Galladiator vs. danmantincan - Won 2-0 by danmantincan!

    So out comes Scar, bouncing out of its Pokeball ready for action. It starts off by using the Odour Sleuth technique to get a scent of Electra and stop any attampts at evasion from her. On the other side of the field, Electra is using the Work Up technique to boost her Attack and Special Attack in preparation for another bout.

    Next, Scar calmly Roars at Electra, who is unfortunately so scared that she loses the boosts that she gained last round. He skittles around abit looking distracted, but eventually pulls herself together enough to try to throw some sand into the eyes of Scar in a Sand Attack, but it is such a feeble attack that it doesn't do much. Scar doesn't look worried at all, because he can still smell Electra so well that he wouldn't be able to lose her anywhere.

    To finish, they both take aim and let off a huge attack: Fire Blast from Scar and Shadow Ball from Electra. They both let them off and the shadows pass straight through the burning fire, and both Pokemon get hit simultaneously by their opponent's attack. They both sustain a lot of damage, but Electra is definitely coming of worse, and Scar seems to have the upper hand at the moment: it will be interesting to see what the next round will bring!

    Ok Scar, start off with a Bite, then hit Electra with another Fire Blast followed by Flame Wheel

    This will be a bit difficult, Electra, but we can't give up!

    When Scar tries to Bite you, Tickle it to distract it! Then, use Double Team to create a clone of yourself and dodge the Fire Blast, then smack Scar with a Shadow Ball!

    So to begin the next round, Scar moves up and maneovres itself up to Bite Electra. However, Electra nimbly sidesteps the attack and and Tickles Scar on the way past, and it is so distracted by it that it can't turn around and charge. It wheels round, and momentarily forgets what it is doing. And so, rather anti-climactically, it stops and sits there for a bit, ending the first round.​

    Then, Scar starts functioning again and launches a huge Fire Blast, and it moves rapidly towards Electra. The blast moves forward at it, and eventually gets up close to it and ... it explodes into it, hard. Suddenly, everyone notices a copy of Electra over near the side of the arena, and it turns out that it used Double Team as Scar was confused before to create a decoy, but Scar's Odour Sleuth from last round enabled it to get the right one anyway!​

    Finally, they both stop moving and begin to let off powerful special attacks. Electra lets off a huge Shadow Ball, and at exactly the same time Scar lets off a huge Flame Wheel. The shadows of the ball again pass through the fire, and both Pokemon are hit by their oppontent's attacks.​

    Odor Sleuth was still in affect last round, so Scar should have been able to smell which clone was the real Electra (for Fire Blast).

    Assuming it's okay to post...

    All right Electra, since Odor Sleuth seems to be trolling us, Shadow Ball it, then use Quick Attack. Finish with another Shadow Ball. If Growlithe tries to Bite you or hit you with Flame Wheel, dodge it and replace your next action with Tickle.

    Ok Scar let's finish this!

    Hit Electra with a Flare Blitz followed by a Close Combat and if it is still alive, finish it with a Nitro Charge. If CC KOs it, just chill.

    So to begin this round, it looks like the standard line-up we have seen all match: Electra is gathering up shadows together from all over the field into a Shadow Ball, and huge volumes of flames seem to be gathering around Scar. However, Scar suddenly coats himself with these fires and dashes in a Flare Blitz at Eevee. Eevee, however, like every one else, thought he was going to use Fire Blast again, but just manages to direct the ball of shadows at Scar before the flaming dog rams into her.

    Then, Electra, on its last legs, jumps out and uses Quick Attack against Scar, but while it is up there Scar uses Close Combat, practically beating Electra into a fine mist.

    Electra, however, just manages to hold itself together, until finally Scar disperses what is left with a Nitro Charge, boosting its speed in the process. Electra is called back to its Pokeball for some much-needed rest, and it is up to Galladiator to call out a new Pokemon.

    Also, you may be interested to know that the round ends when someone is KO'd, so you do not get a chance to Chill afterward.

    Let's go all out offensive this round, with a Bite, Nitro Charge and finish with another Bite.

    Okay Roman, show this guy what you can do!

    Use Confuse Ray when it comes up to Bite you, then Teleport away quickly! Finish the round with a Psychic attack!

