with his fist, tapping into the foe's energies to heal up his hurt body a little

Suddendly, Weavile vanishes in the dark! Froslass fires a beam of odd lights at Polaris, who remains dazed. Link Gun attempts to enfeeble the opponents' guard, but Froslass is impervious to his attempt. Bella goes with a more direct approach, and fires a globe of shadowy energies at the icy lass, while her mate manages to shrug off confusion for a while and launches a batch of sludge where Weavile was, but missing the target. It goes worse for Street Fighter, though, who was already jumping in air when Weavile disappeared, and finishes crashing against the wall behind.

Froslass turns on the Gothitelle, and cripples her with a jolt of electricity. The Cloyster, realizing Weavile is not gonna come back for now, picks Froslass as the new target, and blasts her with a quick barrage of stones. Polaris attempts to follow the example, but he ends up hitting himself in confusion - the hit clears finally his mind, though. The Scrafty tries to turn on Froslass as well, but the Ice-type phantom laughs as his enemy's punch courses through her untangible body.

As suddendly as he vanished, Weavile reappears, delivering a lethal sneak attack on Bella as he returns visible. Froslass adds with a vicious freezing bite. Meanwhile, Link Gun slashes her with his sharpened shell, and Polaris cripple her with poison as well. Street Fighter ravages her with his teeth, and the Gothitelle simply blasts her with an orb of shades.

Now, Weavile's attention turns on the Scrafty, as he charges forward and slams him with outrageous power. Froslass unload the big guns as well, and blasts Gothitelle with a beam of pure energy. The Cloyster gives her a payback with his own stony artillery, while Polaris ignites Weavile's toxins for massive damage. The Scrafty goes even further, and mashes the Dark-type enemy with his fist, draining back some much needed life in the process. Bella, despite the paralysis, manages to shrug it off and emits a pulse of darkness towards Froslass.

Ok, we should be able to get Weavile down. Shame Belle won't be able to help against Froslass though in all likelihood.

Street Fighter: Brick Break Weavile~Drain Punch Weavile, if Weavile becomes untargetable use Rock Slide~Crunch Froslass instead.

Link Gun: Rock Blast Weavile~Razor Shell Froslass

Weavile keeps battering at the Scrafty with a swift one-two, while Froslass floats over the Gothitelle and bites her ferociously. Link Gun immediately repels the Dark-type foe with a barrage of sharpened rocks. Polaris blasts Weavile as well with an orb of noxious poison which ends up tainting him. Street Fighter shows he can defend himself well enough, and repels the assault with an aimed punch which hits the enemy's softened defenses. Bella can only act slowly, but nevertheless she fires off a phantom sphere at the icy lady.

Once again, Weavile grins maliciously and vanishes in the dark. This time around, though, Froslass doesn't meddle with annoying tactics and pays the last hit back, leaving Bella in dire straws. Link Gun avenges the attack slashing her with his shell, but he doesn't hurt her much. The Weezing aims at the Weavile - unaware of where he went, though. The Scrafty is keener, and ravages the female enemy with his maws, while the Gothitelle desperately attempts to repel the impending attack with a pulse of darkness.

I guess we need to conserve some energy before taking on Froslass.

Street Fighter, you will have to go down this match, but let's work towards the goal!

    Crunch Froslass~Drain Punch Weavile

If Weavile is unhittable action 2, just chill on action 2.

Link Gun, Razor Shell Froslass~Rock Blast Froslass

Change actions to Rock Blast Weavile if Weavile is hittable action 2.

Since Weavile is nowhere to be seen, the team focuses on Froslass once again - not before she crippled poor Scrafty with paralysis, though. Link Gun ravages her with his sharpened shell, while Polaris scorches her with a blast of fire. Street Fighter bites her viciously, and even Bella manages to shrug off paralysis and blast her with the power of shadows. Incidentally, the Scrafty changed skin and removed the effects of paralysis.

