We all gathered here today to witness the joining of these two trainers in great combat to the death. Galladiator first threw down the gauntlet:

Soon, dan saw this challenge and decided to accept, with his own moderations of the rules:

And so we find ourselves gathered for a 3v3 Singles match in the middle of a desert, but I'm sure the match will be worth the walk out. We have chosen a small oasis to give some variety to the battle, and the trainer who wants to win this battle had better be able to master all of the challenges that the terrain will throw his way. As a short run-down of the match:

    Galladiator will release his Pokemon.
danmantincan will release a Pokemon and give instructions.
    Galladiator will issue instructions.
    I will ref.

Thereafter, both players will go each turn, and the person who goes first will alternate. Good luck to all!!

    A Dragon-type...Okay Irwin, let's start strong!

Show that snake-thing your Dragon Dance. Next, Aqua Jet into the small pond when it tries to Wrap you, then run over and Ice Punch it!

And dan releases Dratini, the Dratini!

    Cool Nickname (open)

    *Dratini(F)
Nature: Mild (Adds * to Special Attack. Subtracts * from Defense.)

    Type: Dragon
Dragon:Dragon STAB; Roar has have Energy Cost reduced by one (1). (Dragonite line can breathe underwater.)

    Abilities:
Shed Skin: (Innate) This Pokemon regularly sheds its skin and any impurities contained in its body. If afflicted with a status condition, this Pokemon has a 33% chance of removing all status conditions at the end of a round.
Marvel Scale (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon’s coat shimmers when afflicted with a status condition, reducing the damage received from physical attacks by two (2).

    Attacks:

    *Slam
    *Agility

    *Dragon Dance
    *ExtremeSpeed
    *Dragon Pulse

    *Fire Blast
    *Dragon Tail
    *Ice Beam

And the Pokemon take their places. They look evenly matched in terms of speed, so at exactly the same time as Dratini lets off a Thunder Wave Irwin starts a mystical-looking Dragon Dance. He is so focused towards his dance that he does not notice the huge crack as the wave of thunder comes towards him, and so he is hit hard by it. Electricity curses around him, but he seems to have got enough off to have boosted both his attack and speed somewhat!

With his abilities enhanced, Irwin surrounds himself with water and tries to jettison himself into the pool. But no! The electricity arcing around is body from that last attack is completely paraylsing him, and he is helpless in the face of Dratini's attack! Dratini takes advantage of his inability to move and Wraps around him. He contracts around Totodile, partially strangling him. He continues to hold him for a while, preparing his next attack for a blow at point-blank range!

Finally, Dratini decided to use Dragon Pulse against Irwin, from right next to him, which causes a great explosion and knocks them both back and out of the Wrap attack.. They both get hit hard by the blast, although only Totodile takes any damage because it was aimed at him. Totodile gets up first and start running towards Dratini, and coats his whole arm in ice and delivers a devistating Ice Punch to the centre of Dratini's body. It does a huge amount of damage, but also does something to wake him up after the blast, and they both look like they are rearing to go in the second round, which will have clear and calm skies, luckily for the participants!

Ok, good job paralyzing Irwin last round, Dratini!

I want you to start this round by showing your wrath with a Dragon Rage! Then Wrap him up to prevent him from completing his Dragon Dance. I then want you to hit him with another point blank Dragon Pulse.

And so we begin the second round of the bout. Dratini has just been punched hard by a great Ice Punch from Totodile, and it looks ready for revenge. He unleashes a great Dragon Rage at Irwin, but as Irwin flies back he directs a huge volume of water from the oasis at Dratini in a Waterfall-like stream.

They are both knocked back by their opponent's attacks, but with great agility Dratini jumps forward and uses Wrap on Irwin, and while Irwin struggles and twists, he cannot execute a Dragon Dance however hard he tries, but tries he does until he realises that it is futile. He stops for a minute, and waits for Dratini to make his move.

Dratini again uses Dragon Pulse from point-blank range, and again it heavily damages Totodile. However, having now been released, Totodile takes the chance to again run up and deliver a devastating Ice Punch. The Pokemon now face each other across the makeshift arena, staring off before the next round.

Ok, Dratini, I want you to start this round with another Wrap to prevent him from doing another Dragon Dance. Then hit him with Dragon Rage and hit him again with a Dragon Pulse to separate yourself from him.
But if he uses Ice Punch, I want you to use Agility instead to evade his attack.

So finally the contestants look like they are really hitting their stride now. They know what works and they zip expertly around the field dodging each other's attacks. First Dratini goes for the Wrap, but Totodile goes quickly for the Ice Punch. Dratini realises just in time, and tries to dart out of the way with Agility, but does quite get completely out of the way, and gets about half of the attack struck to his side, causing him to be thrown off to the side, only about half of his speed-boosting dance done.

However, he quickly gets up after his fall and shoots a terrifying Dragon Rage towards Irwin, but Irwin coats his body in a veil of water and shoots over to some rocks for shelter using Aqua Jet, causing the attack to miss. However, the beam is directed around Irwin's path, following him around the arena until Irwin comes to some rocks, which he hides behind. The pulse destroys the rocks in a loud explosion, but at that moment Dratini runs out of steam and can't keep the attack up. The attack stops and Irwin looks out from behind the rocks, ready for Dratini's next action.