    Galladiator is down to his last Pokemon, and as his final hope for the battle, he chooses Roman, the Ralts. Scar comes up to Bite it immediately, but Roman tries to confuse it with Confuse Ray. However, Scar is still moving very quickly and gets in to attack Roman before he can get the ray off. It bites it hard, and Roman just keeps presence of mind enough to let off the confuse ray. Scar is so close after the bite that it hits hard, and Scar looks to be intensely confused going into the next action.

    Next, Scar uses its superior speed to summon up flames and charge towards Roman using the Nitro Charge technique. However, just as it gets near, falls over because of the confusion and hits itself instead! It is knocked to the ground, and Roman takes the opportunity to get ready to Teleport away from Scar.

    Scar gets up again, and lunges after Roman, ready to bite it again. It gets up close, and this time devoid of any confusion, jumps up ready to Bite when Roman uses the teleport from before to teleport back a few metres and use Psychic on the little dog. Thus, the bite does not connect and Scar gets blasted by a mental attack from Roman, knocking it back and taking advantage of the drop in defensive prowess from Close Combat that it was just about to shake off.

    You can't just say the two of your attacks happen before a Pokemon which is faster than you acts. I took Teleport and Psychic to be a combination attack, although it would be nice if you could specify.

    Well done, Roman! Now hit with a Return, followed by a Psychic attack! Follow up with another Return! If Scar tries to Bite you, replace your next action with Teleport!

    So after a bit of confusion about commands last round, everyone is ready and rearing to go with a simple tit-for-tat brawl this round. It begins with Scar's Odour Sleuth technique again, and it closes its eyes and slows down, concentrating just on the scent of the little Psychic thingummywhat. It catches and memorises the scent, and while it does this, Roman attacks in a frenzied Return attack, because after its meditations while Scar was sitting still it summoned up all of the kindness that it feels it should return from its trainer, Galladiator.

    Then, still following its nose, Scar bounds up and tries to Bite Roman. Roman, using the reflexes born only of hearing Scar's instructions in advance, Teleports around to the other side of Scar in an attempt to confuse it and dodge the attack, but Scar follows Roman's scent and whips around immediately, delivering a huge bite to Roman and causing it to fall back out of the controlled movements it was exhibiting before.

    Scar takes advantage of the momentary break in concentration of Roman to use the Nitro Charge attack again and boost his speed. As he gathers up the flames and jumps towards Roman again, however, Roman is brought back by his previous time spent thinking about his belloved trainer Galladiator and struggles up and uses the Return attack once more, colliding in mid-air with Scar and causing them both to be knocked back by their opponent's attacks. This signals the end of the round, and as both the Pokemon lie panting after another frenzied round, the pressure is on and Scar puts up a very good match against the last of Galladiator's Pokemon, Roman!

    We left off the last round with danmantincan's Scar on his last legs, but taking down a bit of Galladiator's Roman while he fell. Now, Scar still looks quite tired, and is really getting to the edge of his energies for today. He now tries just to get as much damage as he can on Roman, and he begins with another Bite attack. Roman is knocked back, but by thinking about Galladiator a bit more (there is a point where it gets a bit weird, but apparently this isn't it) he raises himself up into a Return frenzy. He bashes into Scar, knocking him back, but still leaving him with enough energy to come up for more.

    However, Scar decides, on orders from danmantincan, not to attack this round but to chill instead, and with its increased speed it manages this before Roman can get in another Return.

    Finally, in a repeat of the first round, Scar uses the Bite attack on Roman and Roman returns with a Return against Scar, leaving him with only a fraction of conciousness going into next round, but also leaving Roman under strain thanks to the heavy beating taken under the onslaught of Scar's final blows.

    I should say that I ran the only RNG that mattered already. I'll make it short and painless. I'm sorry, Galladiator...

    And so we come back to the match to find danmantincan's Growlithe, Scar, on its last legs against Galladiator's Ralts, Roman. To start, Scar goes in for a Bite against Roman, who is knocked back by the force of the shot. But Oh, no! After all of this time,Roman is finally flinching due to the force of the repeated bites, leaving Scar just enough time for another attack!

    Scar uses this time in a huge rush. Roman is now nigh-unconscious, and has no chance of dodging Scar's final Bite attack. Thus, despite a valiant effort, Roman finally is forced to give up on the battle and passes out on the side. This leaves Galladiator out of Pokemon, and so danmantincan wins! Good battle everyone, and well played. I'll post the rewards below.

    GG dan, that was a great first battle (even though that bit with the flinching at the end was a bit cheap). Oh, and thanks for reffing this Atheno.
