lets use an arena i made way back when

Glacier Knight's Icy Arena:

Field Type- Ice/Water
Complexity- Moderate
Format- All
Restrictions- No digging, No weather

Glacier Knight’s Icy Arena: The large arena is three hundred feet long and wide, square shaped, and perfect for pokemon of the chilled variety. The first five feet of the north and south sides aren’t covered in ice, but the rest of the arena is. Twenty feet from the east and west sides of the arena and in middle are two large glaciers (One hundred feet long, twenty feet wide, both have increasing slopes of 80 degrees and are fifty feet tall. They have plateaus, peaks, and spikes). Cutting through the east and west side of the arena (Also going under the two glaciers) there is a large stream, fifteen feet wide. In the center it makes a large circle of icy water, and in the center rests a large ice floe making a small arena (it is twenty five feet long and wide). Also in the stream there are small and medium sized ice floes, enabling pokemon to cross the freezing cold water (water is 36 degrees Fahrenheit). Scattered around the arena are small rocks stuck to the icy floor, and they can be used to stop a pokemon from sliding or give a small pokemon a platform to stand on. The ice coating the arena floor is too thick to be dig into, and an earthquake or any other large attack will cause ice floes and glaciers to break. The arena is open to the sky, but it only snows or hails. Summary: ice covers the floor besides five feet strips on the north and south side. No dig but earthquake and other stuff is okay. No weather moves can be used. The weather is 100% snowy, but the end of every round there is a 33% chance it will start to hail. Water is accessible but is extremely cold. Ice types gain +2 speed and ice moves gain +2 to their BP.

Info on Truffles: Shunned and Rejected by its faults, Truffles doesn't care what others say. He knows his true power and can now use his eccentric abilities and brute force to turn the tides of the battle into his favor. "Welcome Terrador to my arena. sure, its a bit old and rusty and could use some tweaking, but for now it'll do just fine! I hope to have an interesting (and non-trolly) battle with you! Truffles the Mamoswine will be your opponent, and he'll have an Exp. Share.

"What will you use against my Pride and Joy?"

"Starmies are no fun for a Mamoswine.....No fun at all. Time to be clever and use our surroundings!"

Slide behind eastern Glacier~Bulldoze~Earthquake

"Twenty feet from the east and west sides of the arena are two large glaciers (One hundred feet long, twenty feet wide, both have increasing slopes of 80 degrees and are fifty feet tall. They have plateaus, peaks, and spikes)"

"Those attacks can't penetrate a Glacier of this caliber! hide behind it and get some attacks in! though i reckon your attack will weather your shield, you should still survive just fine! and since you are much faster on ice than starmie, you can get behind the shield before it even riles up the first surf!"

Not Clarified, so will treat as ALL ABILITIES MATCH!

The match within the Icy Cavern begins with an immediate Illumination from Celeste, lowering the accuracy of its opponent Truffles.

Truffles, who has the advantage in speed due to the arena, quickly Takes Cover behind a giant glacier! Celeste, not impressed, swamps up some shockingly cold water with a Surf, which worked its way around the glacier and hurt Truffles; that's not it, though, as Mamoswine is finding himself stuck to the floor!

Angry his arena's working against him, Truffles pulls off a Bulldoze attack, which was sufficient in knocking the ice around his hooves free. The glacier in between Truffles and Celeste, however, proved to be a hinderance; his proximity to the glacier caused the bulldoze's epicenter to be shifted to an unfortunate spot, reducing damage! Celeste, trying a speed reducing trick of its own, fires off an arena-boosted Icy Wind; most of it just built onto the glacier, however, and only half of the attack made it through to the Thick Fat Mamoswine.

Furious things still aren't going his way, Truffles lets loose a giant Earthquake of seismic proportions, completely destroying the glacier barrier and mauling Celeste with damage. Celeste takes her time, and unleashes yet another freezing Surf attack; without the glacier here to help freeze, though, the attack no longer freezes Truffles to the floor.

Who will win? I don't know, but I'm going to bed. Ciao.

mamoswine took the same amount of damage from both surfs, and there was a glacier there to stop the first one. you're telling me an 100 foot tall glacier does NOTHING to stop a surf? but the glacier stops an icy wind and a bulldoze? anyhow, i post post post now.

Ok Truffles, we knew this would be rough. try this!

Rest~Sleep Talk (Bite/Protect/Earthquake/Amnesia)~ Sleep Talk (Bite/Protect/Earthquake/Amnesia)

The water coated the floor, working its way around the glacier and still having the full sting of the attack. The spreading of the water's actually why it stuck to the ground: it became so thin that its temperature dropped suddenly.

Will ref when i get a chance. Killer headache stops this now.

So glad i volunteered to Sub-ref this match...just saying.

Truffles tries to take advantage of the situation by....sleeping? Oh, he's using Rest to heal his wounds caused by his failed attempts to hide. Celeste, again not impressed, shoots a painful Brine at Truffles, hurting so much he Woke Up!

Glacier orders Truffles to Sleep Talk, but Trufffles is awake (confused at the order at that), and the attack fails. Celeste is bored, and decides to finish the match in finesse...and fire another Brine to seal the deal.