Suddendly, Weavile comes out of shadows and ambushes Polaris. The hit is remarkably strong, but the Weezing is sturdy enough to withstand it. Link Gun and Street Fighter promptly turns on the Dark-type thug, and with a combination of rocks and fists, they finally knock him out. However, meanwhile Froslass finishes Bella with a mighty thunderbolt, while Polaris chilled out to regain energies.

Now the battle heatens up! Will Destiny Warrior and iiMKUltra come out victorious against the icy spectre?

Now that Gothitelle is out of the picture, Froslass turns her attention on Link Gun, blasting him with a mighty beam of energy. The remaining three members of the team don't react, but instead chill a while to recover energies.

Froslass doesn't wait, though, and zaps the Cloyster with a blindingly fast jolt of electricity. Link Gun this time retaliates with his artillery of rocks and stones, while Polaris scorches her with seething flames and Street Fighter ravages her with a vicious bite.

Froslass furiously blasts Link Gun with a mighty beam, and she has even the time to throw in a shadowy globe of darkness while the team rests a bit, but the aftermath finally comes. The Cloyster strikes five times the Ice-type lady with sharpened rocks, Polaris scorches her with a fiery star of flames, and Street Fighter closes the battle with a fierce bite which knocks out even the phantom lass!

Congratulations, Destiny Warrior and iiMKUltra, on your success!

You both gain the standard amount of counters you deserve (you'll receive them at the end of your challenge). Moreover, each of you get a Glyph of Ice Shard!

    What's a Glyph? (open)

A Glyph is an item of great power, which may be equipped to a Pokémon to improve the effects of a specific move he knows. Note that the effects of glyphs only apply within Raid Zones, and that a Pokémon may carry only one Glyph at a time.

Glyphs are one-time use items, much like DPP TMs. Any Pokémon which learns the move which gives the name to the Glyph may equip the Glyph. You should take note of the Glyphs equipped to your Pokémon in your Registration post, below STAB Descriptions and above Stats. In order to equip or overwrite a Glyph, you need to post in the ASB Raid Zone General Thread (when it will be up after this test).

Until used, a Glyph should be placed in your backpack (again, take note of it in your registration post). You may not give this Glyph to anyone else. It is effectively bound to you until you use it on a Pokémon of yours.

A Glyph works pretty much like an Innate Ability. It doesn't take energy or actions to be used.

Glyph of Ice Shard: Raises the base power of Ice Shard by 4 and its energy cost by 3.

The follow-up post will be uploaded soon, don't post in the meantime.

Finally you manage to clear the way and shatter the wall. A tunnel is revealed, which brings you back to the vault you were in before the floor collapsed. As you procede, you notice more of the ruins you spotted before. Most of them are damaged to the point you can't possibly understand what they were originally, but suddendly some drawings on the wall catch your attention. The first image shows the same mythological creature whose statue you saw before, in front of several humanoid figures which seem to pray towards the creature. The second image feature the deity (or sort of), surrounded by seven circles. Each of the circles is shaped with intricated patterns which probably have some meaning you don't manage to understand. The third image, the last one, shows a great building - a temple, or something like that - upon which the deity floats. Seven rays depart far away from him. You wonder what all this is about.

At the end of the halls, you find a hole, with large stairs made of pure ice going down. You descend through them, and suddendly you find yourselves staring in awe. A giant cavern, probably high over 50 meters and even more in width, extends below the vault. At the center of the cavern, a large spire of ice connects the soil with the ceiling above. You walk down the stairs until reaching the floor, and you get near the spire. More writings show up on it, similar to the ones you saw next to the sculpture of the deity. You try to read through them but, all of a sudden, the stale air of the cavern is disturbed by something. Your senses are keen enough to make you turn in time to see a beam of ice aimed at your position! You manage to dodge it barely, and meanwhile you spot a blue, feathered bird flying around the spire. After some seconds the bird tries to attack again, and you throw your Poké Ball in defense!
