Banryu's team:

Charmeleon (*) Aether (m)
Nature: Rash
Personality: Evolution created a drastic upshift in his personality, changing him from a rash and impetuous youngster a to headstrong and aggressive adolescent. Very proud of his newfound power, he now has battle constantly on the brain, always looking to pick a fight, and constantly training in the meantime. His battle style reflects his attitude: extremely aggressive, and he is reasonably skilled at ranged and close combat alike.

Very reckless and impetuous, eager to charge into battle and quick to attack with nothing held back. His mental defenses are a little weak as a result, but his passion for the thrill of battle and enthusiasm to earn his trainer's approval are unmatched. In battle he is aggressive and unrelenting, and has only gotten more so since evolving. He seeks to put opponents on the defensive with his aggressive tactics and varied attack styles and techniques.

Type: Fire
Fire: Fire STAB; immune to burn, 50% reduction in freeze chance, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Solarbeam has Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Vibrava (*) Myrmeleon (m)
Nature: Hardy
Personality: The change in life cycle drastically altered his behavior. Whereas before Myrmeleon was laid-back and always hungry, as a Vibrava he is very active, moving almost constantly, and is now very alert to sounds. His underlying personality, however, remains mostly the same-- he remains a staunch competitor due to his unfailing grit and perseverance in tough situations. In battle, he has developed separate fighting styles: one reminiscent of his days as a Trapinch, where he would huddle underground and strike with powerful Ground attacks, and one above-ground, where his new wings give him much higher mobility as well as access to sonic attacks. He is still developing his ability to fly, as well as his affinity for moves of his newfound Dragon typing.

Personality: Quite strong-willed, and very tenacious for a Pokemon that is otherwise quite weak. The nature of her shabby appearance and equally bland fighting style cause her to be a little self-conscious, and she thus feels the need to work that much harder to impress her opponents as well as her own trainer. Being a fish Pokemon, she is entirely aquatic, and does her best to play a strong defensive game utilizing her high underwater mobility.

Type: Water
Water: Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious. Splash and Ice Moves have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Archen [Dromaeus] (f)
Nature: Naive
Personality: Thoroughly cunning and crafty, Dromaeus is a focused and serious hunter. Due to the fact that she was revived from a fossil, she is inexperienced with the modern world, and often makes mistakes because of it. Nonetheless she is quite intelligent for a prehistoric Pokemon, and learns quickly. She is the fastest of the team, and her tactics are largely hit-and-run-- dive in to attack, then dart away before the opponent can counterattack. Her dazzling speed and combination of evasive and powerful attacking moves make her a severe threat in battle, and she cares for little else except to fight.

Type: Rock/Flying

Sorry Banryu, but the turn order goes as follows:
Banryu issues actions
GK
ref
GK
Banryu
ref
etc.

gl to you both and your pokemon, and remember it's only two actions per Pokemon. All of your pokemon are out, so that's a total of twelve actions each!

Crew's all here.

Solar Power / Levitate / Marvel Scale / Sturdy / Defeatist / Color Change

(Normally I do the whole long typed out and dialogue stuff, but I think everyone will appreciate it if I condense LOL.)

Aether, Myrmelon, and Dromaeus arrange themselves in spearhead attack formation, with Aether the Charmeleon at the front; Phoebus and Toronero are hovering in the center behind their little formation, and Espio will lurk further behind/between Phoebus and Toronero, using them as cover/shields to absorb any blows aimed at him.

Round 1: (in order from fastest to slowest 'cause I'm helpful)
- Archen uses Taunt on Shroomish, then retreats behind Milotic and Shieldon, allowing one of them to take any attacks aimed at it
- Milotic uses Confuse Ray on Dragonite
- Charmeleon changes the weather to Sunny Day
- Vibrava attacks Axew with Draco Meteor (if targeted by 2 or more supereffective attacks, switch action to Protect)
- Shieldon very lightly attacks Espio with a weak Tackle if it has been hit with a Dragon-type attack, or sets up a row of Stealth Rocks in between the two teams, pointing at GK's team if Kecleon has NOT been hit by a dragon-type move.
- Kecleon (hiding behind Shieldon for cover up until this point, and purposely opting to go last) uses Skill Swap on Dragonite
NOTE: If I'm not allowed to screw with their speed then simply disregard the Tackle section on Shieldon's orders.

