[OVERVIEW]
Golem is one of the most reliable Stealth Rock setters in the tier thanks to Sturdy, which allows it to withstand at least one attack, guaranteeing an entry hazard set; however, it faces competition from other Stealth Rock leads, such as Carracosta and Barbaracle. Sturdy and Explosion are the main reasons to use Golem over Carracosta and Barbaracle. In addition, Golem can be preferred over Probopass for its offensive presence and secondary Ground typing. STAB Earthquake and Stone Edge hit most of the common leads and provide great coverage. It finds a strong priority move in Sucker Punch, which makes up for its low Speed, and it has a few relevant resistances and a good Defense stat, which makes it a great check to some big threats such as Dodrio, Flareon, Ursaring, and Stoutland. However, it has a slew of weaknesses, including double weaknesses to Water- and Grass-type moves. Its offensive presence is limited by the amount of bulky Pokemon in the metagame, especially Water- and Grass-types. It also has no reliable forms of recovery, meaning it can't act as a physical wall and switch repeatedly into attacks.

[SET]
name: Lead
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stone Edge / Rock Blast
move 4: Explosion / Sucker Punch
item: Custap Berry / Weakness Policy
ability: Sturdy
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stealth Rock wears down opposing teams with residual damage and breaks Focus Sash and Sturdy. STAB Stone Edge and Earthquake cover a lot of threats and hit hard. Rock Blast may be used to break Substitutes and OHKO other Focus Sash leads such as Grass- and Bug-types. Explosion prevents spinners and Defoggers, such as Armaldo, Pelipper, and Togetic, from removing Stealth Rock and provides momentum for the team. It also weakens common checks to your team so that another Pokemon can clean later on. Sucker Punch can be used to pick off weakened but faster Pokemon.

Set Details
========

Sturdy allows Golem to survive at least one hit in order to set up Stealth Rock. A Weakness Policy allows it to make use of its weaknesses by discouraging the use of super effective moves when Golem is at full HP and helps deal more damage, particularly with Sucker Punch. A Custap Berry, on the other hand, can be run to let Golem use Explosion after Sturdy has activated, which is useful against faster Pokemon. Maximum Speed investment allows it to outspeed everything up to uninvested base 75 Speed Pokemon, such as Pelipper. An Adamant nature allows Golem to deal more damage, whereas a Jolly nature lets Golem outspeed standard Poliwrath.

Usage Tips
========

Golem is best used as a lead, as Sturdy will always be intact at the start of the match. Its main role is setting Stealth Rock up as soon as possible. It can also be used mid-game, as it can check Flying-, Normal-, and Electric-types. Even though Golem is a Ground-type, it can't properly counter Electric-types such as Zebstrika, as their coverage allows them to KO Golem. Use Explosion in front of slower Rapid Spin users and Defoggers in order to prevent them from removing entry hazards. Watch out for Mold Breaker Rampardos and Bullet Seed Torterra, which can easily OHKO through Sturdy. Golem should not be considered a reliable check to offensive threats, as without HP investment, Golem's bulk is mediocre at best. You can also switch Golem in many times in order to get it to Custap Berry range. Stealth Rock should not be used against faster Pokemon with Taunt, such as Misdreavus, because it'd be useless.

Team Options
========

This Golem set is one of the best Stealth Rock setters for hyper offensive teams, as it is relatively quick and powerful, and you can usually maintain Stealth Rock because of Explosion. It should be paired with a Ghost-type, such as Misdreavus, in order to block Rapid Spin, and possibly a Defiant user, such as Pawniard or Purugly, to benefit from Defog, as you'll often get only one chance to set Stealth Rock. Other entry hazard setters, such as Roselia, can be used to further increase the residual damage and create nice entry hazard-stacking cores. Powerful attackers, such as Zebstrika, Ninetales, and Sawsbuck, appreciate entry hazard support. Ninetales and Zebstrika, in particular, are great partners, as they're able to deal with bulky Grass- and Water-types.

