    Premise:
The gods have found favor with your Pokemon! Pick your god of choice and have its incredible powers bestowed upon your team.

    Rules:
    OU banlist, except that

Teams are allowed one Ubers tier 'God' Pokemon. The other teammates receive the base stat of the Uber Pokemon corresponding to their position on the team.

    Banlist:
    • Abilities: Huge Power, Pure Power, Shadow Tag
    • Items: (By extension of ability bans, Gengarite, Mawilite, and Medichamite are banned.)
    • Pokemon: Chansey, Blissey, (Mega Rayquaza remains banned)
    Current Watchlist (open)
    Dugtrio, Thick Club

    Explanation:
Here's how the Uber's stats are distributed to each team mate.

You will be able to recognize from team preview how your opponent is gifting their stats, based upon the position of their Uber.

    Here's an example:
In this case, Yveltal is my Uber Pokemon and is occupying slot 4. So, because Breloom is in slot 1, it will have its HP stat replaced with Yveltal's base HP of 126. Since Clefable is in slot 2, it gets Yveltal's ATK of 131. Heatran in slot 3 gets Yveltal's defense of 95. Yveltal is in slot 4, so nothing receives its special attack stat. Landorus in slot 5 gets Yveltal's Special defense, and lastly, Scizor in slot 6 gets Yveltal's speed stat. Where you place your 'God' Pokemon is extremely important in developing strong teams so do not take this important aspect lightly.

    What about Mega-Evolutions?
In the interest of not creating an entirely broken metagame, Mega Evolved Pokemon will retain their gifted stat before and after mega evolving. This is also the case for form changes.

    F.A.Q.s
What happens when the God has a form change or is a mega?
The stats of the god prior to form change or mega evolution are what are used to gift to the other teammates. For example, Aegislash's teammates will receives the shield form's stats. Mega Salamence's teammates get regular Salamence's stats. Primals will gift the stats of their normal forms as well.

What about the Gods themselves? Do they gain any stats?
No, they don't. Since they're "gifting" to themselves, their stats remain unchanged (i.e. Arceus still has 120 across the board because it only gives stats, not receive).

    Won't Shedinja be broken?
Nope. Shedinja's HP is hardcoded to 1. Hazards are your friends.

    When will X get banned?
There are certainly broken threats that may appear beyond our initial banlist thanks to the coming of a new generation, however, we don't want to ban anything outright before this is even playable, as such, there will be no quick-bans beyond our banlist from Gen 6. Topics on the banlist may be re-suspected but only if relevant arguments are brought up throughout discussion calling for such an action to occur. Things will be both VERY bulky and VERY strong in this meta, so you must prepare accordingly. When the time comes we can look at God bans and teammate bans, but again, please defer discussion about what needs to go until we can test it.

What if I don't have an Uber on my team?
The Pokemon in the first slot acts as the God Pokemon. Although this strategy isn't necessarily the most effective option, it can most certainly work to some extent thanks to Pokemon with incredibly high stats.

    Is this playable anywhere?
Yes! Thanks to urkerab, it is playable on ROM.

Gift of the Gods Viability Ranking
    Viability Ranking Just for Gods

Remember that this is Viability Ranking for Gods, NOT Followers.

    The ranking is based on:
    1. How good the stats are that the God Pokémon gives. This affects your team synergy and capabilities.
    2. How well the God Pokémon performs by itself in general.

Point #1 is more valuable than #2 (If not, Deo-A wouldn't have been S Rank), though #2 is still a pretty big factor when deciding upon a God Pokémon's ranking.

Note: Megas, Primals, and Arceus forms are ranked as one because they give the same stat distribution, while Giratina and Giratina-O are ranked separately because they give different stats spread.

Also since the number of potential gods is not high, there will be no subranks like A+ or A-. There will be only S, A, B, C, and Ubers that you shouldn't use as ranks. Each rank is listed in alphabetical order.

    S Rank:

    [IMG] Arceus
    [IMG] Groudon

    A Rank:

FINALLY Gift Of The Gods RETURNS !!! (Well under the new name of Godly Gift)

Eviolite is Legal from the start? Interesting

I still have Gotg teams, just need adjustment a bit. RIP Talonflame

Beware of Araquanid since he is the currently legal pokemon that have pseudo Huge Power.

I hope this become OMtM in April, yay.

Kartana + Lugia / Ho-oh seems pretty scary. They both give it 154 special defense, patching up it's biggest defensive flaw. Thanks to it's great typing, good defense, and insane attack, this could make Kartana a force to be reckoned with. It could function either as a bulky attacker, or as a wall that can also deal massive damage. I'm interested to see how this pokemon turns out!

