TEAM MOWTOM:

Weavile [Trickster] (F)

Trickster is very sneaky. She first encountered Mowtom when she stole all of his items, even though she didn't have Pickpocket unlocked. Mowtom sent Harley, another practical joker, to find the thief and bring back the items. Trickster and Harley formed an immediate bond. So they could stay friends, Trickster joined Mowtom on his journey and gave back his items.

Type: Dark / Ice
  • Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.
  • Ice STAB; immune to Hail damage, freeze status, and Sheer Cold. Frost Command.
    • Frost Command: For the next six (6) actions, this Pokemon's Ice moves will have triple the freeze chance. Type Exclusive commands can only be used by Pokemon that are naturally that type, and are still available if the Pokemon changes type.
      Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
Abilities: Pressure / Pickpocket (Unlocked)
  • This Pokemon's presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at this Pokemon costs the opposing Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.
  • This Pokemon's mischievous nature and greed make it very effective at pawning off an opponents item. If this Pokemon has no item and either it or the opposing Pokemon strikes with a contact attack, their item is stolen and becomes the held item of this Pokemon.
    • Command: Activate Pickpocket (ally) - 5 En - Trade items with target ally.

Necturna [Groot] (F)

Groot is Groot. Everyone knows this. Or rather, everyone knows that Groot wants to be Groot. Unfortunately for her, she is both the wrong gender and the wrong species. This...hasn't stopped Groot from screaming her name loudly. For all to hear. All the time. ALL. THE. TIME. *eye twitch*

Type: Grass / Ghost
  • Grass STAB; immunity to Leech Seed, Worry Seed, and all "Powder" based attacks (Poisonpowder, Powder, Rage Powder, Sleep Powder, Spore, Stun Spore). Unable to have Petal Dance disrupted by oncoming damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Grass attacks requiring an external grass source. Bloom Command.
    • Bloom Command: For the next six (6) actions, this Pokemon's "Grass," "Powder," and "Seed" status-moves will have fifteen (15) added points to their Base Accuracy (e.g. Grass Whistle goes from 55 Base Acc to 70 Base Acc). Type Exclusive commands can only be used by Pokemon that are naturally that type, and are still available if the Pokemon changes type.
      Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
  • Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.
Abilities: Forewarn / Telepathy (Unlocked)
  • This Pokemon is more adept than usual at sensing and reacting to the opponent's attacks. As a result, it gets a bonus move substitution that must have a condition in the format "If Pokemon X uses move Y", with no further qualifiers or additional clauses allowed. This bonus substitution may go anywhere in the list of substitutions the Pokemon makes, but it must be indicated with "Bonus" or "Bonus Sub" or something similar in front of the bonus substitution.
  • This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponent's spread damage attacks.

Honchkrow [Blackwing] (M)

One of Blackwing's ancestors lived in a world very different from this one. A world where everything was decided by a die roll, and humans could become as powerful as any other species, even using magic themselves. Blackwing doesn't know this, though; his attention wandered to the nearest shiny object each time it was explained to him.

Type: Dark / Flying
  • Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.
  • Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes. when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.
Abilities: Insomnia / Super Luck / Moxie (Unlocked)
  • This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Insomnia also has Vital Spirit, its Attack and BRT are increased by one (1) Rank and its accuracy is raised by one (1) stage permanently.
  • This Pokemon's natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 50% of the time.
  • This Pokemon gets psyched after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its Attack (and adjust the natural stage) by one (1) stage.

What is this? A rematch between ASB veteran and itinerant Raid Leader Zarator, and his prior conquest Mowtom. His last match came down to the absolute wire, so it would seem Mowtom has returned in hopes of seeing the coin land on the other face, this toss?

Returning to the stage is Trickster, the Weavile, sporting three additional moves and a new set of teammates. Mowtom has chosen to bring only the moves that matter, it would seem. Maybe he trained this team for this very match? Backed by Rage Candy Bar and the ability to relieve any opponent of their item forcibly via STAB super-effective Knock Off, Trickster is not a Pokemon to be ignored.

In turn, Zarator has dispensed with the durdling Grumbar and other unconventional choices, bringing a pure A-team of the Ghost typing to bear. Notably, outside of the Ghost-type itself, no single type hits Zarator's entire team super-effectively. Ibrandul the Sableye is a standout among the lineup, boasting an expansive move list and a complete suite of match-controlling support moves. Notably, Ibrandul can comfortably take on anything in Mowtom's lineup, and can even confound Necturna's bonus substitution. We're not going to see a Water-type Sableye today, folks!

At any rate, this is sure to be a tense match that brings the best out of both battlers. Let the show begin!

Arena: The Forlorn Graveyard
Restrictions: None

People have stopped burying people in this abandoned graveyard for centuries, but there is still an eerie aura all over the place. The grass looks more grey than green (despite this not affecting Grass-type moves at all), and most Pokemon and people avoid the place instinctively. Some trainers however still visit this place to strengthen the link with their Pokemon, especially Ghost-type ones. A still lake formed in a fissure in the ground, however the dark water makes it impossible to see what lies in its depths

The odd aura of this graveyard has several effects in battle:
  • Focus Blast has 100% accuracy, and the base power of Aura Sphere and Hidden Power is raised by (2). It is very easy to focus one's soul in this place.
  • Will-O-Wisp has 100% accuracy. There are always wisps floating around to provide decent enough fodder for this wicked spell.
  • Pain Split has its base energy cost reduced by (2), and all draining attacks are empowered as if the Pokemon were holding Big Root, but without incurring the extra energy cost (this effect doesn't stack with Big Root itself). Life energies are easier to drain and consume in this place.
  • All Pokemon's max HP are reduced to 90. The aura of sorrow which permeates this place withers the strength and the resolve of all the Pokemon battling in its surroundings - even Ghost-types.
  • There are some leftover scrap parts, scattered around the arena. Rotom can tap into them, raising its Special Attack and Special Defense by 1 rank as long as it stays in its original form (without any appliance).

Wow you guys are very patient... or very forgetful
Error Fixing:
- Applied the WP bonus to Thunderbolt, which means Honchkrow has 2 less energy.
- Honchkrow gets STAB EN reduction on Payback, giving it back 1 energy. (new EN total: 68)
- Dusk Stone on Honchkrow also boosts Atk by 1 rank, so it has R6 Atk.
- Even after that, the Payback used the previous round should only do 29.25 DMG [Extended Calc: (10+3+2+4.5)*1.5 = 29.25], so Rotom is now at 61 HP
Sheesh, you guys should be more thorough in checking over the work of your ref.

Going forwards with the reffing because nothing mentioned has an effect on the current matchup.