[SET]
name: Tank
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Rock Blast / Stone Edge
move 4: Sucker Punch / Toxic
item: Leftovers
ability: Sturdy
nature: Adamant
evs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stealth Rock deals residual damage and breaks Focus Sash and Sturdy. Earthquake is Golem's strong STAB move. A Rock-type STAB move helps against common Defoggers and spinners such as Togetic, Pelipper, and Avalugg. Rock Blast is great for hitting through Substitute and breaking Focus Sash; it is also the only way for Golem to threaten Avalugg. Choose Stone Edge in order to deal more damage. Sucker Punch is great for picking off weakened Pokemon. Toxic can allow Golem to cripple some bulky Pokemon, as it otherwise couldn't do much to Pokemon such as Tangela and Poliwrath.

Set Details
========

Leftovers gives Golem slightly more longevity, notably restoring Sturdy after Golem switches into Stealth Rock. Sturdy allows Stealth Rock to be set up reliably. Most offensive teams can't really switch into Stealth Rock too many times. 44 EVs in Speed are needed to outrun uninvested base 50 Speed Pokemon, such as Piloswine, Lickilicky, and Carbink. 252 Attack EVs, along with an Adamant nature, allow Golem to deal as much damage as possible. 212 HP EVs are given to increase its bulk.

Usage Tips
========

Golem's main role on any team is to set Stealth Rock up, tank a few physical hits, and threaten the opponent's team with high-powered attacks. It is also useful throughout the match, as it is able to check Flying-, Electric-, Normal-, and Fire-types, especially if they are holding a Choice item. As such, there's no need to use it as a lead if the opposing team has a Defogger. Sucker Punch is useful to finish off weakened foes and get chip damage off before dying. For example, it lets Golem revenge kill weakened Simipour and Ninetales. Toxic should be used to hit bulky Pokemon, such as Tangela and Torterra, on the switch because staying in isn't recommended. Be careful of Taunt users, such as Misdreavus, because they can stop Golem from setting Stealth Rock up.

Team Options
========

Golem can fit in balanced and offensive teams because of its ability to maintain offensive presence and provide entry hazard support at the same time. Pokemon that can switch into Water- and Grass-types, such as Gourgeist, Torterra, and Tangela, make for useful partners. Roselia can be a good teammate, as it can set up entry hazards and it has good typing synergy with Golem. Golem has great synergy with offensive Flying-types, such as Dodrio and Chatot, as it can beat Steel-types, such as Probopass, with Earthquake and can tank Rock- and Electric-type attacks. Pokemon that prevent or discourage entry hazards from being removed, such as Misdreavus, Pawniard, and Purugly, are useful. Finally, Pokemon that benefit from Stealth Rock, such as Ninetales, Zebstrika, and Dodrio, are recommended as partners.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Superpower can be used to hit Normal- and Dark-types, such as Lickilicky, Ursaring, and Mightyena, super effectively. Thanks to Sturdy, Counter can be used to get rid of physical attackers after Golem gets hit by a powerful attack. Autotomize boosts Speed, making Golem more threatening and allowing it to outspeed almost the whole tier. A Choice Band may be given to deal more damage to the opposing Pokemon. Mental Herb prevents Taunt users from stopping Golem from setting Stealth Rock up.

Checks and Counters
=================

**Bulky Grass-types**: Pokemon such as Torterra, Gourgeist, and Tangela resist Golem's STAB attacks and can switch into it and either OHKO it with their STAB attacks or force it out.

**Bulky Water-types**: Pokemon such as Poliwrath can switch into Golem without taking much damage, due to their bulk and resistances, and OHKO it with their powerful Water-type STAB moves.

**Entry Hazard Removers**: Golem can deal with the most common Rapid Spin users such as Torkoal and Armaldo quite well and can deal damage to Defoggers such as Pelipper and Swanna on the switch in, but it is threatened by their STAB attacks and doesn't want its entry hazards removed.

**Anti-Leads**: Bullet Seed Torterra and Mold Breaker Rampardos are able to OHKO Golem regardless of Sturdy. Taunt users, such as Misdreavus, Vigoroth, and Kricketune, can stop Golem from setting up Stealth Rock.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Pokemon with super effective coverage, such as Raichu, Ninetales, and Zebstrika, can normally OHKO Golem, though Golem can survive a hit thanks to Sturdy and might have a Weakness Policy. Strong special attackers in general hit Golem pretty hard.