So here we are, people. Meet a mon with a power that rivals BH Primal Kyogre. Yeah, I know this is slow so this probably won't be too much threat, but see this calc.

    252+ SpA Choice Specs Water Bubble Araquanid (180 SpA) Surf vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 318-374 (49.5 - 58.2%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO

yeah, I know Chansey is banned, but see that? If you hate stall so much (like me), use this.

In a similar vein to the above post there are 3 mons that stand out to me as potential defensive beasts (pun intended). These are inheritors only.

Nihilego: Nihilego's main flaw right now, besides its crippling weakness to ground, is its awful defensive stat. Couple it with something like Groudon, Arceus, Giratina, or Lugia and you suddenly have the mixed bulk mon of the century.

Buzzwole: Basically the same as above, but on the special side, and the crippling weakness is to flying. Off the top of my head good gods would be Ho-oh, Lugia, Kyogre, Giratina, or Arceus.

Toxapex: BAN THIS PLEASE. On a Giratina team it is capable of getting mixed defensive stats of 150/152/142, becoming bulkier than the god itself. Even without Giratina there are plenty of ubers with 120+ hp. It's untoxicable, has regenerator, has no crippling weaknesses, can set Toxic Spikes... like oh my god this thing will be a pain in my butt-ocks unless it gets banned and be basically impossible to break without a dedicated stallbreaker. Not just a stallbreaker but one that specifically can beat Toxapex.

NB: I'm not calling for an immediate ban of Toxapex but rather for it to be put on the radar.

PS: Why Nerdy posted an Araquanid set above while I was typing this...

252+ SpA Choice Specs Water Bubble (Deo-A) Araquanid Surf vs. 252 HP / 12 SpD (Giratina) Toxapex: 226-266 (44.8 - 52.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery....... WALLED, even without significant special defensive investment (without that 12 spd it had like a 1% chance to 2hko... which is a testament to Araquanid's power as well)

Switch Deoxys and Alakazam. Alakazam already has terrible Def, there's no reason to give it terrible SpD too.

why'd you all nerf the name of this so hard, other than giving it the initials for GG

Anyways, I'm super glad this is back in action... the Alolan Pokémon give this a different spin.

First of all, Toxapex/Mudsdale cores in Lugia/Giratina teams are going to be incredibly difficult to break. The bulk numbers on both of them are dumb, and it's to the point where Mudsdale can afford a rest on anything that doesn't have bone-shattering strength. And I don't need to explain Toxapex. 150/152/142 and Regenerator should do that for you.

Secondly, a ton of the new Alolan Pokémon are exceptionally slow. I can see Vikavolt and Crabominible in particular seizing the Speed slot of many teams. Xurkitree is also a great option, but Vikavolt does have FAR better coverage. (And it plays nicely into the next point...)

...Am I forgetting something? Oh yeah. ALOLAN MAROWAK. (And regular Marowak, for that matter) This requires even less explanation than before, and with Mega Heracross gone, these two are going to dominate.

Lastly, I still believe that Arceus, Lugia, Mewtwo, and Giratina are among the best gods, due to their sheer versatility (especially Arceus). Though Deoxys-A teams have also gotten better, thanks to that second point allowing for many scary sweepers.

I'm interested to see what catches on. Even Guzzlord's alright now, but it still has to specialize in one defense.... We'll just have to wait and see (and theorize...)

A problem with Marowak in the last generation, is that even with the boost in speed or attack, it was still a bad Pokemon all around. Sure it had decent viability thanks to Thick Club (I think B-), but it's coverage was just bad for the metagame. Alolan Marowak on the otherhand is going to be a beast for sure. Has amazing type coverage and if you give it a good Speed stat, you could probably get away with running Rock Head and spamming Flare Blitz.

Here are my initial thoughts, minus the stuff that has already been mentioned.

    Wishiwashi
Literally the first thing I thought of. You want School form to be near unkillable? Give it more HP. You want to turn School form into a terrifying sweeper, and make Solo form not useless? Give it a high speed stat and Endeavor.

    Alolan Ninetales
Give it high Special Attack. Spam Blizzard. Profit.

    Kartana
Kartana's biggest weakness is its garbage Special Defense. Not anymore.

    Pyukumuku
Unaware means that it can't be broken through with boosts, unlike Shuckle.

    Comfey
Give it a high Special Attack, and suddenly Draining Kiss becomes a lot scarier. Especially when it has more priority than Extreme Speed.