The contestants stop for a bit to gather there breath. They have been going at it hard, and it is beginning to take its toll. Suddenly, Dratini lets off a Dragon Pulse towards Irwin, but Irwin is ready and directs another torrent of water towards Dratini. Fortunatley for dan, Dratini had only just let off the pulse before a huge Waterfall hits Dratini from the side, coming from the lake. Both get blown off their feet as the attacks hit them. They now lie far away from each other across the battlefield, idling until the commands are issued to try to recover some energy in the time they have.

The Pokemon idle for a while while the trainers decide on what they should do for the round. Once they are done, however, Dratini and Irwin look very refreshed. Dratini jumps up, and readies a Dragon Pulse, while Totodile jettisons himself towards Dratini once again using the Aqua Jet attack. However, the pulse from Dratini knocks it back just far enough to stop it reaching it, although it has accomplished its main aim of closing the distance.

Now, Dratini unleashes its Dragon Rage attack on Totodile, doing damage but not phasing it, which means Totodile can direct another huge torrent of water from the oasis, which again hits Dratini straight on the side like a Waterfall. This knocks Dratini back a bit, but it still looks ready to attack straight away.

Finally, Dratini uses Dragon Pulse, taking advantage of Irwin's low speed thanks to the paralysis to try to finish off this bout quickly. He jumps up, and from up above delivers a huge blow to Irwin, which is the last straw for the little sea monster. He keels over, fainted, leaving Galladiator having to throw out another Pokemon. As well as this, and as paradoxical as it may seem, the sun has come out and is shining brightly, and will continue to do so for the next round. Dratini just looks on, relieved that this furious 1v1 which they have had for the last while is finished.

So with Irwin examining the sand on the side of the little arena, Galladiator sends out Electra the Eevee to continue the fight. She looks like she is bouncing with exightment at what is probably her first fight, but I'm sure she will give any of dan's Pokemon a run for their money. To begin, Dratini lets off another Thunder Wave, but as the crack resounds around the desert Electra quickly throws up a Sand Attack from the ground and it gets in the way of the wave of thunder. There is a small explosion as they connect, which blows the sand everywhere, but it results in nothing being done to either Pokemon.

Next, Dratini lets off a large Fire Blast at Electra, but Electra uses Double Team in responce. She seems to come apart into several bodies, and Dratini looks confused. He keeps firing blasts around, nearly hitting people and obstacles alike, but Electra's Double Team attack keeps her one step ahead, resulting in the Fire Blast missing as well. Electra seems to be trying to just wear out Dratini, and it looks like it is working too. As fast as she moves, Dratini is using up precious energy trying to get to here.

Finally, Dratini lets out a Dragon Pulse. This time, unable to dodge an omnidirectional pulse, Electra stands strong and delivers a strong Shadow Ball attack, and both Pokemon take their first and last hits for the round. Electra now stands tall, waiting for the order to finish off a battered and bruised Dratini.

Galladiator gives the order, and Electra springs forward in a very Quick Attack to try to finish off Dratini. It makes contact almost faster than the eye can follow, and Dratini is knocked back several paces (yeah it has no legs. meh). It teeters for a moment, but eventually props itself up and lets off a Thunder Wave towards Electra. It finally catches up with her, and she is stunned briefly as she is paralysed all over.

With this paralysis, Dratini has just enough time to let off a final Dragon Pulse with all of its energy. It look completely out of it, but the hurt Electra gets pounded by the dragon pulse, before it goes to finish off Dratini with Shadow Ball. But Oh, no! It looks so crippled by the electricity that it can't move at all, and it is stuck where it is, not moving.

Unfortunately for Dratini, he cannot make use of the sitting duck that Electra now is because he has no energy left. He sits (yeah, no legs) in the sand and chills, trying to gather enough energy for a final few frantic attacks if it gets the chance, hoping that Electra will still be unable to move. But Electra manages to overcome to paralysis and uses Quick Attack to finish off the little serpent, leaving Dratini face down in the sand, and the score tied at 2-2.

dan, you send out a Pokemon now.

EDIT: Yes, it most definitely should have done. Here you go:
Suddenly, the ref notices that Electra seems to have dodged the Dragon Pulse. Unfornately, this dodge was not authorised by the ref, so he throws a Homing Thunderbolt of Moderate Physical Harm at Electra, which hits her between the eyes and does exactly as much damage as Dratini's Dragon Pulse would have. The score thus settled, dan may send out a Pokemon.

If you knock out a Pokemon, your opponent sends out their new Poke and you issue commands.

I'll edit my commands into this post

Ok, Scar, use Odor Sleuth so any attempts to evade your attacks are useless, then Roar to negate the boosts from Work Up, then hit Eevee with a Fire Blast. If it is FPed on the Work Up, use Flame Wheel insteadof Roar.