This is pretty much outdated in general, the major changes you should do before getting a second check(I don't even know why this is 1/3) are removing Tank Golem, which is bad at the moment(can fit in OO), remove banned Pokemon mentions, fix formatting of checks and counters, revamp the suicide lead set(for example: normal gem and power herb aren't that good and should be removed), add descriptions to other options and aim at least for two lines when you write checks and counters.

will come back and do a full check eventually

For the Tank set, give it 44 Spe EVs to outpace min Speed base 50s, such as Carbink, Metang, and Piloswine.

For set two, there are too many items. Cut Normal Gem. The boosted Explosion is cute, but the extra damage isn't actually the point. Besides, with Custap, you actually have a better chance at Exploding regardless. Weakness Policy is best with Sucker Punch, make note of that.

Usage Tips should note that Golem has utility mid game as well, due to it checking Normal, Flying, and Electric-types (especially Choiced ones) and having Sucker Punch/Custap Explosion. There's no need to think of the second set only as a suicide lead.

For OO, the Sun setter should be the first mention.

Fix the formatting for Checks and Counters, and update analysis with new format Tricking

qc thoughts on switching set order? It feels like the offensive set is just better overall.

I would also note in the Overview that it faces competition from other Rock leads, such as Carracosta and Barbaracle (who have better typing or Speed). I wouldn't emphasize it as a suicide lead either, as there are other suicide leads such as Dwebble that set up more hazards as well. It's more of an offensive powerhouse that happens to set up Rocks.

EDIT: Ditch Mental Herb imo, for reasons I just stated.

offensive > defensive for sure imo

[OVERVIEW]

  • One of the most reliable stealth rockers in the tier thanks to sturdy, but it faces competition from other Stealth Rock leads such as Carracosta and Barbaracle.
  • Edgequake STAB combo
  • Strong priority in sucker punch makes up for low speed
  • Has a few relevant resistances and good defence stat making it a great check to big threats like dodrio, scyther and flareon scyther is ban, remove plz. it checks stuff like stoutland, ninjask and ursaring. also sturdy lets it serve as a one-time check to ninetales and zebstrika
  • A slew of weaknesses including 4x weaknesses to water and grass hold it back

[SET]
name: Tank
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Rock Blast
move 4: Sucker Punch / Toxic
ability: Sturdy
item: Leftovers
evs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
nature: Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Stealth Rock is important on every team
  • Earthquake is strong STAB
  • Sucker Punch is great for picking off weakened mons
  • Rock blast is great for hitting through subs and sashes and has an average power of 79.2 - this info isn't really needed and doesn't explain golem's role, so should be removed
  • Rock STAB helps against common defoggers and spinners such as togetic, pelipper and avalugg avalugg isn't 2hkoed by rock blast unless it rolls 4 hits or more both times, so mention that rock blast is only really useful to hit avalugg on the switch (3 hits can 2hko most of the time after rocks)
  • Toxic can allow it to cripple mons it otherwise can't do much to such as tangela and poliwrath.

Set Details
========
  • Leftovers give Golem slightly more longevity, notably restoring sturdy after switching into stealth rock
  • Sturdy allows reliable rock setting also the checking tales and zebby thing, most offensive-ish teams can't really switch into them too many times
  • Nature and EV spread allow it to retain bulk as well as hit hard not really relevant and doesn't add much to analysis
  • 44 EVs in Speed to outrun base 50s

Usage Tips
========
  • Golem's main role on any team is to set up stealth rock, tank a few physical hits and threaten the opponent with high powered moves.
  • It's not a wall and should not be treated as such maybe go a bit more in-depth about this? like not switching in on stuff too many times (a lot of the tier can ohko this thing anyway but still) or smth
  • Sucker Punch is useful to finish off weakened opponents and get off chip damage before dying. it can let u revenge kill weakened simipour and weakened non-substitute ninetales
  • Toxic hits bulky mons on the switch because staying in isn't recommended.
  • It is also useful throughout the match as it is able to check Flying-, Electric-, Normal- and Fire-types, especially if they are holding a Choice Item.