It's not incredibly reliable, but there is a way to toxic toxapex- Corrosion. Unfortunately, it's ability holder has terrible defences. Not even GG can patch up Salazzle to increase it to be able to be a defensive mon. But if you want to get rid of toxapex, it might, MIGHT, help.

Note that ROM's code for Gen 6 Gifts of the Gods only implements this for Mega Evolution, but server changes have made it possible for me to have a go at implementing this for all forme changes for Godly Gift, so for instance if you gift speed to Zen Mode Darmanitan, it will keep that speed when it switches into Darmanitan-Zen forme.

toxapex sounds like it's going to be pretty good in this now that it can have good hp in addition to its good defenses and regenerator, and improving kartana's low special defense, nihilego's poor regular defense, and lele's mediocre speed sound like helpful things to try out. Also, maybe guzzlord can see some use with better speed? probably not though since there are better pokemon to use that slot for, but who knows.
also araquanid seems neat with better stats
oh also, this is only somewhat related, but why did this change names from last gen?

Look like there's finally a meta this sweet lil fella can do something in. Ice/Fighting is amazing typing, and it gets great STAB moves for each. Given some speed from a god, this could be an excellent wallbreaker as there are few viable resists to its STABs.

I'm glad this is back, probably one of my more favorite OMs out there. Alomomola seems to still be godlike in this (I totally take credit for pioneering that mon) but this time I suppose toxapex gives it a little competition. Though it has to fight over the HP slot with the unbanned Mega Sableye which is tough. As for Araquanid checks, water absorb stuff (good old BH strats) like seismitoad, gastrodon or many one might rise in popularity as they'd be a hard stop to it.

As for gods, PDon and all the other old gods are probably still best but now Deo-A HO have access to Tapu Lele to prevent priority which is huge, as others above have noticed.

maybe a threat last gen that can handle toxapex is this?

    252 SpA Silk Scarf Swellow (180 SpA) Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Toxapex (150 hp): 255-300 (50.5 - 59.5%) -- 82.4% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
    252 SpA Life Orb Serperior (180 SpA) Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Toxapex (150 hp): 255-302 (50.5 - 59.9%) -- 85.5% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

but if toxapex raised SpDef, Then Swellow need specs to barely 2hko

    252 SpA Choice Specs Swellow (180 SpA) Boomburst vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Toxapex (150 hp): 246-291 (48.8 - 57.7%) -- 53.1% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

    the bulk is scary though.

read the forum before asking questions please, especially when its only one page (this isn't directed just at you, I've noticed a lot of sets getting posted 3 or 4 times in the om forum and it kind of irks me)

Awesome! Glad to see this returning. Good luck to the council.

The source of the banner is http://gymjack.deviantart.com/, specifically http://gymjack.deviantart.com/art/THE-CREATION-OF-MEW-259467709

The two new ubers, Solgaleo and Lunala have great stats for bulky teams.

    Solgaleo: 137 / 137 / 107 / 113 / 89 / 97
    Lunala: 137 /113 / 89 / 137 / 107 / 97

The stat contribution may not be as purely bulky as that from Giratina, but both Solgaleo and Lunala are better standalone pokemon than either Giratina form. Lunala in particular is hard to break through, even at ubers power levels, so I'm curious to see how it does against a boosted slate of competition.

A team I am thinking of using (In the order of the team):

    Pyukumuku (Stall Based Mon)
    Azumarill (Bulky Physical Attacker)
    Aromatisse (Bulky Cleric)
    Tapu Koko (Fast Special Attacker)
    Lunala (Specs Sweeper)
    Sableye-Mega (Fast Stall Mon)

    The God (Lunala)

    Lunala @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Shadow Shield
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Moonblast
    - Moongeist Beam
    - Psychic
    - Focus Blast

Lunala has a nice 137 SpA which is futher boosted by specs. 97 Speed is below average, but anything it hits is pretty much guarenteed to be KOed. The moveset chose gives it the best coverage it can get.

    Pyukumuku

    Pyukumuku @ Leftovers
    Ability: Unaware
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
    Calm Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Recover
    - Toxic
    - Reflect
    - Soak

This set is guaranteed to hit a Toxic thanks to Soak, so not even Steel and Poison block it.

I will add a few more things later

As far as I'm aware this is currently only playable on the Dragon Heaven server. The server is incorrectly not showing team preview and just sending out your first slot mon first. And the cancel button is also not present (although that may be a server wide thing, I don't know). The Pokémon get revealed out of order of their slots like this save for slot one and the Uber stays hidden until it's sent out, causing too much unpredictability for a healthy metagame. Add in the team preview like it's supposed to have. Here's a replay for proof:
