Solstice calmly sends an Eevee out onto the field. The Eevee, who for the purposes of clarification we will call Fellow, happily launches a blast of its flaming inner power at Fischer.

Fischer, just barely slower, precisely chops Fellow in spite of his burned form. Eevee is hurt, but the burn and the Hidden Power have roasted Fischer more.

Calling upon the well of its power again, though needing to expend a little more energy to unlock it this time, Fellow continues to launch hidden energies at Fischer, who is reduced to merely chilling out this round-Galladiator seems to be worried for the guy's energy.

Fischer readies himself for one last chop at Fellow, but the jolly Eevee rapidly charges up a final Hidden Power, which overwhelms Fischer and forces him to faint. Galladiator will have to send out a new Pokemon next round, it seems.

Zapdos is relieved by Fellow's far more responsible usage of fire, and doesn't do anything this round. Her chicks simply continue to put out the Will O' Wisp from the prior round.

So yeah, it's now Galladiator's turn to send out his next mon. Solstice will then post actions, then Galladiator will post actions.

Ok Fellow it's dog vs cat, and we all know who wins that fight!

Start us off with a Sand Attack then follow through with a Tackle. Finish up with a Yawn.

"As Carlos is sent out, the Shinx seems to be getting pumped for this battle-he seems to be eyeing Fellow like a...rival? (well, they are opposite genders and in the same egg group, after all...) He releases an intimidating roar at Fellow while staring at his opponent with darkness in his eyes, causing the Eevee to stumble backwards slightly with fear.

In an attempt to deter the surprisingly ferocious Shinx, the timid Fellow bats sand at his face. However, this only makes Carlos angrier, and with primordial reaction, he bites Fellow with dark power.

In response, Fellow weakly tackles Carlos, knocking him backwards. The sly Shinx, although damaged slightly, grins, before suddenly vanishing from in front of Fellow and reappearing to both sides of his adversary. Which one to choose, which one? Well, it seem as though Fellow chose wisely, as he yawns loudly at the correct clone. Carlos is getting tired, too tired to maintain that clone, and he needs rest.

He responds by violently tackling Fellow, with much greater intensity than Fellow's own-even Carlos himself is taking some wounds!

As the battlers continue to struggle, they await fresh commands. It's apparently Galladiator's turn to order, by the way."

"Fellow starts by batting more sand at Carlos. Carlos starts by desperately trying to bolt at Fellow...and he wildly misses! The sands Eevee is batting at Carlos are certainly coming in handy!

Fellow overcomes his fears briefly, launching at Carlos with great speed. However, the fairly timid Eevee again fails to do much damage to the Shinx. Carlos attempts to show his rival a lesson, launching at Fellow with lightning in his paws...only, again to widly miss.

...I should have reminded the guy, but I'm willing to DQ Galladiator if he doesn't post in 24 hours. (I'm giving him mercy primarily due to my own lax posting habits.) Bumping for his sake.

It's been a week.

Geez, check the sig next time. I'm out of town at the moment, and I didn't have much time for posting anything because I wanted to spend time with family. I only see them twice a year, so I want to spend as much time with them as possible. Plus I lost track of the thread, so yeah. Excuse me for having a life.

Triple Wild Charge, since I'm kinda pissed and don't feel like being creative.

Pardon me, then. I will try to keep that in mind, but please PM the people you're battling with next time. We do not necessarily have access to signatures.

Not much of interest occurs this round. Carlos spams his ability to wildly charge at Fellow, Fellow spams orbs of darkness. Not even Zapdos decides to shake things up. Fellow is brought to the verge of fainting thanks to a critical hit.

At this point, the ref realized DougJustDoug's clarification on accuracy-reducing moves, and adjusted Shinx's accuracy stage accordingly.

"Fellow decides to get one last quick attack in before he faints-and surprisingly enough, it nabs him a critical hit!

However, it seems as though Carlos is too strong for Fellow, and he Tackles Fellow to the ground, fainting him.

Zapdos seems to be checking an old wall clock that still somehow works. She isn't attacking this round."

After a clarification on sendout order, Solstice will send out both his mon and take his actions in the same post, then Galladiator will post.

Sending out Bushido the Shroomish who will start out with a self-poison powder, then he'll use Headbutt twice.

Self-Poison Powder - Headbutt - Headbutt

...It's sad to first add PoisonPowder to the success list, then to suddenly realize that this battle is still using the old STAB descriptions and thus doesn't have a 50% chance of failing...

and then to realize you've already reffed one of the battlers' evolved form in the tournament.

Lesson learned: Never take a match with a 5 day DQ and shirk on it.

Determined to get in as much hurt as possible in as short a time as he can (despite not feeling any rivalry with the Fairy/Plant Shroomish), Carlos hurls himself at Shroomish, fangs coated in an aura of cold. The frost in his icy fangs easily harms the cold-sensitive Bushido, while Bushido simply begins coating himself with poisonous powder, activating his natural healing.

Alas, hax rears its ugly head. Shinx tries twice to hit Shroomish again, first with a wild charge and then with another fang of ice, but the residual sand in his eyes from Fellow's sand attack causes him to barely miss Bushido both times. Bushido, meanwhile, successfully headbutts Shinx twice, bringing him down for the count, all the while slowly healing from his wounds....

Sigh...it seems I tire of the match, as does Zapdos. She isn't moving yet, of course, although she certainly didn't like the results when Shinx's wild charge missed. However, as Carlos just showed, Jirachi is on the move, gambler's fallacy notwithstanding, so perhaps we might see Zapdos' Drill Peck again in the last few rounds? Either way, it's Galladiator's turn to order again.

Join the club. Except for Pawniard mine have evolved too (Irwin all the way, Carlos to Luxio). I'm actually thinking about trading Fischer, tbh.

Oh yeah, I likely won't be on much from tomorrow evening my time (GMT -5) to Saturday evening/Sunday morning my time (also GMT -5). Just a heads up. I'll try to post as soon as I can when I do get back.