Team Options
========
  • Golem can fit on both balance and offensive teams
  • Pokemon that can switch into Water- and Grass-types, such as Gourgeist and Tangela, make for useful partners roselia also seems good here since it forms a neat hazard stacking core and has good type synergy
  • Has great synergy with offensive flying types such as Dodrio, Scyther and Chatot as it can beat steel types with earthquake and can tank rock and electric attacks

[SET]
########
name: Offensive Suicide-Lead this should be renamed to "suicide lead" or "custap lead"

move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Rock Blast / Stone Edge
move 4: Explosion / Sucker Punch
ability: Sturdy
item: Custap Berry / Mental Herb / Weakness Policy
evs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
nature: Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Stealth rock is important.
  • Dual STAB covers a lot of threats and hits hard.
  • Explosion is a nuke and blocks against spin / defog and brings in a teammate safely. it weakens common checks to stuff on your team so another mon (like zebstrika if u boom on pilo) can clean later on.
  • Sucker punch can be used to pick off faster mons.
  • Custap Berry is to use Explosion after Sturdy is actived.
  • It can be used also in mid-game as it can check Flying-, Normal-, and Electric-types.

Set Details
========
  • Max speed almost guarantees setting rocks not really needed, remove
  • Max attack allows it to deal good damage after not really needed, remove
  • Normal gem powers up explosion to very high levels not on the set tho o_o
  • Mental herb + sturdy makes it very difficult to prevent rocks
  • Weakness policy allows it so make use of its weaknesses and discourages the use of super effective moves when Golem is at full HP. It also increases the damage of Sucker Punch.
  • Speed investment allows it to outspeed everything up to univested base 75 speed mons such as Pelipper.
  • Max attack for max damage not really needed, remove

Usage Tips
========
  • Very strong as a lead where sturdy will always be in tact
  • Using Explosion in front of slower spinners and defoggers blocks their hazard control
  • Watch out for Mold Breaker Rampardos and Bullet Seed Torterra which can easily OHKO
  • Should not be considered a reliable check to offensive threats the other set can take on. Without HP investment Golem's bulk is compromised
u can also switch in on stuff like ninetale's fire blast and pivot around to get into custap range. this lets it check setup sweepers like ninetales
Team Options
========
  • This is one of the best stealth rock options for Hyper Offense as it is relatively quick and relatively powerful also can maintain rox usually because of boom
  • Should be paired with a ghost type such as Haunter or Misdreavus and possibly a defiant user (Pawniard or Purugly) as often you'll only get one chance to set rocks haunter is RIP, remove.
  • If you need hazard control, preferably don't pair with defog support for the same reason as above ya this is good, but mention spinners like torkoal and avalugg in case you REALLY need them (u usually don't).
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
  • Sunny Day
  • Superpower
  • Counter
  • Rock Polish
  • Choice Band
elaborate on all of this plz
Checks & Counters
=================

**Bulky grass- and water-type mons**: Pokemon such as Poliwrath and Torterra can check Golem and KO it. tort can anti-lead too

**Physical walls**: Pokemon such as Misdreavus can stop every offensive use of Golem.

**Mons that can prevent stealth rock**: this includes Bullet Seed torterra, Mold Breaker Rampardos and Taunt users such as Misdreavus, Vigoroth and Kricketune.

**Anything with grass or water coverage**: they can normally OHKO Golem. This includes Raichu, Ninetales and Zebstrika. Strong special attackers in general hit Golem pretty hard.

well i'll probably check a bit more later when you're done w/ the whole skelly. i have been told that this should go back to QC 0/3 so yeah. good work on this analysis.

Overview:
'One of the most reliable stealth rockers in the tier thanks to sturdy, but it faces competition from other Stealth Rock leads such as Carracosta and Barbaracle.' - specifically say its niche over these two
'Edgequake STAB combo' - expand about this and how it is useful due to the lack of resists
'Sturdy lets it serve as a one-time check to ninetales and zebstrika' - this isnt very relevant as ninetales is used mid or late game when its sturdy would be broken due to hazards (similar to zebby)
Also you should mention that its offensive presence is limited due to the amount of bulky grass and water types

1st set:
UT: 'It's not a wall and should not be treated as such because it can't switch in on the most powerful threats many times and it lacks of recovery.' - i disagree with this as you say in the overview, it is a solid switch in to pokes like dodrio - this should be mentioned instead
Give examples of what toxic hits (tangela/torterra/etc)

TO: this needs a lot of work as there is much more to be said - for example you can give more examples of pokes that deal with its weaknesses

2nd set:
Remove mentions of mental herb as it is a lot worse than the other items

Moves: The last two lines dont really belong there

SD: Specifically say that custap should be used w/ explosion and sucker with weakness policy

UT: Mention that is doesnt have to be a lead, like if the opp has something to counter lead it or a reliable defog user

C&C: This needs a lot more work as currently it doesnt say much. you should expand on it by saying things like 'Bulky Grass-types such as Torterra and Tangela can switch in, easily live a hit then force Golem out with their Grass STABs'

Also Grass and Water types should be seperated
The last section should just be called **Super Effective Coverage**
And i think there should be a section for **Hazard Removal** as one of the sets is dedicated to hazards

Tricking do this please and retag me so i can through it again and stamp

The two sets should switch order as the lead set is much more effective in this metagame

Overview:
'One of the most reliable stealth rockers in the tier thanks to sturdy, but it faces competition from other Stealth Rock leads such as Carracosta and Barbaracle even if it has access to Sturdy.' - you still havent really said clearly its niche over these two (if you mean sturdy reword it to make it sound like sturdy is relevant rather than 'even if' - also costa also gets sturdy so that isnt the only reason)

1st set:
moves: you can merge the 4th and 5th points as they are about the same move

SD: '44 EVs in Speed to outrun base 50s' - give examples of base 50s
Also remove the bit about being a one time check to zebby/tales is it is hard to maintain sturdy through the game

UT: 'It can switch into Flying-types moves being a good wall.' - you can merge this with the last point and also give examples

2nd set:
The bit about sucker with wp and explosion with custap belongs in set details not usage tips

c&c: you have a prinplup mention
Like i said in my last check - **Pokemon with Super Effective Coverage** should just be called **Super Effective Coverage**
And **Mons that can prevent stealth rock** should just be called 'Anti-leads**
Also for physical walls can you mention more examples

Tricking this still isnt perfect but it needs to be on site asap so once you do all that 1/3

Rename the first set to "Standard' or "Lead", Custap isn't the only item on the set so this can be misleading.

Say somewhere that Explosion should always be used with Custap and Sucker Punch should always be used with Weakness Policy.

Honestly I wouldn't even mention spinners in TO of the first set, none of them work on the types of teams Golem works on. If you really need a hazard remover on an offensive team you shouldn't be using a suicide lead.

"Should not be considered a reliable check to offensive threats the other set can take on. Without HP investment Golem's bulk is compromised" - Since the set order was changed you should just name the tank set instead of just referencing it.

When you mention super effective moves in c&c mention sturdy as well as weakness policy.

Stone Edge should be the first if not only slash on the second set, Rock Blast's only use is to beat lead Spikes setters, and this set isn't usually used as a lead. Rock Blast ends up doing pitiful damage a lot of the time anyway, so Stone Edge is preferred on a tank set.

Mention on the lead set that Golem doesn't need to be used as a lead; it's just usually better to lead with it.

Remove mentions of Scyther because it's NU and Bastiodon and Wartortle because they're irrelevant.

Really minor but Autotomize > Rock Polish in OO, the former lets you take less damage from random Low Kicks while having the exact same main effect the latter does. Don't mention this in the analysis, just say Autotomize instead of Rock Polish.

Do this and I will stamp.

