Except it has only 115 speed so you don't need scarfwd weavile, and it is still dirt frail. It will be a team building constraint for stall with 130 dual offenses, but it won't be broken.

Gods Among Us is just like a regular metagame, but with a twist. All Uber Pokémon are nerfed and introduced into OU! This is accomplished by a simple formula, (A÷2)+40, where A
represent the Pokémon's stats. This shakes up the metagame, introducing new threats and reviving old ones. Here is the new stat changes as listed below.

Its 150 speed is reduced by half then 40 is added, giving a result of 115.

In other news, I'm interested in how well Mega Gengar will do. Its lost some of its attacking power, but it's still incredibly useful with sets like its perish trapper one taking care of many stall mons. It can also be paired with a number of attackers to simply remove their checks, which is very useful.

That said, I don't know why we can't allow megas into the meta. The current code would nerf them perfectly well due to running on the same basic principles as the Tier Shift code, which boosts Gallade but not Mega Gallade I believe. I honestly don't see the problem with seeing Mega Gengar as an Uber while Gengar isn't, and thus nerfing Mega Gengar while leaving the standard form untouched as per Tier Shift philosophy.

I personally believe Mega evolutions are like bitter sweet. You sack item versatility for stats boosts, ability changes and posiible retypings. If they are changed to fit with the rules however, they go against all of that, since the Megas dodon't have ANY advantage to there other forms. They would be like Mega Latin@s, but much worse.

Mega Gar could have the stats of regular Gengar and it'd still be ridiculous because of Shadow Tag, great typing and movepool, PerishTrap, etc. It's just way too annoying for an OU based meta.


Mega Mawile would have a stat spread of: 65/92/102/67/87/65

Its base bulk (without EVs, for simplicity) shifts from 68926 > 65040 which is honestly not that much, becomes slightly faster which is not significant against offense, but against stall - 92 attack is still powerful with that typing and access to Swords Dance. Heck, 105 attack without Swords Dance got rebanned in No Status because it was still OP. Yeah, I don't see why this should be rebanned.

The less said about Kangaskhan-Mega the better. Parental Bond is not healthy.

I guess one could make a case for Mega Salamence and Lucario, but that's about it. Mega Salamence is less powerful with 87/112/105/100/85/100, but it does have advantages over Pinsir-Mega.

I think Mega Salamence definitely needs to rise to at least A+ imo. Intimidate + decent defence allows it many opportunities to set up, compared to Mega Altaria. Also, Aerilate Return/Double Edge does all kinds of damage, and can sweep easily after +1. Checks all kinds of stuff like Talonflame, Blaziken, Primal Groudon and Mega Loppuny. If it does not rise, then Mega Altaria should drop lower than it, because it does basically all the same things it does but better.

Could you put some formatting in there? Doesn't need to have all the nice sprites like other VRs, but some bold headings to distinguish ranks and subranks would make it a lot more comprehensible. Additionally: Where can we actually play this? If we can't, how are viability rankings anything other than theorymon? I guess I missed Snaq's post saying that it's playable on Aqua (that should go in the OP), but still I'd really like to see some replays of this meta before commenting on viability rankings. I'm also on Aqua and up for Gods Among Us if anyone wants to make said replays :)

It was taken off aqua due to the code breaking the server slightly, it's what I'm trying to fix right now.
Honestly, I'd be inclined to say that this meta should work in the same way that ubers works with both megas and primals, and that if they are overpowered here then that just means the nerf wasn't big enough.

I mean I do not find them too overpowering per say, but just due to the fact that it is essentially having like 3 mega evolutions in a OU and not Ubers environment might be a little too much. I am still not sure yet though.