Round 2:
- Milotic Scalds Dragonite, attempting to take advantage of the hot weather to inflict a more painful burn across its arms/midsection area
- Archen attacks Shroomish with Acrobatics
- Charmeleon attacks Shroomish with Flamethrower
- Vibrava uses Supersonic on Axew (or Draco Meteor if last turn was Protect)
- Kecleon Screeches at Deino
- Shieldon attacks Shroomish with Flamethrower (if Shroomish is KO'd by this point, he uses Ice Beam on Dragonite instead)

Weeelllllll here we go! Archen Taunts Shroomish, and makes it too angry to use its nasty powder attacks! Milotic sends a Confuse Ray towards Dragonite, giving it headaches. Too bad it doesn't effect it this round as it ThunderPunches Archen dealing massive damage while GK's Milotic smashes Vibrava with an Ice Beam. Charmeleon summons strong sunlight to boost future fire attacks, while Vibrava sends a giant storm of meteors to collide with poor little Axew, who responds by sending a Scary Face over to Archen. Porygon2 has Downloaded some extra data to hit Archen with a Thunderbolt, scaring it into a Defeatist state. After Deino Dragon Pulses at Kecleon, he waits to move until little Shieldon give him a love tap and turns his type back to normal before he Skill Swaps Dragonite.

Milotic sends some Scalding hot water from the sun towards Dnite and it hurts but doesn't quite burn him. GK's milotic retaliates but misses a Hydro Pump aimlessly sent out. Dragonite again overcomes his confusion to Fire Punch shieldon with a sun boost. Vibrava sends some waves into the middle of nowhere it seems. Porygon2 Tri Attacks Charmeleon and hits it dead on, burning it except for the fact that fire types can't be burned... Axew seeks revenge on Vibrava and Dual Chops it which hurts it quite a bit. Dieno hustles over and Crunches Charmeleon for a boatload of damage, but not nearly as much as whats about to fly down on Shroomish between some Acrobatics and Flamethrowers. It does summon enough energy to Drain Punch Shieldon and gain some health back though.

ok soooooooooooo

P2: use Tri Attack on Charmeleon and follow up with a Thunderbolt on Archen

Milo: use Ice Beam on Vibrava twice [if Vibrava uses protect or is under 30 hp (same thing here unless it misses?), switch whichever ice beam with a hydro pump on charmeleon]

Deino: use Dragon Pulse on Vibrava twice (if vibrava faints before the second action, use crunch on charmeleon)

Axew: use Dual Chop on Kecleon and follow up with a Reversal on Shieldon

Shroomish: use Drain Punch on Shieldon and try to survive. If you live until this point, use Seed Bomb on his Milotic while jumping for joy (your taunt ends after this too!)

Dnite: well, you're a water-type for now, so use Waterfall on Shieldon and Thunderpunch on his Milotic

(Bleh, Week-kneed.
Where in blazes did my Kecleon's Screech disappear to? Deino should be at -2 Defense unless that move missed pl0x. Also Dnite should still be confused for a while unless confusion wears off much quicker than I thought and also I think GK's Pory2 needs Download boosts and Vibrava needs SpAtk drops. Gawd, man, sloppy reffing.)

Round 3:
- Kecleon Shadow Sneaks up on Dragonite and slaps him upside de face with his shadow
- Archen uses Scary Face on ev'rybody on GK's side (or Milotic)
- Milotic attacks Axew with Ice Beam
- Charmeleon attacks Shroomish with Flame Burst and hits other peoples with the bursted embers
- Vibrava burrows underground to avoid any attacks thrown at him and waits to strike. (yay loopholes)
- Shieldon Protects himself from all attacks aimed at him

Round 4:
- Archen makes an even Scarier Face at everybody (or just Dragonite)
- Milotic valiantly hurls herself in front of the Thunderbolt aimed at Archen and Mirror Coats it back; if this doesn't work, just Scald Axew instead (heat from sunlight might translate to higher chance of burn hint hint hint)
- Charmeleon attacks Shroomish with Flamethrower (if Shroomish is KO'd, instead attack Deino with Dragon Pulse)
- Vibrava stays underground like a wuss, attempting to target Axew with Earth Power via underground vibrations
- Kecleon gives Dragonite a nasty Licking
- Shieldon Counters Axew's Reversal

Just for the record, all of those things are calced in. I just forgot them in that last part. Reffing will be tomorrow.

This match will continue to the finish and we will get the counters. It is the last street brawl.

reffing will be edited in soon.

Kecleon begins by quickly tiptoeing over to Dragonite to hit it with a Shadow Sneak, turning it to a Ghost-type. Archen follows by giving Milotic a big scary face, slowing it down considerably. Banryu’s Milotic keeps the momentum going with a massive Ice Beam that smacks Axew onto its rear end! Team GK tries to regain some footing with Porygon2 sending a Tri-Attack towards Charmeleon, pushing it back a bit. Dragonite goes to smack Shieldon with a Waterfall, but lo and behold! It protects itself from the blow. Vibrava senses danger and quickly throws itself deep into the ground, easily dodging GK’s slower Milotic’s now-stray Ice Beam. Axew Dual Chops on Charmeleon while Dieno sends a Dragon Pulse where Vibrava just was, but to no avail. Charmeleon uses a Flame Burst on Shroomish which hits the nearby Deino and Shieldon except that the Shieldon protects itself again! Shroomish again tries to go for the defensively-aware Shieldon but fails to do damage.

Archen seems to like trying out its Scary Faces, and directs one over towards Dragonite who scowls back, but is still deterred. Milotic conjures some boiling water to try and Scald the Axew, but again it fails to burn. Vibrava stays underground to try and keep itself ready for the next round. Porygon sees all of his teammates glaring back at Archen and decides to blast it with a Thunderbolt, while Axew uses the damage he’s taken to send a Reversal at an oddly-glowing Shieldon. While the attack does respectable damage, Axew seems to come out of the situation worse for the wear. Charmeleon engulfs Shroomish in flames, leaving it unconscious. GK’s Milotic again sends an Ice Beam at a seemingly non-existant Vibrava, while the slowed Dragonite Thunderpunches the opposing Milotic. Deino looks around for a Vibrava but can’t find one, so he hustles over to Charmeleon to Crunch it. Kecleon finishes by Licking Dragonite for super effective damage.

oh dear, this might suck

Dragonite: We can't let archen get that endeavor off, so we'll have to combine Extremespeed with ThunderPunch in order to knock him out before he can do so while getting around the speed drop!

Milo: We have to get rid of that Charmeleon, so we'll use Hydro Pump twice against it. If Charmeleon is knocked out before the second hydro pump, attack Shieldon with it

Porygon2: Use tbolt on milo and follow up with a magic coat

Deino: Use Earth Power on Charmeleon and follow that up with a Thunder Fang on Milotic

Axew: You won't get to make an action, but try to Dig out Vibrava and use Reversal on Shieldon

Note to Rolf: the Metal Burst comment on Shieldon's last order was a typo on my part, just disregard that. Also, do we get notification of how long / how much longer things like status and weather will last? :o

The frenzy continues with Dragonite quickly spurting with a burst of energy towards Archen, smacking it with a ThunderPunch but leaving itself vulnerable to a fury of attacks. Banryu's Milotic and Charmeleon target Axew with an Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse, knocking it clean out. Vibrava keeps hiding in the dirt, unable to be hit but unable to attack itself, saving its services for later. Meanwhile, Porygon2 decides to smack Milotic with a Thunderbolt. Charmeleon gets ganked by a couple of super effective moves: Hydro Pump and Earth Power from Milotic and Dieno, respectively. The slowpokes decide to finish strong - Kecleon uses a Rock Smash that's hard enough to put a dent in Dieno, while Shieldon sends a Flash Cannon at Dragonite, changing it to a Steel-type.