ALWAYS PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF POKEMON

1ST SET

[OVERVIEW]
mention better examples of srock setters such as probo, take care that probo has access to sturdy too so when you talk about the niches golem has over it don't mention the ability.
mention what sturdy does
ground-typing also gives it a niche over most sr setters
mention that it doesn't carry a reliable recovery so it can't perform defensive sets very well and cant constantly check attackers

[SET COMMENTS]
remove space
Moves
========
explosion doesn't bring teammates with safety, it just gains momentum
mention some rapid spin and defog users when you talk about explosion
It also weakens common checks to stuff on your team, so that another Pokemon, such as Zebstrika if Explosion is used against Piloswine, can clean later on. this is fluff, just say it can also open holes into the opposing team for teammates.
specify that you are talking about picking off weakened faster foes.

Set Details
========
mention what sturdy does
weakness policy powers up every physical move not only sucker punch lol.
mention that custap berry is useful against faster foes and priority users
on the other hand Weakness Policy helps deal more damage especially with Sucker Punch. remove this part you already said this
mention what Pokemon jolly allows golem to outspeed.

Usage Tips
========
mention its main task is setting up rocks
mention that even if it has a glue in its ground-typing it should still be wary when checking electric-types because they usually carry coverage moves to hit ground-types
mention that srock have to be set as early as possible
mention that stealth rock should not be used when facing fast taunt users such as Missy, as they can block Golem's attempt in setting them

Team Options
========
mention what ghost-types do(spin block) and what defiant users do(deter the use of defog)
mention pokemon that appreciate stealth rock support

mention what sturdy does
ground-typing also gives it a niche over most sr setters
mention that it doesn't carry a reliable recovery so it can't perform defensive sets very well and cant constantly check attackers

explosion doesn't bring teammates with safety, it just gains momentum
mention some rapid spin and defog users when you talk about explosion
It also weakens common checks to stuff on your team, so that another Pokemon, such as Zebstrika if Explosion is used against Piloswine, can clean later on. this is fluff, just say it can also open holes into the opposing team for teammates.
specify that you are talking about picking off weakened faster foes.

mention what sturdy does
weakness policy powers up every physical move not only sucker punch lol.
mention that custap berry is useful against faster foes and priority users

[OVERVIEW]
Golem is one of the most reliable Stealth Rock setters in the tier thanks to Sturdy, but it faces competition from other Stealth Rock leads, such as Carracosta and Barbaracle. Sturdy and Explosion are the main reasons to use Golem over Carracosta and Barbaracle. Sturdy, in fact, allows to Golem to resist at least an attack granting withstand at least one attack, guaranteeing (condensed and made it a bit more clear, "resist" isn't quite the right word to use here) an entry hazard set. In addition, Golem can be preferred over Probopass for its offensive presence and Rock / Ground-type typing. Earthquake and Stone Edge can hit most of the common leads and provides a great coverage. It finds a strong priority move in Sucker Punch that makes up for its low speed; it has a few relevant resistances and a good Defense stat which makes it a great check to some big threats such as Dodrio, Flareon, Ursaring, and Stoutland. Though However, it has a slew of weaknesses, including double weaknesses to Water- and Grass-types. Its offensive presence is limited by the amount of bulky Pokemon, especially Water- and Grass-types. It also has no reliable forms of recovery, therefore meaning it can't act as a physical wall swiching and switch repeatedly into attacks.

Moves
========
Stealth rock Rock is important, (AC) as it helps wears down opposing teams with residual damage and breaking breaks Focus Sash and Sturdy. Stone Edge and Earthquake as its main STAB moves cover a lot of threats and hit hard. Rock Blast may be used to go past break Substitutes and OHKO other leads with Focus Sash leads, such as Grass- and Bug-types. Explosion blocks Rapid Spin users spinners and Defoggers, such as Armaldo, Pelipper, and Togetic, and provides to gain momentum for the team. It also weakens common checks to stuff on any checks to your team, (RC) so that another Pokemon can clean later on. Sucker punch Punch can be used to pick off weakened, (AC) but faster, (AC) mons Pokemon. Of course, Explosion should always be used with Custap Berry, whereas Sucker Punch should always be used with Weakness Policy. (You don't really need to put this here. While items are important to note, this info is already noted in the Set Details, where information on items belongs)

Set Details
========
Sturdy allows Golem to resist at least a hit in order to set an entry hazard up. A Weakness Policy allows it to make use of its weaknesses and by discourages discouraging the use of super effective moves when Golem is at full HP and helps deal more damage, particularly with Sucker Punch. A Custap Berry, instead on the other hand, can be given Golem to use Explosion after Sturdy has activated and is useful against faster Pokemon; on the other hand Weakness Policy helps deal more damage especially with Sucker Punch. (Moved to condense and group things) Speed investment allows it to outspeed everything up to uninvested base 75 speed Speed mons Pokemon, (AC) such as Pelipper. An Adamant nature allows Golem to deal more damage, whereas a Jolly nature is given in order to get more Speed and lets Golem outspeed (...So what does it outspeed then?)

Usage Tips
========
Golem doesn't need to be used as a lead, but it is always better to do this. In fact it's very strong as a lead where (First sentence doesn't seem needed and it contradicts what's later stated in the paragraph anyways. Can be condensed into this) Golem is best used as a lead, (AC) as Sturdy will always be in tact intact at the start of the match (a little more specific, you don't need to add it if you don't want to). Its main role is setting Stealth Rock up as soon as possible. By the way, it It can be used also in mid-game, especially if the opponent has a Defogger, as soon as it can check Flying-, Normal-, and Electric-types. Even though Golem is a Ground-type, it can't properly counter Electric-types, such as Zebstrika, as their coverage allows them to KO Golem. Use Explosion in front of slower Rapid Spin users and Defoggers in order to block their hazard control removal. Watch out for Mold Breaker Rampardos and Bullet Seed Torterra, (AC) which can easily OHKO going through while ignoring Sturdy. It Golem should not be considered a reliable check to offensive threats the other set can take on. , (AC) as Without without HP investment, Golem's bulk is compromised mediocre at best ("comprised" isn't incorrect per se, but it's not really a word you'd normally use for something like this). You can also switch in many times in order to get to the Custap Berry range. Stealth Rock should not be used against faster Pokemon with Taunt, (AC) such as Misdreavus, (AC) because it'd be useless.

Team Options
========
This is one of the best Stealth rock options for Hyper Offense, (AC) as it is relatively quick and relatively powerful, you can usually maintain Stealth Rock because of Explosion. It should be paired with a Ghost-type, such as Misdreavus, in order to block Rapid Spin, (AC) and possibly a Defiant user, such as Pawniard and Purugly, to benefit from Defog, as often you'll often get only one chance to set use Stealth Rock. Other entry hazard setters, such as Roselia, can be put used to further increase the residual damage and create nice hazard stacking cores. Powerful attackers, such as Zebstrika, Ninetales, and Sawsbuck, appreciate this entry hazards support. Ninetales and Zebstrike Zebstrika, in particular, are great partners, (AC) as they're able to deal with bulky Grass- and Water-types.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Stealth Rock is important on every team because of its deals residual damage and because it breaks Focus Sash and Sturdy. Earthquake is Golem's strong STAB. Rock blast Blast is great for hitting through Substitute and breaking Focus Sash. In addition, a Rock-type STAB helps against common defoggers and spinners such as Togetic, Pelipper, and Avalugg. Rock Blast is the only way for Golem to threaten Avalugg for Golem. Choose Stone Edge in order to deal more damage. Sucker Punch is great for picking off weakened Pokemon. Toxic can allow it to cripple some bulky Pokemon, as it otherwise couldn't do much to Pokemon such as Tangela and Poliwrath.

Set Details
========
Leftovers gives Golem slightly more longevity, notably restoring sturdy Sturdy after switching into Stealth Rock. (add period) Sturdy allows reliable rock Stealth Rock setting. Most offensive teams can't really switch into them too many times. 44 EVs in Speed are needed to outrun uninvested 50 base 50 speed Speed Pokemon, (AC) such as Piloswine, Lickilicky, and Carbink. 252 Attack EVs, (AC) along with an Adamant nature, (AC) allow Golem to deal as much damage as possible. 212 HP EVs are given to increase its bulk, instead.