Banryu's Milotic traced the electric bolt back to Porygon2 and decides to try and put it out of action with a Confuse Ray, but the Porygon is ready with a Magic Coat to reflect the status right back. This confuses Milotic so much that he becomes confused for the next two actions! The rest of Banryu's team, though, seems to be focused on Dragonite. A string of super effective moves tear through the giant dragon, starting with Charmeleon's Flamethrower, then to Vibrava's emergence from its Dig, then Shieldon sending an Ice Beam to end the rampage. GK's Milotic decides enough is enough of Charmeleon and finally puts it down, while Deino softens up Milotic a bit with a Thunder Fang.

The sun will beat strongly for the next two rounds.

((Rolf, I just got confirmation from SDS on IRC that using Earth Power while underground is a legit move, if you don't mind editing that in. You get to apply whatever penalty you want to it, though, it's your discretion hahaha~

Oh also, I believe Dragonite is currently Ice-typed, you forgot to change that one. No big deal though.

Sorry to hear about the teeth, I had that happen recently also. Thanks for toughing it out and reffing for us while you're high on pain meds or whatever.

@ GK: Yeah I know. :x Even if he decides to allow it it's pretty much negligible damage anyway I guess.))

Milo: go ahead and use Ice Beam on Vibrava twice, if it uses dig ever, target Sheildon with Hydro Pump

P2: go ahead and use Thunderbolt followed up with a Tri Attack on his Milotic

Dnite: use Waterfall on that Sheildon as much as you can

Deino: use Thunder Wave on Kecleon and follow up with a Crunch aimed at Vibrava if it's above ground, if not, go ahead and hit Kecleon

about the dig thing, I saw the little discussion thing on IRC which is cool and all, but the final call is up to rolf even if the Dojo is cool with it :x

[23:17] <%DarkSlay> It still has to go through Rolf, but you at least have the Dojo's approval.

Aether, noooo! ;A; Who will abuse the remaining sunlight nao?!

Round 7:
- Vibrava Quick-Attacks Deino's face to block the T-Wave aimed at Kecleon
- Milotic uses Mirror Coat to reflect Pory2's Tbolt back
- Kecleon unleashes a Claw-sharpened, STAB-boosted set of Fury Swipes on Dragonite
- Shieldon uses Metal Burst to reflect all absorbed damage back at GK's Dragonite (if not KO'd) or Milotic (if DNite is KO'd)

Round 8:
- Milotic uses Recover or (if recovery is banned in this match and I forget if it is) Mirror Coat again
- Vibrava Protects himself against all attacks
- Kecleon uses Rock Smash on Dragonite (if not KO'd) or Deino (if Dnite gets KO'd)
- Shieldon uses Metal Sound on Porygon2

As Pokemon start falling, the intensity rises. GK's Milotic seems to be back up to speed and fires an Ice Beam at Vibrava that smashes it for heavy damage. Dragonite follows with a Waterfall that hits Shieldon super effectively. Porygon2 completes the rampage with a Thunderbolt aimed at Milotic that strikes home. Banryu's Milotic tries to bounce it back with a Mirror Coat, but ends up flailing in confusion. Dieno tries to send a Thunder Wave, but Vibrava Quick Attacks directly onto its face to block its advance with its body. Kecleon finishes off an exhausted Dragonite with a barrage of five Fury Swipes, while Shieldon has created an orb of all the damage done to it which it sends flying to Milotic.

Vibrava deftly sets up a barrier in front of it that Protects itself from future attacks, such as the second Ice Beam that comes flying towards it. Porygon2 Tri-Attacks and again hits Milotic true, but this time Milotic's Mirror Coat goes up and bounces damage back to its owner. Deino is blocked the barrier erected by Vibrava - its Crunch hit it hard succeeding in draining energy, but it protects it from Kecleon's attempted Rock Smash! Shieldon makes a terrible screeching sound thats waves target Porygon2, sharply lowering its mental defensive capabilities.