Usage Tips
========
Golem's main role on any team is to set Stealth Rock up, tank a few physical hits, (AC) and threaten the opponent with high powered powerful moves attacks. It is also useful throughout the match, (AC) as it is able to check Flying-, Electric-, Normal-, (AC) and Fire-types, especially if they are holding a Choice Item item. So As such, there's no need to use it as a lead if the opposing team has a Defogger in it. Sucker Punch is useful to finish off weakened opponents, (RC) and get off chip damage off before dying. For example, it can lets you revenge-kill (remove hyphen) weakened Simipour and Ninetales. Toxic hits bulky Pokemon, (AC) such as Tangela and Torterra, (AC) on the switch because staying in isn't recommended. Be careful of Taunt users, (AC) such as Misdreavus, (AC) because the as they can stop Golem from setting Stealth Rock up.

Team Options
========
Golem can fit in balanced and offensive teams because of its ability to simultaneously maintain offensive presence and provide hazards support at the same time. Pokemon that can switch into Water- and Grass-types, such as Gourgeist, Torterra, (AC) and Tangela, make for useful partners. Roselia can be a good teammate, as it can set up entry hazards and it has a good typing synergy with Golem. It Golem has great synergy with offensive Flying-types, such as Dodrio and Chatot, as it can beat Steel-types, such as Probopass, with Earthquake and can tank rock Rock- and Electric-type attacks. Pokemon that prevent hazards from being removed, such as Misdreavus as a spinblocker, (RC) and Pawniard or Purugly as Defiant users, are useful. Then Finally, Pokemon that benefit from Stealth Rock, (AC) such as Ninetales, Zebstrika, and Dodrio, (AC) are recommended as partners.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
Sunny Day and Heat Rock can be used to give sun support, (RC) after having setting Stealth Rock up. Superpower can be used in order to hit Normal- and Dark-types, such as Lickilicky, Ursaring, and Mightyena, (AC) super effectively. Counter, (RC) instead, (RC) can be used to get rid of Physical Attackers physical attackers thanks to Sturdy, (RC) after Golem got gets hit by a powerful attack. Autotomize is used to boost Speed being more threatening and allowing Golem to outspeed almost the whole tier. A Choice Band may be given in order to deal more damage to the opposing Pokemon. A Mental Herb can be given as well in order to prevent Taunt users from stopping it to set Stealth Rock up.

Checks and Counters
=================

**Bulky Grass-types**: Pokemon such as Torterra, Gourgeist, and Tangela can switch into Golem, (AC) resisting to resist its STAB attacks, and either OHKO it thanks to their STAB attacks, (RC) or just force Golem to switch out.

**Bulky Water-types**: Pokemon such as Poliwrath can switch into Golem without taking much damage, as they resist almost any of its moves thanks to their bulk due to their bulk and resistances, and OHKO it with their powerful Water-type STAB.

**Hazards Removers**: (Please insert a sentence concerning why Hazard Users are not good here) However, It Golem can deal with the most common Rapid Spin users such as Torkoal and Armaldo quite well; It can deal damage to Defoggers such as Pelipper and Swanna on the switch in, but it is threatened by their STAB attacks and their trait to remove entry hazards.

**Anti-Leads**: this includes Bullet Seed Torterra, (RC) and Mold Breaker Rampardos and Taunt users such as Misdreavus, Vigoroth and Kricketune . All this Pokemon are able to OHKO Golem going past Sturdy regardless of Sturdy. Taunt users, such as Misdreavus, Vigoroth, and Kricketune, can stop Golem from setting up Stealth Rock. (You never described the problem with Taunt users. Since I certainly don't see any of these three actually KOing Golem, I'm going to assume that these Pokemon disrupt its ability to use Stealth Rock)

**Super Effective Coverage**: Pokemon with a super effective coverage, (AC) such as Raichu, Ninetales, and Zebstrika, (AC) can normally OHKO Golem, (AC) even if they may active its Weakness Policy and though Golem can may resist survive a hit with thanks to Sturdy and it may have a Weakness Policy. This includes Raichu, Ninetales and Zebstrika. Strong special attackers in general hit Golem pretty rather hard.