- my Milotic rushes and Wraps GK's Milotic, attempting to block any Ice attacks aimed at Vibrava (also ensuring that any Electric attacks aimed at her will also be felt by GK's Milotic, bwahahahahaha)
- Vibrava hides behind Milotic (mine) and attacks Porygon2 with Draco Meteor
- Kecleon attacks Deino with Rock Smash (again)
- Shieldon attacks Porygon2 with Flash Cannon

Round 10:
- Milotic Recovers some HP if able to do so (if Wrap is interrupted, that's fine)
BUT if recovery is banned, (I forget if it is) Milotic uses Ice Beam on Deino instead
- Vibrava (if still not KO'd at this point) attacks Deino with Bug Bite
- Kecleon uses Fury Swipes on Deino -OR- instead Snatches any Recovery by Porygon2, if attempted
- Shieldon uses Flash Cannon on Porygon2

weird shit

Milo: Let's go ahead and use Splash to avoid the Wrap of the enemy Milotic in one way or another. After that we'll use Ice Beam on Vibrava, since i guess we'll still be able to look around a bit

P2: Let's just use Thunderbolt on his Shieldon to get it into Deino's ko range and follow that up with a Tri Attack on Vibrava. iirc the ice beam milo is using is gonna leave vibrava at like 4 hp, so if that kills it off, hit kecleon

Deino: Let's use Earth Power on the Shieldon twice, it should go down after the first. If it gets knocked out, go ahead and use Crunch on his Milo.

Recovery is banned, js
so i've got another battle slot open and am gonna steal an arena/battle type again

Battle Type: 6 v 6 mini brawl (with two actions per pokemon)
DQ: 1 day for battler, 3 for refs
Moves etc: NO Recoveries/Chills
Arena: Tropical Island- Sandy beach, ocean, palm trees

The two Milotics stare each other down with an intensity unrivaled. Azul all of a sudden flops and splashes enormously high and randomly, causing Phoebus to completely whif her attempts to keep track of the flailing Milotic. Vibrava doesn't mind, and sends a massive meteor down to hit Porygon2, who responds with a Thunderbolt right at Shieldon. Deino combos into an Earth Power that leaves Shieldon staggering, then falling unable to move. Kecleon sees the Deino's life-taking blow and responds by Rock Smashing it.

By the time Azul has calmed down, Pheobus has sent an Ice Beam at Deino. Azul responds by attacking Banryu's dragon with an Ice Beam of her own, while Porygon2 finishes Vibrava off with a Tri-Attack. Deino, even with its small size, hustles to Pheobus and Crunches its skin. Kecleon seems to have had enough of this carnage and stems its fury into Fury Swipes, hitting Deino 3 times!

always nice to see a plan go well

Milo: Let's hit Kecleon with back to back Hydro Pumps
P2: Hit Kecleon with back to back Tri Attacks. If Deino is knocked out, use Thunderbolt on his Milo
Deino: Hit his Milo with back to back Crunches, hopefully you can get a ko counter :3

o___o ....yeah, okay. Letting myself get cocky because of a numbers advantage was pretty stupid. =___=

Milotic: Finish off Deino with an Ice Beam, then blast Pory2 with Confuse Ray
Kecleon: Skill Swap your Multiscale for Milotic's Marvel Scale, then hit her with Thunder Wave

Let's see if we can stabilize the situation.

Pheobus makes a quick move to avenge for earlier actions and knocks out Deino with an Ice Beam, but Azul retaliates just as fast with a Hydro Pump at Kecleon that lands in a devastating critical hit. Porygon2 follows Azul with a Tri-Attack on Kecleon, while Kecleon strangely is able to switch abilities with Azul, gaining one kind of scale while losing another. As the battle comes down to fewer Pokemon, the intensity reversely correlates. Azul fires another Hydro Pump that lands on the money while Pheobus slighly confuses Porygon2 with a confusing ray before it can attack. It's programming seems to pop and it hits itself while Kecleon sends a jolt of electricity at Azul - enough to paralyze it greatly!
